At the top of a large hill, sidelined by a small river, lies the Dark-Well tribe. With gigantic log spike wall surrounding it, standing nearly 12 feet tall with watch towers periodically placed around it.
The guard jump from watch tower to watch tower, ever watch full of the then outside.
Arriving at the main gate, Kaivan and Kvata made their way through the gate.
“Welcome back, young master.” Greeted the gate guard, bowing his head slightly.
“Tio, good to see you as well. How have things been these last few days?” inquired Kaivan.
It’s been nearly a week since he returned from the forest. These journey that he was going were needed for the cultivation of his iron, only then could he be given the ceremony to become an iron-borne.
“Some merchant from the Sai empire passed by a few days ago. After that, no issues so far.”
“Sai empire? Here?” Asked Kaivan, clearly not expecting the mention of the southern empire.
“Yes sir, no idea why they were here, but they were. I’ll keep an eye out for anymore info if they return.”
“Thank you, Tio. You’ve been a wonderful help,” Kaivan Tapped Tio’s shoulder, smiling as he whispered.
“I’ll see to it you’re well compensated.”
“Only doing my duty, young master, Kvata.” Bowed Tio, escorting the two inside.
As the two made their way into the street, a loud booming of aura spread out at the center of the settlement. Sensing the violent aura, the two of them rushed their way toward the direction of the source.

Loud arguing can heard echoing from within the main hall, it’s thick wall of stone and wood could do nothing to shield the yelling from the outside.
An uncomfortable aura spewing outward from within, filled with anger and contempt. It’s essence changing the environment around the building slightly, the main hall will have to be renovated and purified again after this.
“AND DO TELL…WHAT DO YOU INTEND ON TELLING EVERYONE ELSE ? THAT WE WERE THE AGGRESSORS? THAT WE WERE THE ONES WHO ATTACKED FIRST?” screamed one of the Dark-Claws, his mouth almost foaming at the mouth.
“It’s quite simple really. Yes, YOU were the aggressors. And yes, YOU were the ones who attacked first. And I, for one can not wait to make you bastards feel the ‘edge’ of my blade.”
Basira, the Grand elder. speaking with contempt, completely abandoning any foregoing niceties.
“Now, now, We are here not to cause any trouble, not to mention. We are currently negotiating a truce, yes?”

Said a man by the side of the Dark-claw side, clearly not one of their own, nor does he looked or acted like one of the northern people.
“And…who…are…you?” Basira tilted his head, looking back him.
This man, dressed in imperial clothing beneath a coat of wolf fur. A scar over his left eye, a lion’s mane like hair covering his head. A sly grin, and sharp eyes.
“My name is Skarr, a humble representative from the Sai empire. Here along with the Dark-Claw tribes to negotiate the truce between the two warring tribe. An honor to meet you, grand elder of the dark-well tribe.”
Bowing slightly at Basira, still keeping that sly grin.
“I must say your reputation does not do you justice ‘deep water Basira,’ had it not for your ‘intent’ I would never to be able to predict that you would be here with us. Again, it is an honor to meet your presence. And I must sa…”
“Enough,” said the grand elder curtly.
“why are you interfering with the matters of the north-lands? Don’t you imperials have more pressing matters to handle?” asked Basira, clearly displaying his disdain for the man.
“The empire does not seek any conflict with the tribes people of the northern region.’ Assured the man. “As a matter of fact, the empire would like to have a cooperation with the tribes, all of the the tribes.”
"And what do we. The barbaric, uncouth tribes of the north-lands have, That could garner the attention of the Sai empire?” Asked Basira, observing if there is even a tiniest changes within Skarr’s expression.
“Imagine, if there is a way for the tribes of the north-lands to join the empire, yet still remain entirely autonomous of the many bureaucracies of the empire. Wouldn’t that be an interesting thing to think about?”
“Skarr, this was not what we had agreed upon.” Interrupted one of the men from the Dark-Claws, clearly agitated by the sudden declaration.
“You were here only to help us negotiate the truce, nothing else.”
“Of course, of course. Only a suggestion, nothing to think too deeply abou..” As Skarr was about to continued his charade, the door at the end of the hall opened abruptly.
Stumbling inside in a rush was 2 young man, Kaivan and Kvata managed to made it in time. Or so they thought.
“You’re late, get in here and sit down.” Basira called out, shaking his head slightly.
Turning his attention back at Skarr as he introduced the two to him.
“The deputy chief of our tribe, Kaivan Dark-well. And the other, the future master of the hunt, Kvata.”
