Chapter V - Sky Beast

Inside the ship

Voluntary Soldier's POV

A set of Voluntary Soldiers are marching down the corridor of the ship, carrying crates of medical and ration supplies to the Barge, the four soldiers turn right in the corridor and found themselves in another set of hallways/corridors. One of them begins to break their silent marching.

"Man, these hallways are sure a pain in my ass." One of the soldiers broke the steady beating of hard footsteps on the metal hard hull of the corridors.

"Can it, we have to put these supplies in that transport or the team down at the planet would have troubles." The sergeant said with an unnerving voice.

"But sarge we have been dropping off supplies for about two days, my god damn hands are killing me!" The soldier said to the sergeant.

"Don't be such a kid private, you need the extra muscles anyway." As the sergeant said that the two other soldiers chuckled.

The private turned at the other two soldiers with an embarrass face. A second later the intercom came on.

"Attention all military personal, barge is fully loaded with supplies well mostly loaded, insertion team prepare to be loaded into the barge."

"Shit, I think he was referring to us when he said that!" One of the soldiers said.

"Yeah No shit sherlock, alright squad march to that barge and join the insertion team." He said that to the three soldiers.

"Yes Sir!" The soldiers yelled.

Star Marine's POV

Most of the loaded insertion team are mostly human meaning they are Voluntary Soldiers; the last batch of the soldiers appear with the last needed supplies.

"Late as always sergeant." I said to the human sergeant leading that batch.

"Yeah, I know. I had to hold little Johnny's hand on the way to the Barge."

I chuckled a bit and replied, "Ah, little Johnny as always." The sergeant sat next to me with the technicians on my other side.

For this barge drop are mostly loaded with construction supplies and the small quarter of the supplies were either rations or medical gear. The insertion team is loaded with Voluntary Soldiers while the rest are technicians, only five Star Marines are present including me will be in this insertion.

The Barge intercom spoke out, "All supplies and soldiers are loaded up, closing airlock and unlocking clamps." the airlock doors close and lock itself with a very obvious glow of the doors being red. The Barge shook a bit indicating the clamps were removed, a series of humming can be heard also indicating the engines are coming on. A seconds later the humming is loud and seconds later the humming is louder.

Then

*HHHHHHTTTTROOOOOOOWOOOOOoooooo...*

The humming fades in and out then entirely the hum stops entirely. I looked through the widow of the side of me and see a lush planet with a good amount of water on it with asteroids orbiting the planet with two moons with it. The planet seems bigger then Fortem and the Humans I believe are comparing it to their home planet Earth indicating this planet is far larger than their planet.

The intercom went on again, "Phase Jump complete, prepare for planetary insertion."

Seconds later the Barge begins to shake a lot when entering the planet's atmosphere, a yellow glow can be seen outside the glass of the windows. A series of other shakings were more violent than a series of beeping's can be heard.

The intercom can be heard again, "Damn, magnetic interference is scamping our Phase Thrusters, got to use the Ultraviolet Plasma Thrusters for this, lads." The shaking slowly stops, and another set of humming can be heard but is entirely different from the ones that was being used a couple of minutes earlier. When I look at the window at my side, I noticed a set of wood and stone structures indicating a primitive city with large walls and us being this close of this place will stir up trouble...

"Oi, Pilot we are too god damn close of the Primitives!"

"Yeah, I fucking realize little man I can't do anything about it!"

"Why did you close into the Primitive City!?" One of the leading Star Marines yelled.

"Electromagnetic Fields are causing our sensers to scramble I couldn't see the damn city!"

"God fucking damnit!" One of the young Voluntary Soldiers said while listening to the conversation.

"Good news though, we are ten minutes away from our first insertion team's landing zone!" The pilot yelled to the rest of the insertion team.

Princess Dannia Sun's POV

In a major city of the Holy Farsar Empire, five miles to six miles away from the Landing Zone of the first Insertion Team

Ten Minutes before the second insertion of the Barge

I was walking with my Rose Knights to the training grounds, their white and red shinny armor shines the sun from their armors. Clanks are heard every second, I was leading the Rose Knights. I requested that my father let me command and personally customize my own army. An army of the strongest and by far the bravest women of the Empire, although being female many would assume that bad things were going to happen to these women, but they were wrong.

Me personally having two hundred overall kills, counting the number of bandits and hostile soldiers that I faced then there were the monster kills. I managed to kill a thousand Goblins, ten Onis, and of course a Giant Golem once. And there were the kills of my army, many of them killed fifty men with a hundred Goblins to one Oni, they were the pride of the Empire and the pride of the Hyman population being able to handle all kinds of monsters and armies, even the damn demon lord would fear us.

*Clank* *Clank* *Clank*

And finally, we arrive the army's personal training grounds and I began to speak, "Sisters! We must train to overcome more enemies in the future! Make sure to train hard!"

"Yes Ma'am!" All of the women yelled with excitement once again. It's been a while since we ever trained, and of course the training dummies are our enemies from pervious wars. All of them were either a sleep or passed out while some of them are dead with the constant beatings and stabbing. One of them woke up, when he saw us, his face deepens with despair.

"Just please kill me this time, I can't handle it anymore..."

"Eh, no I think we're going to have a little fun with you before ending you!" One of my officers said with a smirk.

The prisoner begins to cry a bit. "Just please kill me I had enough..."

"Nope, you'll just have to die on your own occur!" With a serious of giggles and laughs can be heard in my ranks, the man face deepens in sadness and despair.

Nine Minutes later

The man died of series of hits with stabs with our swords. The other men continue to scream as well as we hit or stab them, the higher-ranking Rose Knights either giggle or laugh at the men who the knights' look down upon them in the training ground barrack tower which they look over the other low-ranking Rose Knights which they seem pleased how they performed. Even myself was pleased how my Knights performed. My thoughts switch to the opinion of men, to me at least they were weak, weak that they shouldn't be called 'men' I just don't understand why the majority of the military is entirely made up of men it just questions me.

I wonder if it's the emperor's idea to have the majority of the men to be military personal while us women be their personal maids, so like any sane person, his sister, Empress Rachael Sun (my mother) ordered my uncle (The Emperor) to have military units to be entirely made up of women, because of history he did it without protest. *Sigh* Well at least there's no civil war or something else happen.

Without a second for me to think of something else, a distance sound could be heard, sounds like a violent hum or some sorts, I tried looking for where the sound was coming from, no sound coming from the ground, so I looked up and saw a big beast. Being weird in shape being able to tower a giant golem and of course being half the size of the royal balance, I was soaked up in fear as I saw it fly through the sky. Even my Rose Knights even shown the same expression as the big beast flown to the sky. It didn't look like a dragon or certainly as hell didn't look like a wyvern. So, I had a whole lot of questions rise in my mind as I stare deeply to the beast. We shock and fear rising more and more that some powerful being is around this place and soon I need to slay it.

I went back to my senses and yelled, "I want scouts to search and follow that beast until it lands! I want all hands on deck on this one! Roses! This probably be the strongest foe we ever face! So, my fellow sisters, I ask you fight alongside me and fight this beast!"

Every Rose Knight started to run, and the lightly armored ones having more revealing clothes for more recon missions was moving around gathering horses and sometimes the prototype magic bikes. I myself walk out of the training grounds with my Honor Guard Roses accompanying me to the royal palace of the Holy City of the Empire. I took my house as well as my Honor Guards did as well.

Moebuck's POV

I was eating until I finally heard that distinct sound, the Barge is back. I almost looked around the sky to look for the sky, but I looked around for my team around the compound. Until the Barge came out of nowhere and landed on the landing strip next to the FHQ (Field Headquarters) the airlock doors open, and the loaded soldiers and Star Marines exit out with small crates and some large crates.

"Moebuck! We got more groceries in the truck still, so get your boys down here and help us unload!" One of the Human soldiers yelled to me. I flinch to the Star Marines next to me and hand signal to them to handle the items in the barge I was going to help too but one of the Star Marines from the Barge stopped me.

"Honorary Privateer Second Class Moebuck Velso, I'm Constable Sergeant First Class Tynaus Juckio, I have unpleasant news as of right now."

A cold sweat came down on my face. "Um, what is it?" I said with an unnerving voice.

"The natives know we are here, we accidently flown too close to a city close to here. I told the captain to help us unload so we can have him go back to the ship and get more reinforcements here ASAP."

"Shit, that's more bad news for a week. Also, one of the native tribes or civilization had made contact with us and it went unwell, they kidnapped a patrol team and managed to extract a portion of our gene-seed. Hopefully it won't cause too much damage."

"Oh... no, I will relay this to the captain and share this news to the Senator. Like you said hopefully the damage would be too great."

"Yeah, also I wanted to ask, how long does it take for the Gene-fetus to grow? It's been a while since I did the extended Biology of the augmentations of the past."

"Well, it should give or take about threeish two fourish months, somehow the ancestors or the old collogues of the Sole Unianon managed to augment the genome of the old Unianons, because of declined of their population they made do to have the males to implant offspring to the females in older to create a more healthy and overall intelligent offspring since the combined genes would make it two times more portent. You said a native right? So, it'll only have half the intelligence of a Unianon and half the intelligence of the other parent. although some problems may occur in some points, such as the destruction of the offspring in the womb because of the rejection of the fetus from the body of the said womb, somehow the body would think it as an organ since the fetus produces a set of pheromones and recreates proteins to help the parent to be more alert or more aware of their surroundings."

"Ahh, still don't get most parts of that teaching, but still thanks."

"No problem."

Knight Lieutenant Louria Smith's POV

The best finally lands, as we remove ourselves from the horses and bikes, we silently walk towards the beast that landed, we found it in a middle of a meadow where a set of men can be seen roaming around. I noticed that these men don't look like your everyday bandit or raider, they look like trained soldiers or some sorts, half of them had green armor sets while the rest seem to have grey armor sets with different strips of colors, one of the green armor men looked like a commander of some sorts with his blue strips. Then I noticed him looking at the beast, I couldn't tell the expression of the man's face since it was covered in a helmet. Then I noticed something moving from the underbelly of the beast. A distinct sound could be heard.

*Skiiisssss* It opens like if it's a door or some sorts.

Couple of smaller looking soldiers walk out of the beast carrying crates and boxes, the large green ones and grey one armor guys were carrying the larger ones. One of the soldiers yelled towards the others in a familiar language, I could only understand some of it,

"Moebuck! We... items... back..." My translation was terrible, but I could guess this beast was some kind of supply beast. But that doesn't matter, what was the language called again? Geonie? Tnic? or was it Unglish?

A man walks out and had the same armor set as the rest of the green guys, but he had purple color strips on his armor set. He walked towards the one with the blue strips and begins to talk in a language I never heard before.

"Počasni vojnik druge klase Moebuck Velso, ja sam narednik prve klase Tynaus Juckio, imam neprijatne vesti od sada."

The man in the purple strips continue to talk.

"Starosedeoci znaju da smo ovde, slučajno smo leteli preblizu gradu blizu ovde. Rekao sam kapetanu da nam pomogne da istovarimo kako bi se vratio na brod i dobio još pojačanja ovde što je pre moguće."

So, I divert my gaze towards the other soldiers with the same armor skim since I didn't really understand the other two soldiers, they both could be officers or some sorts. But the ones in the grey armor made me curious as to what kind of cast they are.

Sooner or later, my answer came, the grey ones seem building certain structures and then that's what I finally noticed the big structure between the unfinished structures. It had a symbol on the side of the building.

The flag or symbol has purple around three shapes that is made out of white, the middle one is completely square like while the bottom and top one has a curve going up or down. I even noticed the same symbol on the shoulders on some of the green soldiers but instead of it being bigger like the one on the building, the soldiers had a smaller but something else about the symbol is different. It had a pair of wings on it as if it was some kind of angelic army or some sorts.

Before I could bring up another thought one of the green soldiers were patrolling next to me, I made sure I was out of sight, I noticed them being taller than us, their torses were bigger and the arms also seem bigger than that of a normal man. He even looks stronger than our current emperor. But what makes me fearful of them is what would the officers do against a 1v1 against the emperor, I learn in my military years it's mostly experience that hinders the soldier's rank, so I'm assuming these 'grunts' or 'foot soldiers' are the lowest tier in their military while those different shade of colors of the strip ones being the higher tier soldiers or they could be commanders or officers.

Before another thought the soldier in front of me almost spotted me before one of his buddies calls him over yet again in their unfamiliar language. So, it's time for my team to move out again, leave this place and report my findings. This surely would be interesting.

Four hours later

Brudrick's POV

A few seconds later, the barge returns once again, hopefully the insertion team is doing well down at the planet. I noticed the copilot of the barge quickly exits out of the barge and rushes towards the bridge. Quickly going through ladders and even through other Star Marines he continues to rush. Until he finally reaches the bridge.

The sliding doors open and reveal the sweating copilot. "Commadore!" The copilot yelled at the commadore.

"Yes, what is it pilot." the Commadore said with a calm tone.

"The Insertion team made contact with the natives on this world, I don't know many details but before we left, we saw troop movements coming from the city where these said natives' live. I recommend sending down armor vehicles to the planet with one gunship."

"Damn, our days couldn't be any better." The Commadore said with a calm voice once again.

"Shit, alright then plan B." I said, the Commadore then faced me to see as to what I have to say. "First things first, get all the essential materials and computers off this ship, scrap anything else that doesn't have any important value. Commadore, rig this ship with explosives once I leave with the next insertion team."

"Wait, you're going down there?" The Commadore spoke with a nervous pitch.

"Yes, if those natives saw us and find that base then I must go down there to help them and do diplomatic missions for these natives, I have to go down there so we can build the base in peace and that place where the base is highly strategic value of both resources and overall position due to the lack of towns, cities, villages nearby. Like I said about the resources it has a whole lot of material we can use to build an entire city under that set of rocks and dirt."

The Commadore sighs and said, "Alright Senator, I let you go down there but make sure to bring your Star Knights with you."

"I know the dangers down there; I bring my guard with me."

I turn the pilot and spoke, "Pilot make sure that barge is ready before I get there, I'll give you an hour."

"An hour sir?"

"Yes, an hour, I myself needs to prepare, right?"

"Yes, you do senator, I tell the captain and some Star Marines to assist the loading."

"Also make sure the majority of this insertion team be Star Marines, I figure we are going to need them."

"As you wish, Senator."

The pilot left the bridge and I soon follow, I started to walk through the corridors and saw the place I needed to go in, the sign next to the sliding doors read 'Strategic Armory, high ranking essentials only.' I open the sliding doors and walk in the room; I saw a dozen of Star Knights grabbing sets of armor or grabbing their Phase Spears or Phase Sabers, some of them bring out their Phase Carbines or Phase Repeaters to their shoulders before grabbing their melee weapons. Some of the Star Knights are out of armor revealing scars all over their bodies, some having cybernetics to replace certain body parts. The pride of the Star Republic, they themselves fought horrors across the universe and even faced off Phase Entities. Many of them are battle harden warriors who claimed millions if not billions of skulls from their enemies.

I walked to the end of the room where my own set of armor is at, clad with the best Alstar alloy coated with a clad of self-repairing nanites and even bits of a dead star being implanted on the armor. On the side of the armor set is the Senate Phase Weapons (SPW), the weapons are a mixture of melee and range alike, my personal favorite weapon, the Zadar Phase Saber, not to be confused with the regular Phase Saber, this weapon is strong enough to cut Alstar armor, having safety features implanted on it and even a personal AI that links itself on my armor it's by far the strongest weapon in the entire universe as I know it. Then I grabbed my personality modified Phase Carbine and set it next to the table next to me. I grab the skin suit next to me, took off the clothing I had on and put on the suit. Then after that, I went for the armor set, putting it on one piece at a time.

56 minutes later

Almost an hour after I had gotten all my gear and armor, I walked down the corridors till I reach the hanger where the barge is located. The Star Knights behind walked in a way it sounded like music to the ears of my ancient ears.

*Click* *Clank* *Click* *Clank*

After four minutes we finally reached to the hanger and noticed Star Marines loaded up with heavy weapons and even tactical weaponry. I noticed the pilot exit out of the barge and walks up towards me, I signal my Star Knights to enter the barge, the Star Marines soon followed.

"Senator, all supplies are loaded up for this insertion team."

"Good, oh yeah, I forgot to mention, how much fuel does this barge have if you don't mind me asking, pilot."

"Sir, the tanks are half, I think we can only have ten more trips before we run out of juice of this thing."

"Alright that's good enough, now we must leave."

"Of course, Senator."

The pilot and I entered the barge as soon as the airlock doors closed behind us. I sat down on one of the seats on the side and waited until the barge is flying out of the hanger and into Phase Space. 

'Well, this is going to be one hell of a journey...' I said to myself after we exited out of Phase Space.

Sorry for the slow post of this chapter, I've been very busy lately, so to make it all up I decided to make this chapter pretty long, it literally took me three days to make this chapter, I'm not going to number the words in this chapter because I'm going to assume it's more than a thousand words. 

After a while of remaking this chapter for a couple of weeks, I decided to mix them up and this is the result, after that I ran out of ideas as to what to put the last bits of this chapter going to be, so I decided to have the last bit being an armor setup. And the weapons I sort of ran out of ideas of that one.

Anyways if you read the entire thing, congrats you earned the trophy of reading a whole lot of words.
