Chapter 11: Chapter 11 – Breaking and entering

Shaman gets up from the floor and gets changed into more of a stealthy attire.

She changes into Black stockings with black shorts. She finds a black shirt and puts on her dark blue jacket as she does not have anything darker.

'These clothes are quite similar to what the clothes of my old world look like. Kinda glad since I don't think I could stand wearing clothes from the 1700s.' After getting changed she looks in the bathroom mirror that she forgot she had.

'My white hair really does not help with this whole aesthetic of blending in with the darkness.' Shaman heaved a sigh as her white hair really stands out but could do nothing about it.

However an idea sprung in her mind and she turned to Wolfy

"Wolfy, if you can understand me, are you able to cover yourself in Shadows like a cloak?" Shaman tried talking with Wolfy but all he did was tilt his head.

After this she tried playing Charades with Wolfy. After trying for a few minutes Wolfy finally managed to understand and covered himself in Shadow, blending in with the darkness making it seem like something is there but not at the same time. A ding could be heard from the system

"It's all coming together." Shaman was ecstatic but she had a mission to do and controlled her excitement but failed when she looked at the wagging tail Wolfy.

"OOHH you are just the best son, I don't know what I will do without you." Shaman vigorously pat Wolfy and hugged him. Wolfy licked Shaman's face in return and was super happy as well.

Snapping back to reality Shaman coughed as she was thankful no one saw her like that.

"Ok Wolfy we are heading out now, we have to find some sick adults." Wolfy jumps on her head, Shaman quickly got some food and water just in case and heads out of her apartment.

Shaman stops at the edge of the balcony and has a bright idea.

"Why don't I try to do some parkour, I wanted to do all the cool roof jumping I saw online. Wolfy hold on because we going to jump." Wolfy understood her intentions and went down to her shoulders and held on to her Jacket.

Shaman gets on the railing and jumps to the roof of a building.

'Well that was easy and it felt amazing. Wolfy seems like he can take it as long as I don't roll or do anything extreme. I may have to hold him to do sick tricks.' Shaman continued to the south which was towards the slum. Shaman figured if she headed to the border of the slums it would be the ideal area for them to attack as no one cares for the lower class.

After traveling via rooftop for 30 mins she finally reaches the slums border.

Shaman wanders around slowly going to common spots where abduction takes place via rooftops.

30 minutes later

Shaman's ears pick up the sound of struggling and instantly head for that direction but when she arrived she could see 2 people having a passionate moment through their window.

Shaman slowly turned around and left as her face had turned bright red and due to her wild imagination she also had some spicy thoughts. But during her little fantasy a scream could be heard that was quickly interrupted.

Due to Shaman's great hearing she locked on that direction and quickly headed towards it.

Luckily upon arriving in the general area she could see 2 men carrying a woman and she knew she had found her targets.

Shaman pursues them, fighting the urge to save the women, after tailing them for 10 mines they arrive at a factory. Shaman enters through a roof window and lands on the bars above the 2 men.

'I would love to break in and enter because that sounds cooler but this is a stealth mission.'

Shaman observes the 2 men leave, leaving the women alone and having the moonlight shine brightly down on her. After 5 minutes footsteps could be heard as a man in a hood comes out and picks up the women.

Shaman quietly follows the man trying her best not to get caught. The man leads her to a staircase that suddenly opens which leads to an underground base. Shaman knew that she had to use a shadow cloak.

After activating the shadow cloak Wolfy did as well and she dashed down the stairs quickly while avoiding the man.

The man looked around thinking as he felt a presence or saw something move but was unable to see anything, thinking it was just the pressure and was starting to get paranoid he quickly entered the underground cavern shutting behind him.

After Shaman entered she looked around for a room she could hide in so she could reserve her MP points. After traveling down the cavern she found a room that seemed to be used for food. Shaman quickly enters and undid her cloak, due to her improved agility increasing her speed she was able to only use a third of her MP.

After letting her MP restore close to full she went to head out. But before she could leave she heard people talking.

Shaman stands back to get ready to activate the shadow cloak and listens in on the guards.

"That stupid bitch still won't listen to us no matter how much we hit or yell at her, its a shame we can't use her body as boss said we are not allowed to cross that line."

"It is a shame but I honestly don't see the point in keeping her alive, just dump her with the rest of the bodies."

"You have a point but clearly the boss has a plan for her so unless she complies she is useless and we will have to do the sacrifice anyway."

'Huh a sacrifice? are they gathering young girls to summon something.'

"We could go back down the hall to have one last shot since she will be killed tomorrow, hopefully we can use her fox fur for something."

"No point heading back, let's just head to bed." then the men's voices were now too far away for Shaman to hear.

Shaman's eyes widen in shock as it was another Fox girl like her. Something welled up inside like an uncontrollable force telling her to save her. Shaman was all for this and waited for a few minutes before heading out.

'Judging from that conversation the girl that was taken is most likely dead.' Shaman punched the wall in anger cracking it, her passive regeneration healed the small wound she caused herself from the punch.

'I must save that Fox girl and get out of here, even if I can't stop the Sacrifice I must save her while I'm here.'

Although she thinks the sacrifice will go on, one key component to the ritual was to have the blood of a young fox as the unique properties of fox blood allows the ancient ritual to activate as the creator used the blood of a Fox and was the key ingredient for it. As for why it was specifically Fox blood, that was unknown.

However it is hard to come by Fox girls as most stay in the fox realm and if there is one they are usually always strong so it was rare to find a weak fox girl in a normal city to take advantage of.

Only the leader of the cult knew this and is why he put more importance on the imprisoned fox girl.

She was heading down the hallway trying to find the room that the young fox girl was in so she could break her out.

After travelling through the hallway with a few close calls and sparsely using her shadow cloak her ears picked a young girl crying. Thinking that was her she instantly made her way to the room.

As soon as she approached the room she stopped crying which made her suspicious but still proceeded but with caution.

'This must be her cell. Although she stopped crying she might have been able to sense that I was here.' Shaman approached the door and looked through the small window to see a badly beaten girl that looked 18-19 curled in the corner of the room.

Shaman's heart ached upon seeing this and to her surprise the door was unlocked, she pushed it open and quietly entered.

The girl looked up to see a beautiful white twin tail fox girl sneak in, hope filled her eyes as tears started to form as she might be able to finally leave.
