I remained in the garden until I couldn’t see him any longer.

“He’s somewhat a little different from what I expected.”

I thought he didn’t come to see me because he despised me.

But when I think about it, I was just a child he left for the two years when he was away from the mansion.

‘And in the meantime, I remembered my past life.’

Before that, my memory of him was not clear either, so he might be different.

“Yes, I will try to be closer to him from now on.”

I was ready to change my relationship with Cardin from now on.

If Cardin doesn’t show any affection for me as a family despite my efforts, I’ll gladly give up.

He gave me hope, I wanted to try to become a family to Cardin.

“Then I’ll start tomorrow.”

I’ve decided to put my plan into practice tomorrow.

I failed today, so I decided to go back to my room.

“Oh my goodness…..princess!”

When I returned to the room, I had no choice but to laugh after seeing my nanny’s expression.

That evening, various medicines were delivered to my room.

***

The next day, the attitude of the servants had changed.

I feel like they’re watching my every move.

In fact, There have been countless times in my previous life when I received this kind of gaze.

When I was an elementary school student, I received many love and interest from my friends and teachers. I was a model student.

But it was only until they knew I was an orphan.

I didn’t know how the information had leaked, but they changed their attitudes towards me gradually.

Every time I walk through the hall, every time I made a presentation, they gave me a chilling gaze.

“What’s happening…?”

They have been gazing at me since this morning.

“Cough…!”

As I stared at them for a long time, the servants went on their way, coughing in vain.

For the past two years when Cardin was away, they only chatted among themselves, and ignored me.

“Let’s go to the garden!”

I hurried to the garden full of Eldoras.

Upon arriving at the garden, the fragrant scent of flowers filled my nose.

It’s like this garden is in a different world.

Colorful flowers and trees blend well with the Eldoras, making the garden even more beautiful.

I looked at the place where I had a fight with the maids. It was now very clean compared to before.

“Ah, I have to take it quickly.”

I made up my mind to carry out the plan that I failed last time.

Eldora can grew back within a week and bloomed beautifuly if the roots were alive because of its good regenerative power.

“Ugh!”

However, it was hard to be picked up.

As expected, the flower stalk was so tough that it took quite a lot of effort with my small strength.

I changed my plan.

“I’ll take only one.”

I decided to take only one, considering my physical ability.

After a few attempts, I finally succeeded in taking a single Eldora flower.

Even that caused my tender palms to turn red.

Now that I’ve done my task in the garden, I had to go see the main character today.

“Where is Cardin?”

I got an Eldora, but I was missing the most important thing. The whereabouts of the main character who will receive the flowers. I couldn’t search for him in this wide mansion.

“Is he working?”

I’ll have to go to Cardin’s office first. I don’t know the way but I can ask someone.

Walking aimlessly down the hall, I found a maid wiping the windows in a distance.

I ran quickly to her and pulled the maid’s skirt lightly.

“Oh my!”

The maid looked down and found out that I was the one who pulled the hem of her skirt, she opened her eyes wide.

“What is it, princess?”

Oh, this is one of the servants I saw in the hallway on my way to the garden.

She flinched and wanted to leave quickly.

I don’t want to stay longer either, so I go straight to the point.

“Where’s Cardin?”

“Huh? Car…gasp! You mean the duke?”

“Yes.”

Stop being surprised and let me know quickly. I don’t have time.

I walked so much that I felt numb on my legs. I wanted to meet Cardin quickly and take a rest.

“I heard he’s in the office now…”

“Where’s the office?”

“The black door on the fifth floor is his office.”

“Okay, thank you.”

I headed to the fifth floor with the stiff-faced maid behind me.

With both hands, I carefully wrapped the Eldora.

I finally arrived, and was out of breath coming to the fifth floor with my short legs.

Unlike the first floor, where only a few servants were seen, the hall was dark and gloomy.

Then I could see a servant picking up a pot and a teacup from far away.

My hunch was telling me this person was definitely on his way to Cardin’s office.

I trailed behind the servant, dragging my shaky legs.

Then, I finally saw the black door.

Knock knock.

“Duke, I’ve brought you tea.”

Soon, he opened the door and I sneaked behind the servant.

As soon as I entered the room, I hid behind the sofa.

I took a moment to praise myself.

‘So this is Cardin’s office.’

I stood on my toes and peeped at his desk. I saw Cardin writing something down on the paper.

“Duke, I’ll leave the tea here.”

“…do that.”

The servant soon disappeared out of the office.

Now in the office, it was only me and Cardin left.

‘Oh, my legs hurts.’

I decided to sit behind the sofa and rest for a while.

The gentle sound of the pen made my mind calmer.

I straightened and massaged my legs.

‘Huh?’

I suddenly couldn’t hear the sound of the pen anymore.

‘Is he already finished?’

I was wondering what Cardin was doing, so I got up quietly and looked at the desk.

“Ah.”

When did he start looking this way? I made eye contact with Cardin.

“……”

“……”

There was a stifling silence.

I couldn’t stand the silence, so I opened my mouth first.

“Hewwo.” (Hello.)

I came out from the back of the sofa and greeted him proudly. It was a very imposing attitude for a person caught sneaking around.

Cardin was still staring at me and showing no other reaction.

“Why…did you come?”

He didn’t even greet me back.

“This!”

I ran all the way to Cardin’s desk and pushed out a bunch of Eldora flower.

“It’s a present. Accept it.”

Cardin slowly reached out to receive the Eldora that was in my hand.

“…..”

Cardin didn’t say anything while looking at the flowers.

I wanted to present Eldora to Cardin directly.

Of course, giving flowers as a present was not the real purpose.

I brought up my real purpose of coming here to improve our relationship.

“Let’s get along well.”

“….what?”

“I’ll give you this every day.”

From now on, I decided to give Cardin flowers every day and take the first step in ‘Cardin’s friendship project’.

“Then goodbye—“

I waved my hand and came out of the office proudly, after looking at Cardin’s astonished expression.

‘I need to exercise more’

In order to walk to Cardin’s office everyday, I had to take care of my physical strength.
