Chapter 12: CH 11

TN: Before the chapter starts, I need to explain something. Sorry about the little mishap on Novel Updates . All of those chapters before this are NOT part of chapter 1, they are their own individual chapters. However, since I had formatted them incorrectly (with each chapter having a “1-” in front of them to show that they were part of the first arc), Novel Updates thought that I had meant for all of those chapters to be all sections of chapter one… Whoopsie. TN: Hello there! I am soooo sorry I didn’t post this chapter earlier, I’ve been suuuper busy today! I’m actually currently a senior in high school, so I’ve been translating this novel in my spare time. I didn’t have very much time yesterday or today to translate it, so I apologize for how late this chapter is! Now, to explain some things.

*So this isn’t exactly meant to explain the exact sentence, but more of the whole few paragraphs right there. As they explained, Raffine’s father would only allow her to marry out of aristocracy if she chose to marry a hero who had defeated the Demon King. The sentence “One who does not know the bones of his horse” is referring to those nobles who wish to marry her, specifically ones who do not know much about the how the kingdom works, which can be reasoned that if they don’t even know that much, then they also won’t be able to run the kingdom and therefore not be a fitting groom for Raffine.

**So I don’t know if you picked up on this from the previous chapters, and since Jirei says it in a roundabout way, I decided to explain this. From what I understand, during Jirei’s “training period” he constantly wore a mask and rarely took it off. I honestly don’t know why as of yet, but I think that he’ll reveal the answer later in the story.
