“Cyclo! As of today, you are hereby banished from the Craftsmen’s Guild!”
The one who suddenly said such a thing was Rowe Shortock, the guildmaster of the Craftsmen’s Guild.
“You can’t do that!? It’s too sudden! Did I do something wrong!?”
And this boy who argues against Rowe is the banished Cyclo Owen himself.
“Of course it’s wrong? Don’t think we’ll keep an incompetent like you in the Craftsmen’s Guild forever!”
“N-No way …… I’ve been contributing to the Craftsmen’s Guild diligently all these years! I even repaired an old clock at the royal palace the other day!?”
“Hmph! That’s why, Cyclo! A Clock User like you, with your incompetent skills, can do nothing more than repair clocks like that!”
Rowe saying that to him, Cyclo can only grunt and groan.
That’s right. Cyclo is, after all, a rare skill bearer, which is called the “Clock User”.
""
…… The usefulness of the skill, however, has nothing to do with its rarity.
“If it weren’t for you, the work at the royal palace could have been allocated to other promising craftsmen, you know? And since you have the Clock User skill! I had no choice but to assign it to you!!”
“Tha-, That’s …..”
“I can’t take this anymore! Get out of my craftsmen’s guild!”
As it is, he is kicked out of the Craftsmen’s guild.
“Ugh …… Ouch. What should I do? All I have left with me is my watch.”
At a loss, Cyclo muttered to himself.
“But from the looks of it, I don’t think the guildmaster will listen to me …… I’ll go and ask him again tomorrow, at least, after he has calmed down! If that doesn’t work–“
Having gone that far, Cyclo shakes his head.
That’s right. If that didn’t work, Cyclo would no longer have any chance.
It’s useless to even imagine it. He would have to beg or do whatever it takes to survive.
“…… Ha~. It’s no use thinking about it. Let’s go home and sleep for now. I’m sure the Me tomorrow will come up with some good ideas.”
Saying something optimistic like that, Cyclo trudged out of the Craftsmen’s guild.
And…… as he headed back, he thought.
How did it come to this?
Come to think of it, it all started that day, he thought.
That’s right — Cyclo’s wheel of life went haywire that day.
It was the day he received his “Skill-Giving Ceremony” at the age of 16.

Today, in commemoration of Narrative Works’ first comic book publication, we are starting a series of submissions!
In addition to my work, I am also working on a comic book “The old convenience store clerk who got caught up in the class transfer seems to become the most powerful by using the leftover skills that the heroes didn’t need”. (Author: Ayase Hiura (日浦 あやせ)), which will also be published as a comic book.
