Her whole body trembled.

There was a big difference between closing one’s eyes and one’s eyes being covered. All of her nerves were so sensitive that even her breathing sounded too loud for her own ears.

The dryness of her parched lips and saliva going down her throat as she swallowed could be felt keenly enough to be called excessive.

Lily didn’t even know how much time had passed.

When all her senses were obscured, her sense of time disappeared. She could notice her own body in the empty room.

It was an unfamiliar experience.

Lily hugged herself, wrinkling her negligee. She felt cold, her hands clammy, and she really wanted to remove her blindfold.

What if he comes in just as I take it off?

She didn’t want to imagine what might happen.

In the end, Lily only pressed her thin fingers over the black cloth.

The moment she lowered her hand, a clicking sound was heard from the entrance of the room.

“Who’s there… Ah!”

The dread took over her mind and she reflexively stepped backward, staggering. Her arms floundered as she tilted dangerously.

Fortunately, Lily didn’t fall to the ground as a rock-hard arm supported her waist and pulled her in.

Her head barely reached the other person’s shoulders, which made it obvious that they were a tall, broad man.

The sensation of cold air was replaced by the intense warmth of body temperature. His presence was so strong that it felt as if they were the only two people in the world, his body so solid that it gave the illusion of a wall.

Lily immediately pushed him away but to no avail.

“L-Let me go! If you don’t let go, I’ll call someone!”

“I see. Who are you going to call?”

Lily was flabbergasted at the deep voice tickling her eardrums. It was one she knew, sweet and sensual.

“Duke…? Since when have you been here? I thought I was alone all this time…”

Her shoulders relaxed. The man was not a stranger.

The memory of him at the mountain, the bright crimson eyes and the back disappearing into the darkness, flashed through her mind.

Right now, he smelled of… blood.

He must never die.

At least, he had to stay alive until either she had a baby or her brothers were fully capable of running the family business.

Lily’s hand flitted all over his body. “Are you hurt anywhere? I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.”

“Did you wait for me?”

She knew the entire exchange sounded weird, but somehow it made her feel better.

“I’ve waited a lot. They said the monster is poisonous. Even if a small amount of poison gets on you, you’ll… You need to hurry up and rest.” Her hands continued their movements across his forearms, chest, and neck.

Everywhere Lily touched, it felt like he was still wearing his armor for how firm his body was. It was almost as if she was touching a statue carved from marble, not a person.

Her fingertips grazed his face. She froze.

A man who doesn’t want his face to be seen. Can I touch his face?

But there was no response from him and so she did as she pleased. Lily slowly placed her hands on his cheeks. They were smooth and supple. It didn’t feel like his skin was marred with scars.

Regardless, it didn’t matter if his face was burned or scarred. She was used to it.

Her fingertips stroked his sharp jaw and straight nose. His features were so defined that she almost believed that he was indeed a sculpture.

He had long eyelashes too. When Lily’s hand grazed them, his eyes blinked rapidly.

Her fingertips slowly descended to his lips. They were soft and warm.

He sighed deeply and squeezed her wrist. “I don’t think I’m the one you should worry about Lily.”  He tightened his grip and pulled her further into him, their bodies pressed firmly together.

Lily fidgeted in surprise at what she felt against her navel

Inside his pants was obviously a…

She flushed. “What the hell is this… nonsense,” she muttered to herself.

What was she even supposed to feel? She didn’t know it could be so… big.

His heat could be felt even through the barrier of their clothes. Lily squirmed some more, completely unaware of how her movements were torturing her husband.

He growled. “You can stop now. I’ll give you a reward you’ve been patiently waiting for.”

Lily’s eyes widened, her lower abdomen tightening at the sound of his breathy voice. She didn’t realize how obscene those sweet whispers actually were.

Didn’t he use his finger on me after his sweet compliments the last time?

Engraved on her body, the sensations from that night came to mind. The dizzying, white-hot pleasure…

Lily struggled to deny her desire and push his hard chest away. “I don’t know what the reward is, but anything is fine.”

“You already know what it is, though. It even feels like you’re looking forward to it.”

It seemed that he could feel her reaction to his touch through the numerous points of contact between their bodies.

He squeezed her leg, and Lily felt even more conscious of the burning heat between them.

What would it feel like to have his member inside me instead of his finger?

She felt her throat dry. The question wouldn’t let her out of its grasp even if she thought it was disgusting. Her heart beat so quickly that she could feel her skull pound.

He chuckled. Something touched her lower lip. Maybe it was his fingers.

Chills ran down her spine.
