Chapter 10: Chapter 7.5: Not All Fun and Games

Why? Why was she killing these people? Because she was told to? That didn't sound right for some reason. Were they her enemy? No, she didn't know them. Then why?

 

Holding her boot on the throat of a small cat-eared child as a tear rolled down her face the young girl ended him a moment later. Explosions and people crying for mercy could be heard all around her as fire and smoke rained down from the sky. A literal hellscape.

 

[B-Big Brother... H-Help me....] - ???

[Phew! I finally got my first evolution! I even got little arms now!] - Karen

 

The one overjoyed with herself was Karen, currently in a more humanoid looking slime, although it was still only about a foot tall so not much had improved in the last couple month's.

Initially after appearing in this world she'd immediately attempted to leave the lakeside where she had appeared and make her way through the surrounding forest but the attempt had nearly gotten her eaten so afterwards she'd resolved herself to evolve a few time's before trying again.
