Chapter 11

The Smell of Romantic Comedy

“Sharing an umbrella… your spring has finally come, huh?”

“Oh, shut up. What are you going to do if they heard you?”

“Eh? Well, with my body–”

“All right, drop dead.”

When I forced Yusuke to refrain from saying or doing anything with my full force chop, he screamed “Fuuuu…!” and held his head in pain.

Aikawa-san isn’t here right now, so it’s not a problem, but it would be very troublesome if our other classmates heard about it.

It’s one of the downsides of being a growing teenager where you just assume things like that.

“That sounds like sarcasm to me.”

It sounded like a compliment when Yusuke, a popular and handsome guy, said that to me. 

He continued to praise me with a gentle smile on his face.

Ah~ I wonder how many girls have fallen for his handsome smile.

“Oh yeah, you’ve been training hard with your muscles, right?”

“Ugh…”

I couldn’t argue with him because he had hit the nail on the head. It was true that I wanted to be popular, but when my best friend was so popular, I couldn’t help but lose my confidence.

“Yusuke…? He said he likes sweets in general. But, I’m sure he loves chocolates the most.”

“R-Really? I-I understand!”

She took out the note again and said, “Thank you very much!” then walked away from me.

Ohh~ Yusuke was amazing after all. He was able to win Moezono over just by pairing up with her in PE class. It’s not fair to be so handsome!

“I’m starting to get sick of this…”

I walked downstairs, bought a black coffee that I couldn’t possibly drink, and chugged it down. After filling my spoiled mouth with the bitterness of the coffee, I went back up the stairs.
