Zion woke up from his comfortable sleep as he smiled and got up from his bed.

After two months of living in the forest to level up his cultivation, this was his first time sleeping comfortably. He blamed his old self, as he was really too cautious of this fantasy medieval world, and his past self was really weak to fight or escape an ordinary person who had the strength of three earthlings—don't even mention the people who are star level too.

He would rather grit his teeth and bite the rope to train, becoming stronger like a maniac, then become someone who will always be at the bottom of the food chain. Gaia and his throne have chosen him to be a host, so he had to at least show he was worthy of such a wooden throne system.

Zion walked towards his room window to observe the bustling people walking while talking and laughing to one another. Before going to the washbasin to wash his face up.

He had asked the assistant innkeeper before if there was a bath in the inn, but to his dismay, baths were not offered in the inn; he could only use a washing basin.

"Well, it was better than nothing," he said, comforting himself in his mind.

He could not blame them, as for the people, having baths once a week was already good, and they have grown accustomed to using basins to wash their faces and bodies.

They don't have the concept of hygiene or knowledge about diseases.

"A new morning, a new beginning." He smiled and walked down the stairs to inform the assistant innkeeper to deliver some food to his room before returning to his room. To have some talk with his super-duper howdy system, Gaia.

*Knock*

*Knock*

An assistant innkeeper had been sent up to Zion's room half an hour later to deliver his meal. He had her set of trays down on a small table along the wall.

Zion gave her a tip of five copper coins and thanked her for the meal before closing his room's door to enjoy his meal while watching the bustling street.

An hour later, the assistant innkeeper came back to his room to take the plates and other trash from Zion, which he allowed.

Zion told the innkeeper he would be extending his stay for another day and paid her the fee before going down to see the famous tavern that was bustling with warriors.

The assistant innkeeper said that there are few star rank, bloodline, and magic users in the city, and sometimes some renowned names who have bloodline or magic are in the tavern to enjoy themselves and share information with the warriors who had taken the job to fight the beast outside the city, even though some of them are ordinary.

Zion learned that the tavern is like an adventurer guild, but it is more like a loose rope where merchants, nobles, and the citizenry post their requests for quests and missions.

As long as you are willing to risk your life, you are eligible to accept the quest.

Though, you will need to have the proper rank to accept them exactly. But if you are a star rank, bloodline, mage, or spirit user, you are not required to have a rank for them; these four are already more powerful by their own rights than an ordinary warrior without cultivation.

As much as 80 to 90 percent of the tasks are always completed if this four accepts them.

But seriously, Zion can't help but wonder why these people don't just establish an adventurer guild rather than use a tavern as a base.

Wouldn't it be way cooler and more organized?

But who is he to complain? He was just an outsider, after all.

(Mine your own business.)

After entering the tavern, he ordered a couple of different alcoholic beverages to try out while he was alone among the crowd of people who had stopped by to drink and socialize at the end of the day.

'Well, I never thought of drinking alcohol before when I was on earth,

as I don't like the taste of alcohol after all haha,

But hell with that, I'm in another world without soft drinks.

This is another world of fantasy and magic, I must also taste their recreational drinks.' Zion thought in his mind as he saw the drinks in his hands and gulped his saliva.

'Alright I welcome myself in this unknown world cheer' Zion took a big gulp of the alcohol before putting it back on the table, 'damn it's bitter'

"Hey kid, what are you doing here in the tavern?" asks a robust middle-aged man with scars on his body to the ten-year-old kid.

"Hey, haha, I knew you'd arrive, uncle.

Did you know the house Rios disowned the first young master for being a cripple uncle?" The kid started to ask a question to the middle-aged man.

"Kid, that information is old now, so I won't pay you, but I will tell you a story.

Are you interested?" asked the middle-aged man with scars, grinning as he wanted to tell a story he also heard.

"What?"

"Did you know about the myth of the Ghost Kingdom? One of the fishermen saw the kingdom island show itself to the world, and some in the empire took it seriously.

They said that the mythic kingdom was the most technologically advanced and was even more powerful than the three continents, empire, and kingdom combined."

"Hey Gord, don't cheat the kid with those stories like you did, in other cities, he's smarter than he looks, haha," one of the scarred middle-aged men companions said.

"Shut up, Baku."

Haha haha! Everyone who heard Baku's words laughed loudly.
