After lunch, Rei and Nana went their separate ways to attend their afternoon classes. Rei found himself feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as he made his way to his math class. The school's architecture was grand, with tall white columns and wide staircases that led to the upper floors. The classrooms were spacious, with large windows that let in the sunlight, and rows of desks and chairs that faced the blackboard.Despite the grandeur of the building, Rei couldn't shake off the thought of Nana, and how she had made him feel like he belonged for the first time in his life.

As the classes passed by, Rei found himself constantly glancing at the clock, counting down the minutes until he would see Nana again. His mind wandered as the teacher spoke, and he couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same way about him, if she too was looking forward to their next meeting.

Finally, the last bell of the day rang, and Rei made his way to the school's janitorial room where he had to clean the school as part of his extracurricular activities. The janitorial room was small and cramped, with cleaning supplies and mops lining the walls. Rei didn't mind it much, he enjoyed the peace and quiet that came with being alone. He took his time, methodically cleaning the floors and wiping down the desks, lost in his thoughts.

As he finished his duties, he stepped outside and was surprised to find Nana waiting for him. She smiled at him, "Hey, I thought I would wait for you and walk you home."

Rei felt his heart skip a beat, he couldn't believe that she had stayed just to walk him home. He felt a sense of warmth spread through his chest as they began walking towards their homes, chatting and laughing as they went. The streets were lined with tall trees that provided shade, and the sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over everything. They talked about their classes, their hobbies, and their families. Nana told him about her parents who were always working, and how she often felt alone at home. Rei felt a pang of sadness as he thought about his own mother, who had passed away a few years ago. He shared with Nana how much he missed her and how lonely he felt at times.

As they neared their homes, Rei couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness at the thought of saying goodbye to Nana. He had never felt this way about someone before, and he didn't want the feeling to end. He couldn't believe how easily they had connected and how comfortable he felt around her. He realized that he had never had a friend like her before.

Nana must have sensed his hesitation, because she turned to him and said, "Hey, I had a really great time today. Can I call you sometime?"

Rei felt a surge of happiness as he replied, "I would like that very much." They exchanged numbers and said their goodbyes, and Rei felt a sense of contentment as he walked the rest of the way home. He couldn't wait to talk to her again and to spend more time with her.

As he walked through the door of his house, it felt different, the silence that usually surrounded him was now filled with the memories of the day he had spent with Nana. He couldn't stop thinking about her and the way she had changed his life forever. He knew that he had found a true friend in her, and he was grateful for her presence in his life. He went to his room, sat on his bed and opened his notebook, writing about the day he had spent with Nana, about the laughter and the conversation, about the warmth in his chest and the contentment in his heart. He knew that this was only the beginning of a beautiful friendship and he couldn't wait to see what the future held for the both of them.
