Valentina's Side Before Alfonso Woke up
At noon, as the light lit the huge town, many individuals were engaged in individual activities. Two people were seen moving toward an inn that was enclosed by a black fence on a large town's street.
It was Valentina and Christine, with a squad of knights at their backs.
Clomp!
Valentina glanced at the black wall that surrounded the entire inn as the sound of her footsteps halting reverberated.
Valentina glanced at the black wall that surrounded the entire inn as the sound of her footsteps halting reverberated throughout the room.
The barrier did not move or make a way for them, though.
"I came here to talk."
Despite her attempts, the barrier stayed the same.
"I need to talk with Alfonso... I want to apologize!" Valentina said with a determined look, only then did the barrier open and a door emerge for the two.
Valentina and Christine quickly entered the building in silence. When their gaze wandered, they noted how opulent the inn was. Mary's mana and the cast barrier were the only sources of light that made the area more illuminated.
However, there were still candles and medieval lamps that illuminated the entire space, making it appear much more opulent and shinier.
However, as soon as they spotted a woman alone in front of a table holding a cup of tea that was shrouded in shadow, the two came to a stop.
The only spot where mana wasn't exposed to light was where she was. Light flickered around Mary at that precise moment, illuminating her features.
The two were taken aback by how Mary appeared in reaction.
Her eyes were red from crying and puffy. On top of that, she was staring at them with a glare.
The silence that followed made the atmosphere around them heavier as time went on.
While these were happening, the two sat on the unoccupied chairs that are waiting for them.
"What do you mean by apologizing?"
Mary asked, breaking the silence.
"I've come here to apologize... For what I said to Alfonso..."
Valentina responded with her head low. Despite her response, Mary's expression stayed indifferent. Hearing Valentina's words though, Mary thought of answering that they should get out already since the boy they are looking for is still asleep from what happened.
However, she soon shrugged those thoughts away and asked instead. "Why did you leave him behind?"
"What?" Valentina suddenly jolted.
Mary then raised her eyebrows. As if she understood what she is asking, "No... I didn't run away... I..." Valentina quickly explained what happened, only then did Mary nod her head in response and stopped glaring.
"I knew that it was out of your character... However, I just feel frustrated... but I didn't anticipate Kevin to do that..." Mary whispered and soon.
"The boy you are looking for has not awakened yet..." She dolefully continued.
Valentina and Christine's eyebrows sank in worry. "Was the potion's effect that... Big?" the maid asked.
Mary turned silent in response and just looked depressed. Seeing this, the two of them understood what was Alfonso's situation.
"!!!"
When suddenly, Mary abruptly stood up with her wide eyes open.
"I'll just go check him."
With that, she immediately ran to Alfonso's room.
Bam!
With the sound of the door closing, the two followed where Mary went and stood at the front of the door and waited.
But soon a voice could be heard.
|"How are the two? Christine and Valentina?"|
After hearing Alfonso's voice, there was a brief period of silence before a woman's irate voice broke it.
|"Aren't you worried about yourself? I thought... you were going to die!"|
While they listened, Valentina and Christine couldn't help but feel that Alfonso was acting too sacrificially. They were unaware of his extreme selflessness. The two of them felt worse about what they had said to him after reflecting on that.
For them, there was only one thing in doubt. Why didn't they notice this aspect of him? Was he always this way?
They did so because they both understood that a person cannot change so drastically in a matter of days or even a week. Unless... He had a big heart from the beginning, but nobody ever noticed.
While the two were deeply contemplative.
"I'm…Sorry..."
An abrupt apology halted their train of thought.
"I thought you don't c—re Anymore!"
The pair's eyes then widened as they heard Alfonso's hoarse voice that was filled with remorse.
"I'm... Sorry!"
They could hear how he repeated those words as they felt their heart shaken. No rather, they were surprised by Alfonso's sudden burst of emotions.
Now, they were even more curious and enthralled as to who Alfonso is.

It took a while before Alfonso's cry subsided. Only then did the door open.

A graceful boy then slowly emerged from their sight. In response, the two straightened their posture as Alfonso looked at them with an indifferent gaze.
The two noticed that Alfonso looked as if he never cried because of his cold gaze and neat suit. If they didn't hear how he cried and showed emotions earlier, they wouldn't believe that the boy they are looking at right now was capable of doing so.
Shortly, Valentina came forward and then bowed her head to Alfonso.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry for talking rudely to you..."
After she was done, the maid beside her also came forward and bowed her head.
"I also apologize my lord for being a useless maid... And... For being indirectly rude to you."
Contrary to their expectations, Alfonso couldn't help but mutter inwardly.
‹The fuck? Well... I guess it's understandable since I risked my life...›
He soon shook his head after he grasped that their sudden change was because of his actions. Despite that, he can't help but feel uneasy now that they started acting politely toward him. However, while he was thinking of those, he suddenly felt an undeniable warm feeling inside his heart when he saw the two apologize in front of him in regret.
He could already guess where his feeling came from... ‹Alfonso...›
A sense of fulfillment that he achieved something for himself... It was the same feeling in his past life when he successfully tried to improve himself.
Despite feeling emotions inside, Alfonso's face stayed indifferent as he continued to think of what he'll do next.
Soon, Alfonso raised his hand and spoke coldly, "It's okay... I don't mind what happened in the past."
"Anyway, since we've wasted time for three days. We should immediately set and meet your father, Valentina."
He added before continuing in a short demanding voice, "Shall we go then?"
Without wasting any time, they immediately prepared to travel.

Alfonso's POV
As a cool breeze passed through my window, I listened to the horse's clomping footsteps and gazed out the window at the gorgeous green scenery. I swiftly turned my head to place the folded map on my table.
The map that I'm currently looking at is this world's map.
"Concuria"
That is the name of this world and I'm currently gazing at the map of this world right now.
The Nyermisian Empire is where I currently reside. Nobles are dispersed in this region, they have their domains, and they refer to the patriarch as the head of the noble family.
Similar to Alfonso's father—my father. Who is one of the people who was given the privilege of the title, 'lord.'
Valentina's father is similar to mine. As to why I'm looking at the map right now is because... A disaster will soon approach. The start of Act 1.
I've been trying to get stronger not only because I need the power to survive fights or shit that would soon fall to me since I'm a villain. But because I'm running out of time preparing for a war that could potentially destroy my future...
"Elven kingdom..." I mumbled as I locked my eyes on the plain written word 'Elven Kingdom' from the map.
Soon, however, I deeply sighed and turned my head at the window of my carriage.
Mountains and a world that's similar to a fantasy that I have seen in the game followed. Even though I have been living in this world for quite some time, I still can't help but be astonished by how beautiful this world is. Despite that, I was still unsettled by what had occurred in the bestial forest.
I can't help but sigh at how stupid I was at the time. To be honest, if it hadn't been for the system that endowed me with talents and powers, I'd be dead by now.
"I acted too rashly this time..."
I muttered bitterly. In that meantime though, I was able to realize that I got too comfortable the minute I got stronger a little bit. Which made me frown in the process as my perfectionism affected my judgment. Making me loathe myself, however, I quickly cut those thoughts away as I deciphered my next move.
"I should learn more on how to control mana..." I mumbled with a determined look.
After I was able to apply the process of dragon ball (Where Goku gather energy ball around the plants) on my mana. I'm able to determine how hard it is to control mana. The method I showed in my earlier fight was only possible because I practiced them for about four days with the system; the system pointed out the flaws I made.
The control of mana which covers my whole body and an object was one thing but what if this could also be applied inside my body? That's a different story and much harder to do. The system could still point out my mistake in the process, as I try to control and cover my inside with mana and strengthen my bones even.
However, it would still be challenging and require time. especially considering every time I mess up. I would hurt my internal organs and use my points solely for my system to repair those wounds.
However, I'm also grateful for the system because I'm getting stronger at a rapid rate. I'm also trying to strengthen my bones and muscles using mana so that I could handle the abilities and skills that I acquire from the system.
It was not long before I figured that I'll eventually die from my abilities if I don't get stronger.
There's also one thing that I have noticed from my status. And that is... The black mist that's in my abilities
What I have noticed so far is that my physical strength is much more powerful than before and I could feel how my muscles and bones got stronger.
There was also a message that the system showed earlier.
‹Jesus Christ...›
