Chapter 27: Them Reuniting!

There's a procedure that regardless of position or power, a person has to follow in order to use the teleportation portal.

First, they must inform the destination of the center where they would be teleporting, using the portal through the mana mail.

Second, they have to wait for acceptance for the allowance of teleportation, which generally doesn't take much time unless one does not have any misleading or unclear goal of visiting the other side of the portal.

Third, after a person successfully lands on the other side of the teleportation portal, they have to give a proper verification of their identity as well as the proof of their visit. 

If any of the above mentioned requirements along with some other regulations were to be breached by anyone, either they are the mighty emperor or a measly slave, they have to face the consequences until not under some distinguish circumstances.

And when two teenagers, one with ugly features and raven hair along with a handsome youth but clearly not belonging to the northern empire, appeared out of nowhere using the portal, the situation became dire.

It goes without saying that the two, who the guards assigned at the teleportation center caught, must be sent directly to the head prison, which was built underground of the primary fort.

The reason why these two were sent to the central prison was, of course, due to the possibility of them being terrorists or a spy sent by an enemy nation.

So what leaves now was the two prisoners who were added to the central jail of the palace. 

**SLIDEEE** 

"Waste an ounce of it, and you won't be seein' that for a week."

Spoke in a stiff tone was the jailor who, after sliding the cold food platter inside the cell, warned one of the newly added members.

Austin looked at the plate, and strangely, he found it edible.

'Seriously, it's better than what I can cook.'

Dragging his shackle bonded legs, he was about to take the plate and eat the stuff since he was pretty hungry already; when someone called from outside of the cell in a panicked voice.

"Hey, you! Don't dare to utter a single word! Someone you couldn't dare to offend is arriving shortly."

A smile subconsciously spread over the slightly tainted face of the blond youth as he comfortably took the plate, and after supporting his back on the cold wall, he readied himself for the show.

Austin heard a modest amount of footsteps from outside with a dense amount of mana leaking from the newcomers.

Amidst those crowds of signatures, there was a peculiar thread like a stream of magical energy that reached Austin's senses, further enhancing his smile.

The footsteps, along with loud salutes, echoed profoundly before the dark room in which Austin was locked lit up due to the outside illumination.

The heavy metal door lifted in an instant as the figure of a certain number of humans appeared in front of the cell.

Austin lazily looked at the crowd and identified that other than almost a dozen guards, two women were standing in the center of the group, receiving a considerable space from the guards in fear of disrespecting them.

The one wearing the maid's uniform had an expressionless face, entirely compatible with her overall aura, as she stared indifferently at Austin like she was watching something filthy.

But among all of them was only one person who made Austin's dormant heart beat like crazy, and the numb blood circulate like never before. 

Even though he was elated beyond belief right now, he didn't let his gaze become obvious before he snatched himself back to the food.

The guards who saw the arrogant behavior of Austin, gritted their teeth in rage as such behavior was far from acceptable when such a prominent entity descended on such a lowly place.

Finally, the person who brought such unrest in the previously dead cold prison and the one who has gained the most popularity in recent months in the land of Aurora walked inside the cell.

"Young lady, it could be dangerous."

The maid tried to warn her mistress out of concern, as a prisoner like Austin generally carries secret weapons that they use to take someone important as a hostage or to end themselves.

Despite hearing that, the platinum-haired beautiful woman who, despite being in her mid-teens, was able to enchant men regardless of their age, didn't stop in her way as she walked only two steps to look closely at the person who continuously was chewing on the frozen jerky.

"What about the other one who came illegally through the portal?"

The quiet yet bone-chilling voice of the young lady resonated as the head prisoner instantly came forward before he informed the eldest princess in a respectful tone.

"Since we weren't sure of their power level, I decided to put them separately for now, young lady."

Saying with his head constantly leaned forward was the head in charge of the central prison.

Luna nodded indifferently as she threw an emotionless glance at the man sitting near her foot before she commanded the head prisoner to do something unbelievable which he never thought of.

"Send this man to my private interrogation cell. Since it seems he could be sly in any group he joins, I would take him on first."

Hearing such a statement, a gasp resonated in the background as they remembered the rumors about that chamber. 

Only those who have been here for a long while know how everyone who goes to the young lady's interrogation chamber never returned.

The head prisoner also seemed entirely taken aback by the statement as he subconsciously raised his voice to reaffirm Luna's words.

"Y-young lady...is it already their time to send there?"

Luna, who was still silent verbally, released an intense amount of mana just on top of the man who dared to talk back at her.

"KHAWK!!"

**CRAACK** 

The burly man knelt on the ground while trying not to choke out his life as the floor around the man started to break at a furious pace before the man fell flat on the ground with his body unable to move at all.

It happened in mere four seconds, yet the atmosphere changed drastically as the onlookers gulped hard after witnessing that the Saintess wasn't only proficient with her Healing Magic.

The Saintess could become a terrifying witch too!

Luna pulled back her mana from the top of the mana that was on the verge of leaving this realm before she turned toward the prisoner who had just bit on his last piece of jerky as she spoke in an authoritative tone.

"Since we don't know who from the main castle is involved with the rebellions, I don't want anyone talking about all these until I don't interrogate everything out of this man. Understood?"

Without pondering much upon the command, Luna presented, everyone joined their feet as they shouted in unison.

[Austin's POV:]

After the flashy show Luna presented some minutes ago, she left in a hurry as I was again left alone for the time being.

It was fortunate that the hero didn't make a fuss and oddly remained on a low profile inside the prison without using his name as a hero, quite surprising coming from someone who is going through his rebellious phase.

I somehow knew the reason for his behavior, so I didn't bother about it and focused on the matter at hand.

I was surprised how Luna managed to act like that in front of everyone to the point where her act started to make me nervous. But when she asked for a personal interrogation session, I finally sighed that she hadn't changed. 

Well, doubting her in the first place was rude of me, but again, when I saw her after this long and felt how prominent and respectful position was in among the masses, it made me slightly anxious about us being together.

It wasn't that I was deprecating myself, but when it comes to a perfect lady who doesn't carry anything which I could count as a flaw, it was natural for me to think that I was not worthy enough of her.

**SHLINNG** 

My train of needless thought came to a halt as a prison in charge slid the door open before he commanded me in a heavy tone.

"Come with me."

Wordlessly I got up from my place before the prisoner went inside and unlocked the shackles from my legs as it was connected to the wall before he pushed me to walk forward.

With my hands still bound with the heavy chains I started my walk out of prison with my bare feet hitting the dead cold floor with each step.

'I should have used potion...'

Grumbling at spilled milk, I followed the two prisoners as they silently led me to a place further down the prison.

'Something like this was here?'

My brows raised curiously as we started descending toward the floor that was even down the basement. Like a double basement.

It didn't take more than two minutes before the last stair arrived as a massive metal door, even more significant than the cell lock, appeared in the center of the place.

The two men glanced at each other first, then at me with slight pity covered in their eyes before they knocked on the metal.

**CLICK** 

The sound of something clicking, or to be precise, the sound of a handle twisting, resonated in the silent place before one of the two guards twisted the lock and pushed the heavy door.

**SCREECH** 

The sound of high-pitched screech subdued not so long after as the scene inside of the room finally became vivid.

Apart from the utterly dark place, which was only illuminated with the help of a couple of candles, what made my eyes wide was the slanted platform, which had four handles, clearly not for something fun.

I gulped hard before the two big men made my fear come true as they followed the command of my not-so-lovely Luna.

"Tie him up and go out."

The two giants, without words, dragged me to the platform before binding my hands and legs with a special kind of ropes after they let go of my shackles.

As commanded, the two guards left the dark place after giving me the same pity look, before the door finally closed with only me and Luna present in the room.

Finally, from the darkness emerged the beautiful saintess who had kept me awake for many recent nights. But for some reason, even though we were alone, which I thoroughly checked through my detection, Luna didn't have much change of expression.

But I kept my useless thoughts aside and raised my voice calmly.

"You really scared me there, Luna. Now come on, untie me. I have plenty of things to talk about."

Luna was still silent as she walked up to me, making me slightly more anxious than before when I was in prison.

Standing just a feet apart from me, she raised her hand and started caressing my cheek fondly as she spoke in a voice that sent shivers down my spine for some reason.

"What's the rush? First, let me congratulate you thoroughly."

Her hot breath, which spread equally on my face and coupled with her elegant fragrance, which I wasn't able to smell these days, made my mind go numb but still, my subconsciousness allowed me to ask something concerning.

"Congratulate, but for what?"

Suddenly Luna stood on the edge of the platform as she pressed her supple body against me, giving me countless jolts of uncontrollable urges before she whispered something in my ears which broke all my wild thoughts in an instant.

"Of course, because of the new relationship you formed in my absence~."

Hearing her cold voice, which was far from pleased, my face went pale as only one thing landed on my consciousness regarding my current messed up situation.

'F*** My Life.'
