The short comic has drawn enthusiastic responses from the readers.

Enthusiastic, but also civil. The insectoids are all discussing the troubles and problems being males, shemales and demis.

The three groups are clearly gelling better during the discussion.

Of course, there are arguments, but it is quite unlike the bellicose discussions elsewhere on the Internet, they are backing their own claims with their own examples and understandings. It feels more like a process of negotiation or a debate than a fight.

As the peaceful negotiations go on, some are also wondering about the comic artist again – is he a demi or a shemale?

There are even males who say, if they’re still not married yet, they wouldn’t even mind trying it out with the comic artist. They’re swooned.

The frivolous talk aside, Cheng Zhaoci completely failed to anticipate that his chibi-style, short and hurriedly produced comic without much artistic merit would mysteriously explode in popularity, even outside the comic circles.

Much faster than any of his other comics, too, like it’s on rocket skates.

He first came to appreciate this development through Lu Yao. He is here to ask for signatures from Cheng Zhaoci, saying that several old comrades of his have also read the comic and have become fans.

Cheng Zhaoci analysed the meteoric success, and concludes that it’s the simple plot, simple drawing style that made it easy to read along, and the fact that it hit the nail on what makes all males, shemales and demis embittered respectively, right on the head.

Quite as quickly as it exploded in popularity, it is also contributing to a marked decrease in acts of gender violence. Outside of some insectoids that are beyond saving in the first place, anyone who has read the comic has mellowed out, becoming better lubricated when it comes to the class of the other genders.

“Are those males insane?” Wei Zhuo is reading the comments of the males lining up to confess beneath that short comic.

This is almost a phenomenon exclusive to Cheng Zhaoci’s comments at this point. They are confessing now, but if Cheng Zhaoci released something saddening next, they’d betray him without a word and go buy out another advertisement space to chastise Cheng Zhaoci.

A clever reader has even termed this social phenomenon on males the ‘BombIn Effect.’

Well, to be honest, it’s a meme. The males are also not being serious in their proposal. Remember, BombIn’s signature has changed to reflect his taken status a while back already. Only a true scumbag of a male would ever try to steal someone else’s shemale or demi.

Wei Zhuo might know it’s a meme, and that Cheng Zhaoci is also male, so nothing can happen between him and those males, but he’s still upset Cheng Zhaoci is being mass-proposed to.

“Well, think of it this way. Mr Cheng Zhaoci is practically a winner in life like this. Getting proposed to be so many males would make the wet dreams of so many shemales, don’t you think?” Meng Yuele pats Wei Zhuo on the shoulder.

Meng Yuele is doing his best to crack jokes, as he’s also been feeling pretty down recently, unlike his usual talkative self. More males have been kidnapped, which only worsens his mood. He’s scraping by reading the comics in between going out to fight.

It’s pitiful, yet it is also a burden shared by his many colleagues.

This isn’t even taking into account the fact that Cheng Zhaoci has not released as much as before. He used to release stuff arcs at the time to satisfy his readers, but in his latest comic, he’s released only one chapter so far, depicting the protagonist’s journey back in time.

So Meng Yuele has to keep telling himself, he can’t give up hope or falter now, and definitely can’t afford to die on the battlefield yet. He still hasn’t read the comic in full!

Yes. That is his motivation.

Childish, but effective.

“I’m worried that the mister is too excellent,” Wei Zhuo sighs. Being so exceptional a male, would he really stick to only having him by his side? Probably not.

Not that he is questioning the purity of Cheng Zhaoci’s feelings, but there are so many insectoids in this world. There must be some that are more handsome than him, more caring than him, and such. If they decided to go after him… One he can handle, but if a whole group charges at once? There’s nothing he could do.

Besides, sure, all of those males could be meming along, but he can’t guarantee that for every single one of them. What if? What if, one or two of them, are the type that would be fine even knowing Cheng Zhaoci is a male…

Wei Zhuo is losing all hope in the future.

“Be more confident! You’re a great shemale too,” Meng Yuele pats Wei Zhuo on the shoulder some more, “if we won this next fight, it’d probably be enough to push you into Group Captain! You’re our only living grade S shemale! Start acting like it!”

The speed at which Wei Zhuo’s military career is progressing is definitely terrifying. Scarcely anyone has ever heard of such an expedient career path. They can’t even be jealous, because all of Wei Zhuo’s merits are fought with flesh and blood through mortal peril one after another.

Although his capabilities fail to help reinforce his confidence any when his lover – his very popular lover – is being confessed to by so many. Lack of confidence breeds doubt; though in Wei Zhuo’s case, doubt and frustration simply making even more merciless a fighting machine.

Now he’s already on the top list of insectoids the pirates do not want to run into.

This morning, when Wei Zhuo went on a mission with him, they ran into a group of patrolling pirates. They were both in mechas, but the other side had mechas moving so stiffly Meng Yuele felt like he could see right through them to the faces of resignment inside.

A stroll into a natural predator – the hopeless feeling of knowing there is no escape, and everything is over. When they made the final assault, the pirates even seemed determined to make one last stand.

Though the struggle was for naught – they were all caught alive and packed into a neat group for Wei Zhuo to take back to base. Oh, yeah, Wei Zhuo missed that guy’s head by nary an inch. The group of caught pirates is still shaking inside the prison, waiting for the gavel of justice to fall.

“Oh, right, the pirates that were filmed doing… that to Mr Zhao. They’ve been positively identified,” Meng Yuele reports. The face of the poor old male was right in plain sight in that video, while all the known techniques for obfuscation were applied to the pirates within.

Insectoid identification technology is far better than what any group of space buccaneer could muster, though. The AI was given access to the entire database the insectoid directories had. The pirates were thus identified through bodily features and other such irrefutable signs.

It took slightly long because the authorisation and such needed to be approved.

Apparently, the results came back when Wei Zhuo was taking the tied bunch of pirates to jail.

“Has the Marshal said anything yet?”

“The pirates in question can be summarily executed if identified,” replies Meng Yuele, while also sending the photos of the pirates in question to Wei Zhuo, “I’m pretty sure Jin Yue wouldn’t be letting these fuckers out any time soon, though.”

Jin Yue is extremely protective of his ilk, to an almost psychotic degree. What ever his insectoids-in-command did, even if it were utterly perverted and unforgivable, he’d protect them without question, even if they were deeds even the insane Jin Yue wouldn’t touch with a twelve-foot barge pole.

Wei Zhuo doesn’t care if Jin Yue would or would not let them out on missions. He knows Jin Yue; back when he was still an ace student of the Academy, Jin Yue was fiercely protective of his friends. It simply worsened when he’s gone off the deep end.

For example, back when he first met Cheng Zhaoci on the landfill planet, Wei Zhuo had Jin Yue’s underlings captured. He only held off on doing anything because Jin Yue would not risk harm befalling them; by that time, Jin Yue had already had countless shemale and demi lives in his hands, leaving males alone only because of his phobia.

“None of them would escape justice,” Wei Zhuo narrows his eyes, “Jin Yue might hide those bastards away, but we’ll find them, and we’ll cap each of them between the eyes.”
