Cheng Zhaoci knows Wei Zhuo still feels really down about it. In fact, so is he. Yet Mr Liang is definitely right about one thing – that life must go on. And it should be lived well, too.
Instead of heading home, the two of them take a detour to granddad’s house for a meal. While Lu Yao seems vaguely dissatisfied with them, for some reason, he still welcomed them.
After receiving a call, Cheng Jin has also made his way over. It turns out he will be out on a mission again quite soon, so this is probably the last meal they can share for a while.
Then there are also Zhou Luoluo and Zhou Xiaobao, who barged in after hearing they’re having a ‘party’ together.
When Cheng Zhaoci finally arrives, he realises, there are still other insectoids present.
The President? The Chairman of Chief Command? Bai Jun?!
Well, they do fit inside the mansion. And they’re all at least familiar with each other.
On the table, too, in spite of the many friends and family members present, Cheng Zhaoci is still happily focusing his attention solely on Wei Zhuo without the slightest bit of embarrassment. He keeps putting food inside Wei Zhuo’s dish, too.
Suddenly, Wei Zhuo furrows his brows, and touches his mouth, like he’s trying to cover it.
Cheng Zhaoci’s eyes glimmer, as he suddenly shoots straight up, almost spooking Zhou Luoluo into spilling the soup he’s holding all over himself the next seat over.
“A-a-are you pregnant?!” Cheng Zhaoci’s voice is definitely one of excitement.
From his experience reading all the novels in his past life and watching all sorts of soap operas and dramas, when the lead has such a reaction during this type of reunion event, it’s highly likely he’s pregnant!
Wei Zhuo tilts his head, “uh, what?”
The other insectoids all look at Cheng Zhaoci, then back at Wei Zhuo.
Honestly, this is rather sceptical. The successful rate of impregnation among grade S insectoids is really low. Even if the two of them were doing it every single day for 8 hours a day, they could expect perhaps 3 or 4 offsprings from their entire lifespan. This feels really unlikely.
Still, Cheng Zhaoci looks so certain that the other insectoids are also doubting themselves.
Finally, the President Bai Jiawen speaks up, “just in case, you should go check.”
So after the meal, everyone takes Wei Zhuo over to check.
The President, and Chairman, and a Grand Marshal and grade S male make quite the entourage. Fortunately, Bai Jiawen has the roads cleared in advance, so no one else could see.
Finally, when the report comes, outside of an ecstatically dancing Cheng Zhaoci, the rest of the insectoids are all confused, including Wei Zhuo, Mr Pregnant himself.
Sure, it’s a good thing. He’s bearing the son of his xiongzhu and himself. But how? How did Cheng Zhaoci realise he’s pregnant? Because he furrowed his brow a little? And had a little bit of a lurch?

Yes, grade S shemales rarely feel uncomfortable like he did, but how did he immediately realise it was pregnancy?
Not just him, but the other insectoids wonder too. In the end, they all decide to chalk this mysterious ability up to his grade S male abilities.
Grade S males are also natural gynecologists, huh.
Though never mind all that for Cheng Zhaoci, since he is most concerned about Wei Zhuo. Seeing his serious look, Cheng Zhaoci’s happiness fades as he asks, “how are you feeling? Are you not feeling well? Does it hurt? Or are you feeling unprepared, if you really are…”
He doesn’t really have an obsession with having children. If this pregnancy is really too much for Wei Zhuo, then Wei Zhuo’s feelings must take precedence.
“Of course not! I’m fine!” Wei Zhuo is also really happy once he throws the question of how Cheng Zhaoci realised behind him. He hugs Cheng Zhaoci, locking his legs and lifting him high, “I’m really happy! I’m so glad, xiongzhu.”
So Cheng Zhaoci finds himself hoisted high up in the air “…”
This feels like an odd scene. Shouldn’t he be the one hugging Wei Zhuo? Even though he really doesn’t have the strength to lift the muscles either…
Well, never mind.
Then, as per procedure, Wei Zhuo got his holiday extended for a maternity leave.
During this time, BombInMyPants also started updates anew.
Outside of his magnum opus the ‘Theoretical Time Turnaround’ series, he’s also releasing sweet short stories on the side.
He’s drawing them with an even cuter style than he ever has. It’s almost refreshing. And he’s ostensibly drawing them as spin-offs of the little zombie king, but everyone who knows what’s going on knows it’s practically depicting Cheng Zhaoci and Wei Zhuo’s daily life.
Evidently, it’s funny, sweet, completely without sadness. Oh, except in the form of feeling sad that the readers experience in that they don’t have such sweet love in their own lives.
Though Cheng Zhaoci being Cheng Zhaoci, BombIn’s little spin-off comics are diabetically sweet, while Time Turnaround continues to be diabolically tragic.
The readers alternate frequently between crying and laughing – like a dog and then like a mental patient. Some of them swear they’re developing dissociative identity disorder from all this.
So, for once, the males’ have failed the bid for advertising space for their romantic pursuits, as frustrated readers are there to wail about their plight at the hands of BombIn.
Mixed with a message of congratulations, of course, that BombIn is going to be a father.
How did the readers know? Well, it might be obvious if, say, BombIn is writing at least two status updates per day to that effect to bombard the news into the readers’ eyes. They’d have to be blind not to know.
So, damned BombIn, fuck off with their blessings! It’s so irritating to see him displaying public affection every living moment of daylight.
