Chapter 3: A Day Before The Entrance Ceremony

Similar to heaven and hell, this universe was divided in two dimensions. Both the dimensions were like the opposite side of the same coin empowering each other.

The dark dimension utilized the negative energy that stirred up from the light dimension and light dimension utilized the positive energy that stirred up from the dark dimension.

But, as I always say, a cynical mortal nature; the negative energy generation was far vast than the positive one. Jealousy, Anger, despair, fear, ignorance, impatience, insecurities, inhibition, inflexibility, malicious desires, etc. oppressed the positive nature of happiness, trustworthy relations, loyalty and open-mindedness and many more.

Over the passage of time, negative energy got bottled up in the dark dimension resulting in massive increase in the potential and raw power of the creatures residing in dark dimensions, whom we call 'Devils' as of now.

The barrier separating two dimensions got weak which led to the mergence of both the dimensions. Portals started to appear in light direction and devils appeared through those portals. They found a certain species of light dimension delicious aka humans, thus started their slaughter.

As I mentioned a moment ago that these dimensions were the opposite side of the same coin, they could not be allowed to merge or have a massive power difference because; a coin with only one side does not exist, therefore, cannot be categorized as a coin anymore, it becomes a token. A broken token which holds no value, ready to be discarded.

That is where minor gods came in, they provided assistance to conscious and intelligent creatures, again aka humans. They hailed themselves as constellations. In order to make humans understand or beware of their power they gave everyone a sliver translucent screen also called 'Status' that was only visible to humans individually.

The protagonist is an exception though, a tragic past of losing friends to devils at the time when children don't even know meaning of relations, resulted him in acquiring a special status screen with an installed AI and many more overpowered cheats that boosted up his growth by approximation of hundred folds. Now you might be wondering that there were many people who suffered more worse tragedies than the protagonist, but why none of them got this system?

The answer's simple, he is the protagonist.

Currently am in the dorm assigned to me, a luxurious fifteen floored building with my apartment being on the top floor. Each floor had two apartments, means that this building was the residence of thirty students of elite class, A-1. The students were assigned apartments according to their ranking order, top floor for the first and second rank; first floor for the twenty-ninth and thirtieth rank. the rest were in different dorms which were not  as spacious and luxurious as this one.

The Academy entertained students for three years. First year's students started off from grade A and went up to third year in grade C. There were five sections in grade A, A-1toA-5, A-1 being the elite's section and rest in the descending order. Similarly, Grade B had four sections and grade C three.

Moving inside the master bedroom I went towards the bedside lamp and rotated it in a clockwise direction, the instance I did that the black wooden almirah acted as a gate and slid open inside. What came in my view was a spacious white room with gym equipment and weaponry kept on the borders of the room. It was obviously for training.

'They could have just made a simple door, I feel like some secret agent reporting on his base.', I thought.

The sun was already set and the wooden furniture of the room with a see-through glass wall of the apartment created a relaxing atmosphere.

I arrived at the academy yesterday, i.e, eleven January and have been in my dorm since then, so I decided to go on a stroll and have a look at the faculty, I was also craving for some burger.

Exiting the apartment and locking the door I reached in front of the lift and pressed the button.

I walked inside the elevator and the gates were about to close when someone shouted from a distance,"Hey wait!!".

So I pressed the hold button in order to let the gates stay open. A moment later a girl jogged her way to the elevator and stood beside me. Then I pressed the button with G inscribed on it.

I glanced at the girl who was continuously staring at me, she had black hairs, golden iris and well toned teen seductive body along with a beautiful face and fair skin.

Noticing my gaze she stretched out her right hand in order to greet me and said,"Stella Gracia".

I responded to her greeting by accepting her handshake and introduced myself,"Kael Hashirae".

Now you might be wondering why main character isn't the rank two, it's because he lacked resources and space to utilize and grow his powers up to the level of elite students, but even with not putting in any effort at all he was able to achieve rank thirty, perks of being a protagonist.

The person besides me is the first main heroine, Stella Gracia. Her father Stephen Gracia is an american and the guildmaster of the second largest guild in the world ;and her mother is a Korean and an A ranked auror  also a beauty who had an affair with my teacher.

She is a mixed breed.

"Going to take a stroll around ?", as expected, she started the conversation.

"Yeah, I haven't acquired about the faculty first handedly.", I replied. Well the moment I arrived here I went straight to my residence after parting ways with Henry.

"Would you like me to be your guide ? I have been here for a week so am familiar with the directions", she asked with a look of expectance in her eyes and justified her reason for asking the question.

"Then I'll be in your care for the time being", I replied rather amusedly.
