Vegan Pulvis was still in his office in the main house of the Pulvis family that Quinn Pulvis had just left, and everything was silent. He took the teacup Anna Armstrong gave him, sat on the edge of his desk, and pressed his nose against the steam.

"The aroma is quite wonderful."

"Sir, it's made with Fuinta tea leaves that were found in a double dungeon. Given the price, it ought to taste and smell fantastic, but it's pretty poor."

"It is not necessary for it to smell nice. The scarcity of Fuinta tea contributes to its value. Why people purchase this sort of product is obvious."

Vegan cocked an eyebrow as he drank to soothe his throat.

"It's sour. I'd prefer to drink some Lip tea."

"Sir, you seem to want sweets more as you get older."

"32 years ago, I thought that to be mature, I had to relish in my bitterness, but today I don't agree. When there is delicious food available, why would you want to taste something bitter?"

After throwing the tea away and setting the teacup down, Vegan chuckled a little.

"Sir, you're being contradictory. Didn't you give Quinn Pulvis a gift?" You could sense Anna's curiosity as much as her enmity towards Quinn as she spoke.

When Anna posed her query, Vegan's lips and eyes strangely lifted. At first impression, he appeared to be angry, but strangely, he also appeared to be smiling.

"She's my baby girl, isn't she?"

"You have seven boys and five of them, sir."

"Who cares if I do? I love every one of them dearly."

Even though He is overtly severe with them, Anna Armstrong was aware that He is also concerned for them in secret.

"In the end, sir, you'll only taste bitterness."

The identical Fuinta tea that Vegan had poured for himself, Anna also presented to herself, but she tilted her head, appearing perplexed.

"Are you attempting bitterness once more, sir?"

"I prefer sweet stuff as I said."

Vegan replied with a hard head shake.

Through the tea steam, Anna's eyes could be seen faintly glinting. In their prior conversation, she had repeatedly stepped over the boundary and retreated. After all, the majority of her inquiries amounted to nothing less than interrogations.

Vegan pulvis, though, didn't appear to be furious at all. Instead, he appeared to be jubilant.

She had undoubtedly been by Vegan pulvis' side the longest, Anna Armstrong was certain.

"Sir, you must believe that the youngster will surpass my expectations."

Vegan chuckled and sidestepped her query, saying, "Haha... she couldn't be completely incompetent from the start. She is the child of "she" and myself. Her descent is on par with Anderson's if you simply considered lineage among my offspring. Her earlier deeds, as opposed to her recent ones, were puzzling."

He mentioned two individuals who had not been mentioned for a very long time: Quinn Pulvis's mother and Anderson Pulvis, Vegan's eldest son.

As Anna thought back on what Quinn Pulvis had done for her just a few hours earlier and about Quinn's mother, her eyes grew cold.

Her knowledge of Quinn Pulvis' mother, who had already passed away, was extremely limited.

However, She was highly knowledgeable about Anderson Pulvis.

Anderson was currently in the ICU after suffering a fatal accident in a triple dungeon, but if he had grown up normally, he undoubtedly would have been Vegan pulvis.

Due to his exceptional charisma and character, Anderson pulvis continued to have a sizable following of followers even though he was no longer in the running to succeed Vegan pulvis.

Anna Armstrong honestly thought it was ridiculous that Vegan was equating someone like Anderson with that cunning and worthless Quinn pulvis.

Even though Quinn Pulvis has improved and is beyond his expectations, Anna didn't think she could defeat Anderson.

Quinn Pulvis would only be capable of competing in...

Anna thought about it and clenched her fist.

"Lineage is revealed once more."

Given that Vegan Pulvis had a strange obsession with blood, it might have been what he desired.

"Take care. I comprehend what you're expressing. Vegan moved his head to the right to gaze at Anna before turning it back.

"My apologies, sir,"

"Well, you see, that's one of the reasons I keep you at my side. You still think you can defeat my kids and succeed me, don't you?"

(What a bloody man, he didn't keep me by his side out of love or loyalty, but out of rivalry and blood?) Since Vegan Pulvis is a complex man, Anna felt resentful that she now knew who he was but wasn't positive about who he was.

If you gave me a chance, I don't think it'd be impossible, sir.

In the back of her mind, Anna wondered, (but how did Quinn know about it; I'm sure that's why she did what she did.)

She was aware of the meaning concealed by those difficult-to-understand words.

"I'm grateful."

"In any case, pay attention to Quinn Pulvis."

"Should I keep an eye on her or defend her?"

Quinn Pulvis received a gift from Vegan Pulvis.

Nothing about this should be taken lightly.

If Vegan's acts caught Quinn Pulvis's siblings' attention and they would learn about it soon away. They could not possibly remain motionless.

They mocked and derided Quinn pulvis, but he had a gift.

It was shocking because several of his siblings still hadn't received a gift from Quinn Pulvis.

Naturally, not every single one of them would leave Quinn Pulvis alone.

“Protection? That is absurd. She should rely on her abilities to take care of herself. Contrary to an elderly person like myself, she should experience the harshness of life, don't you think?"

Vegan smirked as he got up from his seat and gave a headshake.

Whether she was playing a bluff or not, vegan pulvis wondered, (My dear girl, what will you do now?)

However, Quinn Pulvis though resisted tasting the acridity.
