Ever since the ship had entered Phase space, the Senator could only but think as to how they lost. The Union had more than thousands of ships while the enemy had only a hundred vessels and yet they still loss. Either way it's in the past, the Senator got up and exit out of his private quarters. As he walked through the corridors, he can only see wounded men both the Unianion military and from the Human military. He walked by dozens of Star Marines as they salute to him while the Humans just gave gestors. He noticed he's close by the bridge, so he hastily walked towards the sliding door. As the door automatically opens, he walked in and saw a disaster of fleet commanders and bridge crew scramble around the bridge. He saw the commadore on the platform in front of him, he walked towards him begins speaking.

"Commadore Leek, looks like a mess in here."

"Well Senator, because it is. We making sure we aren't being followed by the Enianions."

"Good, I feel a bit relieved. Now, tell me the damage."

"Starboard side the hull is damaged, but the Nanite hull can repair itself which would make the ship good as new. And as for the weapons, forward main gun is disable while the second forward gun isn't damage as well as the rear guns. BUT the Phase Containment field is damaged, lucky enough the repair crew managed to seal the hole in the Containment field but there's a problem."

"And that is?"

"Half of the Phase matter is now unstable due to atmospheric pressure getting into the Containment field. Because of the unstableness of the matter, we had to eject it out of ship."

"So, how much time do we have until total engine failure?"

"Engineers are vague, maybe three or four weeks at most."

"THAT SHORT?!" The loud voice startle some of the bridge crew but they continue doing what they were doing.

"Yes Senator, unfortunately the nearest Star Fort is only six months away if we can't use the Phase Drive."

"*Sigh* Alright find a nearest habitable planet so we can fix up our ship."

"Problem Senator."

"What is it?"

"The nearest habitable planet is only four weeks away but because we can't use the Phase Drive because the lack of Phase Matter, we can only make it halfway if we are using the standard Phase Engines."

"My day can't be any better, we can use our transport barge to get us there. The barge should have a small Phase Drive, am I wrong?

"No Senator, the barge has it and we barely used it. Meaning it should still be fully fueled with Compress Phase Particles (Basically a much smaller version of Phase Matter, it's mainly used by small ships/space craft) I'll relay the orders to get it ready."

"Alright notify me once it's done."

The Senator turns as he walks towards the exit. He returns to the bloody floored corridors, it's barely noticeable under the red lights of the ship. As the Senator moves towards his private quarters, he notice a Human standing outside of the door.

"Senator Brudrick Nouria, may I have a word?"

it was the commander of the Voluntary Combat Corp, the Human commander looked at the Senator with a serious and stern look.
