The reason why I'm confused is now, whenever I see Oni, I don't know if the author means Ogre or just "Demons" in general. Like, is Gran saying that there are more ogres or demons in general in the forest? Cuz, Ars literally meant Ogres after describing the Oni as an Ogre, but author-san still used Oni (鬼) to signify that, though. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Japanese so confusinnggggg.
