Finally, the Tanabata campaign event was about to take place.
It would last for two days, Saturday and Sunday.
The work would be extremely difficult, as we had to manage events in other prefectures at the same time. On top of that, we also needed to coordinate with the live video of the V-tubers.
Then, on Sunday, July 5th.
At 7:30 in the evening.
Despite some minor issues, the campaign was successfully completed and all we had to do was to finish the report.
While we were working in the sales department at the head office, Konno-san, the leader of another team who helped us, called out to us.
“Hey! Otsukuresan!”
“Thank you for your hard work. It was thanks to Konno-san and the others who helped me.”
“Don’t be modest. Sasamiya is the one who pulled off such a large scale job. That’s awesome!”
After patting me on the back with a big smile, Konno-san called out to everyone.
“Yosh! Let’s all have a celebration after this! Let’s have the whole Sasamiya team show us what they’re made of! Aaaaah!”
The dozen or so employees shouted in response.
They were usually just doing their work quietly, but why did they get overexcited at times like this?
“He…hey Konno-san. You know I’m not good at standing out, right?”
“What are you talking about, after playing such a big role? Let us have a little fun too! Hahaha!”
I couldn’t match the vigor of Konno-san.
It was time for me to make up my mind and give my best performance.
I didn’t have a single trick up my sleeves. Now that I thought of it..
… It was dangerous.
Otomizu called out to me as I was worried about the after party.
“Sasamiya-san.”
Otomizu finished her training at the end of June, and was now a member of Konno-san’s team.
“I’m done, can I help you with something?”
“No, I’m fine. All I have to do is check the results sent from the client.”
Whenever a campaign event for smartphones was held, at the end of the event, the aggregate results of each store’s new and remodeled phones were sent.
Of course, it would be premature to judge the success of the campaign event based on the results from Saturday and Sunday alone.
Nevertheless, it went without saying that if we received good results here, it would be easier to get the next job.
“Oh! They’re here!”
A notification of incoming mail appeared on my computer.
The Tanabata campaign was unlikely to produce big results, as it was just before the summer vacations.
Compared to normal weekends, a twenty percent increase would be good.
This time, however, we were confident that we could get a pretty good number because we were trying something new.
“Hmm? …What’s this?”
When I saw the email, I tilted my head.
""
I had expected that if all went well, I might get thirty percent, but the results were very different.
Otomizu, who was standing next to me, peered at the screen and shouted.
