Chapter 636: The Yinyuan Sect

The surrounding human ancient martial art practitioners frantically looked in the group’s direction. Everyone could see that the atmosphere was off between the three of them.

“You’re actually attacking me because of this brat?” Gong Zhangyan said hysterically as he furiously pointed a finger at Mo Wen’s nose.

He had courted Pei Fengwu for five years. He had always believed that even if Pei Fengwu did not fall for him, she would have good feelings about him. Now though, she had clearly put aside all considerations of allowing him to save face in front of so many people and had instead chosen a youth that had just joined the Vermillion Bird Palace Hall.

“I’m clarifying this again. This matter has nothing to do with Mo Wen. Gong Zhangyan, there is nothing between us, please do not pry into my affairs,” Pei Fengwu said with a cold look on her face.

Pei Fengwu had always done things as she pleased. She would befriend whoever she wanted. She did not need him, Gong Zhangyan, accusing her of things.

“I knew it. The men who join the Vermillion Bird Palace Hall are all trash. You b*st*rd, I will kill you right now.”

Gong Zhangyan roared loudly. His eyes were crimson as he took a step forward and indiscriminately sent a palm strike towards Mo Wen. It was as though Mo Wen was his own son that he could punish as he pleased.

Gong Zhangyan’s cultivation was high and was far superior to Pei Fengwu’s. He was only a step away from breaking through to the later stage of the Golden Elixir realm. He was also enraged and so did not hold back.

A green light enveloped Gong Zhangyan’s hand. Everywhere it passed, the space was distorted. It seemed that he could use his palm to slice out a scar in space itself.

“Presumptuous.” Anger welled up inside of Mo Wen. He did not want to fight with others over emotions, but others wanted a mile after getting a foot. They took him for a soft persimmon that they could knead as they pleased!

An overbearing aura emanated from Mo Wen. His cultivation was already high and now instantly increased twofold.

The Glory of Thunder! The next moment, Mo Wen’s aura reached that of an ancient martial arts practitioner at the pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm.

Mo Wen merely moved his arm in a simple slapping motion. Gong Zhangyan was sent flying backward without any resistance at all.

As his figure moved through the air, Gong Zhangyan furiously spat out a mouthful of fresh blood. His complexion was pale.

“Zhangyan!” An exclamation sounded, followed by a silhouette dashing past. A figure appeared behind Gong Zhangyan and supported him from behind. The figure was an elder dressed in blue. His hair and beard were white, but his gaze was piercing. He wore a big ring on each of his hands. The rings were dazzling.

With the boost from the Glory of Thunder, the power of Mo Wen’s strike was astonishing. When the elder caught Gong Zhangyan, his elbows dropped a little. The elder almost couldn’t catch Gong Zhangyan because he was caught off guard.

“Little b*st*rd, you dare harm my grandson? Who gave you the balls to do so?”

The elder realized that Gong Zhangyan was badly injured and his face was as white as a sheet. The elder was enraged and glared ruthlessly at Mo Wen.

A terrifying aura burst out from the elder’s body. His aura far exceeded that of a pinnacle of the Golden Elixir realm ancient martial art practitioner; its power was something that only a Martial Arts Grandmaster would possess.

Gong Zhangyan held one hand to his chest and furiously spat out two mouthfuls of fresh blood. He looked at Mo Wen in disbelief. He had lost. He had actually lost. And he had lost so bafflingly. The youth was just slightly more than twenty years old. How was it possible for him to be so powerful?

All this while, Gong Zhangyan was enveloped in the halo of a genius. He was showered with praise on a daily basis. As time passed, he truly believed that he was a genius of a level rarely seen in the world. Hence, he even looked down on his peers, let alone those who were even younger than him. He hadn’t even thought that such people would be dangerous.

Before this, Gong Zhangyan had sensed an extraordinary cultivation aura from Mo Wen. Mo Wen seemed to be at the intermediate stage Golden Elixir realm, however, Gong Zhangyan hadn’t taken him seriously. Mo Wen was so young, even if he had the intermediate stage Golden Elixir realm cultivation, he wouldn’t be a worthy opponent for Gong Zhangyan.

But reality was so cruel. Just one strike, and a simple strike at that, from another person had caused him to be severely injured.

Pei Fengwu’s eyes were wide open. Her small mouth opened slightly subconsciously. She looked in bewilderment at Gong Zhangyan, then turned to look at Mo Wen. What was happening? How could Mo Wen possibly send Gong Zhangyan flying with just one strike? With Gong Zhangyan’s ability, if it was the other way around, she would not be surprised. But the current situation had shocked her so much she was speechless.

Since when had Mo Wen become so powerful?

If she did not know Gong Zhangyan’s character, she would even have believed that the two of them had purposely acted it out for her to see.

Mo Wen put his hands behind his back and stood expressionlessly. He didn’t want to fight with others, but it didn’t mean that others could bully him casually. Even when faced with a Martial Arts Grandmaster, he had never backed down before.

“You little b*st*rd, you are courting death.” The elder in blue robes saw that Mo Wen still remained calm and collected when faced with his questioning. Mo Wen did not seem to have any intention of backing down and was clearly looking down on him. The elder immediately felt a rage building up inside of him.

He took out a bottle of pills from his sleeve and, after feeding them to Gong Zhangyan, put him on the ground. Then, with a dash, the elder disappeared from his original spot.

The next moment, a frightening aura surged towards Mo Wen. It came from all directions, surrounding him from above and below. An ethereal light image appeared without sound or presence around Mo Wen’s figure.

Mo Wen’s facial expression tensed up. His immense Inner Qi frenziedly circulated in his body. A Martial Arts Grandmaster was against him: he did not dare to be careless.

The Cries of Hades Bell and the Purple Bottle Gourd appeared in his hands without sound nor presence.

“Old Man Gong Xingyu, your temper is still so explosive. Is it appropriate for you to be bullying a junior at such an old age?”

Just as Mo Wen was prepared to block the Martial Arts Grandmaster’s attack and take a leap, a fluttering voice sounded. The next moment, a silhouette appeared beside Mo Wen. With one hand, it blocked off the Martial Arts Grandmaster called Gong Xingyu.

Appearing dressed in black, it was none other than Pei Fengwu’s master, the Sirius Mystery Dimension’s number one swordsman, Zong Changsheng.

“Old Man Zong, are you interfering in this matter?” Gong Xingyu’s expression turned sullen. A Martial Arts Grandmaster was blocking him, and it was the famous number one swordsman Zong Changsheng. It seemed quite impossible for Gong Xingyu to continue finding fault with Mo Wen.

“Old Man Gong, we are both oldies now. It’s better for us to stay out of the business of the younger generation.” Zong Changsheng carried a dark red long sword in his hands and he stood in front of Mo Wen. He didn’t emanate any aura, yet not even Martial Arts Grandmasters like Gong Xingyu dared to come forward.

“Master.” Pei Fengwu greeted Zong Changsheng softly and stood behind him. She knew that her master had most likely saved Mo Wen because of her. Speaking from another perspective, her master was standing up for her. Gong Zhangyan was too annoying, yet she couldn’t do much about him, so all this while she had been forced to hold her frustration in and ignore him.

“Old Man Zong, Maple Forest Valley and Yinyuan Sect are the leading large sects in the Sirius Mystery Dimension. In the last few years, our two large sects have been interacting well with each other in a harmonious relationship. Could it be that you want to destroy the relationship between the Maple Forest Valley and the Yinyuan Sect for a nameless b*st*rd?” Gong Xingyu said with an ugly expression. Zong Changsheng coming to stop him had made him look bad.

Their Yinyuan Sect and the Maple Forest Valley that Pei Fengwu was in were both large sects of the Sirius Mystery Dimension. There was no feud between the two sects. If they encountered any matter related to ancient martial art practitioners from outside their realm, they would still support each other.

Yinyuan Sect had hoped to take their good relationship a step further with the help of Pei Fengwu and Gong Zhangyan, becoming sects joined in marriage. In the future, they could then join forces and develop together. However, they did not expect that not only would Pei Fengwu not agree to this matter, but the Maple Forest Valley would also shirk away again and again. They used the excuse that the matters of the young ones should be decided by themselves.

Right now, the Maple Forest Valley’s Sect Grand Elder Zong Changsheng was finding fault with him, Gong Xingyu, over a brat that they did not know. Zong Changsheng must see no value in the friendship between the two sects.

“Old Man Gong, don’t blow things out of proportion. The relationship between Maple Forest Valley and Yinyuan Sect is not something for the two of us to decide. This matter is also unrelated to the relationship between the two sects. Since my little Fengwu is involved in this matter, then as her master, I naturally must stand up for her,” Zong Changsheng said plainly.

He had his reasons for acting in such a way. He would never overlook such matters because of the relationship between sects. This was this and that was that. He could ignore Gong Xingyu bullying a junior. But since Pei Fengwu was also involved, then it was impossible for him to turn a blind eye.

Gong Zhangyan was bossy and arrogant. Anyone could see that he was going against a youth because of Pei Fengwu. Now that he was in an unfavorable situation, his elders had shown up to save the situation. It was just too shameless. Zong Changsheng could not stand by and watch such a thing occur before him.

“When it involves your disciple, you want to get involved; so when my grandson has been severely injured by others, who should get involved?” Gong Xingyu said angrily.

Another voice suddenly sounded. “This grandson of yours is bossy and arrogant. He actively began provoking and attacked first. Now that his skill is not as good as others, who is to blame?” Unbeknownst to Mo Wen, another person had appeared beside him. The new arrival was wearing cloth robes and held an ancient jade seal in his hand. Mo Wen glanced at him and laughed bitterly. The person was none other than Gao Hanshan.

Not long ago, Mo Wen had just escaped from his clutches. Who would have imagined that he would encounter Gao Hanshan again so quickly? The members of Gao Clan knew Mo Wen’s identity, and they had a complicated relationship with the Ming Cult. Without knowing the attitude of the members of Gao Clan, they remained an unknown variable.

“So it is Gao Hanshan of the Zhen Wu Mystery Dimension. Elder Brother Gao, as the clan leader of Gao Clan, this doesn’t concern your clansmen. Why are you sticking your nose into this matter?”

Once Gong Xingyu saw Gao Hanshan, his expression turned cold. Zong Changsheng appearing to stand up for Mo Wen could be explained because of the involvement of Pei Fengwu. This Gao Clan leader, on the other hand, had no reason to be involved yet had also appeared to stand up for Mo Wen. Did they think that Gong Xingyu was a pushover?

“I do not like to stick my nose into other people’s business. But since it concerns Mo Wen, I need to meddle,” Gao Hanshan said plainly. As a Martial Arts Grandmaster, he did not need to be afraid of Gong Xingyu.

“What does this matter have to do with you?” Gong Xingyu said angrily.

“This youth is the honored guest of our Gao Clan. If you want to harm him, you will need to get our Gao Clan’s permission to do so. Also, everyone here clearly knows what happened. You have some nerve to stand up for your incompetent grandson,” Gao Hanshan said as he laughed coldly. He had no intention of considering Gong Xingyu’s image.

While they were bickering fiercely, in the distance, many ancient martial art practitioners had their arms crossed as they watched amused. The matter did not concern them, so none of them wanted to get involved. Also, this matter involved a few Martial Arts Grandmasters. No one could simply meddle in this matter.

In the distance, Jin Ying frowned and muttered to herself. “Since when did Mo Wen become so powerful?”
