“In other words, I’m already dead? Liu Hai and the others are dead too?”

“Almost.” Su Qingxing really admired Old Man Chen’s ability to accept it. If another person had heard such an outrageous thing, they might have been scared to the point of dizziness.

The tour bus continued on its way, and after Old Mr. Chen got tired of standing in the aisle, he found an empty seat next to the paper-doll in the second row and sat down to rest.

“Aren’t these paper-dolls scary?” Looking at Old Mr. Chen, who was sitting next to the paper-cut figurines in deep thought, Su Qingxing asked with some curiosity.

“Hahaha.” Old Mr. Chen laughed a few times, “As people get old, they get more and more superstitious, so I was indeed a bit scared at first. But now that I’ve become a ghost myself, how can I still be afraid of ghosts!”

“Old sir is worthy of being a man who walked out of the battlefield.”

“So don’t underestimate me, an old man.” Old Mr. Chen seemed to be more energetic than before, “A ghost that came back from the battlefield is a particularly fierce one!”

“But don’t let Liu Hai and the others know about this for now.” Su Qingxing made a shushing gesture, “Otherwise this job will become very troublesome.”

Su Qingxing was wearing a white shirt inside a school uniform suit at the moment, looking clean and fresh. Coupled with his already outstanding looks and the shushing gesture, he looked like the kind of little kid that old people like the best. As a result Elder Chen couldn’t help but look at him with the same kind eyes he had while looking at his grandson.

However ……

“Liu Hai?” Old man Chen glanced towards the rear window, “Didn’t they get off already? I don’t think we’ll be able to see them, will we?”

“In their own words, this is the world of endless horror.” Su Qingxing guided Old Man Chen to look directly in front of the bus.

The road was as bumpy as ever as the tour bus made its way along it.

Su Qingxing and Mr Chen were at the front of the bus and through the windscreen in front of them, they could see the mountain road at night and the headlights that illuminated it.

Then, just a short distance ahead of the bus, was a familiar looking station ……

Next to the stop, under the street lights, were three other very familiar looking figures desperately waving at the bus!

“It’s Liu Hai and the others who got off the bus earlier.” Old Mr. Chen also got up on his cane, “How evil, this bus has been driving forward for so long, but it has returned to this station?”

Standing inside the carriage, Su Qingxing could even hear Liu Hai’s voice getting closer and closer to them.

“Stop the bus! Stop the bus!”

“Can you give us a lift to a nearby town?”

“Stop the bus!”

“Hee hee hee hee ……” Sitting in the driver’s seat of the bus was a much larger looking paper-doll who was now looking at Liu Hai and the others on the side of the road, while letting out a terrible laugh unique to paper-dolls .

“Squeak~~~~”

The paper-doll’s feet couldn’t even touch the brakes, but as the tour bus passed that station, the brakes were heavily stepped on by an invisible force, and Su Qingxing and Old Man Chen immediately steadied themselves amidst the inertia.

Seeing that the door of the bus was about to open, Su Qingxing suddenly asked Old Mr. Chen a question, “Old man, how good are your acting skills?”

“Acting skills?” Chen Xiongbing was a little puzzled at first, but soon gave a smile of recognition and gave himself a thumbs up, “I’m the ‘movie star’ who managed to star in Romeo after defeating the entire community of old men in the community theater!”

The door creaked open and Su Qingxing gave Mr. Chen a look before changing his expression to one of panic, holding Mr. Chen’s body and stepping off the bus as quickly as possible.

When Su Qingxing’s feet hit the ground, he began to gesture randomly to the dumbfounded Liu Hai and the others.

“How…… how is this possible……” Liu Hai originally thought that the bus coming from afar would save them from this wilderness, but he never expected to see the mute and the old man, whom they had given up on, stepping out of the bus.

And behind Su Qingxing and the others, the paper-doll on the driver’s seat with an exaggerated smiley face painted on it, as well as the paper doll sitting on the window seat, both waved at Liu Hai and the others in a very stiff manner.

It was not clear if they were saying goodbye.

Or they were just glad to meet again.

So Chen Fangfang and Xu Yun, who were standing behind Liu Hai, could not help but scream once again.

“Ouch!” With Su Qingxing’s assistance, Chen Lao did not forget to perform his acting skills and stumbled with a slightly pompous expression, “You youngsters didn’t even wait for us, we thought we were dead!”

“……” Liu Hai looked at Su Qingxing and Old Mr. Chen, an old man and a dumb young man, with a very complicated expression, and finally said in a somewhat dry voice, “Forget it, it’s a good thing to be alive, let’s find a way to escape from here together. “

Su Qingxing was in an ordinary-looking station with two canopies for waiting for the bus and two rows of benches for people to rest on. Although the wind was blowing in all directions, at least they had a shelter from the wind and rain.

There were street lights next to the station, which always gave an indescribable sense of security in such a horrible world.

There was also a vending machine underneath the street light with small items such as instant noodles and drinks. So if you had money with you, it won’t be too difficult to survive the night here.

“Ah …… huh?” After helping old Mr. Chen sit down on the bench, Su Qingxing gestured towards the mountain road, as if asking Liu Hai why they didn’t walk forward to find a way out and why they were still wasting time at this station after such a long time.

“Walk forward?” Chen Fangfang seemed to read Su Qingxing’s meaning and said with a somewhat downcast expression, “We tried, but no matter how much we walked, we would end up back at this station. Whether it’s the surrounding scenery or the rubbish left at the station before, it’s exactly the same as when we left.”

It was like being trapped in a circle.

No matter how you move, you’ll come back to the original starting point.

After listening to Chen Fangfang’s explanation, Su Qingxing thought of that bus from before. That bus was in the same situation as Chen Fangfang and the others, obviously driving forward for a long time, but it would still stop by the exact same station.

Whether it was the tour bus, the station, or them, they all seemed to be trapped in the same circle.

Su Qingxing was the guide to the underworld, but not the builder of these horrible worlds.

If Su Qingxing wanted to leave these horror worlds, he would have to find a breakthrough in the world, just like Liu Hai and the other trialists. Therefore, before the Trialists killed each other, Su Qingxing and them had the same purpose for the time being; it could even be regarded as a cooperative relationship.

“The more tired I am, the less I can think of ideas.” Everyone sat down on the bench, and Liu Hai, as a senior, seemed to subconsciously regard himself as the leader of this group, “Why don’t we just take a good rest here, and then think of a way to escape after we have recovered our energy?”

“What if there’s sudden danger?” Chen Fangfang was also a senior who had experienced the horror world twice, so she didn’t dare to relax because of the current calm situation.

“Then we’ll just find someone to keep watch.” Liu Hai took out something from his pocket, it looked like the kind of utility knife used by students in their labor skills class, and while playing with it, he looked in the direction of Old Man Chen, “The first person to keep watch will be……”

In front of Liu Hai, Old Mr. Chen who was sitting on a bench was still trembling.

That very unreliable appearance made Liu Hai somewhat afraid to give such an important task as a night watcher to Old Mr. Chen.

“Ah, ah!” Su Qingxing took the initiative to stand up from the bench and even raised his hand like a well-behaved student, “Ah, ah……”

“You want to keep watch?” Liu Hai frowned, “You can’t even speak, how would you warn us if we are in danger?”

“Ah, ahhhhh!” Su Qingxing immediately made a pushing and tugging motion, indicating that he could definitely wake everyone up in time.

“That’s fine.” Liu Hai said, looking at the bench where only Su Qingxing and Old Mr. Chen were sitting. He got up and gestured, “Old man, you and the girls will sit together. Mute, if you want to keep watch, then you can stand if you want to, that way it won’t be easy to fall asleep.”

After driving Old Mr. Chen to another bench and letting Su Qingxing stand on guard, Liu Hai took over the whole bench by himself and stretched out before lying down comfortably.

But even so, Liu Hai was still holding the utility knife in his hand, not ready to let go of it in any way.

“Even though I am the strongest here, only when I am fully refreshed can I lead you guys to escape.” Liu Hai yawned, obviously already feeling sleepy.

Su Qingxing nodded to Old Man Chen, gesturing at him to get a good rest, while he himself stood on the other side illuminated by the street light, wanting to see what kind of environment was around him.

The place where the station was located could only be described as “the middle of nowhere”, with no stars or moon in the night sky.

But at this moment, Su Qingxing suddenly saw a white object in the grass not far away, shrinking into a ball and shaking from time to time……

What was that??

Su Qingxing rubbed his eyes to make sure that the little thing didn’t look like a ghost or a paper-doll. After taking a good look at the station which was still calm for the time being, he took a few more steps and picked up the white dumpling from the grass.

It looked like a little white dog, and a very familiar one at that.

Su Qingxing remembered after thinking for a while that Zhu Sha had sent many short videos of little white dogs to his phone earlier, and that little white dog chasing his tail in circles was almost identical to the one in his arms!

Was it a coincidence?

The little white dog in Su Qingxing’s arms had a pair of beautiful eyes, and when it stared at Su Qingxing, it was particularly focused. It was almost as if it was looking at its whole world, which made Su Qingxing, who was coming into contact with this kind of small animal for the first time, a little flattered.

Su Qingxing didn’t know much about dogs, so he couldn’t tell what breed this little white dog was. He only felt that it looked cute and had a very nice fluffy feel to it.

“Where did you come from?” Su Qingxing did not feel any strange power from the little white dog’s body, it was as if the other party was not supposed to appear in this horror world at all.

Su Qingxing stretched out his finger and scratched the little white dog’s chin, then he found a small silver pendant hanging around the dog’s neck with the word “Si” written on it.

“Si? Is your name Sisi? That’s cute.” In order not to be heard by the people resting at the nearby station, Su Qingxing lowered his voice. almost whispering into the little white dog’s ear.

Perhaps because it felt Su Qingxing’s warm breath, the little white dog just trembled in Su Qingxing’s arms and then got a little closer to him, rubbing his little head against Su Qingxing’s hand very affectionately, with an adorable look of trying to please him.

“Haha, it tickles so much.” The more Su Qingxing looked at the little white dog, the cuter he became, and knowing that his owner won’t be here, he simply hugged the little white dog and walked in the direction of the station, “Si Si, it’s dangerous here, so you stay by my side first, okay? I’ll find a suitable owner for you after we leave this place.”

“Aawoo!” The little white dog’s voice didn’t sound like an ordinary dog, but Su Qingxing didn’t care too much about it, he just let Si Si keep rubbing himself into his arms, treating him as a normal small animal.

But…… he was too affectionate, wasn’t it? It was just a promise to take care of him for a while, was he really that happy?

Although Su Qingxing thought so, he did not hate the closeness from the little one.

When Su Qingxing returned to the station with Si Si in his arms, he found Xu Yun, who was draped in his school uniform jacket, standing there with a bottle of drink.

“Su Qingxing.” Xu Yun greeted Su Qingxing with a smile after seeing him, her mood seemed to be much more relaxed than before, “Thanks for your help in the car.”

Xu Yun was just about to pass the drink in her hand to Su Qingxing when she saw this pretty boy who couldn’t speak holding a white puppy in his arms.

“Ah, what a cute puppy!” Xu Yun’s eyes lit up at the sight of Si Si, “Although the pedigree doesn’t look very pure, those eyes are so pretty.”

With that, Xu Yun was ready to extend her hand to pat Si Si’s little head.

“Aowoo!” Seeing the woman in front of her reaching out to her, Si Si showed a completely different attitude than when he faced Su Qing Xing. Not only did he growl super fiercely, he also twisted his little head and leaned against Su Qing Xing’s shoulder.

Su Qingxing was only wearing a shirt at this moment, and the collar of the shirt was slightly open, so Si Si was leaning right at Su Qingxing’s collarbone.

Pressed against that spot of whiteness, Si Si even stuck out his little tongue……

“Ah!” Su Qingxing almost couldn’t hold in his words due to the tickling sensation, but in the end he could only smile helplessly and pat Si Si’s little head before changing to a different way of embracing him.

In the end Su Qingxing still did not accept the bottle of drink that Xu Yun handed over.

Xu Yun was left out of both Si Si’s and Su Qing Xing’s life, and seemed to feel a bit bored, so she took her drink and went back to rest.

The vigil continued, but it was not too boring, as Su Qingxing was accompanied by Si Si.

Just as Su Qingxing was massaging Si Si’s little paws and fleshy pads, he saw a very familiar tour bus coming in the direction of the station.

As the bus was lit up with lights, Su Qingxing could easily recognise a paper-doll sitting in the driver’s seat, his face still sporting an exaggerated smile painted by colorful watercolors.

“Squeak~~”

Once again, the bus braked to a halt in front of the station.
