Chapter 6: Chapter 6

'Waking up in a nice soft king-size bed in the morning, feels great. Not to mention the soft skin of my new body only makes it seem softer.'

'The fact that there's another soft object wrapped around me wouldn't be that much of a problem, except for the fact that we are both completely naked.'

'A few days ago I was a healthy 29 year old man. How could i not find this situation stimulating? I feel weird not having a third leg standing right now, but I feel a rightness about myself I've never had before.'

'While I know what's down there now, it hadn't really hit me yet until now. It feels amazing actually. Although, with Ari here, it's feeling a bit warm and fuzzy, usually I just feel a rightness.'

'The new hormones are getting to me I guess. This body is that of a twelve year old going through puberty.'

'I think my mind is adjusting itself to fit the body. It's like I had two body's with separate mentalities and now both the old me and new me are trying to mix together.'

'I think the gods messed with me a little. It's scary how comfortable I feel. If anything I feel more comfortable now than I did before.'

'I dont know how I'll react after my chest area gets bigger. Although I don't know if it will actually develop in certain areas, going by my current progress.' I look at my chest. 'Flat.'

'I think it's time to get up. We did sleep in a while.' The sun is already past the point of shining in the windows.

"Ari, I think it's time to get up." I say in a soft voice while crawling out from under the covers.

"Okay." She said sleepily.

I pulled two over sized shirts out of my inventory, that I got after searching the wagon where I found Ari, and put one on. I gave the other to Ari and she put it on as well.

"Let's go call for breakfast, after that we need to go shopping. I need more than one set of clothes that actually fit me. And you need cute clothes, period." I said looking at Ari aprasingly.

Ari looks at me like I'm speaking a different language. I just ignore her look and walk into the seating room.

The food trays were already by the door on a small heated rack. I started walking towards the rack to grab a tray but Ari stopped me by pulling on my shirt.

"Master, let me. "

And so I yielded and walked over to the couch and sat down, only to wind up sitting on my tail. I quietly hold back a scream from the pain. Sitting on your tail is really, really painful.

After getting over the pain and eating breakfast with Ari, I dress in my clothes from the day before.

"Ari, wait here a moment. I'll be right back." I say as I head down stairs.

I see the cat lady standing at the front desk as I come down the stairs and proceed to ask. "Miss, do you happen to have a spare skirt or pants my companion could borrow for the day? We will return them I promise."

"Of course my queen, one moment and I will bring them to your room"

"Thanks." And I turn around and walk back up the stairs.

And so after Ari was ready in her skirt, we walked out towards the closest shops.

As we reach the shopping district, we noticed all the windows filled with goods to be sold, and all the people rushing from one store to another. The biggest thing I noticed was the lack of beast-kin.

'This is going to be a long day.'

As we enter the first clothing store that I see, we are greeted cheerfully by a store clerk.

"Welcome to Taylor's fine fabrics, how may I help you?" She said with a smile.

"Huh? Your not going to kick us out?" I ask hesitantly.

"Do you not have any money?" She asks with a frown.

"No, we have money."

"Then you can stay."

"But what about our race?"

"I personally don't care. Now let's get started, time is money, and I like money." She said.

"Well ok then. We need a couple sets of clothes for the both of us." I say while posting to Ari and myself.

"I think we have kid sizes towards the back. Please follow me."

As we arrive, I see several manaquin with dresses on them and several hanging racks filled with all kinds of clothes.

"Ok let's get your sizes and we can go from there." Said the store lady.

"Ari first."

"I can do you both at the same time don't worry. Now get in the booth and strip." She said.

After that embarrassing experience, we had our sizes from top to bottom. Ari's and my sizes were only a little different, so anything I bought could be worn by both of us.

And so,  me and Ari went through the racks of clothes picking out outfits. Ari had three sets, a light orange one piece knee length dress, and two sets of shirts and skirts one white and the other orange, at my recommendation.

I picked roughly the same with my knee length dress being a lighter pink with white trim, and skirts being white and pink. I also found a full length white dress with pink trim that I also bought.

We also bought walking shoes and a pair of dress shoes to match for the both of us.

The store lady brought us four pairs of panties and bras a piece. Mine were two white and two pink, and Ari's were two white and two orange. She said that they needed to match our dresses when worn or people would be able to see them.

After our long visit inside the clothing store we left being 400 gold coins poorer. Walking outside the sun was starting to set, and so I decided we should head to our last visit for the day.

As we walked into the adventurers guild building there were some funny looks shot our way.

We walked up to a receptionist and asked. "Can I register as an adventurer?"

"You must be fifteen years of age or older to register." She said looking down at me.

"May I speak with the guild master then?" Certainly, one moment.

The receptionist turned around and walked towards the back and up a staircase. After about a minute she walked back and asked us to follow her up the stairs.

She knocked on the door, after hearing a response opened it up and we walked inside.

Towards one wall was a nice leather couch and on the other was a tall backed chair. There was a desk piled high with papers in another corner.

After seating, the guild master asked us. "Why does a little girl such as you want to be an adventurer?"

"Why does anyone want to be an adventurer?" I answered him with my own question.

"Well most don't have any other options. You on the other hand are still young and can possibly find work elsewhere as an apprentice." He said.

"Your probably right about that, but I can't get stronger working in the city, and farming just isn't going to cut it."

"Ah I see, well I'm sorry to say that guild rules are there for a reason and we can't break them for every person that walks in the door." He said while looking at me apologetically.

"Now guild master I'm sure you can over look the small issue of my age now can't you?" I asked while slowly piling gold coins on the table one at a time.

The guild master started looking greedy after I hit thirty and so I stopped.

"Well I don't know. I can wave the age requirement, but you will still have to pass the entrance test. It's a fight. If you don't last long enough, or cause enough damage, you fail. Your opponent will be a guild approved fighter." He said while collecting the gold coins.

"I can handle that. You worry about your fighter losing to a little girl." I said.

"Now girl you may think your strong but your not so don't go acting like it." He said while giving me a serious look..

"Want to bet on it?" I asked him with a playful smile.

"Sure, let's say if you win I'll give all this back to you and double it, but if you lose, you don't become an adventurer, and I keep this here." He said while holding the gold coins in a sack.

"That sounds like an interesting proposition. You sir are on. I'll win." 

"Ok, be here bright and early in the morning and we will test you." Said the guild master with an evil smile on his face.

"You can count on it." I said as I got up and walked towards the door.

"Ari let's go back to the inn." I said while walking through the lobby towards the door.

"Ok master."

As we returned to the inn Ari returned the skirt we borrowed and we walked back up to our room.

After eating and taking a bath, we crawled into bed and just like last night Ari was wrapped around me while neither of us were wearing any clothes. We forgot to buy night clothes.

And so just like last night Ari was almost instantly asleep and me not far behind.
