My book is now set to the side. A pair of desserts appear on the table. It’s decorated nicely. We begin to eat. I study her again. She seems rather young, in her early 20s maybe, I would assume. Should I ask? She may take it as me being rude. I’ve asked ‘women’ what their age is online and they haven’t seemed to ever mind. I suppose it wouldn’t be too much for me to ask. “May, I ask your age?”, I attempt to put delicately. “Time doesn’t really work that way here, or at least it’s not something that’s kept track of. It’s very different than how you may think”, she tries to describe.

I try to wrap my head around the information that she’s just given but it mostly leaves me perplexed. Although, I think I can still grasp the general idea behind it. “Are there other witches and familiars?”, I ask. “Yes, of course, many”, she says. “Nearby, in these woods?, I question further. “No. These woods are it’s own realm, you could say, and a territory. Once stepped foot into from an outsider, it sort of expands itself for as far as it’s owner wishes. It’s appearance is also made in the same way. It’s how many others of these sort of realms can exist near each other and every witch has their own realm, she explains to me. “The town you mentioned before, is it one of these realms also?”, I ask. “No, it’s just a town”, she tells me.

“Who is the person you want me to follow”, I finally bring up. “I don’t know, There’s been rumors spreading about unusual activity going on in the town’s cemetery and that someone’s behind it. I want you to find out who”, she says. “Couldn’t-”, I stop myself. She must want me to do this for a reason. If I asked why she doesn’t do it herself it may come off as me being insubordinate. She likely really does contain all the power here. I know as a man, in my world, i’m supposed to play the dominant role but these are completely different circumstances. Being defiant towards her will likely not go well for me. I really should tread carefully and only follow what she wants. “What was that?”, she asks. “Nothing, never mind”, I say. We continue eating our desserts. “When will I start?”, I ask her. “When your dessert is finished”, she informs me.

I’m not used to someone being this… ‘nice’ to me? She does want something out of me for it though. Although, anything involving two or more people does end up being nothing more than give and take. Well, i’m not really in any sort of position where I should even bother contemplating it. Just take the orders and carry it out. We finish our desserts. The dishes disappear from the table. She stands up from her seat. The chair pushes itself under the table. “Let’s get started then”, she says. “Ugh... right”, I say. My hand motions through my hair as I let out a nervous smile. I’m feeling rather anxious, I have no idea what to expect. I follow suite, I stand up and push my chair in under the table.

Sara walks to my side and puts her hand out beside her for me. I’m puzzled for a second about what she’s doing then I realize what’s going on. I turn to face her same direction and place my hand in hers. We’re both now standing at the edge of the woods, in front of the cemetery. It seems as though it’s now just turning to dusk. There’s a bit of fog in the air. “Remember, stay as a cat for the entirety of this”, she tells me. “Should I turn into a cat now?”, I ask. She ignores me. “How will I know when i’ve found the person i’m looking for?”, I say. “Just stay here in the cemetery, keep an eye out for anyone that enters”, she explains. She turns around, walks into the woods and vanishes.

I turn into my cat form and start walking around in the cemetery. I’ve never even been to a cemetery before. I’ve always thought of them as bad luck but now i’m a black cat so what harm can it do? I spend my time walking around the cemetery until eventually I notice someone. I walk towards the person to get a better view. “Don’t get too close”, I hear a voice in my head. It’s a girl with tied up straight auburn hair, flat bangs and thick black rimmed glasses. She’s wearing a white dress shirt, a short skirt, high black socks that go up to just under her knees and black platform high heels. She has a really nice body and her thighs look amazing. Dang she’s hot!, I think to myself.

She walks forward until a mausoleum rises from the ground in front of her. The door to the mausoleum opens itself and she walks inside. Great, it looks like it’s another witch, I think to myself with a sarcastic tone. “Follow her inside”, I hear the voice in my head again. Fuck, I really must be going crazy. With all the shit going on since i’ve been in this world maybe a voice in my head shouldn’t seem all that abnormal. Fucking bitch witches, I wish I could kill them both and take their powers for myself somehow. I run up to the mausoleum door and get inside before the door shuts itself behind me. I hope I can opensesame myself the fuck out of here when I need to leave.

There’s steps to go down so I walk down them then continue walking down a dark hallway path. Eventually I come across a split of two pathways, a left and a right. “Go left”, the voice in my head says. Damn, this voice is fucking annoying. Then it dawns on me. OH FUCK. It must be S- Sa-. Fuck!, i’m not supposed to say it. Hmm hmm hmm hmm, I start humming to myself in my head. Fuck this mission really sucks, I think i’m finally out of luck, I start to sort of rhythmically chant a made up song to myself. My witch is gonna have my head, by tomorrows end, I’ll wind up dead. I try to distract my thoughts this way. Fuck, fuck, fuck. I’m so fucking fucked! I’ll slit her throat and bleed her dry, all her power will end up mine. OH SHIT! I don’t even mean these words, i’m just kidding, it’s absurd. Something, something, me oh my. The red head witch, she looks so fine. I hope my witch, she doesn’t mind, I’ll stick my tongue between the red head’s thighs. FUCK! I’m still a virgin but so what, I’ll put my hard co-… What the fuck is wrong with me! Hmm hmm hmm hmm. I wish now that she was my witch then I’d give her all my di- Stop fucking thinking! Fucking shit! I smile, pretend because i’m real sly. My dumb, lame witch is no friend of mine. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. She’s going kill me! I can’t control my fucking thoughts!

I continue on until I reach a room and the auburn haired witch is there. I’m on a higher ledge, overlooking the room where she is. I crouch down to my stomach, trying my best to remain hidden from her. There’s a table in front of her with a covering over something. She uncovers it and reveals what it is, it’s a human corpse. What the fuck is she doing with a corpse? Errrrerrrrr, I hear groaning near me, it’s real close, coming from my side. I turn to look. It’s a fucking zombie! I start to run from it.

Retracing where I came from, I make my way back to the entrance door. Luckily it opens itself for me. I run out. Now i’m back on the grounds of the cemetery. Where do I go now? Where can I go? “Go back into the woods and continue straight, don’t stray from your direction”, the voice inside my head tells me. I run into the woods and run straight for quite a distance. The entire way is cleared of trees, but still they’re all lined up along the path to the sides for some reason. I finally get a glimpse of the cabin in the distance. I make my way to it and stop running then walk up to the door. The door opens up and I walk through, it closes itself behind me.

Fuck, i’m in real deep shit. Maybe she’ll be more lenient if I stay as a cat. She seems to like me more that way. I lower myself to the floor and try to make my way in quietly. Maybe she hasn’t noticed that I’m back. Fuck, she’s in my head, of course she’s going to know! I continue to crawl on the floor then I notice a white pale hand on the floor in front of me. I realize that I feel back to my normal human size now. Fuck, that’s my hand! I’m lifted off the ground and levitating over the furniture. I’m moved to the middle of the room, remaining up in the air. I see Sara standing in the room. I get flung into the wall. With my back against the wall, i’m now put into a T-stance.

“What was that you were saying earlier”, she says to me. “Ughhh, n-nothing. Just a practical joke, S-surpriseee, my voice lowers awkwardly towards the end. She doesn’t seem amused. “I-I didn’t mean it”, I try to say convincingly. She has a cylinder appear in the air. It sharpens out to a cone shape with a point at the end, pointed towards me. She launches it into my stomach, stabbing into my insides. “I know you know this”, “In your mind, that you know of, what’s the most painful way to die?”, she says to me. I’m looking down, in pain. “A-a wound to the stomach”. “It’s a very slow and agonizing death”, I answer her. The cylinder pushes in deeper, little by little over time. “I tried to make a nice home for you”, “is this the thanks that I get?” she tells me. “P-please, I didn’t mean any of it. I-it was just random thoughts in my head. It’s not like it’s something i’ve acted on. You’re punishing me for a thought crime. This isn’t fair!” I say, pleading my case.

She jams the cylinder in deeper and harder, I groan in pain as a reaction to it. “You know, I really do like your eyes. They change color in your world. Sometimes hazel and sometimes blueish green. Did you know that since you’ve been here, your left eye is now permanently hazel and your right is permanently blueish green. That’s unheard of, even here. You haven’t noticed? There’s no mirrors in here or windows, the plates, silverware, cups are made to not show either. And I saw through your eyes the entire time at the cemetery, you’ve never had the chance to see your reflection. Well, i’ll tell you. Everything regarding your appearance is the same besides your eyes. Anyways, I think I might pluck them out of your sockets and place them inside of a jar.”, she says. I’m- I’m sorry! Please I- Sar-… I cough up needles that fill up inside my mouth. I spit them out onto the floor along with blood. I continue coughing with my head leaned down. “You knew all long”, I say. “Of course I did. Did you really think I was naive enough to believe your fake smiles and fake politeness?”, she tells me. She forces my head up and keeps it forcibly leaned against the wall.

“I’m sorry. I-I know my place!”, I tell her. “That isn’t good enough” she responds. She levitates one of the needles to raise up from the floor and makes it come up to my left eye. My eyes are now both pried open. She moves it directly up to the pupil. “Please, I beg you! I’ll do anything! I’ve only done everything you’ve asked of me!”, I plead with her. She slowly pushes the needle into my eye. I let out a loud groan of pain. “Y-you already knew everything about me”, I struggle to say. “Not everything, i’ve only watched you in small glimpses of your life before, but I can look into your mind and see everything now”, she says. She holds out her hand just below my face, a leech appears in her hand.

“It’s a mind leech”, she tells me. She puts it up to my ear. “No, Don’t!”, I beg. She places it into my ear and it makes it’s way inside. She starts to stare through me. Then she lets out a laugh. “It’s all so pathetic!”, she says mockingly. “Your parents became addicts at the age of 14 and had you at 15. They had to give you up but your grandparents took you in. Your grandparents were religious zealots and you hated it. Your mother became a prostitute and eventually everyone abandoned you. You lived out your entire life alone because you were too afraid to open yourself up to anyone”, she continues laughing hysterically. “It’s all so cliché”, “what a joke”, she says. She puts her hand up to my ear and the leech is taken out. “I’m too bored to keep going with this”, she tells me. I’m in too much pain to respond. “Maybe I should drill a hole into your head next. You can’t die, you know, not now that you’re bound to me. I can do this to you forever”, she informs me. “I should also cut out your lying tongue. At least I wont have to listen to your endless idiotic questions anymore”, she says. There’s a sudden knock at the door. I’m dropped to the floor. The cylinder and needles have disappeared. I lay there in agony and humiliation.
