I made my way to the police station and I entered.

While on the outside, the station was calm, inside was chaos, everybody was hurrying up, preparing for a raid. I stopped an officer and asked her.

"Where is Police Chief Lin Beifong?"

"Who are you? Why are you looking for her?"

"Oh, sorry! I have an appointment with her, I'm Ethan by the way."

"Wait here, I'll go look for her."

The officer left and I looked around for a place to sit down. After a few seconds, I found it. It was a seat near the window. I sit down and start to drink my tea, it was a nice blend of black tea with mint and lemon. The scene looks nostalgic, it somewhat reminded me of my past life when I work in an office, the scene of people working, the noise of the talking over each other all that it was missing was the smell of coffee. I take a sip of my tea and look outside the window, the outside was calm, not many people were on the street, it was still early so there wasn't that much noise. It was fascinating to see the difference in atmosphere. It made me appreciate the little things more, like the taste of my tea, unfortunately, I wouldn't be in this state for long.

"Come with me. The Captain wants to see you."

I take a big gulp of tea and follow her to a conference room. I can see Lin there with her squad of metal benders. I go inside and the officer follows me.

"I bought him here, Captain!"

"Good, now get back to work."

The officer left and I took a seat at the table. I start to calmly drink my tea when I hear Beifong say.

"Ethan come here! Since it was your plan I find it best for you to present it."

I walk up to where she was, in front of me there was a board with the Sato mansion layout. I take the final sip from my tea and I put the thermos inside my bag.

"Ok, since probably nobody knows me here, I would like to start by presenting myself. Hi, I'm Ethan, I'm not a policeman, you could say I'm a consultant, my primary job is engineering. Some time ago I got my hand on a pair of equalist gloves to study them, what I found was surprising, to say the least. For starters, the gloves aren't made with a new technology which I thought at the start, they have the Satomobile engine as a base, although it was modified to a degree.

Now not many people have access to those schematics and even fewer people know how to make those kinds of modifications so the list was small. The top candidate was mister Sato himself since it was his design it would be easy for him to repurpose it. I did a little digging on my own and found out a new weapon that will "revolutionize the way people fight benders" is being created by him.

I started to look for the place where he would build it since you need a lot of equipment to make something like that. He wouldn't build it in one of his factories since if push comes to shove and his factories are searched he would be caught, he wouldn't put it in an unguarded place in the middle of nowhere either since it's something so valuable. In the end, I concluded that the most plausible choice is to build a lab under his workshop at home.

Since I wanted to make sure that was the case I went there and used a device to see if anything is there. I found out that there is a hollow floor but nothing more concrete. Here is where you guys come in, there are going to be two teams: team one is going to go to Cabbage Corp and the other, team two, is going to go to the Sato mansion. Captain Beifong and I have reason to believe that there is foul play involved in this as well, if Cabbage Corp is found having equalist gear in one of its warehouses then its sales are going to take a big hit and this is huge since Future Industries is it's the biggest competitor.

You might be asking why such discretion is needed, well it's best to be safe, the fewer people know the better.

The team that will do the raid on the warehouses will need to be quick, the faster you find evidence the better, after you find the evidence I need you to come to reinforce the other team as fast as possible. We don't know if that place is an Equalists base or just a research lab, the more people we have the better, remember speed is our advantage.

Team two will further split into team A and team B, team A will go to take mister Sato and team B will search for the weapon. I'll be team B since I'll disassemble the weapons when the place is secure.

Since we don't want the Equalists to have time to rescue him we will need to take him out of the building under the pretenses that he is target by the Equalists and the police are taking him in to protect him, if he isn't cooperative try to stall him until you see the signal flare from team B that the lab was found. Then handcuffed him and hurry back to the police station.

If everything works up as planned we will have him here by noon. Do you have any questions?"

They all looked at each other but didn't say anything.

"Good, now I'll let Captain Beifong make the teams."
