Chapter 6-3. Hiryu and Kiryuu (Flying Dragon and Mounted Dragon)
After getting the food for the Hiryu from Houen, Jigal led me to the hut where the mounted dragon was said to be.
I was told that Roze was managing it, but I didn’t know that. ……
“Isn’t the shed huge?”
“Well, it’s …… Roze-san after all.”
The building is a little too big to be called a shed.
Rather than being a very extravagant ……, it was built as if it was an ordinary house that had been converted into a shed.
It is hard to believe that this is a shed.
The location is next to the city walls.
It is a place where the wall is attached to the fortress wall.
Even from here, one can tell that the area is quite spacious.
What’s up with the S-rank adventurers’ finances?
Is it more than the amount of money I received from the prince?
But it’s not like Roze is doing this alone. ……
Hey, but she’s going to raise them, right?
So does that mean she’s doing it all by herself? ……
Well, there is no point in thinking about it.
For now, let’s go inside and take a look.
Where are they?
“The two of them are inside.”
“How can S-rank adventurers be so carefree when we’re in the middle of a reconstruction process?”
“No, they have nothing to do. …… You can’t take away the other adventurers’ jobs, you know?”
“Is that how it is?”
“Well, that’s the way it’s supposed to be.”
If high-rank adventurers took away all the jobs, there would be no work for low-rank adventurers.
High-ranked adventurers, who can do everything, are willing to give up their jobs to low-ranked adventurers who can only do a few things.
There may be some people who are not suited for the job, but that kind of consideration is definitely necessary.
This is why jobs are assigned according to rank.
It must be hard for the guilds to manage this …….
Well, that’s their job, isn’t it?
While thinking about this, Jigal and I walked into the building.
When we opened the door and walked in, the interior was just like any typical one you’d find anywhere.
There is a desk, a chair, a chest of drawers, and a cooking area.
Living here doesn’t seem like it would be hard at all.
“This way.”
Jigal said and put his hand on the door in the back to get out.
Apparently, you can get out through there.
The fortress wall continues to the back of the building.
When you go out through the door, you will see a grassy field surrounded by the fortress walls.
I wondered if such a large space was necessary, but it was said that some of the dragons were running on land, so I guessed that this much space was necessary.
Then, the mounted dragons in question were quickly spotted.
[Guru?]
[Thurururu……]
Frankly speaking, I thought they were pretty big.
There seem to be three of them in total, one flying dragon with wings and dark brown scales.
The other two are black, mounted dragons that do not have wings but have large claws and well-developed limbs.
They were quite thin, but they looked like they could carry a person and run with no problem.
Roughly what I had imagined.
But I think it would be a little too soon for Jigal to ride on this one. ……
He doesn’t look tall enough yet.
Yurie and Roze were next to the flying dragon with wings, and they seemed to be discussing something.
Jigal calls out to the two of them.
“Yurie-san! Roze-san!”
“Hm? Whoa!”
“Eh? Hey, is that you Ouren-san!”
What the heck with that [Whoa]!
So rude, really.
Well, I’m glad to see that they are still the same, that’s my honest feeling.
Having Yurie be so polite to me is just too weird, I think.
