Chapter 8: Chunin Exam- Round One

Although it was stressful, his body became stronger than before and his chakra capacity also increased alongside needing less time to enter sage mode.

He was able to pierce through three large statues of toads while using all of his senjutsu chakra to create a lightning bolt. The lightning bolt was as about 6 feet long and was bright purple in color. 

Rey also sparred with Fukasaku which often resulted in him losing as he only had a few jutsus which Fukasaku dodged until he was out of Sage mode.

Rey also tried different stuff with ninja tools, he tried to change the direction of a shuriken by hitting it with another in midair. Although it was difficult as first, but when supplied lightning chakra in them through wires, he was able to subtly change their direction, enough for them to hit the other shuriken in the correct spot.

On the day of Chunin exams, Fukasaku personally dropped Rey to the leaf village as they didn't receive any message from Naruto and like they thought he had forgotten about that.

After dropping Rey, Fukasaku went back to the land of toads, while Rey made his way towards the hokage office. 

From there he learned that the first round of chunin exam was about to take place in a training center. 

Rey quickly made his way towards the given location and found a large group of shinobis from different villages standing there, listening to Sai.

He also notice Wasabi standing apart from the other shinobis with an angry look on her face, alongside her stood Namida looking at the ground with a sad face.

It didn't take Rey long to figure out what had happened, apparently they were not allowed to take part in the Chunin Exam without having a complete team.

He quickly made his way toward them, putting them both in his list of soon to be his women. Wasabi was a fair-skinned girl of average height. She had short, spiky brown hair, green eyes with cat-like pupils, and pronounced canine teeth. Her outfit consisted of a sleeveless green hooded vest over a mesh shirt, brownish green shorts with mesh leggings and brown shoes. She also had a cat tail, attached to her waist by the belt loops of her shorts. 

Wasabi was a direct person who was not afraid to speak her mind, she was motivated and hyperactive.

Namida on the other hand, had brown hair and eyes. Her hairs were tied in two long ponytails handing high on the sides. Namida wore a high-necked sweater that covers her neck and long sleeves that went right up to her fingertips. Her sweater was beige, with an orange area around the shoulders, sleeves and collar. The rest of her outfit consisted of a reddish-orange belt around her waist, shorts of the same colour as the belt, which sat just above a shuriken holster on her right thigh, and a pair of brown boots that rose to the height of her shins.

Namida was a sweet and friendly girl.

Wasabi noticed someone approaching her, as she turned to look at the person, her anger shot up the roof. Just as she opened her mouth to give an earful to Rey, she heard his voice.

" I am sorry for being late, we will discuss it later, but first we have to go quickly otherwise we won't be able to participate. " 

Rey said as he started moving toward the other participants, not even looking back to see if they were coming or not.

Wasabi's anger skyrocketed, but seeing Namida walking behind Rey, she had no choice but to swallow her anger and follow them.

As Rey joined the other participants, he bowed to offer his apology for being late when Sai looked at him, causing the other party to nod and say.

Rey and Wasabi turned toward Namida as soon as they heard the question. The only person to show interest in reading books in their group was Namida.

Feeling their gaze on her, Namida's face reddened, but she still continued thinking about the question.

But the more she thought, the more her expression fell.

" I don't know. I didn't even know there was a fifth volume. " Namida said as her eyes watered a little.

Rey and Wasabi both were shocked to hear that and knew that if a studious girl like Namida hadn't heard of this, they surely would know the answer. 

" What do we do now?" Wasabi said, feeling somewhat panicked.
