Amin awoke suddenly, curled up in a ball. His eyes couldn't open, nor could he get out of his uncomfortable position. Starting to panic, he tried to slam the wall of whatever cage he was in. In reality, it ended up being a weak tap, as he was unable to move much. After tapping the same point consecutively, the egg broke.

Egg? Wait, shouldn't I be... in bed? Is this a dream? No, that's right. I died.

Amin volunteered as a junior coach at a golf program. He liked working with the young kids, and let his guard down when around them. One boy, who seemed a little energetic, turned out to be straight insane and began to injure the other children with a club. Amin tried to protect the children, but was killed by having his neck crushed. He would never know if his death prevented any other of his students from dying, but he decided it wasn't the worst way to go.

In his odd new body, Amin crawled out of his egg. He was stunned by the world around him.

What the hell is this? Am I a newborn of some sort? Everything looks massive.

Turning around, Amin could see a sea of eggs, all of various size and shape, some broken and some intact, covering the shore of what seemed to be an island. At first he thought it like a sea turtle breeding site, then he came to a grand realization.

This sulfurous air, the red ocean, the black sand. I've read about this somewhere. This feels too real. I can move my entire body, is this really a dream? Or has my soul been implanted into a newborn demon's body, like Roy from Custom Made Demon King? This setting is way too much his birth as a demon. If that is the case, I need to eat my egg, a few other demon infants if I can, and run into the volcano waaaay over there.

As he formulated his plan, Amin munched on his egg, which tasted awful due to the sticky fluid that coated it. He was about to puke it out when a load of information entered his mind. Images of demons fighting angels, eating what seemed to be souls, and two demons flooded his mind. After he regained control over himself, Amin tried to figure out what he just saw.

What was that? That wasn't the stuff Roy saw when he ate his egg, was it? He didn't see his parents, but I did. Or so I think. A succubus and a black fishlike demon. I mean...

He looked at his body, taking note of his now gray skin, sharp nails, and a tail that sprouted from his lower back. It was thin and seemingly more frail than his other limbs. It had an arrow at the end, like most demons he saw in fiction. He had two bulges on his forehead, and surprisingly some short onyx black hair on his scalp.

I don't know if I really resemble either of them. Yay for hair, though. And I have a demon name now, it was... ah, something. I only remember the last two names, Noval Akros? So I can pass asa Akros. Maybe Noval can be used as an alias around non demons.

As he swallowed the last piece of eggshell, there was no memories, but voice is his mind. The same voice that told him his name.

'Custom Made Demon King system has activated!'

Wait a sec- holy shit.

A illusionary panel appeared in front of Akros' face, stunning him. He had seen this before in fiction, but it now it was really happening. A eye emerged from the screen, blinked at him, and promptly disappeared. Then an image of a gray skinned humanoid creature was shown on the screen. It was rotating slowly, and beside it there were options such as Inventory, Create, Modify, Save, and Status. After gawking at the screen for a moment, Akros tapped the Status button, to no effect.

Ah, it's one of those. I gotta use it mentally, like... Status!

As he predicted, the screen got larger to show a list of information beside Akros' seflie.

Name: Amin

Race: Demon

Bloodline: Shadow Demon, Succubi

Demon Name: ...Noval Akros

I'm not reading all of that.

Form: Newborn (Mature)

Hierarchy: Bottom of low rank

Magic Energy: 11

Vitality: 30

Skills: None

Race Ability 1: Soul Peer

Description: After living beings die, you can easily discover the location of their souls.

Race Ability 2: Demon Blood

Description: The demon race is cruel and lusts for blood. In combat, you are likely to go berserk. In addition, Demon Blood grants a great affinity with negative energies, including several types of magic.

Race Ability 3: Soul Devouring Addiction

Description: Souls are delicious to all demons, and grant a permanent increase to your magic energy.

Talent Ability 1: Eternal Spite

Souls in Possession: 0

Evaluation: You failed to obtain any talent abilities from your bloodlines, but your initial stats are high due to your bloodlines. You should have no issue triumphing over those at the same level.

Akros was shocked by the information before him.

I'm lucky to have such a good starting point. Eternal Spite sounds like the Zenkai Boost, aside from the fate changing stuff. Maybe if I learn some kind of foresight or future seeing, I can utilize that more. This system is relatively simple after a closer look anyway, what's there to worry about? It seems I can create items, skills, and more with my imagination, and the system reading into my mind and memories. The only issue is the soul cost. It seems if I negotiate by weakening whatever I'm trying to make, the soul cost goes down. I can modify existing items, skills, and... myself? Neato. Save allows me to save projects that I can't create yet, and my Inventory is empty. As long as I get enough souls, I will become immensely powerful! It'll take me a while to reach such a height as demon king, though.

Waves crashed against the shore, the spray bringing Akros back to his senses. Remembering his original objection, he put away his thoughts for later and began to crush the unhatched eggs near him. He was able to struggle through the disgust of eating other demons, but was careful not to eat their shells. He didn't need anymore random memories.

After consuming about fifteen demon eggs, Akros made his way inland. Other demon infants watched him in confusion, wondering why he was leaving the feast. However, they didn't dare approach him after seeing his strength. Akros was able to crush eggshells with his bare hands and feet, a feat only the stronger newborns could manage. Most of the demons had hatched by now, most of them either fighting with others or eating demons in eggs who have yet to hatch.

Akros payed them no mind, as he knew what was coming. With a head start, he could guarantee his survival, and enter the Infinite Abyss. After some time he reached the base of a massive volcano, which had holes in its side where magma came from. Akros grit his sharp teeth. He discovered on his way in the volcano that he had sharp, pointed teeth and the front of his mouth but had human like molars at the back, along with a long purple tongue. His eyes had red irises and black scleras, and his pupils were purple. The combination of colors made his eyes appear alien, but he passed it off as being unique. During his human life, he longed to stray from human nature, the instinct to fit in. Now he could the most unique being to exist! The possibilities excited him to no end.

Unfortunately, the present danger of magma gave him no time to ponder, and he had to carefully climb on the walls of the volcano. Remembering how Roy descended into the Abyss, Akros began to dig a hole in the inner side of the volcano. After he made some decent progress, the volcano began to rumble loudly, and the cries of little demons began to echo inside. Soon he was joined by other demons who helped him dig, fortunately it was a instinct among demons so their aggression towards each other was reduced to near nothing. They dug the tunnel up a bit, then travel down until they reached a larger cave. The magma from the volcano filled the entrance of the hole, blocking it.

All is how it should be, now I just need to follow these guys down to the Abyss.

Akros made sure he wasn't the first to get in the cave. Once he dropped in he followed the rest of the little demons, making sure to be wary of the ones close.

If I remember correctly, the demons should leave me alone once we get to the Abyss... but let's be wary just in case.

Akros and the other demons eventually exited the cave, into a massive dimly lit space that stretched as far as his eyes could see. The dirt and trees were black, along with the rivers of laca and glowing red sky, this world looked like hell. However, Akros knew better. This was the endless Abyss, and he currently was at the very top. Once he promoted to middle rank, he could descend further. As of now, he was a newborn low rank demon.

I need to enhance myself quick, the sooner the better. I'm safer the more powerful I become.

A week passed by quickly, and in that time Akros had hunted and killed many of the monsters roaming the area. He avoided fights with demons unless it was necessary. He rested in a mountain cave not too high from the ground. Most of his time, however was spent hunting for food. Currently he was carrying a fresh wolf corpse to his cave. He had often encountered wolf type monsters near his cave, and ate a whole wolf a day. He was quickly getting used to always being on guard outside his cave, and adapting to the harsh life he had in general. After eating most of the wolf, he checked his status using the system.

Souls in possession: 10 complete low grade souls, 25 incomplete low grade souls

This should be enough to enhance myself, or create a weapon. Skills require noble and fallen souls, which I currently have no way of getting. I'll have to eventually make a horadric cube like Roy did. For now, let's see...

Akros thought of ways to improve his body, using his fictional knowledge. He eventually down to a couple options, after deciding what was roughly within soul price range.

One, I harden my body. I could give myself an exoskeleton or simply make my bones stronger. Two, I could accelerate my growth, but I need to fully adapt to this body. I still have trouble standing straight with my tail. Three, I make my tail into a spear like blade, like Roy did. It does sound appealing. Four, I can give myself a passive ability or make a devil fruit. I don't know which one, maybe Mochi Mochi or Tremor Tremor. Those two are super strong. I can create abilities using items, but I must be careful for side effects. Fortunately the system allows me to revise the definition of things I create before creating them.

Akros sighed. He was thinking hard about this, but always seemed to stump himself. He didn't know what to start with, so he went with the most reliable option.

I'll do what he did. Now, to imagine how I want my tail...

The system's interface showed a gray tail with a shining silver arrow shaped blade at the end. Silver plates covered the rest of his tail, making it armored. Akros wanted to make his tail a weapon, after all. It had to be durable enough to attack and defend.

Once Akros confirmed the modification to his body, he gasped in pain. His tail began to burn as if acid was poured on it. Akros grit his teeth, not making a squeak.

If I cry out in pain, I may attract attention. Stay strong!

After a blistering minute, the pain subsided. Akros examined his new tail, and had to hold in his glee.

His silver plated tail looked amazing, on top of that, it was longer than it was before. It was then he realized that he felt stronger than before.

How am I not falling over? My tail has got to be heavier now, right? ...Did my muscles grow in response to the additional weight? Oh wow.

His tail gaining mass resulted in the muscles of his core and hips growing, and a little everywhere else. After his glee faded away, it was replaced with weariness. His body was out of energy, and needed sleep. Granting his body's wish, Akros laid himself down on a mound of dirt, specially arranged to cradle his body.

He lost conscious quickly, wondering what the future held.

As he woke, he felt something was off. Scurrying to his feet, Akros checked his status.

Souls in Possession: 2 low grade souls

Dang, it really ate up my stock. Worth it, though. Now I should hunt weaker demons, so that I can speed up my... growth? Wait a minute...

Akros had no idea how long he had slept, as there was no way to tell time in the Abyss. No day, no night. However, he could very clearly see that his entire body had grown considerably, even the bumps on his forehead began to bulge more. With his new growth spurt, he was 3' 8" tall, and his tail being 7' long. It was light enough that he could flick it around without losing his balance, and he walked it would sway behind him in the air.

After he was done examining his body, Akros left his cave to find food and souls. To his bewilderment, there was skin shedding nearby his cave. They were large and long, the shedding of some snake demon, or so he thought.

He ventured further out to find many snake monsters in the area. Ranging from 2 to 6 feet long with sharp fangs and red scales, the snakes looked fairly normal. They were aggressive to Akros' presence, so he would immediately pierce them with his bladed tail. The snake monsters weren't fast enough to reach Akros before his tail reached them, so it was easy hunting. He put most of their corpses in his inventory to eat later.

This feels too easy. Not that I'm complaining, but I shouldn't get comfortable. Something could pop up outta nowhere...

Akros kept hunting for hours, until finally returning to his cave. He grew too hungry to keep lashing his tail about, and needed to rest. When he returned to his cave, he began to eat the snake corpses.

I've never had snake before, but it's not bad. Eating raw meat feels right. Now, I should have enough souls to enhance myself again. Status!

Souls in possession: 2 grade rank souls, 34 low grade soul fragments

Fragments? Were those snake monsters the clones of something larger? Well, I left no trace for them to track. I should be good here. Now, I have an idea for enhancement. Create!

The panel switched to the Create tab. Akros smiled coolly, feeling confident in his idea. He imagined an injection syringe with red liquid.

Saiyan blood. System, give it the properties "Perfect Fusion", "No Oozaru side effects", and "Built in Ki manipulation". Now let's see if I can make it yet.

Saiyan Blood: 5% completion

Tremor Tremor Fruit: 0.2% completion

Mochi Mochi Fruit: 0.2% completion

High Speed Regeneration Ring: 0.1% completion

Damn. Not much after all that. After another couple hunts I should have it though. What's more pressing is reaching adulthood. Too many predators out and about. Actually, that sounds better than any crazy powers right now. I'll have to practice my magic, ki, whatever powers I come to wield. However, getting used to a full grown body will be easy enough.

Akros had seen many other little demons die to himself, or larger demons and monsters. They were easy prey in their eyes, and there was no mercy. Akros was able to kill his own kind without hesitation knowing that every battle was to the death. If an adult demon challenged him, he was dead meat.

Create. Growth Spurt potion. System, define it as a liquid that will speed up my growth in a spurt, not continuously. Just enough to get my body to adulthood. Also, make it taste like 2% milk.

Growth Spurt Potion: 100% Complete

Sweet! Confirm creation!

Upon his mental order, the system created a small glass bottle full of a transparent, thick liquid. It almost reminded Akros of modern medicine. He drank it slowly, to be safe. Once he downed the bottle, he immediately felt surging waves of pain throughout his body.

Akros roared in agony as his body grew at an enhanced rate, increasing his height to 6 feet and his tail length to 14 feet. His skin darkened to become a dark gray, and the metallic plating on his tail shined with more luster. His long nails were now sharp claws, complimented by his long arms. Horns pierced out of his forehead, slanting sideways. They were like makeshift eyebrows, as he later came to realize from his selfie in status. His body became lean and muscular, complimented by his genitalia maturing. That's when Akros came to a grand realization.

I need clothes.

Akros spent his remaining souls creating a pair of boxers that matched his skin color, with the attribute "Lavender Scent". Not that the smell was noticeably bad, but Akros knew that in other worlds he would smell it more than in the Abyss. Here the smell of sulfur and fire was too powerful, albeit it felt homely due to his demon blood.

After eating some more snake meat, Akros decided his body should rest after such a transformation. Once he woke again he resumed hunting, but this time he abandoned his cave for good. Fresh out of souls, he felt broke.

Mama snake might find out it was me who killed her clones, or that's what I assume those were. They only had soul fragments. Now I need to kill demons. Once I have my Saiyan Blood, I'll find an altar to visit another world to get more souls.

A month passed quickly with Akros spending all his time killing other demons. He targeted adult demons now, to get higher quality souls but also to gain experience in combat. He grew merciless, not even blinking at the deaths of his own kin. Whenever he sustained injuries, he would walk it off, knowing that his demonic vitality would let him keep going. On top of that, he grew stronger after recovering from injuries thanks to Eternal Spite.

Other demons steered clear of him, approaching such a fierce adversary meant certain death for the unexperienced demons. Fortunately for Akros, the low rank demons he killed didn't practice any kind of close combat fighting, merely going berserk in battle. Akros himself had to put great effort into staying calm, even when he was maimed. Carelessness caused by rage would result in death, as he learned from killing demons.

Akros sat upon a pile of corpses, using them as a guard against those who would challenge him. A couple demons passed by, but lost their will to fight at the sight of his ferocious body that was soaked in blood. Even his boxers, he lamented.

Modify. Let's see, I can modify either myself or existing items that I possess. System, add "Self-Cleaning" and "Self-Repairing" to my Boxers.

The modification cost him 5 low grade souls each, but he deemed it a worthy price considering how helpful it'd be in the future. As soon as he confirmed the changes, he could feel his boxers steaming. Apparently it burned out the blood that soaked it.

Souls in possession: 130 low grade souls

Not bad. Create, Saiyan Blood.

80 souls vanished from his inventory, and a syringe appeared in his hands. Akros looked at from all sides, making sure it looked right. He sighed to himself, then laughed bitterly.

Never know unless I try, right? I can always get more souls anyway.

With that Akros injected the blood into his left shoulder, making sure every drop went in. Nothing happened.

Wait, saiyan blood would just be red blood cells, right? What if they don't reproduce? Oh no-?!

His thoughts were interrupted by pain coursing through his veins as the saiyan blood cells began to reproduce with his demon cells, truly being a perfect fusion. However, during the process the cells performed all their other jobs slower, and Akros felt very ill. It wasn't until his blood flow stabilized that he felt that wasn't going to die. In fact, he felt slightly stronger than before.

Strength: 132

Speed: 140

Magic Energy: 11

Vitality: 250

Skills: Ki Manipulation, Saiyan Transformations (Locked)

Holy cow. Wait, this isn't India. Those stats- I mean, my stats are crazy now! Why is my vitality so much higher than everything else?! Well, I should practice my ki on other demons in the meantime. Once I learn how to fly, and create decent sized ki blasts, I should be ready for otherworld combat.

Another week passed by, which Akros spent either harnessing his ki abilities, or killing demons. He saved his souls for now, as they did not dissipate in his inventory nor did he have enough to create his next item of desire: a conversion tool. He knew that fallen and noble souls were difficult to come across, so it was easier to create them himself. However, he had no clue how many souls he'd need to make a soul converting tool.

In the meantime, Akros felt better than ever. He learned from his battles how to fight efficiently, using melee blows and ki blasts alike. His tail served as his guillotine, he would pin down his opponent with his arms and legs and use his tail to sever or pierce their head. His tail proved extremely durable, as he could use it to parry heavy attacks or crude weapons some of the older low rank demons made. Akros decided that his tail would serve as a sufficient weapon until he obtained some kind of metal to create a weapon, or if he got enough souls.

The demons he faced that possessed some intelligence were greatly confused by his ki blasts, often leaving themselves open. A few asked him in their last breaths, "How can you use magic? No low rank demon can use magic!" to which Akros replied slyly; "It's not magic."

It didn't take him long to learn the demon language, after so many demons yelling insults and such at him.

By the end of the week of nonstop practice, Akros was able to fly using ki. First he learned to hover, then slowly getting the handle of speed. When his movements became faster than what low rank demons could see, Akros decided it was time to answer a summon from another world.

Akros spent days searching, flying across the upper Abyss with no luck. Until suddenly a strong, sweet odor hit his nostrils.

This must be... a high grade soul?! It has to be coming from a summoning altar!

Akros followed the scent for what seemed like miles. Obviously, the soul being offered had to be potent as hundreds of demons were gathering together, trampling and butchering those who get in their way. Once Akros came closer to the altar, he was stunned.

A darp purple rock temple, with four pillars holding up a slanted roof. It looked greek, but it was covered with demon symbols. There was four rings of letters that glowed, and in the middle of them was a portal where the scent came from. All the other demons were fighting their way to the portal, and Akros could reach it while they were distracted. However, he hesitated.

If the summoner is using a high grade soul to summon, it's likely to be an experienced demon summoner. It could even be a demon of higher rank, summoning an army. It'd be better for me to wait for a less potent offering, by a demon summoner who is less experienced. I'm not trying to be recruited into an army, I'd stand out too much with my ki capabilites. Without them, I'm merely a upper-low rank demon. How lucky I am, to know so much about demon life. I always did like reading Custom Made Demon King.

Akros was torn out of his thoughts by a insect demon approaching him, climbing the tree he was currently crouching on. He snorted in contempt. Didn't this mongrel know his place?

"Die like a bug," Akros spat, sending his bladed tail into the insect demon's head. His tail cut through the exoskeleton like butter, slicing its whole body in half. Akros laughed in gruesome delight. As he killing potential increased, so did his ego. He wasn't stupid, though. He was only egotistical against enemies he knew he could kill.

After all, it was a demon eat demon world. There was little room for pride, glee, and other emotions when your life was constantly threatened. Akros had only recently entered a realm of power where he was safe to engage any low rank demon in this zone of the Abyss. If he let his guard down, he could be killed with a sneak attack. Akros knew he was much stronger than he was in his previous life yet he didn't feel like a powerful entity when he thought of middle and high rank demons. He didn't even want to worry about demon lords or kings yet. The mere thought of encountering one made him shudder.

A couple more demons tried to attack Akros, but his tail had too much range for them to get close. That, paired with his high ground he was unreachable to grounded demons. The corpses that lay at the base of the tree warded off flying demons, realizing he was not worth the risk.

He got bored quickly, not even paying attention to what demon went through the portal. He sifted through his saved items, double checking them to see if he over looked anything.

I totally forgot about the weakness of devil fruit! System, add "Does not affect swimming capabilites" to the Tremor-Tremor Fruit. I'm not gonna bother with the Mochi-Mochi Fruit anymore, as it can recreate its affects and abilities with magic, I think. There are several types of magic that allow me to shift my state of being with magic, right? When I promote, I'll definitely choose my Shadow Demon bloodline, which should grant me shadow magic? Frost demons can use ice magic, fire demons can use fire magic, so shadow demons use shadow magic, or so I hope. If not I can make another logia devil fruit, maybe the lava-lava fruit or the flame-flame fruit.

Time passed by as Akros pondered, only when the mass of demons dispersed did he come back to reality. The portal had disappeared leaving the other demons no reason to stay. However, Akros remained on his perch. He remained there for about an hour before another summoning portal opened, the thick scent of blood wafting through. It smelled very strong, so the demon summoner must have some experience, but not enough to use souls as bait.

Okay, this should be a safe summon. If the scent was too weak, I'd be stuck doing odd jobs for some lunatic. This scent... this guy must either have experience or a lot of resources.

He didn't waste any time, as other demons would come any second now to claim the summon as their own. Akros stepped through the portal, and promptly lost consciousness.
