Chapter 2: Gooey bois

Everything was dark.

Where am I? I began to question. It felt as if my body had been torn apart and put back together. Soon a rush of cold air and bright light began to blind my senses. I feel the warm ground pressed against my paws. I open my eyes to see a clear field far as the eye can see. A tree shades me as I dig my paws into the ground.

What was this feeling? Where am I? How do I go home? But why would I want to go home, I began to think.

A cool breeze blows as the grass begins to sway back and forth. I felt free for the first time in my life. I roll into the grass dirtying my coat.

“Ah the dampened ground feels so good...”

Wait a minute did I just talk?

It began to sink in.

I CAN TALK, I CAN ACTUALLY SPEAK.

The thoughts of why I’m here and where I was began to disappear. I didn’t care anymore, this was sweet. I began to hum a song that my mother would sing to me. When I noticed something in the distance. It looked like a green ball of jelly?

Letters were displayed above it’s head but I couldn’t understand what it said. Along with the letters came a green bar under it. Curiously, I walk up to the creature and reach to touch it with my paw carefully. That's when the monster opened its mouth and swallowed my paw whole!

“AHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING” I screamed.

It didn’t hurt but in my peripheral view I noticed something saying '-1 Hp'. I didn’t know what it meant but I figured it wasn’t good. I struggle but with no results.

“That's it I’ve had enough!” I take my other paw and stretch out my claws.

*WACK*

With one hit the creature burst leaving a slimy residue all over the field.

“yuck!” The sticky substance is a dirty substance with a medicine smell.

Suddenly a screen blocked my view. The only thing I recognized was the number 1. I remember my human teaching it to me when he was giving me 1 treat. An invigorating feeling rushed through my body. I felt powerful. Did all the blobs make cats feel like this?

The screen disappeared after a while. I looked further past the grass and found a bunch of these gooey guys bouncing around. With one swing each I took them out.
