Ai Mi was dressed casually on her hard earned rest day. She had a white night gown with a pair of slippers and she had her hair down. I reckon she just got out of bed.
“You guys are so slow.” Ai Mi sat and grumbled at the dining table, “What happens if I starve to death because you came too late.”
The dining room wasn’t especially large, but the Western decorations were all high quality. The floor, window ledge, and seats, were all made out of solid red wood. There were also four complex chandeliers hung from the ceilings, the types that would fall down and shatter in Hollywood movies. (Maybe it’s because I don’t know how to appreciate it, but I feel like it looks like jellyfish)
It was clearly bright outside, but the curtains were drawn shut and the lights were all open. The class leader would be crying inside if she saw this scene.
Xiong YaoYue spoke quietly from behind:
“Hey, hey, if Miss Ai Mi eats here every day, why did you tell me to bring chips and cola… did you trick me on purpose.”
“Don’t rush. You’ll soon understand.”
Ai Mi sat at the owner spot at the end of the long table and told us to sit on her left and right side.
The dining table that could seat 8 people only sat the 3 of us. It’s a good thing we didn’t have OCD.
“Is your cold better?” I asked Ai Mi after wiping my hands with the warm towel provided by Peng TouSi.
Ai Mi snorted, “Why are you only caring now, you could have came to check on me sooner.”
I said without confidence: “School’s been busy, and don’t you rarely get rest days…”
Ai Mi turned around and asked Xiong YaoYue:
“Winnie, I heard you went to play a game last week, what game was that fun?”
Xiong YaoYue answered embarrassed:
“It was League of Legends, aka LOL… my team was lacking people, so I had to go and help…”
“Ah, I think I’ve heard the manservant mention it before. Isn’t it a game for elementary school students, why are you still playing it in middle school…?”
I never said LOL was a game for elementary school students, that’s what Xiao Ding from the pet hospital told me. Please don’t use my name to attack LOL.
“It’s not a game for elementary school students!” Xiong YaoYue retorted, “Even university students play LOL, I’ve met quite a few of them at internet cafes. There was also a time when two university roommates who got into a fight because of LOL, and it was our team who had to step in and break them apart.”
Those universityy are basically as immature as elementary school students. I heard there was an university student who stabbed their roommate to death because of LOL.
“Is it really that interesting?” Ai Mi was skeptical, “My mom only allows me to play dance pad games…”
“It’s definitely really fun.” Xiong YaoYue strongly reccommended it to Ai Mi, “And you really feel a sense of accomplishment from building a team. Even beginners can rank high if someone carries them.”
“Is that right. Is it kind of like of like how Sun Yue has a championship ring, but Yao Ming doesn’t? As long as your team is strong, it doesn’t matter if you’re weak.”
“Well, you can’t be too weak…” Xiong YaoYue frowned, “But if Miss Ai Mi plays with us, we will all protect you.”
Ai Mi leaned her chin and gazed at the ceiling like she was slightly moved.
Damn, don’t try to tempt my sister to play internet games. What if she gets addicted and Ai ShuQiao will have to use electric shock therapy to treat her.
Speaking of internet addictions, Xiong YaoYue was opposed:
“It’s not easy getting addicted to LOL, for example I’m not addicted. I heard there was a drug addict who gave up his drug addiction to save money for LOL. Look at those positive changes LOL is making on people!”
I think you provided an example of how LOL is even more addicting than drugs.
Ai Mi muttered to herself:
“Anway, I can’t go to net cafes because of the foul atmosphere… but I could renovate one of the empty rooms…”
Ai Mi asked Peng TouSi who was standing on guard at the door: “If we want to make a LOL team, do we have a suitable room on the first floor?”
Do you not care about the second floor at all? If you’re even afraid of the second floor, then you’re acrophobia is even more serious than mines.
Peng TouSi replied immediately: “There is such a room. According to my knowledge, LOL sits in a row of 5. If we want to set up a team, then we need 2 x 5 seats since we also need opponents…”
You don’t have to understand it to that extent. Or do you always do a thorough and detailed background check on everyone who gets close to Ai Mi? So when you were investigating Xiong YaoYue, did you also take some time to learn LOL?
“Wait, wait.” the shocked Xiong YaoYue blinked rapidly, “Miss Ai Mi, are you saying you want to sponsor the Wasteland Wolves?”
“The team name sounds horrible.” Ai Mi fussed, “That mean can at most be our practice partners. Winnie, go and find some actual experts and make a new team with us.”
Peng TouSi interrupted: “Miss, even if you have a team, you can only play 40 minutes a day. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee that I can keep it a secret from Madam Ai ShuQiao.”
“I know, I know.” Ai Mi spoke with dissatisfaction, “Peng TouSi, you’re so annoying, hurry up and get married.”
As Ai Mi said that, Xiong YaoYue covered her mouth and laughed then looked at me.
At this time, the French chef had already served the hot tea, egg sandwiches, and strawberry cheese toast. In the cool room, the heat from the food really stimulated our appetites.
Xiong YaoYue secretly kicked me under the table. Based on her gaze, it seems like she was saying: “It was the right choice to come without eating breakfast.”
At this point, I feel like I should talk about the three largest female gluttons in class 2-3.
First is Loud Mouth, her appetite is deserving of being ranked number one. Her only weakness is that she moves around slowly, so she would probably expend all her stamina at a buffet before she even gets full. But if someone was willing to get food for her, she would get her money’s worth even if she goes to a really expensive buffet.
The next one is Xiong YaoYue. Her strength is fast movements and speed eating. Her weakness is she talks a lot when eating and she would also spit out all the food in her mouth if she hears a joke when eating.
Finally, you can’t forget Xiao Qin. Usually, her appetite is the same as a normal girl’s for regular food. But her true strength is revealed when eating seafood. She’s the living nightmare of all seafood buffets.
The second ranked glutton was moved to tears as she took a bite of the egg sandwich.

The French chef already had amazing skills. Plus, Xiong YaoYue ran to my house on an empty stomach, so it isn’t that weird for someone like her to cry after tasting such delicacies.
“Does it taste good?” Since the French chef was anxiously waiting for her review, I hinted at Xiong YaoYue to give some more compliments.
“It’s good, it’s delicious.” She ate while crying, “It’s much better than shit… no, I mean, how could there be such a delicious sandwich?”
Compared to the speechless Xiong YaoYue, Ai Mi threw a piece of bred into her mouth with a lack of interest and she was almost too lazy to chew.
The Frech chef was moved as he saw Xiong YaoYue scarfing down the food. He must have felt his cooking was able to let a girl forget her manners. He returned to the kitchen with tears in his eyes.
Xiong YaoYue really likes talking while eating, so she began discussing the LOL team with Ai Mi and Peng TouSi. I couldn’t really say anything for the time being.
“If Miss Ai Mi can only play 40 minutes a day, then I would have to find four other really strong players.”
“No way.” Ai Mi refused to admit she was awful at games, “I only asked you to find experts so they could match my skill. And they can’t have a bad appearance.”
“Um…” Xiong YaoYue scratched her face, “I don’t really personally think anybody looks bad….”
Then she pointed at me, “What do you think about Ye Lin?”
Ai Mi snorted, “At first I thought he was a criminal, but then it got better as I became more used to him.”
We share half our DNA, so don’t call me ugly.
Xiong YaoYue sighed in relief, “Then, does that mean it’s fine if they look at least better than Ye Lin?”
“I guess.” Ai Mi plucked at the food in her plate.
“Hahah, then that’s easy. I think everyone in the internet cafe…”
Then, when she saw my expression, she stuck out her tongue and decided not to say anymore.
Ai Mi and Xiong YaoYue were only discussing about the insignificant details, they completely didn’t know the important parts about forming a professionally sponsored team.
In the end, it was Peng TouSi who helped them formulate a plan:
Ai Mi gave the new team the name Golden Lightning. It’s composed of 10 members split into team 1 and team 2. There had to be at least four good players on call at anytime. When Ai Mi wants to play, the four of them has to carry her without letting her die even once.
What unreasonable requests. With your personality and awful skills, your teammates would always be dead tired.
Since they were a professional team, Peng TouSi suggested to provide free lodging and meals for the players. In addition, they would receive a monthly salary of ¥5000. If they also receive advertisement revenue like other teams, it would be split 30-70 between the team and the players.
“Can we find anyone for ¥5000?” Ai Mi was in doubt, “Should we change it to USD?”
Xiong YaoYue was shocked to the point she stopped eating.
“Please don’t.” I waved my hands, “It’s already enough. If you raise it to 5000 USD, you’ll cause a bloodbath in all the internet cafes throughout the city.”
Ai Mi, who only ate a bit for breakfast, leaned back on her seat and said:
“Why do we have to split the ad revenue and prize money? Why can’t we just give all of it to them?”
Peng TouSi explained:
“Miss, you’re always only interested in something for brief periods of time. If one day you disbanded the team, the members might not like the terms of other sponsors because they were treated too well here. So, we’re only thinking about their future.”
As if it was a joke, the Golden Lightning team was established by Ai Mi.
Even though they planned to have 10 members (not including Ai Mi), at the moment Xiong YaoYue was the only member. And she was even assigned as both a permanent captain and manager. She also has the right to fire any member she deems unsuitable.
“Ah, I… don’t have the skills to be the captain.” Xiong YaoYue declined, “Besides, I hate firing other people. When I see their pained expression, I would rather fire myself first.”
“No problem.” Ai Mi said patiently, “If you find any unsuitable members, just tell the manservant and he will fire them. I mean who else would be the bad guy with a face like his.”
Is that my only use as your brother? Do you want to spread my bad name into the world of esports too?
Anyway, Xiong YaoYue accepted the task of finding members for the team. By the way, for ¥5000 a month, I would have wanted to join but I don’t know how to play at all.
After breakfast, Ai Mi acted as a homeowner for once and brought Xiong YaoYue on a tour of the VIP building. At the same time, she could get her opinions on where to set up the esports room and the member lodging.
When we passed the kitchen, Xiong YaoYue ran to the French chef and bowed. Although they couldn’t speak the same language, they were still able to move each other.
After strolling around for a while, Ai Mi said she was tired and wanted to take a bath to recover.
As Ai Mi was soaking in the tub, Xiong YaoYue went to use a different washroom.
She impatiently beckoned me from the door right after she flushed like she had something important to show me.
“It’s my first time seeing this kind of toilet. It has three rows of buttons on each side and feels really high-end.”
“I didn’t even need paper, first a rinse, then dry, it felt so good.”
“Also the tap over there…” Xiong YaoYue dragged me next to the sink, “Look, this tap is made out of pure good, and this design…”
Damn, it really is pure gold, and it’s in the shape of a dragon where the eyes are diamonds. How extravagant, it wasn’t here the last time I came.
We back tot he living room after touring the bathroom and waited for Ai Mi while enjoying some tropical fruits Peng TouSi had brought.
There were a few CDs on the coffee table that Ai Mi was using as cup placeholders. Xiong YaoYue suddenly realized Ai Mi was the one who was singing and dancing on the cover.
“What is this?” Like me, Xiong YaoYue couldn’t understand the English on the cover.
“It’s nothing much. Ai Mi is actually a celebrity with quite a number of fans in America, that’s one of her records.”
“What?” Xiong YaoYue was surprised, “Are you saying we’re in the home of a celebrity?”
