Chapter 2: Damsel in distress

Aterus, he has no second name because he is not of noble blood and normally no noble would ever associate with a commoner but Aterus was different my father told me that he found him in the demonic plains up north of the kingdom near the Shang’ah kingdom which is a desert, apparently according to Aterus my father saved his life and then in turn agreed to be my bodyguard. Aterus has been my bodyguard ever since I was 4 years old back then he looked to be in his mid-forties so it makes sense that his he lost to these bandits and here I thought he was the strongest, I hate my naïve past self.

  v My father is a very important person in this kingdom so he often had to go to far off places including other kingdoms so he was rather quite busy so it was Aterus whom I spent my time with most and he became something of a second father to me,

“Aterus your big dummy why do I, a noble lady have to participate in this barbaric act of training aren’t you my guard you’re the one who is supposed to protect me I can’t do that by myself “

“Come now young mistress this will benefit you in the end”

“NO, I refuse, you can’t make me”

Oh, what a fool I was to refuse that and that was only a year ago, if I had taken his offer I might have been able to assist him in that fight instead of cowering like this. Aterus’s head hits the ground and rolls, I step out of the carriage and run toward it but I trip and fall

*hic* sniff sniff* hic*

Tears stream down my face as my eyes meet with Aterus’s lifeless eyes and I see the pained expression on his face

“Alright kill the girl and we can get our reward and be done with it”

The bandit leader says and the bandit start walking toward me with disgusting grins on their faces that clearly show their intentions

“Hey boss how about you let us have some fun with this one after all it’s been a while”

“As long as you kill her afterwards, I don’t care, do whatever you want”

My eyes widen in surprise, I don’t know why am surprised really, I’ve heard that bandits do that to young women and I am no exception

“Someone please help”

I say in a low squeaky voice as I don’t really expect someone to help, this is the dark forest no one is gonna be here and even if there is someone, they probably know to avoid any bandit territories in this forest.

“Alright I think that’s enough don’t you think after all I’d rather not witness what rape looks like”

A voice is heard by not just me but by the bandits as well, it’s a calm low some what deep voice  after those words a man wearing a hooded black top and some blue trousers, he has a lean build I can’t see his hair but I can see his eyes are red and his face doesn’t show any expression, who is he? Does it matter? He’s here to help

“Look pal if you know what’s good for you, you’ll pretend you didn’t see this”

The man ignores the bandit leader and walks towards me and as he arrives, he bends down and I see his yellow hair and I notice that his eyes have three dots around another dot in the center.

“Uhm do you perhaps now where the nearest town is, you see I kind of got lost.”

 “Hey don’t ignore us”

The bandits shout angrily at this man who is currently looking directly at me and his question is quite out of place considering the situation is he an idiot or something but…

“Excuse me hello”

He waves his hand in front of me in order to snap me out of it.

“I-If you c-can help me out then I could guide you”

“You how dare you ignore us you wanna die because I could kill you just for that”

The bandit leader shouts and threatens the man and is still being ignored, whoever this man is he is quite bold... or stupid but at this point I’ll take any help I can get.

“Well then ojou-sama you got yourself a deal”

(MC POV)

“Well then ojou-sama you got yourself a deal”

I say to the red headed girl who has some resemblance to that other red headed girl I met earlier but that’s probably a coincidence this one is wearing a red debutant dress and her hair is made in to twin tails so clearly this one is a noble of sorts, I have my sharingan already activated and honestly I’d like to test it out. I stand up and turn around to look at the bandits

“Sorry for ignoring you guys it’s just that I have priorities you see”

“well, you’re gon be sorry for ignoring us, boys kill him”

Says the bandit leader and the bandits charge at me, alright then time for my first official fight in this world. I slight bend my knees and put up my fist, engaging in fisticuffs has never really been my forte but am pretty sure I could take chuck Norris with my current strength. With my sharingan open the charging bandits appear to be moving slow, the first bandit to reach me throws a punch and I dodge by moving my head slightly to the side activating my armament Haki I throw a punch towards his stomach and I punch through him, my fist entered his stomach and exited at his back

“whoops”

The man is wearing armor how the hell did a blunt fist punch through it, was his armor really that weak? The other bandits who were charging at me suddenly stop. I pull my fist out of the man and he drops dead, a shame really he could’ve lived longer  if he didn’t attack me or got himself some decent armor, human life so fragile.

“I suggest you all retreat not unless you want to suffer the same fate as your friend”

All the bandits shift their gaze toward their boss waiting for orders, well unfortunately for them they gave me an opening, I put some power into my legs and spring into action and picking up the sword that old man was using  and I behead the bandits starting with the one that is closest to me after be heading him I move to the next one then the next followed by the next, it’s pretty convenient that they lined themselves in a zigzag pattern  and what’s surprising about it all is my speed I mean I figured I would be fast but I just beheaded ten people in no less than a second that’s just insane.

“what the hell happened?”

The leader who just saw his subordinates drop like flies with their heads rolling asks the question, I’m pretty sure he can guess what happened seeing that am moving towards him with a blooded sword.

“I suggest you run unless you want me to separate your head from your shoulders”

Letting him go is probably a mistake but him running away means there’s going to be an enemy I’ll need to take care of in the future and he’s probably gonna come for revenge. I didn’t plan on having a dull life in this world, most isekai protags say they want to live their lives peacefully but those guys are just wusses what’s the point in being op if you ain’t going to raise some hell and flip common sense on its head?

“BASTARD!!!!”

The bandit leader took a swing at me so I dodge it by crouching down and deliver a palm strike right in his stomach and put just enough strength to send him flying into the distance. I didn’t want to kill him because he is probably going to come for revenge later with someone stronger at his back and I can crush him then.

 Turning around and I see a the ojou-sama holding the head of the old man and silently crying, such a shame I wanted to learn some fighting styles of this world but I arrived late, well whatever there’s gonna be plenty of opportunities later. I should probably wait till she comes down first but that’s going to take a while, with that thought in mind I sit down in a lotus position and resume my meditation. The blood of the dead bandits will attract monsters but I’ll deal with that later.

Through out this entire situation I noticed my body has been absorbing magical power so now I need to know how long this will take until it’s full so I’ll wait and yes, I sat down in the middle of the road with the corpses in front of me. I closed my eyes and enter my meditation state. The fact I just killed a couple of people and feel nothing is also quite surprising, have always been a psychopath?
