Chapter 9: An I mythical Unicorn or a sage.

We stopped at the border post outside the kingdom where I was told to register myself a card even though I was accompanied by the princess, It was compulsory because without the card you will trigger the barrier set up by the Royal  Mages.

It turns out that my highest leveled profession is shown on the card by default, the card shows my Occupation Occupation level and Name. 

I got the <Sage Lvl 8>  before I got the hermit Title. 

Sage gave me resistance towards <charm> and <fear>  status conditions. It also gave me < precision mana control Lvl 9 > <Grand Wood Magic Lvl 8>  < Grace of Giga > ( helps speed up all plant growth and keeps them healthy)<Vitality Transfer><Cane Arts> <Mana Infusion>. It also gave me Yggdrasil essence.

The palace is enormous, with lots of demi-humans running around. I am welcomed by an entourage of maids and stewards led by the queen she had light emerald eyes and cascading Golden blonde hair. After looking at the princess I can only say that she is a small clone of the queen. 

I was escorted toward the king's chamber, in which there was a muscular middle-aged man with red hair and a red beard.

"Please cure him Lord Unicorn with your pure blood" Princess. 

" Sweety he is a sage, not a Unicorn, and speak toward the sage with due respect." Queen

I open my <Arcane lotus eyes>  ( 8 petals flower filled with silver and the rest of the pupil grey)

I use <mana sight> I don't see anything wrong with him. I open my <Eternal Eye> and I see nothing wrong with his spiritual state he's healthy as a horse. The only abnormalities I am sensing are increased, heart rate and fire mana coating on the skin. 

" Everyone, please leave so I can examine him further" MC

Everyone vacates the room I take a Phoenix feather filled with fire mana and Pure Vitality.

And I start tickling the geezer, he doesn't budge he is a stubborn one, the next option would be to scare him with an illusion I just showed him what I presume to be a few eldritch horrors again doesn't budge. This is getting tiresome I slam my hand on the geezer and start absorbing his Vitality (Hp points). 

" Are you trying to kill me " (enraged)King 

" Decided to stop acting " ( Calm tone) MC

After a little persuasion with the <vitality transfer> skill, the stubborn guy spilled the beans turns out this was a hoax to lure a culprit who tried to attack the princess. 

" Please protect and teach her Arcane Arts she is exceptionally talented with Barrier magic, I will reward you with a max level skill orb " King 

I agreed but informed him that I will be staying in the forest because I have a lot of projects there and I find it relaxing and comfortable. The King informed me that the place is forbidden because it is filled with Yggdrasil essence which causes everyone with insignificant mana or energy reserves to turn into a tree. Hearing this sent chills down my spine.
