Akros was roaring in pain and fury as he traversed space. Without his own spatial magic to protect him, he was torn apart by spatial fractures. The damage was insurmountable, and not even his scales could withstand it. Once enough of the ice coating his body was broken, he centered all of his defense around his heart. His limbs were torn off again and again, but as long as his heart pumped he would mend.

He did not know how much time passed. It felt like hours, perhaps even days that he withstood the treacherous journey through space. His regeneration slowed down after continuous lacerations, and he began to panic. When he had no limbs and no hope left, he was sucked into a spatial rift and lost consciousness.

Akros' limp torso fell out of the rift and into a cloudy sky. Even when limbless, his weight forced his body down at high speeds resulting in him plummeting like a hawk ready to strike. As he tumbled through the air, the friction between him and the atmosphere caused his body to ignite. His slowly regenerating wounds were set aflame as he became a flaming meteor.

At some point in his descent, he broke through the dense clouds. The humidity and wetness caused the fire to weaken significantly, but his body was already destroyed. Out of the clouds came ashes and a beating black heart.

There were still miles to go before his heart landed. The system recognized its host was in mortal peril, and an emergency function activated. A green sphere of energy surrounded Akros' heart, preventing it from burning up as it fell. Fortunately the organ was only a few hundred pounds, so it did not fall extremely fast.

While all of this was happening to Akros, life on the ground was peaceful. The human city of Magnolia was prosperous, friendly, and was watched over by a guild of mages. The Fairy Tail guild hall was as active as ever, with mages coming in and out to take job requests all over the country.

As the top-ranked guild in Fiore, the country Magnolia was part of, they were given a great number of high-paying jobs from wealthy businessmen, mayors, or sometimes even other guilds for a collaborative mission.

Currently outside the guild hall were five mages of this guild. One was Levy, a short blue-haired girl. Jet and Droy, two young men of the same age and her followers, stood in front of her like guards. A man with long, spiky black hair with piercings on his face was Gajeel. Lastly was the fur coat equipped blonde behemoth, Laxus. (Episode 41 of the anime).

Gajeel was limping away after Laxus had dealt some heavy blows. Gajeel was formerly Fairy Tail's enemy, and there was much controversy within the guild surrounding his recruitment. While the master, Makarov, insisted he deserved a second chance not everyone thought the same.

"Tch!" Laxus scoffed, storming away. "Is this what has become of Fairy Tail?!"

Once Laxus was out of earshot, Levy and the two men sighed in relief.

"What's his problem?" Jet asked.

"Yeah, he seemed more angry than usual," Droy agreed.

"Probably because we took in Gajeel-san, but...!" Levy held a hand to her heart. "He didn't retaliate when he was beaten just now. I think he really wants to repent for what he did to us..."

"..." Jet and Droy exchanged a look. They didn't like Gajeel in the slightest, but they both thought Laxus had gone too far. On top of that, when Laxus lashed out at Levy, Gajeel protected her with his body.

They began to head inside the guild to see if there was any suitable job requests they could take. It was at that moment that Akros' heart crashed into the ground behind them. With the green barrier still encasing the organ, the tissue was undamaged. The momentum behind it had left a dome-shaped crater in the ground where it lay.

The three young mages halted in their tracks, turning around to see what made the noise. Their own hearts skipped a beat when they saw a large, pulsating black and purple heart within a spherical barrier.

"W-what is that?!" Droy cried out in fear.

"A heart?! It still beats!" Jet was equally terrified.

"It's not human..." Levy said in a low voice, getting their attention. "It beats, but there's not an ounce of magic power stemming from it... is this a demon's heart?"

"How do you know this?" Jet asked, astounded. "Did you read it in a book?"

"Yes. It was a while ago, but I had gotten my hands on a tome about summoning demons from the Abyss. It's a black and forbidden magic that requires an immense amount of mana and an offering of blood or souls. Even then, you can summon at best a..." Levy paused to think. "...middle-rank demon, I think they're called. Low-rank demons are a higher possibility."

"Okay, but what does that have to do with that?" Droy inquired restlessly, looking green from the sight of the thumping heart.

"Yes. You two know about demons of the book of Zeref, right? Well, those are magically manufactured, and not natural life. Demons of the Abyss are often called 'true demons', as they are born and grow like any other specie. However, the book said that true demon hearts are meant to contain high amounts of mana, as the heart pumps it through their body. Why does this heart not reek of mana?"

"Beats me. I say we take it master and forget about it!" Droy suggested. Jet nodded in agreement.

Levy picked up the heart by the barrier around it, examining it at a closer angle. "Strange. This barrier is magical, but the heart has no mana. The barrier must've cast by someone else. But who...?"

"Levy-chan, this is beyond us," Jet said. "We lack the wisdom to deal with demons. We should let master handle this. I would say we toss it away, but something tells me I would regret that."

Levy looked at him with surprise, then smiled. "Sure."

They entered the Fairy Tail guild hall with Levy still carrying the barrier containing the heart. Other guild members who were lounging around, chatting, eating, or discussing jobs stared at the heart with mixtures of horror, disgust, and curiosity. One person was bold enough to come right up to her and ask what is was. None other than a young man with salmon-colored hair and a white scarf.

"Oi! Levy! What the heck is that?!" Natsu asked, almost yelling with his loud voice. His companions, a blue exceed and a young blonde woman, came from behind him.

"Ew..." Happy, Natsu's best friend and partner in crime, flew behind Natsu's head to avoid looking.

"Why is it beating...?" Lucy, the blonde newbie of Fairy Tail, asked with a disgusted face.

"Hey, you guys! I found this outside. It crashed down from the sky," Levy explained with a nervous smile. "I was going to ask master what to do with it, because..."

"Yeah, I don't think anyone knows what that is," Lucy agreed. She jerked a thumb over her shoulder, gesturing to the bar at the back. "Master is with Mira-san back there. He's already giving you a look."

"Oh. I'll talk to you later. Bye Lu-chan!" Levy moved with haste to see Makarov, who was sitting on the bar top. He was eyeing the heart in Levy's hands warily. "Master! We found this outside."

"I heard you. It fell from the sky?" Makarov asked.

"Yes, and it has this odd barrier around it."

"I see...!" His eyes bulged. "This is! Levy, hand it to me!"

"O-okay!" She obliged, giving the orb to him. She stepped back where Jet and Droy stood anxiously, waiting to see what their guild master had to say.

"How can this be...?" Makarov was starstruck as he observed the beating heart from up close. "This heart is teeming with mana, a world-breaking amount! Whoever this heart belonged to... no, I don't want to imagine. What's more interesting is that the mana is trapped within, as if it was syphoned or sealed. This barrier belongs to someone else.

"Judging by the fact that it still beats, I reckon it lives still. This barrier is too strong for us to crack, but..." Makarov pondered silently for a moment. "...we should keep an eye on it. Mira!"

"Yes, master?" A white-haired beauty asked from behind the bar.

"Take this, and put it in my office, please. Make sure it is in a place where I can see it."

"As you wish," Mira gently held the orb and did as she was asked. Once she was gone, Makarov turned his attention back to the three mages. "Thank you for informing me, you three. In a situation of uncertainty, you came to an elder for aid. Well done. Now I'll handle it from here, so go take a job request."

For the next week, Akros' heart lay in Makarov's office. It continued to beat at a steady rate, and the tissue was beginning to grow outward. However, Makarov was never able to check on it because he was busy with the Fairy Tail games orchestrated by Laxus. The guild was nearly torn apart by being forced to fight each other due to one of Laxus' underlings, Evergreen, holding hostages with petrification magic.

Now, Laxus had been expelled from the guild and peace resumed in the city of Magnolia. Tonight was the holiday parade Fantasia, where Fairy Tail members would ride on floats around the city and entertain the citizens with magic. Makarov was participating in this parade.

The commotion was exceedingly loud and full of cheer, reaching his office inside the guild hall. Akros' heart was stimulated by the magic being discharged, and subtly absorbed it from afar with the system deploying one of Akros' skills, Suction Production. However, the system was able to override the skill's usual production list and transfer the mana directly into the heart to progress his regeneration.

The next day, Makarov entered his office to fill out paperwork regarding the town's destruction caused by Laxus' influence. He was still upset over having to expel his own grandson, but he pushed the bitterness aside. He hopped up onto his high seat, and began to read through and sign forms and contracts for reconstruction.

After an hour, he set his pen down and rested his eyes. While he meditated, trying to put his small body at ease, his attention was caught by the pumping of Akros' heart. Makarov cracked an eye open to glance at it, before having to double take.

The heart was now covered by a layer of muscle and bones. A partial rib cage had been formed over night, and was still growing. The barrier surrounding the heart had expanded. Makarov felt a bead of sweat dribble down his temple.

"This is sickening. However, this confirms that this lifeform, whatever it may be, is alive. Do I treat it well, for the sake of a potential ally? Or do I cast it aside, in hopes it will leave us alone?" He murmured to himself.

Don't be afraid, boy.

Makarov gasped. He leapt off his chair, his back to the door. "What was that? Is that the heart speaking to me?!"

Correct.

"..." The old mage knew was it in for it now. He couldn't very well afford to abandon this heart now that it was speaking to him telepathically. That would be an easy way to make this lifeform an enemy. Given the ungodly amount of latent mana within that heart, Makarov desperately wanted to avoid hostility with this being. "If I may ask, who are you?"

You aim for a peaceful relationship? It's your lucky day. I think I know you from somewhere...

"You do? You came from the sky, no? You must be a being from Edolas."

Edolas? Oh, I must really be in that world. Hahahaha! What are the chances? No, I am not from Edolas, boy. I was expelled from another world and was sent here. I've been unconscious until your voice woke my soul just now.

"Your soul? I see. Your soul was inside your heart..." Makarov grimaced. He knew not of any being that could survive losing their heart. Now that he knew this being was an alien of sorts, he had a better understanding. "...if I may ask again, what are you? Who are you?"

You're bold, interrogating me! I respect that courage! So, I'll tell you. Lock the door and sit down. This'll take some time.

Makarov did as he was instructed. He was very curious as to what this being was, but more importantly he wanted to establish a good relationship. As he sat quietly, he listened to Akros explain his identity.

I am Demon Lord Akros! Lord of Darkness! Destroyer of Humanity! Son of Lilith! Son of Asmodeus! Annihilator of Dragons! Annihilator of Angels! Or so I was...

"Was?" Makarov asked in confusion, trying to assess each title. Akros did not lie with a single one, but Makarov had no context to go off of so naturally he was shocked. "Did you lose your magic power?"

You've got a good eye, boy. My magic power was syphoned by a powerful lich. I remain immortal, but my magic capabilities are temporarily halted. The syphon will last until I find a way to break it. Until then, I am magicless.

"I'm sorry to hear that," Makarov said, with a tinge of genuine empathy. Having great power only to lose it was a horrible fate, one reserved for only the worst criminals in his opinion. Even though Akros announced himself as humanity's enemy, he was being very cooperative. Makarov hoped that he could avoid disaster by befriending or at least allying himself with this mighty demon.

Meanwhile, Akros was having fun. He was in great pain from losing most of his body, but he'd been through worse. He'd reached the point where dismemberment was no longer enough to make him scream in pain. After experiencing holy flame at the hands of Sinclair and holy ichor from Querrlya, no physical pain could compare anymore.

The demon lord was also extremely knowledgeable of this world. Fairy Tail was the first anime he ever watched, one he grew up with in fact. However, it had been a long time since he had watched it so he had forgotten the lesser details. He figured he'd piece the plot together as it came, or create a new plot if his presence changed things too drastically.

I'll make a deal with you, Makarov. This guild of yours seems interesting enough, so... how about I join?

"...You mean, you wish to act as a guild member?" Makarov asked carefully, try not to let hope come through his voice. "You'll work with us?"

Akros smiled internally. He hadn't the least intention of betraying Makarov, or Fairy Tail in general because he loved them and the anime so much. They were good people, and he knew that if he treated them well he'd be accepted all the same. They were very accepting of all kinds of people, even former enemies such as Gajeel.

Akros wouldn't go out of his way to restore his magic power, and simply let the syphon wear off over time. Momonga had been hasty, and the syphon he cast was not enough to permanently seal Akros' magic power. So, the demon planned to burn time by joining the guild of his human childhood. It seemed that fate was on his side, and dropped him here on purpose.

Why not? I'll take jobs and work with other guild members to burn time. Not to mention, you humans interest me greatly. When I fully recover, I shall work with you as an ally. Here, sign this.

A demon contract appeared in front of Makarov. He was taken aback at first, but he was able to read its contents. As he read, he was relieved to see that Akros was being true to his word.

"You'll be part of Fairy Tail for ten years. In return, I'll treat you as a proper guild member. I accept!" Makarov declared after reading it twice. He signed the bottom where Akros' signature was. The lambskin scroll evaporated.

Akros was quite flummoxed. He was glad that Makarov agreed, but something was off. He signed a demon contract, so the repulsive force of this world should've been nullified. Why did he feel no change? Or perhaps, did he not feel it in the first place?

He suddenly remembered why he wanted to fuse with fallen angels in the first place. To become a demonic nephilim, to reduce the amount of world repulsion he felt for the sake of adventure and conquest over worlds. He wanted to whoop knowing he was successful in that goal, but he lacked functional vocal cords.

And so, Akros spent the next month in Makarov's office. As he slowly regrew his body, he would chat with the small Wizard Saint about various things. Conquest over worlds, achieving his body, why he fought a lich, and much more. Makarov was very intrigued by the stories the demon told, and took his honesty about the events as a sign of trust.

Due to his Zenkai Boost, Akros' reformed body was stronger than before. He couldn't see yet, so he couldn't view his status with the system. Foresight required his eyes and brain to function, so he couldn't use that skill either. That left his magic sense, a skill all magic users had after enough practice. Makarov's mana was not weak for a human, in fact he was quite powerful. Akros had no difficulty in sensing his location.

Makarov didn't let anyone inside the office besides Mira, who would come either help with paperwork or deliver water and food while her master worked. Akros had a fun time spooking her at first. She was a kind soul, traumatized by the death of her sister. Akros could almost feel her magic power wanting to burst out, but she never used it. After that incident it seemed that she never went on any more jobs, and became a barmaid for the guild.

At first, Mira resented Akros for being a demon. She herself used demon takeover magic, which allowed her to mimic the body and magic powers of demons. When she saw his reforming body and her heard his deep, dark voice in her mind she was reminded of her hidden self.

Gradually, she came to be friendly with him. Akros was now an experienced womanizer, or so he considered himself to be. Even without his charming looks or aura, he was charismatic with the way he talked to her without sounding lustful or desperate. Mira came to enjoy chatting with him, especially about human behaviors.

She would tell him about what the citizens of Magnolia did day by day, and he would compare it to things humans from other worlds did. He told her about Askr, where he interacted with heroes of different worlds that were gathered together. Akros purposefully left out the part where he destroyed the entire country.

Then came the fateful day, where Mira was organizing paperwork in Makarov's absence. She was shocked to see Akros' body nearing full restoration, with only his wings left to mend. The barrier surrounding his body took up half the room due to his size. He had his boxers on so he wasn't nude, something the system put on his body autonomously. The system was also kind enough to change the coloring and size. No doubt extracting a few souls as the price.

"Akros-kun?" Mira balked at his size. "Is-is this your true size?"

"Someone could take that the wrong way, Mira," Akros teased, his voice muffled from the barrier. She blushed cutely, crossing her arms.

"Pervert! You know I didn't mean it like that!"

"Hahaha! You're so fun to tease," He then took a serious face. "This is my true physical size. As a demon lord, I have a form called the 'True Name Liberation State'. Also known as the 'Transcendent State'. Essentially, I become bigger but my body is an ethereal mass of magic power. I lose all physical might, but my magic power swells."

"Oh," Mira made sure the door was locked behind her. She smiled at him earnestly. "Just so you know, I appreciate your honesty with everything. I can't confirm the things you say, but it doesn't seem like you're ever lying."

"...you know the feeling of when you have a secret, but you need to tell someone about it to get it off your chest?"

"Yes, very much so."

"That's how I feel regarding the information I share. I have a lot of crap in my head, knowledge of random things that pertain value to me. It eases my mind a little to share it out. I believe humans tend to do this."

"Quite often! We tend to share private things with those we hold dear, as a sign of trust. Perhaps your exposure to humans has made you act like us."

"Maybe. Some human tendencies are not so bad to adapt. For example, spooning."

"Ehh?! Why would you bring that up all of the sudden?"

"I once walked in on a man and a woman spooning in bed. I later tried it with one of my maidens. I would've never known if I hadn't been exposed to humans."

"I see... aren't they worried about you? Your maidens, I mean."

"No. Time fluctuates different in every world, as I've mentioned before. The world where they reside has an extremely slow flow of time, so they probably have yet to even realize my absence. I hope so at least."

"That must be awful."

"Hm? How so?"

"Traveling to another world, stuck here because you've lost your magic, and they won't realize you're gone in time to rescue you before your magic comes back naturally. I'm sorry."

"Don't be. This is actually rather fortunate. I needed some fresh air, but I didn't want to be away from them too long because we just had children."

"You have children? That's possible for demons?"

"Of course. Demons of the Abyss have to reproduce sexually. I'm also a special case. Most demon lords have great difficulty impregnating women, but for me it's a cakewalk."

"Because of your heritage?"

"Spot on. You seem to recall many of the things I tell you, Mira."

"Why wouldn't I? I consider you a friend, Akros-kun. Besides, your stories and experiences are very unique to what I usually hear. It's not everyday you get to talk to a demon lord such as yourself."

"You flatter me. I'm one of around a hundred demon lords in the Abyss, I think. We're not seen in mortal worlds often because we either can't stay too long, or we kill everyone. Typically both actually."

"Right," Mira's expression went somber while she stacked papers. "You must've killed many to reach your level of power. But for some reason, I sense no hostility or killing intent from you. Do you like me that much, or do you simply not want to kill me?"

"Both, although why would I want to kill someone I'm fond of? Bit of a silly question."

"I guess so... but why? I want to know, if you don't mind."

"Well, you said it yourself. I've slain millions. To become a demon lord, one must kill an insurmountable amount of foes and consume their souls. Now that I've reached this level of power, I need a break. Ten years, or maybe more if I feel like it, that I will spend here are like my vacation. Time away from the carnage and taking care of babies."

"Even though those two things are drastically different..."

"Oh, whatever."

"Hehehe!"

Mira loved his reaction to being teased. He loved her laugh. In the end both of them had smiles on their lips. They were so distracted that they didn't notice Akros' wings were fully healed. The barrier suddenly dissipated, allowing him to fall through the floor. He and Mira stared in disbelief at his body.

"I'm fully recovered?" Akros flexed his arms, feeling they were noticeably stronger prior to his time here. "I'm fully recovered!"

"Good for you! But, how are you going to get out of this room?" Mira asked. "Without breaking things, preferably."

"Well, since you asked so nicely- oh, right. I can't use my shadow magic," Akros sighed. "Sorry, Mira. I will have to walk through the door. But first, let me see if I can do anything about my weight. I have a crap ton of magic items on me."

"You mean, stored with magic? How will you access them?"

"Technically not- well, it's not my magic. I have a special separate space thanks to my mother. Even though my magic is unusable, hers should work just fine. Let's see here..."

Mira watched curiously while Akros rummaged through his inventory. Thankfully, because it was a product of Lilith's magic and not his own, the system continued to function. He wanted to check his status, but first he wanted some fresh air. Makarov's office was too bland to stay in much longer.

Damn. How much shit did I loot from Nazarick? I didn't even get it all- oh, some boots!

Mermen Shoes

+30 DEF

+20 SPD

Waterwalking: Allows wearer to walk on water.

Amphibious: Bonus speed gained when swimming or wet.

Oh? I could use these at some point, but not now. Hmm... ooh! These are whole-ass greaves!

Anti-Gravity Greaves

+100 DEF

-50 SPD

Adjustable: Will morph to fit wearer.

Reduced Mass: Wearer will experience 10% of their default mass.

That's a decent trade. Not like I'll need to be at full speed. Okay, on you go!

Akros equipped the greaves. They did in fact adjust to his size perfectly, even to his foot shape. On the inside they were soft and comfortable, but on the outside they appeared to be some high-end technological relic. He was bare-chested, but wore this almost alien-like armor. He felt like Darth Maul.

Mira gawked at his new legwear. "What on earth?"

"Anti-Gravity Greaves. It does as the name implies. My full ten ton mass should've dropped to one ton. I won't be reckless on the wood floors, so hopefully they can take it," Akros sighed. "Being heavy is good for dramatic entrances, because you can thump or make a crater or stomp real loud. But it's super inconvenient for everyday life."

"You're so funny!" Mira giggled again. "Of all things, you focus on that?"

"Is that so wrong? I need to have pride in myself somehow," He grumbled defensively. "Anyway, can you open the door for me? I'll try to fit myself through the door, but no promises. I can't even retract my wings anymore..."

"Because you use a spatial spell to do so, right? It's alright, we won't blame you for breaking things. You can pay us back with money you earn from jobs," Mira smiled darkly. "I look forward to your donations, Akros-kun."

"...You're vicious."

Akros wormed his way out the door the best he could. His shoulders were so wide he had to go diagonally through. From there, he was able to escape without damaging anything. Mira gave him light applause, making him snort.

"Good going! Oh, that's right. I have something to tell to the other guild members," She said, closing the door behind her. "Follow me!"

Akros carefully tread behind Mira as she lead him to the main hall of the Fairy Tail guild hall. Once she was there, she went behind the bar counter. "Akros-kun, what color stamp would you like?"

"Huh? Gold!" Akros was distracted by all of the stares he was receiving from Fairy Tail mages all around. Many of them were curious stares, some were fearful, others were loathsome. One black-haired young man in particular stared at him with a seething hate. Akros knew this fellow to be Gray, one of the main protagonists of the anime who had traumatic experiences with a demon of Zeref.

Akros didn't blame him much, but his appearance was no longer strictly demonic. With dragon scales and wings, bird-like talons for feet, a face too handsome for a male demon, and lavish purple hair, Akros didn't have the same demonic appearance as other demons. Even the fake demons of Zeref looked more demonic than him, he reckoned.

As he was lost in thoughts, Mira came up to him. His body was almost entire covered in scales or greaves leaving only his face, abs, and breasts with free skin. "Where do you want it? I don't think it'll stay on your scales..."

"Right breast," Akros said, crouching so she could reach. She smiled appreciatively, then pressed the stamp to his right breast as asked. "Thank you."

"Of course! Thank you for joining!" As she went to put the magic stamp back where she found it, she brought out a magic pen. "Everyone, gather around!"

All of the guild members present responded to Mira's call, forming a ring around her and Akros who did his best not to feel awkward. He was above these beings, he had to look strong, he told himself.

Mira handed the pen to Reedus, a morbidly obese artist who was somehow round like a ball with limbs sticking out. He drew in the air with the magic pen a chart, connecting names together. Murmurs rose through the mages who had gathered around.

"What is this, Mira-san?" Lucy asked.

"It's an organization chart of the Dark Guilds," Mira explained to everyone.

"When you look at it overall, there are quite a lot of them," Cana, the guild's heaviest drinker, commented grimly.

"Why?" Lucy asked again, now a little scared.

"Lately it seems their activity has increased," Mira said with a frown. "We have to strengthen the bonds between guilds."

"What's the big oval?" Gray, the ravenette who was glaring at Akros a few moments prior inquired.

"Juvia knows, it is the Baram Alliance," Juvia, a blue-haired young woman spoke. "The Baram Alliance is the most powerful force of the Dark Guilds, combining the three Dark Guilds of Oracian Seis, Tartaros, and Grimoire Heart. Each of them have a number of associated guilds, and they control the world of Dark Guilds. Then there's the guild that acts independently from the rest, Raven Tail."

Funny enough, Fairy Tail vanquishes all three of those Dark Guilds at some point. Thank you, Juvia. I know which arc of Fairy Tail I'm in now! This is the Oracion Seis arc, where Wendy and other somewhat main characters get introduced.

"...even with only six people, they're a part of the strongest magic organization," Mira was saying. Akros pushed his thoughts aside. He hadn't watched this arc in a long time, so he figured he should listen.

"About the Oracion Seis..." A voice familiar to Akros came from the guild hall entrance. Everyone swiveled to see Makarov standing stoic. "We're going to launch an attack on them."

As everyone was frozen with shock, Mira smiled warmly. "Welcome back, master! How was the regular meeting?"

"Master, what are you talking about?" Erza, a scarlet-haired knight, asked seriously.

"Oh, Akros! You're fully recovered! Good, I want you to hear this, too," Makarov gave him a nod of acknowledgement. The demon grinned in return. "At the regular meeting the other day, we discussed the recent activity by Oracion Seis. As it is not something we can ignore, we decided that some guild has to subdue them."

"You pulled the short straw again, Gramps?" Gray asked with exasperation.

"And Fairy Tail will take on that role?" Juvia added.

"No, this time the enemy is too powerful. If it were only us, then the Baram Alliance would direct their revenge to us alone. That is why we have formed an alliance ourselves. Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Cait Shelter! These four guilds will each send out members to strike those people down!"

The guild mages stood in awed surprise. An alliance between guilds was a very rare thing, as mage guilds constantly competed for popularity and job requests. More popular guilds received more job requests.

"Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza! You four will be our candidates! Pack your things and travel to Bob's villa. He's the master of Blue Pegasus, if you don't recall. Get moving!" Makarov ordered sternly. The four named mages responded quickly, leaving the guild with haste. Fairy Tail's guild master then approached Akros. "My friend! It is good to see you on your feet, and with a guild mark no less. I am happy to have you in Fairy Tail."

"Yes, well I may wrecked a part of your office. I have these greaves on the fix the issue, but when I got out of the barrier my weight was too much for the floor. I'll pay you back," Akros replied.

"Who are you?" Juvia asked him in confusion. "Juvia has never seen you before, but you know Mira-san and master?"

"Oh, I never did introduce you. Everyone, meet Akros!" Mira said, gesturing to the ten foot tall mass of scales, muscle, and metal. His devilishly attractive face and musculature got the attention of many women, including Mira herself. However, she was used to seeing his bare-chested body at this point and didn't get excited. "Akros, could you explain who you are?"

"Sure thing. For those of you who know, the heart brought to Makarov by... Levy, I think her name was? That heart was my own. Over the last month, my body has regenerated," Akros boomed, stunning the mages in the hall. Makarov nodded to confirm his words, shocking them further.

"What?" "Seriously?" "Regeneration?" Murmurs of disbelief spread like wildfire.

"What are you, immortal?" Gajeel asked dubiously.

"Yes."

""EHHH?!?!"" In classic anime fashion the entire hall was filled with cries of astonishment and surprise. Makarov coughed into his fist, earning silence from everyone.

"Akros, I would ask that you go as well. Not with them per se, but as emergency support. These foes are dangerous ones, but for the sake of their growth you should not interfere unless necessary," He said sternly.

Even though Makarov knew he was underneath Akros, he had to act as guild master in front of his mages who he considered his children. The demon knew this, and because he was only a guild member officially he would obey. He knew Makarov would never ask anything impossible or evil of him, so he had little reason to decline.

"I can do that. I'll follow them from the sky," Akros agreed, jerking a thumb at his wings. "If that's all, I'll be off."

"Please be careful, Akros-kun. And make sure they make it back safely," Mira pleaded with puppy eyes. He rolled his eyes playfully.

"Ha! Human mages are no challenge for me!" He proclaimed with pride. Then his body disappeared, followed by a sonic boom. He was gone in an instant, faster than anyone's eyes could track.

"Jeez, how fast is he?!" Gajeel complained. "Master, who is he really?!"

"A friend. Also a demon lord, but that's not as important. Human or demon, mortal or immortal, friendship is universal. Me and Akros understand each other, and we have a contract. You all are to treat as one of us, because he is one of us now!" Makarov shouted, making sure everyone heard him. Then he winked at Gajeel. "He's also an experienced womanizer. You could learn from him, Gajeel."

"Urgh..."

Akros flew from above while tracking Erza, Natsu, Gray, and Lucy in Magnolia. His eyes were extremely powerful, so watching them move from miles aloft was a piece of cake. He had unequipped the anti-gravity greaves while he flew, otherwise his wings would propel him even more. Six large strong wings were hard enough to manage, but with a tenth of his body mass they would send him even faster. Even with the speed debuff of the greaves, he didn't want to lose control midair.

While he waited for them to leave the city via train Akros opened his status, not knowing what to expect.

Okay, not bad. Not all skills are locked. That said, I should be able to use Glacial Shatter, Psychokinesis, Black Shee- nope, that's magic. What else? Production Suction, Foresight, and maybe Charm? Metamoran Fusion isn't important right now.

Plenty of options for melee battle, but no ranged forms of damage. Psychokinesis and Glacial Shatter are technically ranged damage, or can be used that way. However, I need precise ranged damage if I'm to provide support. What do I do...?

Akros snapped back to reality when he saw Erza enter a train. She must've been the last of the group to get on, as they were all out of sight. A half minute later, the train began to move. Akros followed it from the sky. As he soared, he continued to brainstorm.

With my new arsenal of weapons and Psychokinesis, I could mimic Gilgamesh. I already used his classic word 'Zashu!' after all. But that kind of ability is too overused, and too complex to try and control. What if I eat another devil fruit? So far the two I've eaten have given me great powers that exhaust mana, but don't count as magic. However, this time I want a Logia fruit. What element would I choose though?

Ice? Diamond? Fire? Lava? All of those are kind of basic, and I have magic too similar. There's lightning, but I have several lightning casters in the Legion. What if I make my own? Is it possible to create my own Logia fruit with my imagination, like how I make other stuff? Create!

He opened a system panel under the Create tab, and imagined a unique Logia fruit. One that would let him morph into any kind of firearm, mechanical tool, weapon, or tech he could imagine. At the cost of mana, he could imagine crazier things and morph into them. He called this fruit the Mecha-Mecha Fruit.

Sure enough, the system complied. This devil fruit was much more expensive than the first three including the one he made for Luane when she promoted. Those ones cost 550 souls each, but the Mecha-Mecha Fruit was a whopping 55,000 souls. He had set the material of the weapons to be what he imagined, including ammunition, so this cost was reasonable.

He created the devil fruit, which resembled a raspberry. Only, it was larger than his head, silver, and bore metallic luster. He made sure he was flying parallel to the train, and steeled his resolve. Then he took a gaping bite of the metal fruit. As per devil fruit definition, the first bite swallowed determined who absorbed all of the power.

Akros chewed resolutely. The fruit itself tasted of iron, which wasn't. However, he had tasted his own blood plenty of times so the taste of iron was quite familiar. Once he swallowed it down, he viewed his status once again.

Loaded Materials: Saiyan Blood, Tail Plating, Tremor-Tremor, Crafanc, Clone, Press-Press, Sperm Specs, Mecha-Mecha

Skills (Skills involving magic are locked): Charm, Glacial Shatter, Shadow Brand, Metamoran Fusion, Shadow Melt, Foresight, Dark Acceleration, Black Sheen, Production Suction, Flame Vortex, Demolition Beam, Psychokinesis, Cybernetic Augmentation

Yay! Now let's try this out! I should be able to replicate Dark Acceleration with this!

Akros imagined demon iron jet thrusters on his hips. Sure enough, the scales, flesh, and bones on his hips shifted and morphed to created thrusters just like he imagined. There was no pain that came with, merely an odd sensation of replacement.

Unholy Flame burst from the thrusters, and Akros' speed tripled. He yelped as his balance was thrown off. He quickly turned them off and returned his hips to normal to resume stable flight. As it was, he had the capacity to be far faster than the train miles below him. He didn't need more speed. He was happy to see his new power function correctly though. The remainder of his flight was in good spirits.

Akros spent a few days trailing Natsu's team from above. It was quite boring, but he was so excited to use his new power that he held it in. Additionally, he vastly enjoyed flying with physical wings. It was so very exciting all the time, it never got old.

Currently, he was hovering over the villa of Blue Pegasus' master, Bob. To reduce the effort he had to put into hovering, he wore the Anti-Gravity Greaves. With a lighter body he had to flap his wings ten times less often.

Finally, Natsu burst outside and ran toward the massive forest where the Oracion Seis and Nirvana, an ancient and dark magic relic, resided. Akros had placed an audio tracker on Happy's sack, so he heard everything. According to the Blue Pegasus members, the Oracion Seis' goal in the forest was to activate Nirvana. The six members, Brain, Midnight, Cobra, Angel, Racer, and Hoteye were powerful mages. The goal of the alliance was to take them down.

Akros could only scoff at their naive planning. Not only did they underestimate the power of the individual members, but they planned on non-lethal methods. Akros knew that most Fairy Tail members refused to kill, but against mages with malicious intentions...

The magicless demon listened in with his tracker and watched with his naked eyes. The alliance ran toward the forest chaotically, and when they arrived at the edge they were met by the Oracion Seis themselves. They were surprised that the Dark Guild met them in a frontal assault.

Akros watched scruntinously as the alliance floundered against the Oracion Seis. As they had underestimated the mages, the alliance was defeated quite quickly. Nobody was fatally wounded, but two hostages were taken and Erza was inflicted with venom that threatened her life. The hostages were Happy and Wendy, a blue-haired girl from Cait Shelter. She wielded healing magic which was extremely rare among humans, so the Oracion Seis abducted her.

After assessing the situation, Akros took minor action. He transformed one of his arms into a dart rifle. He created an invisible, self-destroying dart that would cure Erza without alerting anyone. It would slowly kill off the venom inside her body. Akros didn't want to make his presence known if he could help it.

"Target the right shoulder... aaaaand fire!"

With a fwee sound, the dart hurtled through the air. As it soared, the mages of the alliance recovered and kept moving. They split up into groups, while Erza laid with Lucy and Hibiki, one of the Blue Pegasus boys. He wielded an interesting type of magic, called Archive. It looked similar to a surveillance system on a computer. He was able to keep watch over the groups that had split up.

The venom spreading through Erza gradually died. Lucy and Hibiki watched on with awe and joy, thinking it was a miracle of Erza's tenacity. Neither of them perceived the dart's presence, and before Erza woke it had already withered to nothing.

Meanwhile, Akros was listening through the audio device he planted onto Happy.

"Why is... Jellal here?" Wendy's voice. Akros didn't know who Jellal was.

"Jellal... that Jellal?" Happy's voice.

"You know him?"

"Know him? That guy tried to kill Erza and everyone else! And he used the Council to fire Etherion!"

"Yeah... I heard about that..." Wendy seemed quite dejected. Akros wasn't too happy with this. He didn't know Wendy personally, or at least not yet, but she was a very lovable girl. She was also very young at the time being.

"That guy's still alive?" Happy asked in disbelief.

"This man is a ghost, haunted by ghosts..." Akros had heard this voice during the battle. This was Brain, the leader of the Oracion Seis. "A wretched idealist. But you owe him your life."

Wendy and Happy won't be killed due to plot ar- wait, this isn't the anime. But they need Wendy, and have no reason to kill Happy. I don't think I can help them from out here, but if the Oracion Seis members walk outside... no, I need to be careful. In order for these young mages to grow, I can't win their battles for them. This isn't my fight. Let's just observe. Erza was one thing, but Wendy and Happy will be saved by Natsu... in fact, I can hear him calling to them.

It was excruciating to do, but Akros remained still while Natsu and Carla, Wendy's exceed, rescued Wendy and Happy. Jellal was revived. Gray struggled against Racer, later getting assistance from Lyon, a fellow pupil of Ur, the mage who taught the two Ice Make magic. Through Lyon figuring out Racer's speed magic, they were able to defeat him.

However, the speed mage wore an explosive vest. In a suicidal last ditch attempt, he ran toward Gray, Lyon, and Lyon's companion Sherria. Akros knew this was bad, so he chose to act. He reached out a hand. Using his Psychokinesis, he grasped Racer and flung him off a cliff to get him away from the three alliance members. Midair the vest exploded, and Racer's condition was unknown. Akros was able to confirm that Lyon, Gray, and Sherria were all safe.

That was a gamble. I didn't know the range, but with a mana tank of a demon lord it seems I can reach far. There was no resistance at all either. I could've crushed the damn boy, but it's better that I don't kill. That'll lead to them questioning a third party's interference, which is me. Whoa! What is that?!

Akros was shocked to see a pillar of black and white light pierce the sky, along with the ground trembling thunderously. Black tendrils came from the earth, circling around the pillar of energy. This kept going for quite some time. Akros flicked his eyes to the left. Hibiki and Lucy defeated Angel, as well as saving Natsu from a raft that gave him perpetual motion sickness.

As of now, Erza was confronting Jellal at Nirvana. Cobra was there as well, lying in wait. Brain's location was unknown. Racer's location was unknown, but presumably dead. Angel was defeated, but alive. Hoteye was purged of his negative emotions by Nirvana's awakening, and was with Jura, a mage of Lamia Scale. Midnight was hunting down alliance mages, but not killing. In total, three of the six Oracion Seis remained active against the alliance.

Akros didn't see anyone in mortal danger. By indirectly killing off Racer, he had saved Sherria from turning dark with the influence of Nirvana's awakening. The seal breaking resulted in a surge of dark and light energy, making those who wavered between light and dark have a change of heart. This is what caused Hoteye to become an ally, and would've caused Sherria to fall in the anime. However, in this reality she did not see Lyon sacrifice himself, so she remained pure.

Then, Brain appeared at Nirvana. He stopped Jellal from destroying it, and instead awakened it. A deep tremor rang once again throughout the earth, and a massive city on six legs rose up. Akros narrowed his eyes.

The plot progresses. As it's going, things should work out just fine. I just need to make sure Natsu survives his fight with Brain- no, he's Zero at that point.

Akros used his new power to create stealth armor over himself. It ate a chunk of his mana, but he decided it was the best option. He needed to observe up close and be able to act at any time. He relocated himself in the city of Nirvana in a mere instant. He had been 3 miles away from it, but with his Mach 14 speed, it was nothing.

From above, he watched as several of the alliance mages made their way up the legs of Nirvana. Erza, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Wendy, Happy, Carla, Jura, as well as Hoteye and Jellal. The legs began to move with thunderous steps, similar to a spider. Natsu fell off, but was caught by Happy and brought back up.

The pair of best friends headed straight for Brain and Cobra at the center of Nirvana's top. Akros could only sigh at their brave but foolish idea. He had a good angle from where he was, so he was able to watch directly as Natsu and Cobra took the fight to the air with their mounts. Natsu had Happy, and Cobra had a venomous snake with wings.

"What kind of snake has wings? The fuck?" Akros murmured to himself in awe. He watched the two dragon slayers fight midair. Cobra had the upper hand, until Natsu unleashed a draconic roar that ruptured Cobra's eardrums. The Oracion Seis member was incapacitated. This fight made Akros realize something.

"I have dragon genes in my body. Will dragon slayer magic be effective against me?" He asked himself. Then he snorted. "Even if it did, the mages of this world are far too weak to contend with me, a demigod! Although god slayers also exist, they're only human. And the one demon slayer is Gray's old man, who passes on the magic to Gray. That could be trouble... but that's far out."

With that, only three Oracion Seis members remained. Hoteye and Midnight were currently facing off, but Midnight was far superior in terms of magic power. He was able to reflect almost any type of magic, meaning he could only be defeated via physical damage. Hoteye was defeated after a few minutes of struggling. Down to two members.

After that, Brain took out Jura, who sacrificed himself to block a massive explosion from hitting Natsu, Lucy, and Gray. Jura was alive, but unconscious and out of magic power. Midnight took down Jellal, then battled Erza. She had a very difficult time even attacking the odd mage. Midnight warped her armor around her continuously to bind her, then deal damage with an odd type of magic Akros couldn't figure out.

In the end, Erza was able to exploit the flaws of Midnight's reflecting magic. He tried to deploy an illusion, but she saw through it and incapacitated him. Finally, Brain was the last one left.

This is where Brain becomes Zero. I need to get a closer view, they could die if he goes all out from the start.

Akros, invisible with the Anti-Gravity Greaves on, leapt from rooftop to rooftop to close in on Zero's mana signature. He scurried around until he was behind Zero, and watched as he bombarded the remaining alliance members. None of Zero's attacks should have been lethal, but Akros was ready to take a hit if need be.

He remained inactive while trailing Zero. The white-haired mage was eventually defeated by Natsu, who had been powered up thanks to Jellal feeding him gold flame. He called it 'purgatory flame', and its appearance was very similar to Hecate's golden fire magic. Natsu and 5 other alliance mages destroyed the magic lacrimas that powered Nirvana, ultimately shutting it down.

From there, Akros retreated to the sky. All of the alliance mages were able to evacuate from Nirvana safely, so he saw no need to take action. Then he spotted a force of white-clad soldiers. These people were lead by a black-haired man with glasses. Akros knew this face to be a commander of the Magic Council's army.

The army arrested both Hoteye and Jellal for their crimes against humanity, which caused unrest within Natsu and Erza. The fire mage attempted to reclaim Jellal, but Erza shut him down with great turmoil. Akros viewed this from above, making sure no Fairy Tail members were arrested. When the army left the group alone, he started flying back to Magnolia.

When he returned to the guildhall, it was late at night. Most of the members had headed home leaving only Makarov, Mira, and a few others who were cleaning up. The barmaid greeted Akros with a bright smile.

"Welcome back, Akros-kun! How was your first mission?"

"I feel like a, what the the human term? A babysitter?" Akros heaved a sigh. The trip had been very boring for him. While the battles were somewhat entertaining, he couldn't focus his attention solely on any of them as multiple happened at once. Mira giggled as he sauntered up to the counter, where Makarov sat. "Do you mind if I sleep here tonight? I'll take a solo job tomorrow so I can buy someplace to stay."

"That won't do. You'll have a hard time working with clients alone with your appearance. Your guild mark alone won't save you from fear or prejudice that comes your way," Makarov spoke seriously, looking him in the eyes. "For tonight, you can borrow a guest room on the upper floor. Now, I overheard that Bisca and Alzack are looking to go on a bigger job request tomorrow. If you don't wake up in time, I will ask them for you."

"You'd do that for me?" Akros was taken aback by his kindness.

"Well, you kept them safe through their mission, no? I imagine there was at least one close call with death against the Oracion Seis," Makarov said grimly, before smiling gently. "Seeing as I didn't pay you directly, I'll do this much for you, my friend."

"Ha! What a precious boy!" Akros ruffled his hair, making Makarov grumble with humiliation. Mira and the other mages still around laughed mirthfully at the scene, finding it adorable. "I'll take you up on that then. Where is this room upstairs?"

"Third door from that wall," Mira pointed up with her left hand at a door on the second floor. She then leaned in and said quietly: "You'll probably have to sleep on the floor, sorry."

"Not an issue for me. Goodnight," He winked at her before hopping to the second floor. He crawled inside the room and closed the door behind him. Mira and Makarov exchanged a curious look.

"Now that I think about it, if he's here..." She trailed off.

"Then they should be on the way back. Perhaps arriving by tomorrow sometime?" Makarov furrowed his brow. "I have a feeling we're going to celebrate something. I don't know what."

The next day, Akros was woken by loud cheers and shouts. He had slept on the floor decently comfortably. By using Cybernetic Augmentation, he was able to retract his wings and tail and replace them with rubber pads. With this and a pillow beneath his head, he slept soundly on his back.

When he stepped into the upper floor of the guildhall, he found the stem of all the noise. The guild members of Fairy Tail were partying, seemingly around Wendy and Carla. Akros was a bit miffed to be woken from his beauty sleep, but figured this was a good time as ever to get to know the other guild members. With this goal in mind, he returned his tail and wings to normal and leapt back down.

Many mages stopped briefly to look at him, but most didn't stare and went back to their activities. There was singing, drinking, card games, and a whole lot of eating going on. Akros didn't want to hog the attention anyhow. However, Wendy and Carla were staring at him with curiosity and shock.

"Mister?" Wendy came up to him on her own. She got a whiff of his scent with her draconic sense of smell, and her eyes narrowed. "You smell like dragon, but also some other things I don't know. What are you, mister?"

"Wendy!" Carla berated. She didn't seem to be too surprised by Akros' appearance. "Have you forgotten your manners?"

"No worries, cat," Akros was unbothered. Carla huffed, but said nothing.

"It's nice to meet you, Wendy. I am Akros," He crouched so he was on her level. "To answer your question, I am a demon lord that is part dragon and part fallen angel."

"So you are a dragon-ish!" Wendy smiled victoriously, then made a confused face. "Wait, fallen angel? They exist?"

"Perhaps not in this world. I am from another world, and was sent here after my magic was syphoned. I cannot use magic, so I cannot leave this world."

"Oh no... I'm so sorry, Akros-san," Her voice teemed with genuine empathy. It made Akros want to hug her.

"Don't be. Enough about me anyway. I hear you're a dragon slayer? You're quite young."

"I'm twelve, I'm not that young!" Wendy cried out indignantly. Carla left her side to go chat with Erza. "Besides, Grandeeny started teaching me when I was even younger."

"Is that so? I suppose starting early is better than late," Akros admitted. "To me, twelve years is the blink of the eye. But for a human I suppose it's quite the long time."

"Eh? How old are you, Akros-san?" She asked, very curious. She had never met a demon before, so she spoke to him like he was an older man. He silently appreciated this a lot.

"Um... around 70? I'm younger than I thought," Akros said a bit subconsciously. "I feel much older, but in the end my age doesn't matter because I don't age physically anymore."

"Really? How come?"

"I am a demon lord, an immortal existence. My body will remain the same eternally if I do nothing."

"Wooooaah..."

"Cool, right? Now, I gotta talk to some other people. Why don't you do the same? I haven't been here long myself, but I can tell you that the folk here are very kind."

With that, Wendy and Akros went their separate ways. The young mage talked to some of the other younger guild members, while Akros formally introduced himself to Natsu's team and other people he knew were main characters.

"You're part dragon?!" Natsu got in his face. "Do you know where Igneel is?"

"Not a clue who that is," Akros coldly pushed his face away. "Yeesh. You need a mint, kid."

Lucy and Gray laughed as Natsu grumbled in defeat. Erza then approached Akros, jerking her head to the side. He understood immediately, following her to a quieter corner of the hall.

"Are you the one who cured me yesterday?" She cut straight to the chase. "I originally thought Wendy did it, but she tells me it wasn't her. Then there's you, and you are strange. Not to offend you, but your magic power is-"

"Syphoned. As of now, my magic aura is nonexistent," Akros cut her off with a frown. "What makes you think I cured you? Not like I could use healing magic."

How ironic, considering I possess better healing magic than Wendy. Restoration is overpowered.

"Don't play dumb. There was a needle wound in my shoulder, angling towards the sky from my laid down position. I saw a speck in the sky. It couldn't have been a bird as it was too still. With your wings, hovering should be easy, no?"

Akros was both shocked and impressed by her detective capabilities. He grinned slyly, raising his four hands in defeat. "Okay, you got me. I must say, your eyesight is exceptional. To spot me from that far..."

"Either way, you have my gratitude," Erza said genuinely. "But why were you trying to hide it? Did master ask for you to hide?"

"Right again. Makarov wanted me to be your emergency backup. I only acted when any alliance member was in mortal peril. You being poisoned obviously falls under than directive. So I cured you. Simple as that."

"Be that as it may, I owe you my life," Erza said stubbornly. "I look forward to working with you in the future."

Akros watched her walk away, thinking to himself.

I underestimated her. She's more aware than I thought. I'll have to be careful with what I try to get away with. Oh, Makarov is beckoning to me.

He joined his guild master at the bar, where two other people sat in bar stools. One was a black-haired young man with tan skin and fluffy bangs that covered one eye. Beside him was a green-haired woman with red lips and straight locks. Both were dressed in western cowboy fashion. Akros didn't realize such style existed here, and was moderately intrigued by them.

"You're Akros, huh?" Bisca asked with cheer. "I'm Bisca."

"Alzack," Alzack introduced himself curtly. "Makarov wanted us to bring you with on our next job. Before we pick one, it'd be nice to know your role in a party so we can choose a suitable job."

"Role?" Akros asked, then immediately felt stupid. "Ah. I can fulfill several positions. I can be the tank, support, damage dealer, whatever. With my speed, power, and vitality I can do it all... because I'm a demon lord."

"Right..." Bisca didn't seem totally convinced, but didn't question it.

"If you can be our tank, that'd be awesome! We specialize in reequip and shooting magic, so we fall short when it comes to durability," Alzack said eagerly. Makarov nodded in agreement as he spoke. "But now that I think about it, isn't the Fairy Tail All-Wizards Mandatory Participation 24 Hours Road Race a few days out? We should wait until after that."

"A mandatory, all-day race?" Akros deadpanned. "What maniac thought of that?"

"It's an annual event that brings us together!" Makarov defended. "Besides, you of all people shouldn't be complaining. I saw your speed yesterday. Nobody comes close to you, Akros."

"Well, I doubt humans can reach speeds of 14 times the speed of sound..."

"14 TIMES THE SPEED OF SOUND?!" Bisca, Alzack, and Makarov shouted in disbelief. Fortunately the guildhall was already filled with so much noise that nobody paid them any attention.

"I'd be even faster with my magic, but alas," Akros griped.

"I was going to ask you about that. Do you really have no magic power?" Bisca inquired with profound interest. "I have a hard time believing someone can so fast with pure physical might..."

"This is where it gets complicated," The shadow demon said with exasperation. "I went and got my magic syphoned by a lich. It's not that I don't have magic power, it just can't leave my heart. You see, a demon's magic power stems from his heart and is pumped through magic veins throughout his body. Because my mana is effectively caged in my heart, I cannot deploy magic of any kind."

"Oh..." Bisca's face turned sad, as well as Alzack's.

"It's not a big deal. It's not permanent, and I have other powers I can wield without magic. For example, I have a special kind of reequip magic. It was enchanted to my body when I was born, and doesn't use my mana. Here, look at this."

Akros reached into his inventory and drew Crafanc, the 15 foot long Imperial Gold zweihander with several curses. By itself, the sword weighed an entire ton so Akros held it indirectly with Psychokinesis for the sake of Makarov's flooring.

""Whoooa!!!"" The two young mages gawked at the blade with shock and admiration.

"This Crafanc, a sword made of Imperial Gold. This is actually one of the few things that can kill me permanently," Akros explained. "Imperial Gold is an ancient magical ore that can extinguish even gods. I've slain several immortal beings with this edge. With weapons such as this to add to my strength, I don't need magic."

"Sounds good to me! But how is it floating?" Bisca asked, earning a nod from Alzack.

"Oh, Psychokinesis. An ability of mine. Not magic. Don't ask, your brains will explode if I tell you."

""Okay..."" They were already processing a lot of new information. Makarov was as well, although he already knew of Akros' lack of magic.

"Anyway, we're more than willing to have you tag along!" Alzack said after clearing his throat. "In the meantime, I'll explain what the race is about."

A couple days later, Akros was at the starting area for the race with Bisca and Alzack, as well as the entire guild. He had spent the nights up to this day swimming in the lake beside Magnolia, so he didn't borrow the guild room again.

"We run somewhere and run back. Pretty simple," Akros said, his hands on his hips. "Man, this isn't fair to the rest of you."

"Oh, can it. We already knew first place was impossible with Jet being here," Bisca snorted in response, but in a playful manner. "We just can't be last. Our goal is just that."

"Yup," Alzack said dejectedly. "This will be torturous for most of us, but in the end it's a bonding experie-"

"Quiet, everyone!" Makarov's voice rang through the crowd of mages and spectators through a magic speaker. "All members of Fairy Tail! A wizard is one with strength of mind and body! I wish for you to utilize those powers to the utmost in today's competition! The rules are simple! You will run as fast as you can from the start line, then head along the appointed course, to Mt. Ivor! This year, I have left Wyvern scales at the top of Mt. Ivor! You will take one of those scales, and return within 24 hours! I will not accept any dropouts. If you are a Fairy Tail wizard, then you will run the distance all the way to your next job tomorrow! Furthermore, I am imposing a new regulation this year at the urging of many... flying magic is forbidden! Akros, you cannot use your wings! Other than that, all magic is allowed!"

The crowd directed their attention to Akros' towering form. He replaced his wings with vertial-slit shaped thrusters, to avoid accidentally flying and as a backup in case he couldn't run on whatever terrain awaited. The mages quickly turned their attention back to Makarov as he resumed speaking.

"And of course, the person who comes in last will face a punishment of which there is nothing scarier on the planet!"

This was received with many shudders and nervous murmurs throughout Fairy Tail's mages. The announcer called everyone to the starting line. Akros let himself be in the back of the mass, without a tinge of urgency whatsoever. Makarov didn't fail to notice this while he waited for more to step up.

"Let's see how fast he can cross the distance. His back... what an interesting power," He then got closer to the speaker. "Ready! Go!"

Jet immediately activated his speed magic, blowing everyone back with a powerful cloud of dust. Natsu was the first to recover, and started running with flaming fists acting as thrusters. It was then Akros made his move.

He leaned forward, then propelled himself forward with all of his might. With this, a shockwave far mightier than the one Jet caused knocked everyone back down to the ground. The announcer was shocked, and called out a new runner-up for the winner of the race.

Using Foresight, Akros had weaved between people and around Natsu. He passed Jet on the way, disorienting him as well. He had no clue how far the mountain was, but with a straight path he was set. He hadn't ran at full speed in a long time. It was oddly exhilarating to compete with humans, even though his victory was a guarantee.

He reached the mountain in less than a minute. He snatched a Wyvern scale, and turned 180 degrees. To make his path back even clearer, he could simply run along the craters he left behind. Even with a tenth of his original mass, the force he pushed himself off with was harsh on the earth.

As Akros ran back, he found that Jet was a tenth of the way to the mountain with Natsu and some others much farther behind. Then he started to see the magic traps, and stopped briefly to assess the altered environment. Ironically, he stopped beside Bisca, Evergreen, and Max, who were caught in a rune trap as per Freed's courtesy.

"Uh, what are you doing?" He asked, trying hard to not laugh. The three trapped mages were speed-reading through what looked to be tomes. They dropped the books and gawked at him.

"H-how!?" Evergreen screamed in disbelief. Akros was getting tired of such cries, but they were reasonable given these were humans with earthly limits.

"Is there some way I can bust you out? I feel bad."

"Probably not, the runes are absolute," Evergreen sighed. "Freed must've set these up yesterday."

"That so? What if I just punch it?"

"There's no way that'll work, idi-"

"Hidora no kiba!" Akros punched with all four hands at once. The rune barrier shuddered violently, but didn't break. Evergreen, Bisca, Max, and Erza who was running by froze as Akros began punching at speeds they couldn't see. "WRRRRYYYYYYYY!!!"

The barrier fractured and shattered loudly against Akros' repetitive punches. He gave the no longer trapped mages a thumbs up, before heading back to the starting line.

"What a monster..." Max said fearfully. "I can't believe someone broke Freed's runes with raw force."

"I'll thank him later! Let's move!" Bisca grunted. She got to her feet and resumed running, followed by Evergreen and Max. Erza had already left the scene.

Akros made it back to the starting zone shortly after that encounter. The announcer, some blonde named Jason, was screaming with excitement at Akros' performance and deemed him the 'absolute winner' due to his time.

"What ridiculous speed..." Makarov commented. He, Mira, and Jason were about to head back to the guild hall to relax while they gave commentary, but Akros had already arrived.

"Akros-kun?!" Mira ran up to him. "You got a Wyvern scale, right?"

"Uh, yeah. Lookey," He held it up in one of his palms. "Where you worried I would forget or something?"

"Well, maybe..." She mumbled, averting her eyes. "You were going so fast, I thought you would go off course, much less grab a scale."

"Haha! You shouldn't worry about me," Akros was very amused by her concern. "I'm quite the formidable opponent when it comes to competitions. I love winning."

"Congratulations. Although I suppose this wasn't that much effort for you," Mira murmured. "Well, why don't you come with us and spectate?"

A whole 24 hours later, second place was taken by Happy and third by Wendy. Akros could only facepalm as the fastest five tripped and crashed right before the finish line, and got trampled by the rest of the guild. Erza managed to escape from the ground, but in the end Jet, Gray, Natsu, and Gajeel shared last place.

"Unbelievable..." Was all Akros could comment on the result. After himself, Jet was the fastest person in Fairy Tail.

The next day, he met up with Bisca and Alzack at the request board, where job papers were hung for mages. They would then take the request to Mira, who would keep tabs on where everyone went. If she was unavailable, then Makarov himself.

"How about this one?" Alzack pointed at a flyer. "Find a man's lost dog for 4,000 jewel!"

Akros couldn't read this world's letters at all, but the numbers were identical to English numbers. That said, the only thing he could discern on any request was the pay.

"Leave that for someone weaker. I would prefer a job with violence!" Bisca said, twirling a shotgun. Alzack sighed in defeat. Akros, however...

Holy shit she's so hot. I have no shortage of bitches, but damn... this is a woman who I can shoot with!

"If you insist, then look at this one. An extermination of insect monsters attacking farmland for 300,000 jewel," The cowboy read. Bisca and Akros exchanged a rueful smirk.

""That's the one!""

Mira had no qualms with them taking this job, but she warned Akros to be careful with his power. Specifically warning him not to overdo it with his strength and destroy the land he was meant to save. She thought he'd brush her off, but he took her warning seriously. After all, he was slightly worried he'd get too excited and destroy everything with Glacial Shatter. That skill could not be used.

"Oh, by the way," Akros got their attention as they left the hall. "I have acquired a means of transportation. Behold!"

From his inventory, he summoned a massive tank made of demon iron with blood mercury treads. It was specifically fashioned after the German VK 72.01 K, yet larger than the original model. The cannon was replaced with a 200mm howitzer along with a machine gun on the side of the turret. Featuring an autonomous sentry mode, drive-by firing mode, and a fully manual mode.

The demon iron mainframe was enchanted to weigh significantly less than it should. Normally the tank would easily break 160 tons. However, with tech similar to that of his greaves Akros was able to cheat his way out of this. The tank was a miraculous 3 tons, despite its appearance.

Akros popped open the turret and climbed in. "Hop in! I'll explain it on the way!"

"Do you even know where we're going?" Alzack asked, getting past his awe of the vehicle.

"No, but there's a GPS function in this thing! Just say the location and it'll lead us there!" His voice echoed from the inside of the iron machine.

Bisca and Alzack exchanged a shrug. They had little luggage thanks to their reequip magic, and because this job was meant to be a one-day thing. They climbed in through the turret and it closed automatically. When fully inside, they were shocked to see it was rather nice looking.

The interior was designed similar to modern automobiles Akros drove in his previous life. Bisca and Alzack had seat belts in their cushioned seats, as well as armrests, a seat adjuster, and a cooler with food and drink. Akros himself sat in the way front. He was strapped into a seat and was laid back. His head was covered by a helmet that plugged into the mainframe. The commands were set by voice, so only Akros could drive.

Additionally, the hyper-powerful engine and all other systems including the restocking cooler was fueled by his magic power. Because he couldn't exert it in the form of magic, why not use it to power a vehicle to avoid pollution? His mana restored itself over time as it usually did, so there was no harm. If anything, he needed to burn it so he wouldn't overflow with mana.

By putting on the helmet, his mana began to be drained and his mind was sent video of the tank in third person. This was made possible by a drone that was deployed when the helmet was worn, and would follow the tank to provide video feed. It was also made of demon iron as well as invisible after deployment, so it was relatively safe.

Once the engine started and they began moving slowly through the streets of Magnolia, Akros began to explain his creation. Of course, he didn't mention that it cost 120,000 human souls. His mortal soul count reached 1,514,950.

"This is something I made over the last few nights. This tank is powered and operates off of magic power, specifically my own. No one else can drive this vehicle. Additionally, this saps a great deal of mana if I go fast or start shooting the howitzer. Even I can't be careless with this bad boy's mana consumption. Now, tell me our destination."

"Um..." Alzack was in shocked awe, unable to piece together words.

"Petalriver Town," Bisca said. She was comprehending Akros' explanation very well. From what she understood, this vehicle was very similar to magicmobiles that were popular among mages in Fiore.

The GPS heard her voice and calculated the route swiftly. A couple seconds later, path was highlighted in Akros' third person view of the tank. Once he was out of Magnolia, he accelerated to 200 miles per hour. Bisca and Alzack could hardly feel any change, but with their heightened mage senses they knew they had sped up. The dirt road they were taking was very flat, so there was no bumps in the ride.

"How can you see?" Alzack asked timidly, his respect for Akros taking leaps and bounds. "Is there a visual spell?"

"Similar. I can see the tank from outside," Akros spoke. "At our current speed, we'll be there in less than an hour."

"What?! But Petalriver town is 150 miles away!" Bisca exclaimed. "Just how fast is this thing?"

"The hull and other large components have been enchanted to be a fraction of their normal weight. The engine was made to propel the full weight of the tank, so when you reduce that weight..."

"It goes faster," Bisca finished. "How on earth did you make this so fast?"

"..." Akros went quiet. Alzack gave her a look, silently telling her to stop asking questions.

The rest of the ride went smoothly. The Petalriver locals were shocked to see a massive metal tank pull into their village, but the Fairy Tail insignia on the front eased them quickly. Their anxiety quickly turned into celebration.

"Fairy Tail's here! "We're saved!" "Finally, my kids can eat again!"

The tank stopped, and the turret popped open. Bisca and Alzack's appearance reassured many. Akros had them go to meet the client while he waited in the tank. He knew his figure would inspire terror. Plus, he intended to use the tank to help kill the insects.

In the meantime, he looked around at Petalriver village with his aerial camera. It was a beautiful place, albeit small. Most of the homes were made of brick and lumber in eastern style, and behind the town hall was a large river. Cherry blossom trees lined this river and covered the surface with pink petals. All in all, very easy on the eyes.

Around half an hour later, Bisca and Alzack returned to the tank.

"What's the scoop?" Akros asked from inside, still plugged in. The two young mages got inside before answering.

"The farmland has become a nesting ground for insect monsters. We need to exterminate them all and destroy the nest. It'll get messy..." Bisca sighed.

When they arrived a mile away from their destination, Akros was taken aback by the scenery. The insect monsters were not only massive, but they bore red magic crystals in their exoskeletons. They were shaped like ants, spiders, and scorpions. All of their shells were black with red crystals popping out without any patterning. Once Akros got within a mile, the bugs were alerted by his tank's presence.

"Okay! Let's see how this thing fires..." Akros licked his lips, aiming the howitzer giddily. Bisca was also quite excited to see the massive cannon fire, but from inside she wouldn't see it in action. She sulked in her seat while Alzack broke into a cold sweat.

I get the feeling Akros has a passion for destruction... Alzack thought worriedly. Bisca seems to agree with this. In fact, they already get along quite well due to their similar interests from what it seems. With his physique, power, and looks, how can I compare to him? I want to tell Bisca how I feel soon...

As Alzack drowned in his anxiety, Akros slaughtered slews of the magical arthropods. The 200mm howitzer fired armor-piercing shells, penetrating the exoskeletons of the monsters and shredding their innards. It reloaded and fired every half second, which was a ridiculously high rate of fire for the howitzer's caliber.

However, the horde he was shooting at was not getting any smaller. He realized that more bugs were approaching due to the gunshots. He popped open the turret hatch.

"Out! We need more firepower!" Akros ordered. The two were quick to react. In a few seconds they were standing on either side of the tank, firing magic bullets from specially crafted mage firearms. Bisca wielded a semi-automatic rifle, and Alzack shot a large revolver. Their offensive power was each equal to the howitzer due to their gunning magic.

"Gunning Magic: Wind Rounds!" Bisca used penetrating rounds that would explode outward with wind magic. With this spell she was able to not only pick off insects, but disorient those around the victim by blasting them into the air or to the side.

"Gunning Magic: Corrosive Rounds!" Alzack cast a spell that turned his bullets into acid bombs. Upon hitting the shells of the monsters, his bullets splashed outward like water balloons. The fluid would then melt the exoskeletons of the insects and eat away at their innards. This resulted in the bugs either being unable to move without their shells holding them together, or simply dying.

With them outside of the tank, Akros resumed firing with the howitzer. He continued to pour mana into the circuits to keep it firing at a consistent speed. With three barrels to exterminate, the bug horde wasn't able to get close quickly. They gradually crawled forward, trampling over the corpses of their brethren.

"They're pushing up!" Alzack called out with slight fear in his voice.

"Akros, we're losing ground!" Bisca grunted, not letting up. She and Alzack were starting to run out of mana, but their pride as Fairy Tail mages wouldn't let them stop now.

"I can see that! Hold the line for a second, I'm coming out!" Akros yelled back, taking the command helmet off his head.

The insects surged for a brief moment as the howitzer ceased fire. Then out of nowhere, they turned 180 degrees and fled. Akros hopped out of the tank just in time to see them go.

"They must be retreating under their queen's orders. We must follow them to track down their queen!" He roared. He stored his tank in the system then grabbed Bisca and Alzack. "Hold on tight! I'll get us there faster!"

Neither of them were able to complain verbally as they were carried at speeds higher than they thought possible through the air. Akros zipped on his wings, tracking the bugs from above. They were all gathering around a massive hole in the ground, several miles from the spot where Akros had parked the tank. Rather than enter it, they climbed onto each other to form a shield covering the hole.

"Pesky shits..." Akros landed a couple hundred feet away, setting the two dizzy mages on their feet. "Sorry about that, but now we've found their nest."

"Uguuu..." Bisca keeled over, clutching her gut. "Is this what Natsu feels like?"

"I'm gonna hurl..." Alzack said moments before vomiting onto the ground.

Akros coldly ignored their plight. Instead, he took an idea he had from one of his favorite movies. He slowly tread towards the nest entrance while transforming his head into a massive cannon. The barrel's interal width was no shorter than 300mm and it extended for 9 feet in front of his body. The firing mechanisms behind his neck and shoulders balanced the weight. His eyes were morphed into cameras on the sides of the barrel, zoomed in on the mass of insects.

High Explosive Anti-Tank shells, 300 millimeter edition!

With an ear-shattering boom, the cannon fired. A trail of smoke was left in the air by the shell as it spun through the air. It tore through several insects before exploding outward with a blast of Unholy Flame. The insect shield over the nest quickly became a cloud of ash and dust. The dirt around the nest entrance was scorched.

Bisca and Alzack lowered their hands from their ears to gawk at the scene before them. Meanwhile, Akros was feeling very triumphant as his head reverted to its normal organic state.

I feel like Lockdown from Transformers. I thought my memories of Transformers would be useless in an age of magic, but that is no longer the case thanks to the system's creation! I love you, Lilith!

"Akros, what just happened? Your head..." Alzack inquired uneasily, his voice now hoarse from throwing up.

"Yeah. That's no normal magicless technique. Are you part machine?" Bisca seemed less bothered by it, and more curious.

"It's... complicated. I can transform my body into machinery using mana. It's not magic, my mana is merely the price I pay each time I utilize the ability," Akros explained reluctantly. "I may be able to restore my magic power with it, but that may require taking the magic power of others. I would prefer to do that against monsters and not people, which is why..."

"Why you wanted this job? I suppose that's reasonable enough," Bisca nodded in understanding. "Wouldn't you agree, Alzack?"

"I guess. It's still a bit surreal. Your abilities, I mean," He said, shuffling his feet awkwardly. "Psychokinesis, reequipping, god-like speed and strength, and now this morphing gun stuff? Is this what it means to be a demon lord?"

"No. I'm unique among my kind. That's all you need to know for now," Akros marched toward the nest. "I'm heading inside. Follow me if you wish. It will be dangerous."

"..." Bisca and Alzack exchanged a brief glance.

"We're coming with you!" "Yeah, don't count us out!"

Akros was surprised by their courage, but didn't let it show. He leaned over the edge of the nest entrance, and found himself gazing into a large cavern. In the sides were several tunnels, were more insects out from.

"Actually, you two should remain here. Make sure none escape the nest while I find the queen!" Akros turned to face them. "I don't mean to be bossy, but this is too dangerous for you two. I can't fight all that well while protecting others due to my destructive habits."

"No, you're just looking out for us. Normally I would be angry, but you're definitely a lot older than we are and much more experienced," Bisca gave him a honest smile. "Since you asked nicely, we'll wait here. We're low on mana as it is."

Alzack nodded in compliance, also smiling. They both seemed a bit exhausted from the shooting earlier now that Akros looked at them closer. He leapt down into the nest entrance, and began his search. As he fell he unequipped the Anti-Gravity Greaves, allowing him to crash down with his full mass. He landed on top on a spider monster, crushing its body instantly.

"Come at me, zashu!" Akros bellowed while cracking his knuckles.

He tore the bugs apart with his bare hands, feet, and tail. They didn't use magic and their physical might was that of a low-rank demon at best. Needless to say, these were literal bugs compared to Akros.

This is so fun! To rip and tear with my bare hands! Wait, what are the magic crystals doing?

Akros stood upon a pile of insect monster corpses in no time. His body was soaked in gore. The flow of monsters had stopped for the moment, allowing him to direct his attention elsewhere. He noticed how the red magic crystals on the dead insects seemed to hum. He tore a large piece off of a scorpion monster and placed it in his inventory for a better examination.

Magic Power Crystal

+10 MAG DMG

Description: A cluster of mana. Many monsters possess these as extremities if their hearts cannot hold their magic. Can be used to amplify magic, power magical items, and restore magic power. To amplify, merely hold it in some form. To restore, consume it.

Doesn't say how to use it in magical items... but that's not the point here! Maybe this can break my seal!

With a burning sense of hope, Akros tossed the crystal chunk in his mouth. It had a consistency similar to ice and was without flavor. He crunched it up and swallowed. For a while he waited for any tangible difference. Nothing. He checked his status to be sure.

Skills (Skills involving magic are locked): Charm, Glacial Shatter, Shadow Brand, Metamoran Fusion, Shadow Melt, Foresight, Dark Acceleration, Black Sheen, Production Suction, Flame Vortex, Demolition Beam, Psychokinesis

Magic (Locked, Seal at 99.99%): Shadow, Unholy Flame, Restoration, Violet Frost

Gah! Almost nothing! But it's something. These pests won't be enough, but they have made me aware of my goal in this world now. I must hunt monsters to restore my magic! Hopefully I can use small amounts of magic after I weaken the seal somewhat...

Akros ate the magic crystals of all the monsters he slew from then on, and was careful not to destroy them when attacking. For a quick, clean kill he typically spiked a monster's head with the back of his hand.

Due to the etherium plating on that part of his hands, these strikes were extremely powerful. One hand was more than enough to obliterate the head of any of the insect monsters. Fortunately they couldn't live headless like some other insects.

"Whew!" Akros huffed after he slew the 300th giant bug. His seal percentage had decreased to 98.10%. Not every monster had magic crystals dense enough to survive a single hit from Akros, even when he held back. He sighed in irritation. "Strength ain't everything."

The tide of bugs halted after the 300th. It seemed as though the hive queen realized that her nest was under attack, and likely gathered her soldiers close to her. Akros stood still and listened for clicks, until he was able to discern which tunnel lead to the queen. However it was dead silent. Not a peep was made by the monsters.

Akros transformed his hand into a sensor. Where his finger pointed was the indication zone, a straight line a mile long. If the monsters where that direction, his finger would glow white. A simple but efficient method of detection.

He pointed his finger at each side tunnel, and quickly found which one to investigate. With a sonic boom, he traversed deeper inside the nest. It took him only a few seconds to reach the queen's lair.

A vast, open cavern full of dark red magic crystals, as if denser versions of the ones he ate from the bugs. Hundreds of those same monsters lay in wait. Tens of thousands of eggs lay in rows around what seemed to be a spider queen demon.

Akros' eyes bulged. What in the world was a demon of the Abyss doing here? Was she creating special offspring with the magic crystal cave as incubation room? She saw his appearance and shrieked in fear. The insect monsters scurried toward Akros at her terrified command. They hissed loudly, seeming angry that he dared challenge their queen.

Akros was done playing with the bugs. He killed them all in a flash, then appeared before the spider queen. She was taller than him and had a decent magic aura. He estimated she was on the higher end of middle-rank. She bowed down before him, trembling with fright.

"Y-your Excellency, what can this lowly spider do for you?"

"Your Excellency? Hahahaha!" Akros laughed boisterously. "It's been a long time since I've been called that. You spider queens are all the same. When you fall behind in magic power, you try to utilize what little sex appeal you have."

"I-I am more than willing t-t-to serve you, Your Excellency!" She pleaded.

"Hmph. Stand up, then. Then perhaps I shall deem you worthy..." Akros spat. He knew spider queens had the potential to possess very attractive human upper halves. Ulvone was such an example. Before he modified her body, she still had enormous boobs. So, he was somewhat curious to see this one's appearance.

The spider queen stood straight, revealing her upper body in full. She had chocolate skin, matching her exoskeleton below. She had bright yellow hair, full pink lips, and blue human-like eyes. To top it off, she was totally flat.

"Kinda cute..." Akros yielded, pleasantly surprised. "Alright, take it in your mouth."

Twelve ejaculations later, he finally killed her. His lust was totally erased thanks to the tight wetness of her throat and her adorably angry expression. His mercy came in the form of his tail piercing separating her lower and upper halves. He kept her upper half in his inventory, as he did find her quite attractive. He'd base his next Legion member, if morphed that was, on her.

However, he had to misshape her a bit in order to extract her demon heart. It was still full of mana, as she was unable to cast magic against him because of his speed. She simply didn't bother trying, and let her fate come with the blind hope of being spared.

After consuming her heart, and most of the dark red magic crystals in the cave, he finally left. He didn't consume all of the magic crystals, or the mana within the land would plummet. As it was much of it had left. Akros' seal was now down to 96.98%, so he was satisfied. He wasn't in a rush to get his magic back as it was.

As he was finished cleaning his body, he heard a feminine scream from outside the cave system. Instantly he kicked into high gear and raced toward where Bisca was. He rushed to grab her as fast as he could, and took to the sky. Once he was a couple hundred feet in the air with her in his arms, he observed the situation.

There were no monsters nearby. Instead, there was a man with a bloody shovel standing over Alzack. The young mage was bleeding profusely from the head, and his neck was twisted at a disgusting angle. Veins bulged on Akros' forehead when he pieced it together.

"You!!" He swooped down, setting Bisca on the ground before crashing before the homicidal farmer. "What have you done?!"

The farmer was an old man, somewhere in his 50s. He had gray hair tied in a ponytail, and had on denim overalls and a dirty white shirt. He was trembling as he stared at Alzack's corpse with shovel in hand. His eyes were wide, bloodshot, and wet.

"M-my family was killed by western scum!" The man said shakily, his lips stretching into a smile void of sanity. "Now they come to my land. It's as if the gods were telling me to take revenge-!"

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Akros shouted, silencing him. "Yes, he might've been a westerner, but he was also a mage of Fairy Tail! He came here to help you, damn it! He could've easily killed you, but he didn't want to hurt you, so you killed him in cold blood. What now? Would you kill her too?"

"Yes! All western scum shou-" Akros cut him off with a genuine scowl of rage.

"Should die? What for? Do you think vengeance will resurrect your dead family? You're clearly insane, so..." Akros grabbed the man's head. He thrashed and hit Akros' arm, but his strength was not able to amount any damage. "...I'll put you out of your misery."

With a sickening crunch, Akros clenched his hand. He tossed the corpse away and knelt before Alzack.

"No heartbeat. His neck must've been broken from the impact," He cursed under his breath while storing Alzack's body. It was then he had to face the worst product of this incident. "Bisca..."

She knelt on the ground, weeping hysterically. The demon rubbed her back in an attempt to soothe her, but it didn't have any visible effect. She continued to bawl loudly. At some point she climbed into his arms, seeking his warmth and company. She took several minutes to calm down, and clung to him tightly.

He stored the reward money in his inventory. Bisca went to get it alone, and managed to get a 100,000 jewel bonus out of the client's sympathy for the depressed girl.

He said nothing during the ride back to Fairy Tail. He had nothing to say. As cold-hearted killer who had slain millions of humans, he didn't have the smallest clue of how to comfort one. The best he could do was make sure she comfortable. Every now and then, he'd use Foresight to see around his body inside the tank instead of the camera feed. He was afraid of her turning suicidal.

"Hey, Akros...?" Bisca's voice was raspy, barely audible.

"What is it, Bisca?"

"Thank you... for everything..."

"Don't thank me. I failed to protect him."

"No... it's not your fault... or mine... he... Alzack didn't want to hurt anyone... he told me to stand back... while he tried to talk to that asshole... and then...!"

"Shhh. I'll tell you what, Bisca. Why don't we keep this a secret?"

"Huh?"

"We'll hold a funeral for Alzack, but say he died to a monster. He wanted to believe that old guy was a good person, right? So let's not continue the cycle of hatred. As you saw with that man, he hated Westerners because they took his family. If you hate farmers or whoever you choose to blame because he killed Alzack, how are you any different from that murderer?"

"..."

"I know I'm asking a lot, but for your own sake, please. I won't let you destroy yourself out of hate."

"...fine. But I want the funeral to be private. Me, you, master, and a few others. No one else."

"Of course."

The two of them split the original 300,000 jewel in two, then spent the remaining 100,000 on Alzack's tombstone. Bisca invited Akros, Makarov, and a handful of other guild mages to the private funeral. The air was thick with regret and sadness, a stench Akros couldn't stand. He ended up leaving the procession early.

The next day, Akros was drinking beer at the bar while talking to Mira. He was extremely quiet, which was very unbecoming of him. She had learned of Alzack's death from Makarov, and was deeply concerned over Bisca's mental state. What she didn't expect was Akros to be in a state of shock.

"I was a fool, plain and simple. I left them alone while they had no mana. How could I be so stupid?" His voice was cold, his expression blank.

"Akros-kun..." Mira laid her hand on top of his plated one in an effort to soothe him. "...you shouldn't blame yourself. This happens, more often than you think. Besides..."

"Besides what? You didn't expect me to mourn a human?" He snarled, his eyes gleaming dangerously. She took a frightful step back, intimidated by his glare.

"N-no! I didn't mean that!"

"Tch!" Akros scoffed, standing. He chugged the rest of the mug before turning away.

"Akros-kun!" Mira called out to him as he stormed out of the guild hall. He loud thudding footsteps and rigid posture got the attention of a certain blue-haired girl.

"Mira-san, what happened?" Wendy asked curiously. Her innocent expression told Mira what she needed to know. "Why is Akros-san so upset?"

Mira sighed, a bit stressed out. "It's nothing important. He'll get over it."

"..." Wendy didn't believe her, but was respectful of social boundaries. "Anyway, I was thinking of taking a job soon..."

Bisca rented an room in Fairy Hills, an apartment complex that was located close to Fairy Tail on top of a hill. With her door locked, she was pacing around her room. She was past the point of tears, and was now thinking of what to do next. She wouldn't need to take another job for a month or so, so she had time to do other things.

She felt awakened to reality after Alzack's death. It was then she realized the frailty of human flesh. Alzack was not a weak mage, but he was killed by an ordinary man. She began to grow an irrational fear that her fate would be the same. She'd take a job, then either get murdered or worse because of her lacking defensive capabilities.

This was her problem. She had no talent with defensive types of magic such as barriers, molding magic, or evasive techniques. She had never needed them before, as she and Alzack usually took smaller jobs that held lower risk.

Now, she felt that she must gain some way to defend herself or guarantee her escape. But how? Learning another type of magic could take years. Improving her physical strength to allow for better maneuvers wouldn't be much faster. Then it hit her.

Akros. This otherworldly demon lord hybrid who continued to do things that even mages would describe as insane or miracles. How could someone lift a massive sword like he had without magic? His actions, no matter how she sliced it, made him stand out as a higher being. With his augmentation abilities, she wondered if he could help her become stronger.

Just as she had that thought, a knock came from her door. She flew around the room, making sure it was presentable before opening the door.

Crawling on his hands and knees was Akros, looking quite uncomfortable. "Can I come in? This hallway is too shallow."

"Huh? Er, sure..." Bisca was startled to see him. She was expecting one of the girls from the guild, such as Erza, to come and see her. Speak of the devil and he shall appear, she thought.

Akros was able to stand at his full height in her apartment. Once he was in the room, Bisca locked the door again. He sat on the floor beside her bed, patting the mattress. "Sit."

"This is my apartment..." She weakly retorted. She ended up doing as told, and sat beside him on her bed. "So? Why are you here?"

"I wanted to talk to you, now that the shock has passed. This has been... enlightening to you, has it not?"

"Wha- how?"

"How what?"

"How did you know? Can you read minds, too?"

"No. Thank goodness I can't. The imagination of some folk scares me." He shuddered, remembering some of the things he used to see online as a boy.

Bisca had to fight a smile. "But you predicted my train of thought almost exactly. How?"

"It was to be expected. By losing someone close to you, you become aware of things you never noticed before. Happens to everyone. When I lost my first love, I became much more aware of my feelings."

"Your first love?"

"Decades ago, when I was a weak low-rank demon around your size. It's a long story, but she exposed me to romantic love."

"Oh... how touching..." Bisca twirling a lock of her green hair absentmindedly. "I've never been with a man before."

"Really? But you're gorgeous."

"Oh, stop!"

"I mean it! You know how much effort it is taking me not to stare at you right now?"

"Uh... why would you be staring?"

"You- heavens above, Bisca. Your shirt has only one button done. You're giving me a lot to look at right now."

"Wha- eh?!" She looked down and noticed he was right. How she didn't notice this earlier, she had no clue. She covered her chest with her arms with a cherry red face. "Pervert! You could've said something sooner!"

"Really? I thought it was intentional," Akros teased, smirking. "When you let a man in your room with your chest exposed, people are going to assume things."

"There wasn't anyone else in the hallway, was there?!" Bisca's cheeks got redder and her breathing picked up pace. "Akros?!"

"No, silly. You're adorable when you're flustered, you know," Akros grinned. His plan was working.

His idea to cheer Bisca up was to distract her. With what? Himself. With his natural charm and experience with sweet talk, he knew how to get her mind off of Alzack. He wasn't necessarily interested in her, but she was attractive and in need of a friend. He simply went with the flow, and see what would happen.

"Shut up," Bisca grumbled, slapping his shoulder. Even though it was a light touch, she could feel how sturdy his scaled frame was. This reminded her of her ideas from earlier. Her blush faded. "Akros, I have a... request."

He noticed how she lost her flustered energy, and got serious. "Go on."

"Is it possible... for you to, um..." Bisca got anxious from his focused stare. "...e-empower me somehow?"

"..." Akros' eyes widened. He was expecting her to ask him to be her partner for future jobs, or something smaller. "Why?"

"I wanna live without the constant fear of dying. As a human, that's almost impossible-"

"False. It depends on the way you view life."

"That's rich, coming from an immortal entity."

"...fair enough. As you were saying?"

"I wanna get stronger. I need to have some kind of defensive tactic to keep myself alive."

"So... what? You're being quite vague. You want a physical enhancement, a new type of magic, to forsake your humanity, or what?"

"Y-you're okay with this?" She blinked in confusion. "I thought you'd be against me changing my body..."

"You wouldn't be the first human I've made into a demon."

"Whaa...?"

"This will be our secret," Akros went into the Create tab of his system. "I can make you more powerful while letting you stay human, or make you a demon, or a dragon, or whatever the hell you want."

"...why?" Bisca looked down, her hair falling to cover her eyes. "What do you gain from this...?"

"Why? Well, I may recruit you into the Shadow Legion when I eventually leave this world if I make you a higher life form. I could use a sniper in my ranks."

"Shadow Legion? Higher Life form?"

"The Shadow Legion is my elite force of demons, nephilim, and fallen angels. It's an all-female unit. You'd fit in just fine if you were a higher life form. Humans can't survive in the Abyss, which is where I and the Shadow Legion reside."

"Oh, okay. So you'll power me up, at the price of my service? How's that going to work with Fairy Tail?"

"We can remain as guild members for as long as you want. I'm not aging, and I can extend your lifespan by a few millennia. But if I do this, you'll join my inner circle and the Shadow Legion. You'll be my partner here in this world."

"Um..." Bisca fluttered her eyes with a bashful smile. "I wouldn't mind..."

"...!" Akros wanted to scream.

It's like I don't even have to try anymore. I get hoes in rows by doing nothing. I didn't even mean partner romantically!!

"I wasn't talking romantically, you know..." He sighed. She blushed and hid her face in her hands, extremely embarrassed. "Anywho, I'll let you pick your poison. Describe to me what you want. Dragon, demon, fallen angel, nephilim, Saiyan, something else...?"

"Um, what exactly are those?"

Akros spent the next two hours explaining in deep detail what the higher races are and what they were capable of, including Saiyans. He made sure she ate and drank during this time as well. Bisca spent quite some time pondering her options. She then explained what she wanted, making sure to be specific with her body features.

"So, a fallen angel with my augmentation ability and immense physical strength, while maintaining an appearance very similar to your current one?" Akros summed up her request.

"Yeah. I hope that isn't too much," Bisca felt awful for requesting so much, but he didn't seem to mind one bit. "You've really done this a lot before, huh?"

"How'd you figure?"

"Your face says it all. How do I say this...? You have the expression as if you know exactly what you're doing."

"Hm. I suppose that isn't a bad guess. I've made 7 humans into demons in the past, and altered another demon and an extremely power nephilim. I do have quite a bit of experience... alright, it's done."

"So soon? Just like that?" Bisca couldn't believe it.

Akros spun a syringe in his hand with a sly grin. The serum cost 40,000 souls, but with his stockpile he could care less. "Oh yeah. I've mastered my recipe. This'll be near instant and painless."

"Oka- hey!" She yelped as he injected her shoulder suddenly.

She was unable to speak as her body contorted violently, shredding her clothes. Akros politely turned aside to avoid seeing her nude. The process was in fact near instant. The sounds of flesh ripping and bones cracking lasted only a few seconds. Akros slowly turned to peek.

Bisca was now a 6 foot tall fallen angel. She was at the level of a four-winged power angel, the lowest level of four-wings. Her bodily appearance didn't change much. She was a few inches taller and was now covered in lean muscle. Not enough to make a significant difference in her body shape, but it did make her stronger and generally more attractive to Akros.

To balance it out, he made her breasts, thighs, and rear a bit larger. Mostly her breasts, because they were balanced out by 4 black feathery wings. Her wingspan would be 15 feet wide when fully extended. Her bottom pair of wings were very small as proof of her being a power angel.

Bisca examined her modified body with wonder. She gaze Akros a look of immense gratitude and passion. "Thank you!!"

"Don't forget the conditions," Akros said, tossing her a set of clothes for her size. "In fact, we should start living together. This is the girl's dorm though, so you'll have to move out."

"Yeah, that's no issue. I paid this month's rent already. But first, how do we explain this to everyone else? I look noticeably different..."

"Tell people I gave you an elixir of enhancement. It's a white lie, seeing as what I actually gave you was a serum that did enhance you. Oh, you also have the ability to use spatial magic, right?"

"Yeah, you mean reequip magic, right?"

"Reequip magic is just one type of spatial magic. All demons and angels are able to store their wings. I would show you, but you know."

"Your wings are so big, it must suck not being able to store yours," Bisca murmured, folding and extending her wings to flex them. "I love these though! I can't thank you enough! I feel incomparably stronger physically and my magic power is something else. I doubt I have anything on you, though."

"Well, you'll grow. Oh, before I forget..." Akros placed a claw on her neck. She yelped in surprise as a black magic tattoo took form on her collar. "...this is a safety feature. I can't use magic, but if you learn telepathy you can connect to me easily through your Shadow Brand. You may want to hide it went you dress."

"Because it looks suspicious?"

"Duh...?"

"Whatever! I can't see it!"

"Uh huh. I'll leave you to start packing. Make sure your wings are folded before you leave this room. I'd be best to keep your angelicy a secret."

"I know..." She pouted, looking like a child who got told not to touch something. He ruffled her hair before crawling out the door. She watched his muscular body writhe through the tight space, licking her lips. "I wanna lick those abs so bad- no, bad! Ugh, this is why Alzack scolds me for ogling boys..."

Her expression went somber for a moment. "Alzack... I'm sorry, but the only way for me to move on is to forget about you. I'm in a new chapter of my life now!"

Akros strolled into Magnolia. His appearance would spook people at first glance, but his guild mark made people lose fear. He asked around to find housing, and found that the citizens here were very kind people. Even to an unfamiliar face, they gave him genuine instructions and treated him like a human. Then again, they likely had no clue what he was. His dragon scales and demon horns conflicted greatly when it came to his figure.

However, he was very picky with where he'd live. He wanted a one-story house with large doorways, but those two features contrasted each other. It took him the rest of the day before he found what he was looking for, but only because Bisca had joined him at this point. She guided him to the outer parts of Magnolia where there were smaller suburbs. He ended up buying a house for 130,000 jewel.

Akros and Bisca's new home had 5 rooms. A master bedroom, a smaller bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and one bathroom. Most importantly, it was one floor. He found that the foundations of the house could handle his full weight and rejoiced. Then he got to work with the furniture and other home items he and her would need.

First came the bedroom. He had created a bed large enough for himself with an adamantine frame, topped with elven sheets and comforters he still had yet to use from that one elf city he razed. The mattress was purposefully very soft, as he and Bisca were beyond back issues.

Next was the living room. It was totally empty, so he filled the space with dwarven furniture. This included a functional television that ran on mana batteries, a couch strong enough to hold Akros, and a coffee table that doubled as a grill which also ran on mana batteries. He wasn't sure if 'mana batteries' was the right term, but they looked and acted like batteries. To charge them, one simply needed to infuse them with mana. Bisca had to charge them for him while he moved onto the next room.

Then there was the kitchen. He created a fridge via the system by simply imagining a human fridge from his past life. Then he modified it to run off of mana batteries, because electricity didn't exist in Fiore. Bisca had silverware, plates, and cups to use. The only thing left was a table. Akros fabricated a table and chairs out of demon iron so they could withstand his mass.

The bathroom was complicated. Bisca had no qualms with it, but Akros was too large and heavy for the bathtub. The toilet was also inadequate, but he didn't need use it.

After promoting to demon lord, his digestive track ended at his large intestine. Any waste in his body was converted into heat to keep his body warm via a special organ. This organ was like a second stomach. All it did was dissolve waste in lava, with thick protective lining to keep his other organs from burning.

That in mind, he didn't care about the toilet. Fortunately, the bathroom was quite large. To fix the bathtub issue, Akros tore out the existing one with Psychokinesis and copied it. He made a wider and deeper variant of the tub with demon iron. Then he removed enough tiles to place the new tub down. After making sure the plumbing worked, he was content.

He lumbered out into the living room and flopped onto a couch. The amount of souls he cost on regular items because of his weight was becoming a thorn in his side. He was greatly tempted to create an item to permanently reduce his weight, but being heavy was good in fights. It prevented him from being sent flying after taking hard hits.

Bisca was currently in the kitchen, filling up the fridge with food from her old apartment. As the kitchen was connected to the living room, she was able to see his tired state. "Was the bathroom okay?"

"It is now. Have you officially moved out of Fairy Hills?" Akros replied.

"First thing I did after you left."

"Great. We have plenty of money on our hands, so let's relax tonight and tomorrow."

"Sounds good to me. Gives me time to adapt."

Once she was done stocking the fridge, she yawned and went to sit on the couch. Her eye twitched when she saw Akros taking up the entire space by laying down. He stared at her blankly.

"What? You can sit on my lap."

"You just want to feel my ass, pervert. Sit up!"

"Urgh, fine. You look real fine in those jeans though," Akros moved his body so she had room to sit. She sat facing him, leaning back and laying her legs on his lap. He turned the television on, and was shocked to see an interface similar to his dad's old Roku. He had several media options to choose from, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, YouTube, Disney plus, and more.

Soon he and Bisca were watching a comedy anime called Spy x Family. Akros didn't recognize it at all, so he figured why not. Bisca seemed very entertained, so there was no reason to change the show. He flipped up the footrest of his seat by pressing a button on the side of the couch, then leaned back. The back of the seat tilted once the footrest was up, allowing Akros to effectively lay down.

They spent the next hour watching television before heading to bed. Bisca was very nervous about sharing a bed with him, but he insisted it wouldn't be anything outrageous. After all, he could only sleep on his stomach due to his wings. He could retract them with Cybernetic Augmentation, but the shift would undo when he lost consciousness.

Bisca expected him to spoon her after all of his flirting, but he ended up looking like a crocodile on his belly. She found the sight a bit humorous, but she knew it wasn't pleasant for him so she respectfully stayed silent. She played with his luscious purple hair absentmindedly while she and him slowly lost consciousness.

The next morning, they went to the guild hall to hang out and relax. Akros talked with Makarov about recent news regarding the other big guilds and Magnolia. He learned that in two months, the Fairy Tail S-Class Trial would be held.

"You may not be here when I make the announcement, so I'll tell you this now. I have granted you S-Class status due to your strength and speed. Being able to destroy Freed's runes with brute force is unheard of," The old mage spoke. "Anyway, because I assume you'll be taking S-Class requests from now on, you should expect to be out for long periods of time. Even for you, I imagine some issues require thorough investigation before you can obliterate the enemy."

"Wouldn't most S-Class jobs be tough monsters or big crime circles?" Akros asked. "Investigations can be done by weaker mages with magic more suited for it."

"Not always. For example, the spies who investigate the Dark Guilds risk their lives by infiltrating. Those who are exposed die or are tortured."

"Sounds about right. Demons are the same, but more extreme. Succubi especially, most of them are sadistic psychopaths that get off to breaking traitors or captives."

"Succubi exist? What are they like?"

"Well, I only know two personally. One is a unit of mine and is quite fond of me. The other is my mother, a near-omnipotent demon king who must be hundreds of thousands of years old. Both of them have some sort of mental oddity, if not multiple."

"Hundreds of thousands?" Makarov had to refrain from spitting out his coffee. "Yet you are merely 70?"

"I was supposed to be born over a millennia ago, but things got complicated..." Akros rolled his eyes with exasperation. "Anyway, most succubi can blend in with humans. They possess powerful shape-shifting magic, and some of them even look human by default. They're some of the most well-known demons because of their tendency to torment human men."

"How terrible..." Makarov grimaced. "If you don't mind me asking, is your handsome body a result of your mother being a succubus?"

"Yes. My father is also an attractive, lustful demon. I am essentially the prodigy child of sex demons. My scent, looks, touch, all of it is unresistable to females. I have made angels fall with my charm alone. I fear I will attract many of the young women in this guild if I play around, so I'm maintaining some distance. Bisca is a special case."

"That explains a lot. Well, I appreciate you telling me. I was quite curious to see you and Bisca arriving together today, and her magic aura seeming different."

"She's no longer human, and incomparably more powerful than before. She asked for it though, so don't get the wrong idea. Ask her yourself."

"No no, I trust you. You don't seem like the manipulative type with how straight-forward you tend to be, Akros. I do, however, wish to know why she wanted that."

"Alzack's death made her insecure. She felt an irrational desire to get stronger for her own safety. I visited her to make sure she was coping well, only to find her in a state of longing. I expected her to long for her friend, but in reality she wanted power. I gave it to her only because I can take it away."

"..." Makarov took a long sip of his coffee before speaking. "I won't ask how you do the things you do. All I ask is that you lead her down the right path. I would rather her be in your care then be..."

"You don't have to say it, I know..." Akros sighed. "Yo, Mira! Can I get a beer?!"

"Eh?!" Mira replied from afar, as she was currently serving Natsu a plate of some flaming substance. "It's not even noon?!"

"It'll take all the liquor you have to make me drunk! One beer won't do any harm!" He yelled back. Mira returned to the counter, pouting.

"Fine, fine. Don't yell," She harrumphed, pouring him a mug. She reached out to hand it to him. Instead of holding the mug normally, Akros levitated it and lifted it to his mouth indirectly. Mira's eyes widened. "You can use telekinesis?"

"Psychokinesis, but same thing. It's a, um, talent of mine. Not magic, so I can wield it even when syphoned. Honestly, don't ask. I don't know myself."

"Uh, sure..." She murmured, staring.

Makarov cleared his throat to get her attention. "Mira, can you show Akros where the S-Class jobs are?"

"I'm sure I can find them, don't worry. I'm also not in need for cash at the moment. I did get a house yesterday though," Akros said after downing his mug. He set it down on the counter. "It's a nice place."

"Not only that, but you moved in with Bisca, right?" Makarov asked slyly, smiling at Mira's shocked expression. "Keeping an eye on her?"

"You could say that. I'm responsible for what happened, so I'm taking responsibility," Akros deflected the comment effortlessly. Mira restored her poker face, but in her mind she was cursing.

Damn it all! There's no way it's that simple, Bisca is too attractive! I haven't even gone on a date with him yet... well, if he's not going on a job at the moment then maybe I should ask him now. Maybe if I used my magic, he'd like me more? I could try that, but it exhausts my mana. Does he even like human women?

"Well, I'll leave you two alone. I'll be upstairs if you or anyone else needs anything," Makarov said, winking at Mira. He had long figured out her interest in him, and now that he knew Akros was definitely pulling her. She blushed faintly and gave the guild master a stink eye. Once he left, her face immediately became nervous.

"A-akros-kun?"

"Whatcha need?" He turned his head slightly, bearing one luminescent eye onto hers. She took a deep breath.

"Will you go on a date with me?" Mira asked slowly, making sure to speak clearly. The guild hall was as noisy as ever, so she had to make sure he heard her.

Akros stared at her for a moment, making her anxious. "I can't eat in restaurants."

"Oh," Mira suddenly felt stupid for not taking it into consideration. Akros couldn't fit into a human chair. Even if he did he would crush it. "W-we don't have to eat inside. How about a picnic on the beach?"

"..." Akros couldn't remember what a picnic was. "What is that? A picnic, you called it?"

"Ah, I suppose you wouldn't know. How silly of me," She sighed with relief. He had yet to turn her down, so not all was lost. "A picnic is an outside meal. We eat homemade food on a tarp in a park or somewhere with natural beauty. I can handle the food, if you can't cook...?"

"No, no. I must contribute. So where would you like to eat? I saw the local park the other day, it seems nice."

Mira internally cheered with delight. She contained her excitement to a smile on the outside. "That sounds great! Meet me there around dinner time, okay?"

"So it's a date," Akros chuckled, flashing her a charming smirk. "I'll try to look good for you, Mira~."

"Stop teasing me!" She huffed, punching his shoulder. He only laughed harder, barely noticing the contact.

"You're adorable. I'll see you later," Akros stuck out his tongue playfully before going to talk to some other guild mages. He didn't want to embarrass her into the ground. She had her pride as a mage.

After Akros had joined a conversation with Natsu and Lucy, Mira sighed contently. Her gaze never left his rippling muscles that flexed whenever he stretched. "He looks so delicious as it is..."

"I've never seen you get hung over a man, Mira~!" A drunk woman's voice came from the side. Mira jumped and turned to see Cana had been observing her between chugging barrels of wine. "Didn't know you had a thing for hunks..."

"No! You've got it wrong!" Mira retorted with red cheeks. She felt quite humiliated to be caught staring, but in the back of her mind she knew Cana was just teasing. "I'm not into hunks."

"Reeeeally~?"

"No! Er, yes...! Leave me alone."

Hours later, the sun was beginning to set on Magnolia. Mira was dolled up in a revealing gold dress with her bangs down. Her hair was curled, lips blue as her eyes, and ears adorned with pearl earrings. To any and all men who saw her, she was gorgeous beyond belief. She sat on a picnic tarp with a basket beside her peacefully, making many men drool as they walked by.

"Maybe I should've given him an exact time..." Mira said fretfully. "I can't expect Akros-kun to know every human tendency and act accordingly. Haa."

Right after she sighed, Akros descended from the sky. He landed softly, carefully flapping his wings to avoid creating a crater in the soil. He was decorated in ceremonial gold and obsidian armor. The gold accented his horns well, and the obsidian plates were polished and geometric. The armor was clearly not suited for battle, instead making him appear regal.

Akros sat on the tarp with Mira, setting down a large basket of food beside hers. He subtly checked her out, his eyes lingering on her exposed bust. "You look divine."

"Took the words from my mouth," She smiled bashfully, tucking a lock of white hair over her ear. "How coincidental that we match."

Akros chuckled. He spent 4,000 souls on this armor set, as it was entirely fashion. He was happy those souls were not wasted. "Shall we eat? I'm quite famished."

"Okay."

Mira had made egg salad and turkey sandwiches, cut neatly into triangles. She also brought napkins and a bowl of various fruit. Akros had cooked beef and cheese kebobs along with french fries. He had created the raw food with souls, then cooked with Bisca's help. He quite enjoyed it to his own surprise. Additionally, he took out a bottle of wine, glass cups, and a small flat board to set the glass on.

"Uoooh...!" She drooled over the kebabs and fries, before recollecting herself. "That looks delicious! What are those salty thin things, Akros-kun?"

"Perhaps you do not have them in this world. These are called 'french fries'. They're still a bit hot, so blow on it before you eat one," He said, eyeing her sandwiches. "Your sandwiches look good too. I love a good egg salad."

They exchanged compliments over each other's food for a while as they ate. Mira sipped her wine slowly while Akros drank it quicker. His excuse was "If you get tipsy, then it's only fair I do as well". She rolled her eyes playfully, loving his silly reasoning.

In the end, Akros ate everything Mira didn't. The only thing he didn't like was the fruit she brought, but she ate it quite fast. His fangs didn't allow him to chew fruit well. Expecting this, she made the fruit salad one serving size.

"So, what type of women do you like?" Her cheeks were flushed by this point, but she had yet to become fully intoxicated.

"Generally? Busty women. I love thighs and a juicy rear, but nothing does me in like a chick with a rack," Akros was starting to feel the alcohol now. He was on his tenth bottle of wine. She didn't care about his lips touching the bottle that poured her glass, so he drank straight from the bottle.

"So..." Mira folded her arms, squishing her breasts together and pushing them up with a naughty smile. Her dress exposed a great amount of flesh, mostly from above. Akros gulped, feeling himself start to get aroused. He wasn't used to a flirtatious, bold Mira. Normally she'd never showcase her chest like this, but here she was giving him quite the view. "...you like this, don't you~?"

Armor was a good idea. I can't stay soft when she's showing off her tits like this... perhaps I should get her home.

Akros leaned in close, putting his mouth close to her ear. "Listen, we're still in public. As Fairy Tail mages, if we start doing sexy stuff out here..."

"Eeeeeh~? Take me home, then~," She giggled, blowing hot air into his ear. He could feel himself throbbing. Her erotic tone and expression was far too exciting to remain calm.

"Where do you live?" He grumbled, packing everything up into the baskets. Both baskets and the tarp were put in his inventory. Then he carried Mira bridal style, allowing her to hang onto his neck.

"Eh... I forgot~!"

"What."

"C'mwon, let's go~!"

In the end, Akros took her to his own house. He didn't have much choice, as she was begging to "go home" but refused to tell him where she lived. He made sure to move at high speeds to avoid civilians seeing them. Mira had a very good reputation, one that he wanted to protect.

It was still early in the evening, and the sun hadn't completely fallen. When he entered his house through the front door, he didn't see Bisca around. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a note left on the kitchen counter. Akros picked it up with one of his free hands.

"I'm going to sleepover at Lucy's tonight. Sorry I forgot to tell you earlier. I left the extra fries and kebobs in the fridge if you get hungry. Love, Bisca," Akros read out loud. He sighed with a weary smile. "How fortunate."

"You too sexy, Ak-kun~! I like that~! Ak-kun~!" Mira traced his pecs with a silly grin. "Say, Ak-kun~? You wanna cuddle~?"

He didn't respond as he took her to his bed. He made sure the house was locked and the bedroom door was closed behind him before he approached her sprawled form. She kicked off her shoes and laid on her stomach. She wiggled her hips suggestively, gesturing to him with a single finger.

Before I get undressed, let's make sure my sperm isn't hyper-efficient. I really can't be impregnating her today!

Akros modified his sperm back to be impotent, then took off his armor. With his erection bulging from his boxers, he slid in next to her. Her eyes went wide, and she froze.

He's huge!

"Don't go crazy," Akros' voice brought her attention back to the present. "I wasn't planning on sex tonight, but... it'll fit. I promise."

Mira abruptly got off the bed with a determined face. She hurriedly took off her dress, revealing white panties and no bra. He gawked, losing his composure.

"They look even bigger naked...!" Akros, a demon who had seen countless pairs of nude breasts was still very appreciative of them. A neuron reaction occurred every time he saw them, making the experience forever pleasant and exciting. His member strained against his underwear.

"Hehehe~!" She giggled sensually, crawling onto his chest. Her breasts swung as she sat on his crotch. "Mmh~. Sho hot down there~."

"...!" Akros couldn't hold himself back any longer. He devoted two hands to her chest, and two to her rear. With his mighty abdominal muscles, he sat up and locked lips with the drunk beauty. Her body was an intoxicating as the wine he had been drinking, taking away his reasoning.

I have so many other women, but... Mira can use demon takeover magic. She's a perfect candidate!

Hours passed in a flash. Their clothes rested on the floor while they made love and traded saliva. Mira was both durable and flexible. She was able to take most of Akros in her sacred virgin ravine. She didn't love oral sex, mainly because his girth halted her breathing. However, she had an obsession with anal sex.

After he took her anal virginity, she demanded that he pound her there again and again. She whined like a dog as she wagged her hips, begging for more. Akros lost count of how many times he came, but not once did he do it inside. With how much spunk he released per ejaculation, even one load would inflate her body.

Mira lost the contest of stamina, laying limp on the semen-glazed bed. She herself was covered in several layers of the thick black liquid. It soaked her hair and caused her fingers to stick together, but she didn't have the mental strength to care.

Akros had much more in him, but restrained himself for her sake. By using Production Suction, the room was clear of orgasmic fluid. He also got to produce a depravity potion, which was a pitch black liquid that was apparently pure depravity.

Depravity (Liquidated)

Whomever drinks this essence will have their soul tainted with the impurity of the Abyss itself. Can be used for a variety of purposes. Any holy being or being without darkness will be corrupted by this essence.

I should make these after every time I have sex, what the hell? These are power boosters to fallen angels. I'll ask Bisca to drink it later.

The next morning, Bisca entered the house. All of items she brought to Lucy's remained in her separate space, so she had nothing on her. As she opened the fridge, she noticed how nothing had moved since she had last seen it all.

"Weird. Where's Akros?" She said to herself. "He should be awake by now, watching TV or something. Akros!? Where are you?!"

Nothing. Her eye twitched with irritation. "The hell? Is he still asleep? I better go look to be sure..."

Bisca marched to the bedroom, flinging the door open. "Akro- oh my god."

Akros was spooning Mira in bed, both looking very comfortable. He laid on his left side, so his left wings had to be unfurled and pulled back to allow his positioning. Mira was covered by a comforter, more specifically Bisca's comforter. The green-haired woman ground her teeth with bitter jealousy.

"HEY!!"

The sleeping pair woke up instantly. Mira didn't immediately recognize where she was, having been drunk when everything happened. Akros sat up with a dazed but nonchalant expression.

"What's good?" He greeted without a care in the world.

"Bisca-san?" Mira asked nervously, realizing she was in a bad spot.

"You bitch! Get out of my bed!" Bisca screamed furiously. When Mira didn't move, she balled her fists and took a step forward. "OUT!!!"

"Hold on a second, Bisca," Akros pulled Mira, who was sweating anxiously, close to him. He locked eyes with the enraged girl. "Polygamy is normal for a demon of my status. Didn't I tell you of my other maidens?"

"Y-yeah. But you can't seriously expect me to not get mad when you fuck someone on my bed!"

"It's my bed, thanks. You just have the privilege of sleeping in it with me."

"...fine, whatever," Bisca sulked over to him. She glared at Mira. "Shower, and get out! It's my turn!"

"Wait, you want to fuck now?" Akros scowled. "Bisca, don't tell me you want sex out of jealousy."

"Is it so wrong? I like you a lot, Aksy-"

"Aksy?"

"Shut up! You're being difficult, so I'm demoting you to Aksy. Aksy, I've been crushing on you since you saved me from that rune trap. You're so strong, sexy, and confident it's hard not to admire you. Why shouldn't I want this?"

"..."

"She's not wrong," Mira finally spoke. She gave Bisca a smug grin. "Well, Bisca-san, this bitch got to sleep with Ak-kun first. Do something about it."

"I'm trying!" Bisca growled back. "Aksy! Whip it out!"

"No."

"What if I join?" Mira offered deviously. "We can please you at the same time. Right, Bisca-san?"

"Just this once," Bisca grumbled, before pouncing on Akros. "Love me!"

He cursed under his breath, but didn't resist. He didn't want to hurt Bisca's feelings, and found her attractive from day one. An hourglass body, glossy red lips, a stubborn but cute attitude, and loved guns. She was extremely attractive to him even as a human. Now that she was a fallen angel and a Shadow Legion unit, he had little reason to not deepen their relationship.

Akros didn't get out of bed until noon. He and Bisca spent the day lazing around and making out. Mira had to return to her apartment at Fairy Hills to shower and change. She had to work as Fairy Tail's main barmaid today, and was already late for her shift.

For the next couple months, Akros took S-Class jobs with Bisca. Her spike in power and Akros' recommendation convinced Makarov to promote her to an S-Class mage. Between the two of them, they racked up millions of jewel in case. Akros insisted they be prepared for anything, and having more money was always nice. Bisca liked their small home, so she didn't mind his planning.

During their absence, several events happened at Fairy Tail. The Edolas incident, as well as the S-Class trials. Bisca wrote to Mira, letting her know that she and Akros could join the trials late if needed as they would return to Magnolia the day after the trials began. Makarov wasn't pleased, but went forward with the trials without the pair.

The demon's seal percentage decreased to 93% after one specific S-Class job involving a pack of crocodile-like raccoons. They were odd creatures, but possessed a decent amount of magic power in their hearts. He was able to use a meager fraction of his magic, but it was so pathetic that refrained from doing so to preserve his pride.

On the day of their return, they were surprised to see the amount of guild mages still in the hall. Akros and Bisca approached Kinana, another barmaid of Fairy Tail, for more information.

"The trials began yesterday, as scheduled," Kinana explained as she poured two beer mugs. "Master wasn't too happy about you two being late, but told me to tell you that you should go to Tenrou Island to join them. Something about you two participating in day two of the trials."

"Aw. I could use a break after that last job. Subduing so many criminals non-lethally is a pain," Bisca sighed. She looked to Akros for his opinion, only to see that he was spacing out. "Aksy?"

Akros was in very deep thought. He felt that something was off ever since he arrived back at the guild, but couldn't figure it out. He didn't quite remember the S-Class trial arc of Fairy Tail, so his mind ran in circles trying to figure out what was wrong here. Then his eyes widened.

The S-Class trials come before a time skip. Could this be the... that's it! The seven year time skip! But what causes the main characters to be out of the scene for seven years? Do the trials go wrong? Wait, no... the opening for that arc, I remember it faintly.

"Aksy?" Bisca was poking his stomach with a frown. "Aksy!"

There was an enormous black dragon during the last part of the opening. I always thought it was cool, but that thing might be the cause of the time skip. Maybe it seals them away? Whatever it does, I need to get to Tenrou Island to prevent it!

"Bisca, we need to go! I have a bad feeling about this!" Akros ordered. He didn't wait for her to respond, instead running so fast he crashed through the doors and the front of the guild hall.

"What the? Wait!"

Bisca ran after him, leaving the Fairy Tail members still in the hall confused. Kinana was bewildered, but let it go. She figured Akros had heightened senses, so if he picked up a bad feeling he was right to act on it.

Akros flew as fast as he could over the sea. He didn't need to know direction as he could sense a monstrous magic power signature. This had to be his target. As he flew, he used the system to create a new armor set.

He took his old armor from his promotion trial and expanded the separate pieces, keeping all of its properties and materials aside from making an eye slot in the mask. This cost him a mere 50,000 souls because his body shrank. He would've done more to his armor, but he was already closing in on his destination. Or what was his destination.

There was a blast crater within the ocean that the water was rushing to fill. Akros saw a bit of stone. The part of the island that would've connected to the seabed. His heart started racing with anger. Mira and Makarov were with the group that went to Tenrou. He didn't know for sure if they were dead, but the uncertainty was plenty enough to rev him up.

Akros finally saw the source of the vengeful and insane magic power above the crater. None other than a figure he recognized as Acnologia, the Dragon King. The black scales with blue accents was signature to this entity. Not to mention the magic power pressure. Even Momonga couldn't compare to the raw power this beast held. Additionally, Acnologia was massive. Almost the size of Magnolia itself.

"You motherfucker!" Akros cursed, bringing out Hellreaver and Crafanc from his inventory. Then he took a stance midair, wielding each sword with two hands. "For Mira! For Makarov! For Fairy Tail! I shall destroy you!"

Acnologia roared maliciously, then charged at him wildly. Akros was fast enough to dodge the first talon strike, but was rammed by the dragon's head. He coughed up blood as he was flung through the air.

He righted himself just in time to parry another talon attack. With a ferocious cry, he retaliated. A flash of red and gold resulted in a gash in Acnologia's arm, the one that was just deflected. The dragon cried in pain. He spun around and smacked Akros with his tail. The demon was sent soaring once again from the impact.

"Urgh! Damn thing is strong, but I can still cut him!" Akros grunted as he flew. He restored his posture and readied his swords once again.

However, Acnologia realized the danger that came with the two swords. The red one cut through his scales like butter, and the gold one dug deeper into his flesh to drain his life force. The gash wasn't deep, but the pain made him wary.

The Dragon King sent a devastating breath attack towards Akros. A giant yellow beam that screamed of danger. It moved faster than Akros could move, so he was forced to take it head on. He held his swords in an X formation in front of him with the blades facing himself and the breath magic.

As the destructive beam shrieked around his body, the swords created a eye in the storm. It wasn't much, but it reduced the damage his armor took. As it was, the Imperial Gold was beginning to melt and the Abyss gem armor sections were fracturing.

"Hrrrrnggh!!" He poured much of his mana into restoring the armor, but the damage he was sustaining was too much. He would run out of mana soon.

This can't be... I can't move! Is this... out how it ends...?

Memories of his demon life flashed before his eyes. Spending time with Beta. Obtaining magic. Talk with Lyra in his mind. Meeting Ulvone. Transforming 7 demons from humans. Granting Lyra her body. Freeing Hilda and obtaining Uriel. Reuniting with Lilith. His first fusion. Dealing with Pheom. Establishing Vrathe. Corrupting Querrlya, Iris, and Eon. Promoting to demon lord. Discovering his fragment world. Fusing again. Bearing children with some of his loved ones. Robbing Nazarick and being outdone by Momonga. Joining Fairy Tail. Making love with Mira and Bisca. Now, after so much time, he truly saw his life flash before his eyes.

Then the strain of restoring his armor was no more. It was suddenly fully replenished as it stopped deteriorating. Akros lowered his swords in shock. "It... stopped?"

Then he gasped. Acnologia was reeling in pain from an impact on his head. Smoke rose from his scaled skull, revealing a large bullet impaled in between his eyes.

"Bisca?" Akros muttered in surprise. He shook his shock away and gripped his swords tightly. His resolved was restored in full as his body coiled up. "Thank you, Bisca... GRRRAAAAAGH!!! I CAN'T GIVE UP NOW!!!"

Power surged through his body, his heart pumping furiously. He flew at Acnologia at speeds he had never managed before. The dragon was just recovering as Akros approached his body. He reached out to smack him away, but this time Akros would not yield to defend.

"Metsuryū Gokugi!" Gold and crimson blades danced upon Acnologia's scales as Akros' figure became blurred. He zipped around the dragon's arm like a fly. "Ma ryū no ha!!"

(Author Note: Even though the Japanese equivalent of "blade" is spelled "ha" in English, the pronunciation is closer to "yaiba".)

When Akros came back into view, Acnologia's left arm was torn to shreds. The limb was cut into millions of small chunks. Reduced to a stump, his arm gushed blood like a broken faucet. The dragon howled in fury and pain. He blasted Akros away with a violent bout of fire from his mouth.

"Tch! Bastard sure is tenacious!" The shadow demon snarled, flicking the blood off his swords. His stamina and strength had been mostly replenished thanks to Crafanc's curses. "However, at this rate he should bleed out! I have the advantage now!"

Acnologia realized the predicament he was in now. The unidentified thing he was battling proved not only durable, but extremely dangerous. He felt very drained after losing his arm, as he lost not only a massive amount of life force but also a large portion of his stamina. He thought about fleeing, but he smelled dragon from this being. The familiar scent brought uncontrollable rage with it. His trauma with dragons would not allow him to leave any dragonkin to live.

The Dragon King channeled his unrighteous magic power. Yellow energy swelled around his body. He then whirled his body around to make the energy form spirals that spread out through the air. Akros flew between the spirals. It was taxing endeavor, but he managed to weave between the whirls of yellow magic with his tiring wings.

In his shock at the demon's mobility, Acnologia was slow to react to Akros' approaching form. Crafanc and Hellreaver gleamed maliciously as the demon crossed them in an X formation. "Hasami no ha!!"

The blades cut through the yellow energy and into Acnologia's chest. He screamed in agony and thrashed violently. Akros retreated to avoid getting hit by his gigantic body. Acnologia's magic fizzled away, leaving him open. Akros then enacted his finishing move. He stored his blades, then harnessed what little magic energy he could with his partially broken seal.

He soared straight towards the bleeding dragon, who frightfully moved to smack him away. Acnologia couldn't concentrate his magic due to his blood loss. Akros' entire body became ethereal and black. He faded in and out of sight, confusing Acnologia greatly. The talon he raised became uncertain.

"Die! Kage no haaku!!" He passed through Acnologia's hand and through his chest. When he flew out from his back, he became physical again. In his hands was an extremely vengeful and hateful soul. It writhed in his grasp, screaming madly.

Acnologia's body fell from the sky, lifeless. Without a soul, it was nothing more than a husk of a dragon. However, something peculiar occurred when the soul left the dragon's corpse. The dragon shrank and shrank until it was a human. The human had dark blue spiky hair, dark skin, magic tattoos all over, and mirrored the injuries of the dragon it was prior.

After Akros put the soul away, he looked at the body greedily while panting heavily. "I can't waste it. Maybe, just maybe I can...!"

He dove for it, catching the corpse before it fell into the ocean. Because it was soulless, he was able to store it in his inventory. Akros felt quite relieved to have Acnologia out of the way, as he was the biggest antagonist in the main Fairy Tail plot. However, now came something even more difficult.

The demon gazed at where Tenrou Island had been with a somber expression. "Mira. Makarov. You kids... I hope Mavis protected them. This world is different from the Fairy Tail I know because of my own interference, so I can only hope..."

He returned to Fairy Tail's guild hall with a heart of lead. He wished he had remembered Acnologia's course of actions sooner so he could've prevented the main gaggle of Fairy Tail mages being sealed away. Or so he thought that's what happened.

He knew that Mavis, the first master of Fairy Tail, appeared in her phantom form and protected the main characters with Fairy Sphere. A powerful spherical barrier spell. However, she seemed to use the shield more like a container to transport them to another space. That is what causes the seven year time skip, Akros thought.

He wasn't guilty of anything, but he blamed himself for not being able to rescue Mira and Makarov and the rest of them. The "main characters" of Fairy Tail were all very young compared to him, so he saw them as kids. Mira and Bisca were still kids in a sense as well, as they were 19 and 18 as far he remembered. Legal adults in his old world, but still quite young. Thinking about the age difference made him feel like a pedophile, and loathed pedophiles.

When he landed in front of the guild hall, he was met by a weary Bisca. She wasn't harmed in any way visibly, but seemed very drained. Her magic power signature was also very low.

"Hey, Asky..." She waved weakly. "That shot took all of my mana... can you get me- Asky?!"

He interrupted her with a hug. She braced herself to be crushed, but was surprised to feel barely any pressure from Akros. She realized that was also exhausted, probably having flown fast because the adrenaline was still pumping through his veins. Now he was out of stamina and trembling.

"Thank you, Bisca," Akros whispered. He bite back tears of relief. He struggled to weave words together. "I-I saw my life flash before my eyes. If you hadn't distracted him, I would be-"

"Don't say that!" She cried, starting to cry herself. "I won't let you die! We'll be together forever, okay! Don't even talk about dying!"

"Well, it's not the first time I've come close. When I was sent to this world, I was reduced to my heart as my body was torn apart by spatial tears," Akros wiped the tears from her face, smiling somberly. "I may be immortal, but not indestructable. Acnologia was close to annihilating my body. My soul would've survived, but my body? Gone."

"What're you saying?" She glared at him with wet eyes. "None of that matters now. You're safe- we're safe. Let's just go home and rest. Okay?"

"You might have to carry me..." He said, before passing out in her arms. She yelped in surprise as she suddenly had to hold ten tons up. If she was at full strength it would be nothing, but as worn out as she was...

"Guh! You fatass! Wake up!" Bisca groaned. Straining with effort, she hoisted his arm around her shoulders and began walking.

It was painful and long, but she was able to carry him back to their house. She had to twist the key with her teeth, then dragged him through the door. He was covered in sweat and blood, so she didn't let him touch the couch or their bed. She let him rest on the floor face down, so he didn't crush his own tail and wings.

"The red blood must be Acnologia's, meaning the purple liquid on him is his own blood?" She muttered, mystified. "I've never seen him bleed before. Acnologia really was a monster."

Bisca had gotten sweat and blood all over herself by carrying Akros. She put her clothes in the magic washing machine they bought, and prepared a hot bath. Then she dragged Akros to the tub. She knew his underwear was self-cleaning thanks to an enchantment, so she took it off but didn't wash it.

She washed Akros and herself, which took several minutes. The blood was already caked into his scales, so cleaning deep was difficult. After the bath she felt much better, and had the strength to carry him into bed. He continued to snooze while she cleaned the blood on the floor. She set his boxers on his nightstand.

Akros slept for a month afterwards. The physical exhaustion added to the strain of forcing out magic from his mostly syphoned heart required a massive amount of rest. Bisca fret over him greatly, but because his heart and lungs continued to work she didn't go crazy over his condition. She refused any and all visitors, mostly other Fairy Tail members asking where the Tenrou Island group had gone.

The trial was meant to take only a few days, but the group had been absent for 8 days now. Bisca estimated that the guild would struggle without their strongest human mages, especially their master.

She had seen not only the battle between Acnologia and Akros, but before that the "destruction" of Tenrou Island. There were visible traces of light magic left behind where the island should be that couldn't belong to Acnologia nor Akros. Someone else had displaced the island and its visitors, but Bisca couldn't think of anyone who could do such a thing.

More importantly, Fairy Tail was in a state of unrest due to Makarov's absence. The Magic Council ran an investigation on the island, only to find nothing. A few officers did come to question Bisca and Akros, due to them being members of Fairy Tail. She had a difficult time convincing them that Akros wouldn't be waking up anytime soon.

Once the news of Tenrou Island and Fairy Tail's most powerful group of mages had disappeared, the guild began to change. Job requests dwindled, and members left to seek work elsewhere. Around this time was when Akros woke from his slumber.

At first, he was excited to see what he could do with Acnologia's soul and carcass. However, after Bisca filled him in on the state of the guild, he lost his excitement.

"So you suspect it too? Someone took the island and stored it in a separate space," Akros said. "I don't know who it was, but they probably saved our friends from Acnologia."

"I sure hope so. In the meantime, we need to start taking jobs again. We still have plenty of money, I've only been buying food recently, but the guild needs us. We need to better its reputation," Bisca urged. "You've been sleeping for a month now. We need to do stuff."

"Of course. There is a few things I need to do first, though," He got out of bed and slid on his boxers. He then opened the system to see his status.

"Bisca, watch the house. I'll be back in a few," He kissed her on the forehead before zipping out of the house. She stood there for a moment, comprehending what he said.

"What the hell?" Was all she could come up with. She went back to watching TV until he came home.

Akros flew out of Magnolia, finding a forested area devoid of humans to the east. He landed and brought out Acnologia's body. It had been perfectly preserved in his inventory, and somehow still lived. His heart beat and his lungs cycled oxygen, but he had no soul. He lived through his natural tenacity and his subconscious bodily cycles. However, his wounds were still open and bleeding. He would pass soon if Akros did nothing.

So, Akros used a small amount of Restoration to mend the puppet's body. There was a burning sensation in his chest when he used magic, but he forced himself to go through with this. Then he used magic again to extract his own soul. He broke off a tiny piece and placed in the healed Acnologia's body, while returning the remainder of his soul to his body.

Akros' soul fragment resonated with Acnologia's as both souls were somewhat draconic. He found that he was able to control Acnologia's body without issue. Yet it was very awkward due to a lack of arms, wings, and a tail. Having only four limbs was a sensation he had long forgotten. It felt primitive to the point of disgust. Akros wasted no more time.

Both vessels performed the Metamoran fusion dance. Akros was concerned it wouldn't work for several reasons, but his soul contained the unique and non-phsical skill of fusion. Not his body. The fusion was then accepted throughout both bodies because they held his soul.

An enormous eruption of magic power birthed from the connected fingertips. A black blast destroyed all nearby life and dug a crater around the morphing bodies. A fierce wind blew outward from them.

A few seconds later, the wind and magic energy swelling calmed. Out from the dust and black mist came a figure wrought with dark mana.

Akros' height did not change. However, just about everything else did. His scales became a dark violet, barely lighter than his skin. His hair remained a beautiful amethyst shade, but now was much longer due to Acnologia having extremely long and wild hair.

Now Akros bore a mullet of his spiky purple hair, one that reached his wings. The dragon genes were stimulated by the fusion, and affected most of his body. His wings were some of the only limbs that were already draconic.

Akros' scales now covered his entire chest, leaving only his abdominal and genital areas free. The etherium on his hands was now jagged. His fingertips became savage talons, built for rending flesh. His feet were an entire different ball game.

He still bore two large clawed toes facing forward, but now the third toe that faced backward had become one with his heel. He truly felt more draconic with this new sensation as he stood in the burnt pit.

His horns also experienced a small change. The main branch was still golden and in a crown formation, only with spikes running around the crown. The two horns meet behind his scalp to form a connection between. The vertical branches didn't change at all besides growing a bit thicker and longer. Akros didn't want them any longer, so he reduced their length by considerably. This cost 100 souls.

Akros retained his devilishly attractive face. The only changes was his eyes. He now bore ominous red irises complimented by black reptilian pupils. His sclera remained black.

He stretched his body with leisure, feeling immensely stronger than he did previously. He was also happily shocked to feel mana pumping through his veins. He opened the system interface off an explanation.

"Whoa! I really can use magic again!" Akros leaped in the air with joy. Doing so caused a tremor through the ground as he pushed off, and when he landed. The impact was incredibly loud, and the bedrock beneath him threatened to give out. "Oh no. I must weigh so much now."

He walked out of the crater before it broke further. Each step caused a booming thud to ring out, worrying him. "Holy shit, how much do I weigh?! This is so much worse than before! I need to reduce my weight before the locals freak out."

Akros opened the system again and modified the Anti-Gravity Greaves.

Anti-Gravity Greaves

+100 DEF

-50 SPD

Adjustable: Will morph to fit wearer.

Reduced Mass: Wearer will experience 1% of their default mass.

"Whew, that should do it!" He sighed with relief as he equipped them. He also modified the LEDs in the patterns on the metal to be purple and the rest of the greaves to be pitch black. Now that they matched his body's theme and reduced his weight further, he could relax. The modifications cost 10,000 souls.

Even then, Akros' footsteps were not light in the slightest. They sounded the same when he first wore the greaves. He ran through the math out loud. "Before, I weighed ten tons and the greaves divided that by ten, reducing my weight to one ton. Now, my weight is reduced by 100 but my weight is still about one ton. ...Do I weigh 100 tons? Is because I have a dragon form ready at all times, so I have the weight of that form also at all times? Shit, how will I sleep...?"

He wanted desperately to test out his forms and magic, but it was too risky. He estimated people were already on their way to see what the noise was about. Fearing he would be spotted, he dove into the Shadow Realm.

"I missed this feeling. The dark silence of this place..." Akros smiled to himself. "Now, what do my skills do? Let's see..."

Cataclysm (Active): Demolish everything in your path. Consumes mana per damage output.

Foresight (Active): See the future around you.

Foresight (Passive): Grants the ability to detect nearly anything within a mile radius.

Violet Coating: Armament Haki, but glittery and purple. Longer and wider use costs larger amounts of mana.

Arcane (Passive): Can consume most forms of directly offensive magic cast by others to replenish your mana. Examples: Fire magic, Water magic, Wind magic, etc. Magic that uses physical objects cannot be consumed.

"This is ridiculous," Akros said, eyes wide with disbelief. "The Tremor-Tremor fruit has gone full circle, and now it's back to the original power? So has my Armament Haki apparently. But that does make it simpler. And Arcane is just broken. I can now restore my mana, health, and stamina during battle in an instant.

"I think I do remember Acnologia calling himself the "Arcane Dragon" because he could eat all kinds of offensive magic, but he never perfected his spells. He was less "arcane" and more "disastrous". No doubt that's why I have so much progression of the Law of Destruction. Time seems to be flowing slower here than out there, I can't waste anymore time."

Akros used the yet to be officially registered Shadow Step to arrive underneath Bisca in the blink of the eye. When he arose from the shadows in their living room, she nearly shrieked.

"What the fu- oh," She put a hand over her chest. Her heart had skipped a beat when she saw Akros appear out of the corner of her eye. She frowned at him. "Don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry, sorry!" He scratched his nape sheepishly. "I was so excited to use my shadow magic again..."

He had a silly smile on his face that made it difficult for Bisca to stay mad at him. Instead she got a closer look at his new body. "You look different. Did you absorb Acnologia or something? I still can't feel any magic power from you though..."

"You can't? Oh no," Akros grimaced. "That means I'm out of your mana sensing capabilities. In other words, so potent you can't even pick up on it. My magic is back and stronger than ever."

Bisca's eyes went wide. "Hold on, I could sense Acnologia's magic power. How powerful are you now?"

"Um... more so than before?"

"...I can't stand you sometimes."

"Why don't you sit down then?"

"Shut up!"

After a short quarrel, the two made their way to Fairy Tail. Akros was shocked to see the lack of mages inside. The usual dozens of people was now reduced to 20. The large hall seemed very empty for once.

"Yo, Bisca!" Macao, the newly appointed guild master of Fairy Tail, called out. "Akros, you're awake?"

"Do I look asleep to you?" The demon snarked. "Where the hell is everyone? I hear you've been appointed master?"

"I'm merely a placeholder until master returns," The middle aged man sighed. "We're not getting many jobs now that we lost Natsu's team and most of our S-Class mages. There should still be a few S-Rank jobs upstairs for you two, go ahead and take them. You don't need my approval."

"Don't get so sappy, old man!" Wakaba, another man of the same age and Macao's longtime best friend teased. "At least you get to rule over us."

"It's not like that, Wakaba. I didn't want to get the title this way."

"I'm sorry, Macao," Bisca patted his shoulder reassuringly. "We're going to take a job, and hopefully we can improve our reputation. Me and Aksy can do a lot by ourselves."

"You might be our last hope," Macao's young son, Romeo, said dejectedly. He looked up to Natsu, and had been depressed since the disappearance.

"Romeo, don't be so negative!" Macao scolded halfheartedly. He knew it was hypocrisy, but he had to play his role as the boy's father. "We'll make do."

"..." Akros didn't want to say anything negative. He knew the guild would continue to shrink as jobs became scarce and the pay decreased. Without Natsu, Erza, and Mira, who were the faces of Fairy Tail, people would forget about the guild.

Before he forgot, he got a new yellow guild mark on his upper right palm from Kinana. He continued upstairs silently, letting Bisca chat with the members who were around. He grabbed a S-Class job without bothering to look at it. He still wasn't able to read this world's text.

He took the flyer to Bisca, who read it with skeptical eyes. "Um, a search for a lost girl? Quite unlike you..."

"I know what it is like to lose loved ones. It is a feeling that shouldn't be felt. Why should I sit around when I can prevent others from feeling that pain?" Akros clenched his fists tightly.

"Don't be so selfish! You're not the only one who's hurting right now, and stop blaming yourself already! You can't change the past!" Bisca chided harshly, crossing her arms. "We slew Acnologia and got our vengeance. Now we have to move on."

"But it is my fault! I should've been quicker to sense Acnologia's presence!" He argued back. Macao, Romeo, and the other members nearby gave the two some space as tensions rose between them.

"You are so fucking stupid! Tenrou Island is hundreds of miles- no, maybe over a thousand miles away! Of course you didn't sense him right away!"

"...tch!" Akros realized he had lost the argument. He stormed out of the guild hall with the crumpled job request in his hand. Bisca scowled at his back as he left, then heaved a sigh full of worry.

"Damn it all. On top of the disappearance, he's stuck in this mental loop!" Her voice cracked as she was on the verge of crying due to stress. Laki, a young female mage who had been in Fairy Tail for a long time, came to her side to comfort her.

"Hey. It's going to be okay. He just needs time," Laki whispered to the shaking girl. "Remember, he's been asleep for all this time. He hasn't been aware of this for too long, so he hasn't coped yet. Maybe you should wait a day or so to do that job."

"No... He'll do it anyway. He has the dumbest, most powerful guilty conscience of anyone I know," Bisca grumbled, biting back her tears with a bitter smile. "I have to stop him before he goes on a rampage. I'm probably the only one who can."

Laki was surprised by her resolve at first, then gave her an encouraging smile. "We're counting on you. Keep our resident demon in check, please!"

A sulking demon tread through an alleyway in Magnolia. Akros wanted to slam his head into a wall, but that wouldn't even hurt him anymore. He didn't know where to go for the job he took. He was tempted to go back and ask, but his pride wouldn't allow that. He was about to spend souls on an ability that allowed him to read this world's language when a familiar voice came from behind.

"You don't know where to go, huh?"

He didn't bother turning around. "Leave me alone."

"Oh? So you'll just figure it out somehow? Fine then."

"Urk!"

"Stupid. You need me..." Bisca wrapped her arms around his waist. "...and I need you. Please, let the shame go. I can't bear to see you like this."

"I, I can't let it go. I failed."

"Everyone fails from time to time. Failure is how we learn. You know that. Just... you know what? If it'll make you feel better, I'll suck you off right here and now."

"No... I'm not in the mood."

Bisca gulped anxiously. Akros was always up for sex, regardless of the scene. Him to rejecting her offer was a terrible sign.

"Then let's go home and cuddle. Let me do something, anything! I want to help you, but you need to say something!"

He sighed. "Let's just do this job. Maybe helping someone else in a similar situation will ease me."

"Haa...alright, let's go. No magic. You use any in your current state, and you'll destroy everything. Stick to gun transformations, please."

"'Kay, babe."

An hour later, they arrived at the location of the missing daughter request, a port town called Hargeon. The client was a wealthy couple who got into bad dealings with a gang of fugitives called the Fish Guts. In response to the parents cutting off trade with the Fish Guts, their daughter was kidnapped by the gang. They had several powerful mages by civilian standards, so the job was listed as S-Rank with a pay of 2,000,000 jewel.

Akros had done enough jobs for Fairy Tail that he was known throughout parts of Fiore. His most common alias was the "Demon Fairy", which was what the clients identified him as soon as they saw him. He was okay with it, as it was quite logical and wasn't insulting.

However, he had another name to the underworld of Dark Guilds, criminals, and spies of the Magic Council. "Fairy of Death". Whenever he could get away with it, he slew men, women, and even children without a tinge of remorse. If they were his enemy, then so be it. He was far, far past the point of hesitating to take the life of one he didn't have any personal grudges against. A demon as powerful as himself could not afford mercy.

As someone who completed 11 S-Class jobs in a mere three months, his name started to pop up as a special request. Many rich clients asked for his aid over the month he was asleep, but due to his slumber these requests went undone. This damaged both his fame and Faith Tail's reputation.

"I beg of you, rescue our daughter," The father pleaded weakly. "She's our everything. We can't go on without her..."

"She's been gone for a few days, right? I can't guarantee she's still alive, but we'll find her regardless," Akros replied. Albeit they didn't want to admit it, the middle aged couple had the same expectation deep down. Fearing the worst. "We'll be back soon with your daughter."

Bisca and Akros left the mansion with a map of where Fish Guts was located. It was an abandoned mineshaft rich with magic crystals. These crystals attracted monsters, so normal people such as miners couldn't reside there and thus the mine was abandoned.

However, Fish Guts had several mages at the same strength as guild mages. They were able to harvest the crystals and fend off monsters just fine.

As the sun began to set, Akros and Bisca arrived at the entrance. A massive natural cave with wooden supports all over. Tracks for coal carts ran inside the tunnel. Several suspicious looking people were guarding entrance. Others were taking magic crystals from carts and loading them into crates. To the right side of the mineshaft was a large inn. It was originally made for miners, but now hosted organized thugs.

The inhuman couple hid in foliage where the forest ended and the mining area began. "Aksy, remember to look before you shoot."

"I won't shoot the girl, relax."

"There might be more than one. More captives or women who are apart of the gang. You know what our target looks like, right?"

"Short, busty, redhead, pink eyes, and a birthmark on her left shoulder?"

"Yep. Okay, on my mark, start shooting."

Bisca's left arm morphed into a machine gun. Akros' head transformed into a three-barreled 122mm rotary cannon.

"Now!"

One of the guards turned their head toward their direction. "Hey, what wa-"

Earsplitting gunfire rang out as the augmented couple let hell loose. Bisca aimed for heads and chests, aiming to cleanly incapacitate or kill with one shot each. Akros was much louder, deadlier, and faster. He fired 10 rounds per second, each one ripping a 12cm wide hole in its target.

Needless to say, the thugs panicked. Yet they were wiped out so fast that they had no chance to get help or flee. In their dying moments, they hoped their allies would be alarmed by the gunfire and come to avenge them.

However, there was so no such luck for these criminals. More mages and worked poured out of the inn and the mine, wielding pickaxes and staves alike. All were swiftly killed or shredded like styrofoam.

"Inside!" Bisca called out. She kicked the inn door open, only to find more thugs. They would've leered at her erotic body if she wasn't covered in blood.

"Wait! Wait! We'll give you the captives! Spare us, please!" A fat, greasy man who seemed to be a higher up within them screamed. He had on better clothes and wore jewelry.

"Where are they?" Bisca asked, aiming her gun arm at his head. Akros entered the inn behind her with his face gun still spinning.

""The Fairy of Death?!?"" The thugs collectively shrieked in fear. Akros sensed magic from all of them, but in their terror they couldn't focus their mana to cast any spells. Akros' face contorted with anger and disgust, which instilled further distress.

"U-u-upstairs! The girls are upstairs!" The leader squealed. To the transformers, he was no better than a pig. They didn't need to share a glance to agree on his fate.

While Akros mowed down the remaining thugs, Bisca went to the upper floor where the rooms were located. The doors were unlocked so she waltzed right in. No thugs were here. However...

"Oh, no..." Bisca covered her mouth in horror.

The room she had entered held two queen beds. On each was a nude and restricted young woman with white fluids all over their bodies. Neither of them reacted to Bisca's entrance. Their eyes were glazed over and lifeless, although they still had breath. One of them matched the appearance of the clients' daughter.

The green haired teen morphed her machine gun into a blade and cut them free. She repeated this for the other rooms, finding more and more women. Some were dead, and obviously had been for some time. Not even those corpses were free of semen.

Bisca was greatly conflicted. She wanted to save them, but as it was the survivors were nothing but sex dolls. Should she put them out of their misery? What about the clients' daughter?

During her mental struggle, Akros came upstairs. His weight made the boards creak, but they held. He saw the look on Bisca's face and put the pieces together.

"I'm sorry you had to see this, babe. I can mend the living, but the others will need to be disposed of," Akros' voice was void of emotion. "Let's do all we can to help them."

Bisca nodded numbly. "I'll be outside. I need some air."

After she left, Akros' face turned dark. He used Restoration on the living girls, mending their bodies. The life returned to their eyes, and each of them wept. Akros made sure all of them could walk before guiding them downstairs and outside where Bisca waited.

There were 6 survivors in total, including their target. Akros destroyed the grime on everyone's bodies, then created cheap clothes for all of them. Each set cost a meager 5 souls. Then he set the inn ablaze with Unholy Fire, along with each of the corpses outside.

"No trace left behind. Besides, this mess is better undiscovered," Akros told Bisca, who nodded in agreement. He noticed how out of it she was, but didn't say anything. She would need time to cope, he thought. It was almost ironic.

He and Bisca escorted the six into Hargeon. The five unknown girls thanked them profusely before running to their homes. The pink haired girl remained with the two non-humans.

Under the fading sunset, the rich clients had a tearful reunion with their beloved daughter. They paid the 2,000,000 jewel as agreed and promised to spread Fairy Tail's name.

The drive home in Akros' tank was a full one. While they had done the right thing, Bisca felt empty. She wanted to vomit while also wanting food. She wanted to cry and rage at the same time. This injustice was just too much for her to bear.

Akros couldn't see her face as he drove, but felt he should say something regardless. "I know that was hard to see. This is why I wanted to do the job. I do feel better after serving justice...but..."

"That was something we didn't need to know about," Bisca finished his sentence. "I had a bad feeling as soon as the head thug mentioned more than one girl in their possession. Now I understand how you feel."

"Even though it wasn't your fault, the guilt infects you, doesn't it?"

"Mhm."

"...You want to know why humans are the Creator's masterpiece?"

"The Creator? You mean god?"

"Same guy. Anyway. He made humans with both demonic sins and angelic virtues. Because of that, there will always be evil humans. No world is free of them. We can't get hung up over this one event."

"Yeah, I guess," She replied softly. "But we can make this world a better place, right? Let's keep taking jobs like these to improve the world and spread Fairy Tail's name."

Akros smiled to himself. "Sounds good to me."
