Chapter 16

A New Story

Translated by boilpoil

Males generally act unabashedly and freely, without constraints. Their attitudes are only marginally improved when talking with other males.

And they usually spend time with other males, too, finding the passionate pursuits of nearby shemales and demis an annoyance.

Zhou Luoluo here is a classic example of a male insectoid sick of shemale and demi attention. His appearance is especially popular amongst the shemales, and he has received all sorts of gifts at school.

But, at 15, he’s still in some sort of ‘chuuni‘ phase. He despises the popularity and the noise.

Ah, if only they would leave him alone! All the attention and passionate gazes! He wants to be part of the common people with a common lifestyle!

However, he also doesn’t enjoy the company of males in general, as he thinks their highfalutin attitude is simply revolting.

Today, he is just visiting his regular coffee shop to continue his habit of staring at the sky at a 45-degree angle in loneliness, ignoring all the loving gazes showered from shemales and demis around him. He will be the solitary, independent white flower in this turbulent world. He enjoys the solitude.

Though when he walked past a noodle shop, he saw Cheng Zhaoci.

Oh, goodness!

Cheng Zhaoci is handsome, but that’s beside the point. The point is, his whole unwelcoming aura that makes him feel distant and unapproachable! It’s something Zhou Luoluo likes to a fault!

A quality that Zhou Luoluo really desires but cannot attain. So he’s marching forth! Marching forth, trying to be friendly to him as per his father’s instructions for socialising.

The “look at you, little clumsy cat” is so forced and cringeworthy that Cheng Zhaoci’s toes are curling up in second-hand embarrassment.

And it appears the very feminine-looking male is about to clamp on his chin with his hand. Cheng Zhaoci has had enough, and grabs his hand, “what? Tell me what you want like a normal person.”

His tone is nowhere near gentle, and is more of a warning. Males, enjoying the protection of the law and society in general, are generally treated with extreme courtesy, but Cheng Zhaoci himself is a male, so as long as it doesn’t devolve into physical fighting, male-male arguments are usually ignored.

Ah! How brusque! Usually males employ roundabout sarcasms and tones of mockery even if they really are angry. Males like Cheng Zhaoci are certainly rare. His personality is so amazing! Zhou Luoluo is very pleased indeed.

Cheng Zhaoci just watches, as the male, grabbed at the wrist, is staring at him blankly, until he starts blushing. So he quickly throws the wrist away, and in his panic, looks behind at He Huaijian for help; though neither He Huaijian nor Xiao Ji has ever seen actual, typical males of the Federation at all. They don’t know what to do either. So finally, Wei Zhuo has to come to the rescue, “excuse me, mister. Am I correct in assuming that you are Flying Officer Qian’s male son?”

After having confiscated a billion videos and images of males, Wei Zhuo is able to identify most of the popular and good-looking males by name and identity. This male here is popular for his appearance, but he is not exactly personable, he’s heard.

Zhuo Luoluo has finally taken notice of the three shemales about Cheng Zhaoci, and appears stunned as soon as he sees Wei Zhuo’s rather intimidating appearance. Then he yells sharply, “why would you marry such a disgusting concubine?!” Well, on second glance, the shemale actually seems fine in appearance. Though that scar on the eye really is too striking. Does he not care about his appearance at all as a shemale?

Calling someone ‘disgusting’ to their face is extremely rude. Cheng Zhaoci’s face sours, “have your parents never taught you how to speak properly?”

“Huh?” Zhou Luoluo looks confused, “what do you mean?”

“I mean exactly what I said,” Cheng Zhaoci gets up, “Officer Wei, let’s leave,” he isn’t going to get into an argument with the male insectoid here, knowing the most likely outcome is that they each think the other one is clinically insane. They grew up differently and have entirely different morals. Neither could ever convince the other if they really got into heated argument.

Cheng Zhaoci is keenly aware of how out-of-place his general attitude is in the insectoid society. That, however, is no reason for him to accede to what he believes is fundamentally wrong.

“Mhm, alright,” Wei Zhuo stands up, followed by the two teenage shemales. Xiao Ji and He Huaijian both look quite unhappy.

They’ve only ever known one male insectoid – Cheng Zhaoci. They have only a vague, general idea of what males are like, and because of Cheng Zhaoci, they assumed males are just less polite versions of Cheng Zhaoci.

Xiao Ji still had a dream of finding a handsome and cool xiongzhu, but he finds his dream falling apart at the seams.

The male insectoid’s tone conveys quite clearly that he does not treat shemales on equal footing. Well, they do know that males and shemales are unequal in insectoid society, but they never ‘knew’ knew this difference first-hand.

Wei Zhuo is actually the calmest one right now. He grew up on the Capital, and many males have expressed their repulsion at him since he was scarred. If he cared at all, he’d have gone for a simple surgery to remove it a long time ago. He just did not want to.

The pain and humiliation when the wound was inflicted is something he does not want to erase.

That aside, the male insectoid Cheng Zhaoci’s response is a pleasant surprise, once more. The male from before simply disliked him, unrelated to Cheng Zhaoci himself. In fact, from his tone, he seems to like Cheng Zhaoci, too, but because of his unkind language, Cheng Zhaoci became angry.

Would growing up on a landfill planet really cause such a drastic change in personality? Making a male like Cheng Zhaoci? Wei Zhuo does not know. Males like Cheng Zhaoci may be unique, since no insectoid in their right mind would leave their own male son on a landfill planet.

“Hey! Hey! I said wait!” Zhuo Luoluo doesn’t understand what Cheng Zhaoci is angry at, and just left him behind. He’s also male, ok?! He’s here to make friends! Why is he leaving?

“Mister, whatever you wanted to talk to me for, I doubt anything fruitful would come of our conversation,” Cheng Zhaoci returns a business smile, the kind that is only surface deep.

The interruption has completely decimated the teenage insectoids’ curiosity of the Capital for the day. Wei Zhuo tries to cheer Cheng Zhaoci up, “it’s really nothing. The male is simply speaking his mind honestly.”

“That’s wrong. He’s just blind,” Cheng Zhaoci disses, “a scar is such a handsome trophy. He has no sense of aesthetics.”
“And is he… like, one of the better ones among the males?” Cheng Zhaoci can’t help but want to ask.

“He is. Most males have… a propensity for specific interests. They enjoy feeling empowered,” but without much actual strength, they can only ever do so by lashing out at shemales – the ‘war machines.’ What a great body they have. Durable, regenerates quickly, obedient and easily abused. They find pleasure in what is borderline torture.

Wei Zhuo does not say those out loud, but Cheng Zhaoci isn’t actually a naïve 16-year-old who grew up sheltered in insectoid society. He already knows what ‘specific interests’ Wei Zhuo is referring to.

Hells.

He feels his stomach churn. Just imagining one of his good childhood friend marrying such a male with ‘propensity for specific interests’ and leaving the dum-dum Xiao Ji all wounded and scarred, Cheng Zhaoci will find it immensely difficult to hold himself back from wanting to solve the problem with a brick and a hard place.

He really knows already that the insectoid society is twisted. These subgenres, insectoids, omegaverse, sentinel/guide, they all only gained real popularity when appropriated for writing fetishised obscenities. But, knowing is one thing, experiencing is a whole other thing.

With no other males he knows on the landfill planet, the problem never struck him. The Capital, though, is the ground zero for real insectoid society.

Cheng Zhaoci had the great fortune of transmigrating as a male, as the group enjoying the benefits of this highly unfair, unbalanced society.

He suddenly has a spark of inspiration. A story.

He might not be able to transform insectoid society at large. He’s just one male insectoid, and he is all too aware he lacks the charisma and resolve needed to push for revolution.
But even if he can’t force everyone, as long as there can be another insectoid – another male, even – that realises the scope of the injustice. He simply needs to sow a single seed!

Thus motivated, Cheng Zhaoci quickly leaves the three others behind after returning to the house. He has to get the main storyline sorted now, the major plot points.

He still has another ongoing comic, so considering the difficulty of maintaining two ongoing projects, he needs to keep the story short. Maybe something with six or seven chapters.

And of course, he can’t just have the characters go ‘equal rights’ or ‘fair treatment.’ Not a single insectoid will be interested in reading.

He’ll make the protagonist a male. One of those typical, prideful males. His dad will be dead, the reason – whether from war or from his own father – will be left open.

The male insectoid will be going on a trip when the warp engine malfunctions and transports him onto a landfill planet instead, and the ship breaks entirely.

Cheng Zhaoci is all too familiar with the landfill planets, so the background detail can be finished quickly.

The male insectoid has to conceal his identity on the landfill planet, and so comedy ensues from his outlandish ideas. He’ll draw it with as light a tone as possible.

Before he put those plans in actions, a mute but strong shemale, here to salvage the crashed craft, discovers his male identity. He helps him keep it a secret, though, and, being honest to a fault, he simply pities the male.

So the main plot here revolves around a daily life between the mute shemale and the male. The mute shemale can’t talk and is too frank, so he will get undercut a lot. Oftentimes, the male, disguised as a demi, will do the negotiating and pushing with those insectoids that are here to trade with the shemale. The tone will continue to be uplifting and light.

One day, the male, hailing from a highly developed planet, and proud and noble because of that, will promise the good mute shemale, that he will offer him rescue too when they leave this junkyard for good. He will tell the shemale about all the great food he can eat, and all the great males he can introduce him to. What an honour for an insectoid on the landfill planet, who can never even hope to have a xiongzhu in their entire miserable lives!

The mute shemale will look thrilled.

The rescue has finally arrived. The male insectoid makes good on his promise, and brings the mute shemale to the developed planet with him. He shows him all around these fun places, wowing the shemale and giving him the tour of a lifetime.

Then he will introduce the mute shemale to his male friends.

A male friend will graciously accept him. Though he already has a cijun, but you know, he’s from the landfill planet. It’s such an honour he is accepted as a shemale concubine, you know?

The male insectoid will be glad for his good, mute shemale insectoid friend, because now his only possible dream of having a xiongzhu is fulfilled. He will be happy his entire life.

Then one day, he’ll see the mute shemale standing at his front door. He looks wounded. The male insectoid will still be a bit far away from the entrance, but he will see the shemale open his mouth. But, he’s mute. He can’t say anything.

Before the male insectoid can check on him, the mute shemale runs away.

The male wouldn’t think much of it. Shemales often fight, don’t they? He’ll be fine.

It will be a while – perhaps a month – later, that the male finds a new restaurant he wants to take the mute shemale to. Ah, what great joy it is that developed planets have such refined cuisine compared to the ‘food’ they have on landfill planets. He must invite his saviour to try it with him.

However, he will not take the mute shemale friend with him. Because the mute shemale has died, only the following day that he went to look for him. He died naked, disgraced, with wounds all over his body.
