“Then do it. I’m a Duke’s daughter. Just a nice, cute, perfect lady who is ready to take over her family business from her mother in the mansion.”
Gerald smirked. “What can a fancy lady like you do? I should do it, don’t you think?” He said pampering me with words but slightly dissing me at the same time.
Truth to be told, it’ll be easier for Gerald to do it. I was confident in puzzles and putting things together, but I wasn’t confident in acting in it myself. It’s better for me to do what I’m good at.
“Ok.”
Gerald nodded. I bumped my glass into Gerald’s. There was a clear sound of the wine glasses.
“Oh, it’s sweet.”
Today’s meeting was successful in its own way. I was able to find out that there was something to Philia’s death, as I had guessed.
The aide, who came to pick up the Crown Prince, was embarrassed and carried him back.
“Crown Prince, how much did you drink?”
“Oh, my. I think I drank the most. Uh, I’m dizzy. The whole world is spinning. Whoa.” I staggered, pretending to hold my head. The aide stared at me before he carried the Crown Prince out of the room.
Gerald smiled.
“But Gerald? How do you really know I’m here?”
“Because of Alexid.”
Of course. I knew it.
“Well, I live with a spy,” I spoke.
Alexid was really eager. Do you have that much confidence in Gerald?
I was thinking of Alexid, when Gerald asked, “Did you hate it when I came?”
I immediately turned my head towards him. At that moment the wind blew. The wind that brushed both of us was as sweet as wine. He swept down her fallen hair.
“I wouldn’t have given you a glass of wine. You would have hated it.”
I stood up and walked with Gerald behind me. “Come on, Gerald. I’m cold.”
His footsteps were getting closer. Gerald’s coat hung over my shoulder. Then he hugged me from the back
“Lulu.”
I didn’t say anything but listened to his voice pronouncing the sound of my name. There were more things I thought I could do but ended up not doing it.
We walked in silence. But it seemed like we had more conversation than ever. It was a strange night.

I followed my Mom around the dressing room all day.
All I had to do for today was to sign a contract directly with the silk sample I chose. Veronica also joined, but when she left the dressing room, she was exhausted and had no energy to talk.
“What do you want to eat? Since you worked hard, let’s eat something delicious. Veronica?”
