Chapter 6: Chapter 5- Smack Down

(Earlier)

In the elven embassy in the city of Olndale (The capital of the frontier). Standing around a table with a map of the local area a team of royal guards know as shadow squad. They are know for disappearing threats for the kingdom of light.

"As you know the adventuring team that was with my daughter died and set off there alarm enchantments that were put on them all of them but my Alexandria's enchantment so she is still alive, because she is to marry into the royal family its up to us to rescue her" Says Aegnor an old elf with a serious face and long white hair. His specialty in the squad is as a arcane archer also he is the squad leader leading it for nearly 700 years.

"What were they doing there" Asks Lefaye. She is the youngest member of the squad but none the lest she is a formidable rouge. Young with big eyes and dyed dark green hair. Her weapon of choice is dual  wielding daggers

"They were investigating ruins that was believed monsters were conducting raids from on the near by town Olisgow" he replies pointing to a town on the map that's near a mountain range.

""How are we getting" there asks Vali. She is the team Arcane Knight combining heavy armour with arcane firepower . She has sapphire blue hair because of her exposure to pure mana and glowing eyes. She is a standard sword and shield user.

"I've been give allowance to use the echo door" He replies professionally. The echo door is an artefact that allows a group of people to teleport to a persons last location before they went indoors. It's one of many artefacts horded by the many humanoid royal families.

"So everyone get ready and be back here in 15 minuets then we will head out". States Aegnor with imperceptible worry on his face.

"Don't worry granddad we get auntie out and safe" says Bailey, He is a powerful priest and is Aegnor grandson. His father is Perilastanor Aegnor's son and Alexandria's brother. Young but wise beyond his years and his hair is short and blonde. Constantly he leans on his staff.

15 minuets later the team has reassembled around Aegnor holding the echo door. It is a small carved wooden door. Aegnor holds it and thinks of his daughter and transporting his team to her location then he sits it back into is mount that's on the table. Suddenly a portal apereas and the team cautiously cross it. They appear in front of the ruins door either side of it is the same statue as before a millipede wrapped around a warrior about to take a bite of him.

"Fuck this is a monster temple goddess knows what the monsters found down their" says bailey as he inspects the ruins.(Its known that monster temples hold things created by the dark goddess Hesper herself)

"Lets hope its a demonic artefact that we can take back and hand it over to the inquisition" States Aegnor hoping the situation wont get weirder or worse.

"Lets go" says Vali with her kite shield up in front of her as she walks into the ruin.

The team form up behind her as they enter the ruin. They have been in the ruins for ten minutes by then they have been hounded by goblins but the goblins have never engaged them in a full on fight. Eventually they final coroner and kill one of the groups of goblins corralling them.

"Dammit they are leading us some where and I don't like it" grunts Lefaye.

"Neither do I, there up to something we will need to wait for them to enact their plan and then we can counter it and get to Alexandria" Says Aegnor as he pulls his arrows out of the goblins bodies.

They are given the run-around for a bit longer till they are in a dead end. Lefaye is so frustrated that she doesn't notice the teleportation trap. "Ahh Fuck" they all say in unison.

They are teleported into the fighting pit they look up and around and notice hundreds of goblins cheering and shouting.

"Looks like were are todays entertainment" Bailey says gripping his staff tightly while looking around.

"We play along for now and look for a chance to escape" States Aegnor calmly.

They spend the next five minutes fighting goblins but they seem determined to waste as much time as possible. Aegnor thinks to himself what are they making us wait for? As they finish of the last goblins in the arena. Before he could start pondering the question he is asking him self its answered when the goblins that were cheering watching the fight suddenly go quite.

Suddenly the pixie Aofie appears in the middle of the area up in the air she starts shouting. "In the red coroner the elven scum that have decided to invade our home" she shouts as she points at the elf's

Before they could interrupt her see points over to the portcullis at the other end of the arena. "Born just yesterday but can easily kill us all and he here to show us how it is done your dark lord Ryan" she shouts as the portcullis opens.

The elves watch in curiosity that slowly turns in to horror as see Ryan walk towards them.

"I thought we stopped the dark goddess from making demonic hybrids?" Bailey asks nervously.

"She must have only made one so she must of been rushed if we work together we will be able to take it" Aegnor states with confidence.

The elves move up together then on Aegnor's signal they split up, Vali charges forward empowering her sword and shield with arcane power while Lefaye skulks in the shadows looking for a weakness in the target. Aegnor starts firing off empowered arrow at what he thinks are weak points and bailey starts casting powerful buff spells on everyone. Ryan meets Vali's charge by raising his head up to headbutt her. Instinctively Vali raises her shield to block the blow put when his makes impact with the shield everyone hears a sicking crunch followed by the agonized scream of Vali as her arm is crushed by the impact.

"Shit" shouts Aegnor as he fires a smoke bomb arrow to provide cover so Bailey can tend to Vali.

Bailey is only able to stop the pain Vali will have to fight with are shield arm just dangling by her side.

While this is happening Lafey jumps in and tries to jam a knife into Ryan's under side. He sees this and hops to the side avoiding the attack. He then counters by casting a fire ball form the antenna closest to Layfae who narrowly dodges shouting "be careful it can cast magic"

They elves regroup "need a plan" Vali grunts

"Its under side must be its weakness" states Lafey

"Get it to exposes its underside then I will hit it with heart piercer" Aegnor 

"Watch out" Baily shouts as he jumps in front of everyone and raises a holy barrier just in time as it is struck by Ryan's Infernal eye laser the barrier holds but after the attack Bailey faints from mana exhaustion.

"Fuck stick with the plan" shouts Aegnor.

They regroup then they charge forward Lafey assists Vali  while Aegnor holds back and charges heart piercer. He lowers him self and slowly draws his bow pouring power in to the arrow.

Vali gets knocked back by Ryan's legs. Lafey tries to strike the underside of Ryan's head causing him to raise his forward half up to avoid the strike.

Taking the chance now Aegnor loses the arrow and it strikes his underside. Ryan flails around screaming then falls over landing on his side. They held their breath for a few moments to see if he was breathing but he was perfectly still.

"We did it" Vali says full of hope the elves look up and see the goblins stare back in shocked silence.

They regroup then Aegnor picks up bailey they then slowly walk up to Ryan. Once at him Lafey kicks the bug and laughs. However horror slowly crawls on Aegnor as he can hear Ryan laughing quietly but before  Aegnor can do anything. Lafey goes to kick him a second time but when her foot is in mid air Ryan head snaps up with his mouth open and he grabs Lafey by the leg biting down with brutal force  taking her leg off at the waist. As she collapses screaming Ryan starts eating her leg. Lafey screams "its eaten my fucking leg". As she starts applying first aid to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile Ryan turns to face Aegnor raises his head and opens his mandibles in to a fucked up toothy smile covered in Laffey's blood.

Vali charges with a rage filled scream, Aegnor drops bailey as he turns to her to stop her but it is to late. Ryan quick knocks her over then uses one of his leg to pin her down threating to impale her. Aofie speaks into Aegnor mind "I suggest you surrender and you will see your daughter". Aegnor pauses for a moment then says "I will never surrender to monsters" he then drops his bow and charges Ryan. The last thing he sees is Ryan swipe his head to the side slamming into Aegonr causing his world to go black.

When he recover he sees that he is in his underwear and he is bound and gaged he looks around and sees the rest of his team bound and gagged. They looked miserable and defeated. Aofie flew up to them then told them through telepathy "Follow me". They started to follow the pixie while Lafey was picked up by a bunch of goblins as they walked into the gloom of the ruins.
