"How did you feel, Luna? Inside the labyrinth?"
Basking in the little sunlight peeking through the curtains, a couple consisting of an otherworldly silver-haired young girl and a handsome blond youth laid down on the bed while embracing each other.
Their naked body squeezed in an intimate space as Austin asked in the context of his previous concern.
Luna thought for a second about the peculiar sensation she felt for the second time in her life. Straightening her posture, she rested the back of her head on Austin's arm before answering.
"It was a strange feeling. Unlike the demonic artifact which suppressed my life energy, the chills from the labyrinth made it seem that I never had something called mana inside of me. Like the connection from the actuality was getting severed inside that hole."
Austin nodded as he also felt that the reach of mana became scarce in the depth of the labyrinth. It won't be weird to say that the wormhole built underneath the Academy was restricting mana entirely.
It was like a vacuum space.
Even Austin had limited his mana; he could still feel the disability like a prominent limb had been snatched away from him.
Since he believed Luna had a unique kind of mana, he wanted to hear her opinion on this, and strangely or not, the conclusion came out the same.
"Might be some kind of divine artifact again?"
Luna sensed Austin's uneasiness since he gets bothered by something he isn't completely aware of. She was also troubled by the peculiarity of the labyrinth, but she didn't pay much mind until Austin brought it up.
"Might be, but I think there's something more to it."
Austin whispered in a profound manner before he took something out of his inventory.
By outer appearance, it seemed a pouch that carried some fluid as Austin brought it closer to Luna before asking.
"Can you assess this?"
With a perplexed frown, Luna looked at the pouch before nodding as her eyes shined with a cyan hue as she appraised the thing inside within ten seconds.
"Grade 'S' venom, which might put sleep to this whole school if another of those pouches gets mixed in the next meal. Highly resistant to Holy Magic and belongs to a serpent which I have never assessed until now. Other than these, the most concerning fact is that the venom doesn't contain an ounce of mana."
Austin nodded and gave an admirable smile to Luna, making the latter shy away. Putting the bag inside the inventory, Austin arranged the strands of her beautiful hair before tucking them back of her ear, as he further commented.
"That's what I thought. The creature that I battled in the labyrinth, wasn't utilizing mana and was just relying on its physical characterization. It was the first time I faced someone without essence or curse energy yet so decently powerful."
Venom, despite being lethal, couldn't harm superhumans like Austin until mana isn't injected into it. But here, the thing which came out of the serpent queen was dangerous even to Mana-wielding humans, despite being completely natural.
"How can such a being doesn't have magical essence in them? And even if they had, I guess that environment in the labyrinth would become their deathbed."
Luna muttered under her breath, which Austin was also thinking, but soon he brushed the matter off as he calmed Luna's growing curiosity.
"Well, we won't find answers until we dwell inside the abyss. And for that, we have to make various preparation so halt those thoughts for now."
Saying so, Austin turned toward Luna before hugging her fondly in his embrace. Luna also didn't hold back in snuggling close as she smiled in delight.
But soon, her eyes parted before she narrowed her gaze toward the man as she asked in a suspicious tone.
"Austin~What's this hot thing sticking to my belly?"
Austin grinned as he replied, "Why don't you appraise it too?"

"Why are you guys so late even though we talked about eating breakfast together? Now it's already mid-noon."
Inside the semi-crowded cafeteria of the Eden Academy grumbled a charming raven-haired woman as she chewed on her prawn salad.
"Ask your brother. He didn't learn the word restrain, I think."
Luna also grumbled as she felt the stings on her neck which, despite getting healed, gave a burning sensation. Not to talk about her butt.
Austin, on the other side, had an apologetic smile on his face as he passed mixed herb soup to his lover and got up to get a lot of sweets to fix her mood.
Saya wasn't a child to not understand what could have made these two's arrival delay. But there wasn't anything she could do other than lower her gaze and accept the reality.
Luna's eyes observed the troubled storms inside Saya's mind as she asked in a bland tone.
"Don't tell you've already given up, dear Imouto-chan~."

Saya didn't have the mood to retort the teasing as she continued eating her salad which started to seem a little tasteless now.
"Will it even make any difference? Onii-sama would never look at me as a woman."
Said in a defeated tone was the girl who had almost lost hope in making her brother see her in a different light. Whatever she tried resulted in nothing.
"Well, you didn't approach him properly."
Hearing Luna's remark, Saya narrowed her gaze before she asked in a heavy voice.
"And what is that?"
"Lean your head forward."
Despite being baffled, Saya did as Luna asked before she started whispering something which Saya had never expected to hear from her.
**WHISPER**WHISPER**
"A-are you serious about that?!"
With wide-eyed, Saya asked after she listened to every detail Luna gave her.
"Of course, it would. I know your brother the best in those departments, after all."
Luna confidently announced as she resumed her soup while she waited for the treat Austin had gone to get for her.
Saya remained silent for several seconds before a natural query came out of her lips.
"Why are you helping me seduce Onii-sama when you love him so much? Won't you fear that I might snatch him away?"
Luna answered in a way that it seemed she anticipated such a question.
"I just pity you. I wasn't with Austin for long before we became a couple, and you spent years with him yet failed even to make him see you as a potential love interest. And about that snatching away part. You might get some of his love, but at the end of the day, I will always remain his first woman, dear Imouto-chan~."
All of her words were spoken with utter confidence, like she believed Austin's favorability on her more than anything. Saya was astonished for a second before she smirked.
"Well, don't blame me if I become his second favorite."
"What are you guys chatting about? Here it's yours, Saya. And the rest belongs to Luna."
Austin appeared all of a sudden as he placed a plate of Apple pie in front of his sister and half a dozen of different desserts for his angered lover.
Just as he put down the last plate, he sensed something approaching him before he twirled on his toe and caught the little thing in his grip.
Loosening his hold, Austin found it was a mana mail as the two women asked almost in unison.
""Who is it from? ""
Austin's eyes were solemn with a little spark hidden behind his emerald gems as he whispered under his breath.
"Mother...."
