And so – Sarina quit her job as a servant of the Count’s family.
Since it was a live-in job, Sarina packed her bags and went back home — to her house where Cyclo would be waiting for her.
And what she saw was a sight she had not expected.
“What, oh my?”
The house where Sarina lived was uninhabited and uninhabitable due to Cyclo’s arrest.
That is why – the land had been confiscated by the state, handed over to a real estate agent, and even sold off to a family that would become the new owners.
To Sarina, who was unaware of these circumstances, it looked as if a strange family was living in her house.
“Excuse me.”
“Yes? Can I help you?”
“I believe this house is owned by a man named Cyclo Owen?”
So Sarina approached the family that formerly lived in our house to ask what was going on.
“Uh …… oh! You mean the person who used to live here before!”
“What?” Before?”
“Yes, that’s right. He’s the guy who was caught in that serial rape case, isn’t he?”
“What!?”
It was a revelation to her.
Sarina was at a loss as to why, but the new resident seemed to be a chatterbox and continued to talk one-sidedly.
“I heard that he was caught by the police when he tried to attack a neighbor. So we bought this house when it was vacant. Well, we were allowed to buy it at a very low price because it was a property with a history…”
The resident went on to talk about many things, but not even half of what she said entered Sarina’s head.
