Chapter 32: Chapter 32 – Funeral Home.

Not knowing what to do to break into the funeral home during the day, I waited for the night to come. As soon as night came, I returned to the building and snuck into the alley next to it.

The first thing I did was listen to the sounds produced inside. It was silent, so there was probably no one inside now. And if there was, I could escape without being identified since I was wearing this.

I put a cloth on to hide my face and hair. I looked like a criminal at this point.

I slowly climbed the building. With my physical strength, it wasn't challenging to use some irregularities in the wall and get to the top. And when I got there, I ducked down so no one could see me.

Even though it was night, many people were still on the street.

I walked on the ceiling of the whole building, checking the windows on the second floor. Luckily, one of them was open. With quick movements, I used the window and entered the building.

Honestly, I didn't even know how I was doing it. It was like I was a pro at parkour. I held on to the roof of the building and put my two feet on the window. And then I entered.

As I entered, I noticed a few rooms with lights on.

There were about five rooms in the hallway in front, and to my right was a stairway leading downstairs. It was the same stair I had seen when I came here earlier. I went downstairs slowly.

There was no one at the front desk.

I went up again and started visiting the rooms. The first room had its light turned off. I created a light source using fire magic and found a room with a table in the center and chairs.

A meeting room or something?

Then, after leaving the meeting room, I went into one room with its lights on. There I found what I wanted to see. It was a room full of drawers where they kept the bodies. In the center of the room was a table where they cleaned and prepared the bodies.

There were many drawers. There were 10 on the left, 10 on the right, and 10 in front of me. So I started to open the drawers looking for the children. I confess that it was something extremely unpleasant.

In the first drawer I opened, I found the body of a man. It was an older man. His body was pale and had a cut that started on his shoulder and went down to his stomach. It was a pretty horrible injury.

I quickly closed the drawer and then started to open the others. All the drawers on the right side of the room were full of bodies, but none of them had the bodies of any of the children in them.

I looked in all the others and didn't find the body of any child either.

"Are they in another room?" There were two more rooms with the lights on and one with the lights off. I walked towards the other room with the light on, but when I partially opened the door and looked inside, I found a man.

He was a pale, tall man. He had hair only on the sides of his head and was old. The man wore an oversized white lab coat and a surgical mask over his face.

The man was analyzing a man's body on the table. I'm glad he didn't notice my presence.

'I'll go in the other room.' He started cutting up the man's body with a scalpel, so my time to get out of there had come. I went towards the other room with the light on and found more drawers.

I opened all the drawers, and most of them were empty. And the ones that had bodies, none of them were one of the four children, which meant that their bodies were in the same room as that man was.

'Damn. Do I have any way to make that guy sleep for a while? I think I can do something.' I walked to the previous room and partially opened the door again. I saw that the man was focused on cutting the body.

I took advantage of this opportunity.

Using all the strength in my legs, I opened the door and ran toward the man. I had total control of my speed. It was pretty unbelievable.

He didn't have time to react. I hit him on the back of the head, and he collapsed while still holding his scalpel. He almost cut himself.

"Haaa~~ It worked. I hope he's not dead." I dragged the man's body to the corner of the room and then started looking in the drawers. I tried to ignore the body on the table, but it wasn't easy.

"Nothing here...."  "Nothing."  "No children here."

I opened three drawers before finally finding one of the children. The little girl who had told me about her brother and crying desperately in my "nightmare." Her body was pale and cold.

She was without clothes. I took her in my arms and then put her on the floor.

Resuscitating her now would be a bad thing to do. I searched through all the drawers and found the other three children. I laid them down on the floor next to each other and then took a deep breath. I looked at the injuries I had caused to them and started to feel bad.

But I had to calm down. This was not the time for that.

"Carrying the bodies of these children out of the funeral home would be a complicated thing. I think I should at least take them to another room. They will panic if they see the body on the table."

I took the little girl in my arms and then took her to the meeting room. I found the device to turn on the lights, so I did it.

After that, I put all the children lying there. I took advantage of the fact that I had returned to the room where the bodies were before and took some white sheets from a small closet.

It would serve as protection since the children were naked.

After all this preparation, I should finally start resurrecting them. However, something tells me I should not do this with all the children in the same room. If they wake up, they will panic at seeing their friends dead.

"Okay, let's do this."
