Dark magic isn't something taught in general since there isn't any method to know its route. Even its existence doesn't have any evident clue but just gossiped about through generations.
People write villain's in children's books as the user of Dark Magic but other than that, no one seemingly talks about this specific field of wizardry.
It was said that thousands of years ago, people used to possess such arts along with Spiritual tongues and other ancient techniques.
Necromancy is one of the branches which originates from Dark Magic and as its name suggests, necromancy allows the user to rule over the dead.
Austin was fascinated to know that something like slaving the deceased could be possible. But unfortunately, he didn't have time to marvel at the skill in leisure since it was that skill currently trying to kill him.
**SLASHH**
"You fine there, Saya?"
As Austin slashed the Giant Shadow Ape he asked his sister who was fighting these slaves at a different end.
It's been an hour or so since the battle of thousands against two commenced. The Abyssal Wizard was enjoying the show while levitating and the other two, silently took refuge in a corner.
The shadow slaves surprisingly didn't seem how one could expect them to be. Unlike real shadows, they weren't dark and seemed lifeless. Rather, it seemed they were just incarnations of their true self.
The initial monsters were easy to defeat or to say, Austin just needed his bare punches and kicks to wipe out more than a hundred shadow monsters.
But soon the difficulty started to increase with the strength of the newly added monsters, like Tyrant Ox and Ullr Stags, being on completely different levels. Austin had to keep up with the lot since he didn't want anything to pass his radar and attack Kyouki and Cordelia.
Not only were the new monsters stronger and faster but also contained some Unique skills or offensive attacks like the Serpent Queen used against the Hero.
Austin had the means to obliterate them in an instant through the help of Spirits but he knew it would be futile. He has understood that the Wizard is just testing him for some reason.
Even after summoning so many shadow warriors, the Wizard seemed to be relaxed and completely fine. His gaze was only drawn to Austin with a grin never leaving his face.
'Welp, I just have to gauge his heart out… '
Throwing useless banter for a later time, Austin swung his spear and decapitated a Silver Fang Wolf. The wolf, despite being about 10 meters in size, was cleanly chopped with the mysterious spear Austin carries.
Ranged arsenal suits his taste and so Austin chose the spear as his main weapon. The current one he carries had specifications like:
[Type: - Weapon]
[Grade: - S]
[Name: - Dark Star]
[Enhancement: - Dripping Blood Effect ]
[Description: - The fallen star of Raven Eye bestowed with the concentration of its soul which further poured down in a furnace to build this remarkable weapon. The blacksmith not only has applied what they found as raw but their experience along with blood-sweat also could be seen through its usage.]
It has the effect of drawing out the blood of the enemy it impales until the victim doesn't die of blood loss. But in front of these soulless beings, this effect was nothing but just a decoration.
But since Austin had only this spear to fight against such hard-skinned monsters, he wasn't going to complain and continued his onslaught.
Saya was also doing her side quite fluently without any scratches inflicted until now. She has trained herself for this moment. To be useful to her brother and make his burden as less as she could.
**SHLIING**
The thunder roared with the shrill reverberation of her katana as Saya sliced a Whiptail Iguana into pieces with ferocity and accurate precision.
Her blade skills were far better than any of the warriors existing in today's era and along with the humongous mana she carries, Saya could be counted as an army herself.
Despite being restricted on spells, Saya was able to utilize the minuscules of her mana through the skill of her blade.
Her kill rate was undoubtedly high but compared to her brother, she still was falling a lot short.

'No, I have to do better…'
Solely with the wish to reduce some burden from her brother, Saya ascended in the air as she gathered some higher degree of mana in her blade and covered herself in raven lightning in the process.
With her eyes clouding behind the bolts, Saya charged at the incoming horde of monsters.
[Fall of Judgment!]
**CREAK**
The eyes of the wizard slightly widened since with that attack, not only tens of monsters ceased to exist in an instant but also, the floor was impacted with a deep crack.
The Wizard wasn't threatened to get his seal broken, rather he felt surprised to see the prowess of the girl. Now she also piqued his interest but not as much as the blondie.
Saya was physically fine despite using such a ferocious attack but what troubled her was the backlash she felt because of using mana. Feeling slightly dizzy, Saya supported herself with her blade when she heard a very familiar voice.
"Didn't I say, not to use Mana? When did you become so disobedient?"
While panting Saya wanted to apologize but suddenly her brother pushed a pill into her mouth.
"!!"
Abruptly the burning sensation inside her vanished in an instant and the backlash she felt also disappeared.
Regaining her composure, Saya bowed deeply as she uttered her words of apology in the shame of what she partook in.
"I am deeply ashamed of myself, Onii-sama. I made you worry about me even though we are middle of this… "
Since Saya wiped all the nearby monsters, they had at least a minute window before another wave approaches.
Austin took his time to console his sister as he also felt regretful for scolding her. Bringing his hand over her head, he spoke in a warming tone.
"It's okay, you don't have to feel so dejected about it. I just don't want you to hurt in any way, so please take care of yourself a little more and don't let your emotions control your actions, okay?"
Saya slowly raised her head upon hearing her brother's words as she stared at his radiating gaze with utter fondness.
"Onii-sama… "
The atmosphere between the two was so gentle and familial that it could have even melted a rock. Even though Saya had romantic feelings toward her brother, her sisterly traits always dominated when her Onii-sama says such unfair things.
The feeling of having a family who has always cared for you without asking anything in return always leaves Austin in amazement and amplifies his love for his sister.
**ROARR**
Suddenly in between the pleasant silence, one of the Crimson Chimera roared as the stampede neared furiously.
Both Saya and Austin's expressions contoured in annoyance at being interrupted.
"This is getting on my nerves… "
Saying in a little agitation, Austin pulled out a peculiar sword from his inventory since he has decided to end this right here and right now.
Saya's eyes widened in shock as she gasped to breathe upon witnessing the blade her brother had chosen. And the same reaction was spread over the Wizard's face since he never imagined the blondie having such a thing in the store.
['It seems I underestimated you… ']
