Come to think of it, there weren’t one or two guys who wanted to get rid of Everia.
‘Did Catherine’s fish send you?’
It was convincing.
Some of them cut off the timber trade because they didn’t want to see Everia, an others might send assassins to get rid of me.
‘I think it’s Luke.’
Sending an assassin would not be difficult for the head of the information guild that dominates the back world.
I rose slowly to that conclusion.
I didn’t feel particularly threatened.
‘The Wizard of the Blue Flames is my pet dog. What am I worried about? All I have to do is make a wish to save my life.’
I slipped out of the bed and headed towards the drawing room with my feet.
Harry was already in the drawing room, growling fiercely against someone.
The problem was that Harry’s flustered opponent’s face was very familiar.
‘……it’s Emma?’
“Hey, I’ll give you this. So be quiet.”
Emma shook and held the chicken to Harry.
She know that my room had a dog, so she must have prepared it beforehand.
Harry stopped growling and looked at the chicken.
‘If Harry was a real dog, that would be a pretty effective diversion.’
Sadly, however, he was a demon pretending to be an individual.
‘Of course, he will not fall for the chicken…’
After a moment, Harry took and ate the chicken.
“Are you just falling for the chicken?”
I opened my mouth in dismay.
[Harry, are you giving in because of a chicken?]
[I haven’t eaten since you called me, who would get hungry at this point?]
[And you eat chicken, at this point?]
[Who wants to work harder?]
[I didn’t know that the demon ate three meals a day,]
[Good thing you know now. You should take notes.]
Harry was absorbed in eating chicken instead of listening to my chatter.
I was about to get hungry, watching him eat the meat so deliciously.
“That’s a relief. You eat well.”
While Harry and I were squabbling, Emma breathed a sigh of relief and murmured softly,
Soon Emma began to move as if she was sure Harry wouldn’t make a fuss.
But it wasn’t my room that she was headed for.
Emma walked toward the fireplace on the other side of the drawing room. After watching the blazing fire for a moment, she bit her lips and lowered herself with a grim face.
I looked at the lamp in Emma’s hand and found out what she was trying to do.
‘Are you taking the fire?’
When she carefully moved the fire in the fireplace to the candle of the lamp, I thought I was right.
‘Harry made a big fuss and I was nervous for nothing.’
The tension was lifted in an instant. I went towards to Emma with a big smile.
