Syri, the name of the fox Shin gave.

Syri was a white female fox. Its eyes were blue and had 9 white fluffy tails on its back.

(A/N: I'm also going to refer to Syri as 'her')

Ninetails? Seriously?

Syri was just a normal fox. Her family was massacred by a bear. She was about to be the next victim but fortunately, Shin appeared and saved her.

Syri originally had a single tail, but with the power of Shin's Op-Op bullshit, he attached some 8 other more tails on her back.

Initially, her tails weren't functioning, it was just there as a decoration. But Shin was bored, he decided to research more about his power. Then somehow find a way to connect all of her tail's nerves to her brain. Now she can control all of her tails normally as if she was born with it.

"Ning!" Syri climbed onto Shin's shoulder removing the bamboo hat on his head which was now placed on his back as its strings hung on his neck.

She licked Shin's face. All of her tails were wagging.

"Easy there, little buddy!" Shin said caressing the fox's nose.

"Ning! Ning!"

Shin smiled seeing the cute creature making happy noises.

'Should I try and attach some wings to her?'

His eyes shined as he thought about Syri flying into the sky: Her tail dangling like a wavy flag as she flapped her wings emphasizing her majestic figure.

'Hmm. That would be interesting. Kekekeke ~'

'Now what would fit as her wings?'

'If it's an eagle wing, Does it look good? Hmm. Nope. She is a cute little fella. Eagle wings have that some kind of 'fierce' in their image.'

'Considering her white color… Hmm… Right, it is only logical for her to have angel wings.'

'But how do I make that? Should I use pigments to color them? Nah. That wouldn't look authentic.'

'I might collect some dove's feathers from now on. Now that sounds like a plan. The problem is If I could ever find that kind of bird here.'

'Well, let's just hope so.'

Shin contemplated.

He was at first interested in the fox just because of the weird noise it makes. But then got attached to this little creature as her cuteness brought satisfaction to his heart. She was his companion since his time here living in the forest.

"Want to come along with me?" Shin asked.

"Ning! Ning!"

"Then let's go. I'm leaving this place."

Nope.

Shin didn't understand what the little creature was saying. He was just assuming things.

"Oh, I'm going to change real quick."

His jacket shined and transformed creating a big pocket formed in his tummy area. Now he looked like a mother kangaroo.

One of the things Shin was happy and grateful to have right now is the cloth artifact.

He discovered its functions a week after his reincarnation.

He was feeling so stuffy with the cloth at that time, so when he thought about 'I hope I can change it into a sleeveless' he suddenly got what he wished for. After he found out, he took his time to experiment with if there were other functions.

All of these were what he found out:

Dress Change:

- The cloth can change, fabric, size, design, and overall transform according to what Shin wants. (Limited to looks only — It doesn't copy its functions. For example, if Shin wants his cloth to transform like an astronaut suit, it only copies the design, not the function.

Thermal Conditioner :

- Shin can freely adjust the heat; making it warm or cool. Basically an AC.

Clean :

- As the name implies, it has a cleaning function. Shin doesn't have to wash this cloth since he can just evoke the clean function.

Repair :

- Even if how badly Shin's cloth gets torn, with the use of this 'Repair' function he could fix that up in no time.

[ Cost of Usage: 1 Stam]

Shin wasn't just living in the forest to do primitive stuff but he also experimented on his power and stamina.

Shin could change his clothes 1000 times before he gets exhausted.

So to get an approximate measurement of the cost of using the ability of the artifact, he made a 1 KL square clearing somewhere in the forest.

At his top condition, he could run 1000 KL before he is tired out.

So he roughly guessed the cost for each use of the functions of the artifact which is 1 Stam.

'Stam' is a unit he called for measuring the cost per use of the function of the artifact.

Now the other one, his Op-Op bullshit.

The usage of this power is different from his artifact:

[ Cost of Usage: 1 m-p]

Nope, it isn't magic power.

The unit is called 'mind-power'.

Shin did an experiment about this.

He could create about 1000 times dome with a radius of 100 meters before his head hurts a lot that he could actually fall unconscious.

Shin assumed that this power uses something like 'brain stamina'. Probably, a 'fuel' for the mind to stay awake.

(A/N: The BS is strong in this one)

He also found out one of the limitation of this power. Shin cannot create more than 1 dome.

For some reason, if he creates another dome, the first one would just disappear.

"Come here Syri." Shin signaled Syri to go inside the pocket.

"Ning! Ning!" The fox looked away and snorted. It was against the idea of being put inside.

"What are you, a Pikachu?" Shin asked, he was amused. He thought about that certain mouse pokemon.

"Ning?" Syri tilted her head.

"Kekekeke~" He chuckled.

Shin was really intrigued by this fox. It's not just cute but it also appeared more intelligent compared to what usual foxes he knew from Earth.

Normal foxes were smart since they use wits for their survival. That's why there was an expression saying: 'You're sly as a fox' to denote that someone is smart and witty.

But Syri wasn't just that.

Shin could feel that Syri could understand human language and had the potential to converse with humans.

But it is just his assumption. Since he was the only one who had an interaction with her, the conclusion remains a mystery.

'Should I learn fox language?... Kekekeke.'

He chuckled in his mind as he look at Syri's tilting head.

"If you won't go inside this pocket then, hang on tightly, okay."

"Ning!" The little fox sounded as she nodded her head and slightly released the claws from her paws to cling unto Shin's shoulder.

*Fouuush*

A cloud of dust was the only thing left in the place as Shin disappeared from the crevice he created from the waterfall.

Shin appeared at the tree from a distance.

He turn his head back and marveled at the waterfalls that he terraformed creating a gaping hole close to the top center of it.

He could hear the heavy downpour, the rushing water constantly hitting down the river.

The wind blew, shaking the leaves of the trees around as if saying goodbye to their only human companion.

The sounds of insects buzzing, and a frog's croak was strangely loud in his ear.

Shin remembered the time when he first came and decided to live here. It was a great struggle but nevertheless was it not satisfactory.

Now he knew why some people like to stay in the wilds.

Nature was just beautiful.

"It was nice living here."

Shin's final words before he departed jumping from trees to trees.
