"A-A-Au-Austin...this...?"
Vanessa's eyes were at the point where they couldn't get stretched anymore as she saw the weapon Austin pulled out of nowhere.
It was a black metal composite sword that was lean at its base and broad as it reached its head. There were several conjunctions along the blade, showing the range it could whip.
The pommel of the hilt had a round strange runic engraving which gave the sword an ancient look. The handle of the strung connected weapon had a silvery white patterned grip which seemed comfortable to wield and easy to handle.
The reason why everyone, including Venessa, got startled upon witnessing the composite sword was the strange frightening mana it emitted and not to talk about its quirky design, which no one had seen until now.
But what followed was the terrifying thing they could have expected, witnessing from the blade.
**CRACKLE**
Austin swung the blade in a particular direction, which naturally separated each edge compartment and made the whip reach up to 30 meters from Austin. But the terrifying thing was the lightning which the sword gave out with the whip, destroyed the incoming demons in one blow.
The audience was so stunned by the overwhelming performance of the weapon that, for some moment, they forgot where they were. The smooth handling, the terrifying impact, and the beautiful lightning made everyone captivated by what they saw.
"Here, take this."
Austin, who wasn't much habituated with swords, let go of the weapon without much care, but the receiver wasn't taking things so casually.
"W-wait...why me? You can have given this to Sir Rachael too."
Vanessa asked just on reflex as she was more concerned about her being not worthy of using such a divine and nightmarish sword.
But Austin's following words gave her a reality check, which she needed at a time like these.
"Don't get strange ideas. I just gave you that sword because I think you are the most flexible in getting accustomed to something new. So try to be useful."
His words, despite being a little rude, were still comforting, as hearing flowery words wasn't something Venessa liked. She better preferred this honest side of Austin.
He was arrogant in the past, and it's still the same as now, but the current Austin had the strength backing his arrogance which Venessa felt admirable.
'Wait...what am I...'
Getting out of her stupor, Venessa inhaled deeply. Nodding with her eyes focused on the blond youth, she gripped the handle of the sword and, with a light whip, made a crackling sound as her determined words followed behind.
"I will not let your support go in vain. Leave the responsibility of the rear line to us."
Austin didn't have many doubts about Venessa's potential, so without thinking anything unnecessary, he nodded and activated Gravity Manipulation and flew away from the site.
After reaching mid-air, Austin glanced around the battlefield to have a better view of the situation.
Before arriving at this vanguard side, Austin checked the Eastern flank where Headmaster Merlin, along with the Explorer group, was holding the fort somehow without many losses.
The headmaster was a mage who had been mastering his techniques for more than 50 years now. Abruptly getting the blessings snatched away threw the line of defense in a panic, but the professors and warriors weren't there merely for show.
Since Austin felt that the ambush of the demons was far less than the forefront that Rachael led, he concluded it would be fine to leave the Eastern side on Principal and the others.
The demons from the forest started swarming again, and in some minutes, they would initiate their stampede towards the battalion.
But Austin's main focus wasn't on them. Instead, he was searching for the thing which caused the blessing to disappear so suddenly.
And also, the fact that the blessing's absence made Luna so weak when Lilia and other mages weren't in such a bad shape made Austin troubled.
'I better find the conjuror first.'
Thinking such, he glanced at the forest where a dense amount of heavy miasma suddenly approached towards the front. This curse energy Austin, as well as others sensed wasn't from the high crowd of Unique Ranked.
It was far more terrifying. Reeking with the chills of death, the miasma made everyone freeze in a fret as they stared towards the forest, completely ignoring the Unique Ranked demon who was approaching at a furious pace.
It wasn't that they were not wary of the swamp of demons; instead, the blood-draining sensation wasn't letting them feel anything else currently.
**THUD**
**THUD**
The heart of more than two hundred people sank as the figure of something ominous walked with heavy steps out of the darkness of the shadow.

Due to the low sunlight, which was practically under the horizon, various low-ranking soldiers couldn't see what was incoming, but those who did saw, felt no better than the ignorants.
**THUD**
With a final thud, the demons finally appeared in a clear vision before the miasma reached its peak point, making various soldiers drop to the ground because of dizziness and intolerance.
**GRRRRRR**
What growled with its fangs peeking out of its giant jaw was a humanoid demon with a size of more than three meters in height and a build which could even leave Charles miles behind.
Unlike the other demons and monsters, these four entities had black and purple armor and vest cladded over their gargantuan body, with the face being the only visible part from normal perception.
The demons had almost identical features, with two big teeth protruding under their lower jaw and sharp needle-point fangs peeking out their mouth. In place of hair, the demon had live flames adorning their heads.
Two ruby eyes, which contained a glint of mortal danger, stared at the surroundings as if the human in front weren't worthy of their attention.
**ROAAAAAAAARR**
One of the demons roared in frustration as it failed to find the source of mana which they felt some moments ago and was the reason why these identical demons, who were undoubtedly the strongest ones, appeared all of a sudden.
"A-are th-they Terror Ranks!?"
"T-they definitely a-are! Can't yo-you feel that absurd energy!"
"F-fuck! My legs are trembling."
There was an unhidden sign of fear among the human group as they caught a glimpse of such beings whom they could never in their wildest dreams have prepared to confront, even if they would have given a year or two.
The look on Venessa and Rachael's faces, who were the most befitting for the battlefield currently, wasn't good either, as they gulped their saliva in anxiety and evident fret.
Feet started retreating, hearts began beating rapidly, and death seemingly felt nearer to their throat as they watched the demons roaring for unknown reasons.
**Tap**
Suddenly to the utmost relief of many, a figure landed on the ground with pure elegance as he stood between the two groups.
Raising his left hand in mid-air, the ground underneath the stampede of Unique Ranked Demon started trembling.
**CREAK**
More than five hundred demons who were just some meters apart from Austin, disappeared from the site as they fell into the pit which Austin created.
With his eyes focused on the Terror Ranked Demons, Austin drew strange infernos on the tip of his index finger before throwing it in the long pit.
**SWOOOSH**
Like a living hell which had descended on the surface, flames burnt every demon with such ferocity that the heavy cries even terrified the soldiers.
Without waiting for the flames to eat away the demons, Austin again raised his hand and covered the pit with stones that he created solely with his mana.
(A/N:- Conjuror and Manipulator have a significant difference. Conjurors can create elements out of nowhere, but Manipulator can only control the existing elements. Well, Austin can do both, so yeah.)
Staring at the demons who were looking at him like they had found their prey, at last, Austin didn't give any kind of reaction.
For him, every demon in front might be the reason for Luna's miserable condition, so he wasn't going to let any single demon live on his watch.
As if now, he didn't have the system or the Villain's point in mind. The surroundings or the people watching him with varied expressions, he cared about none.
What he wanted was the remedy for Luna's discomfort, and if it could only be brought through annihilation and chaos, then he wouldn't hesitate to show this world what a true nightmare looks like.

A/N:- Well, if you think Austin wasted his artifacts on others, then you are in for a surprise since he has hundreds of those things dusting in his inventory.
Anyway, if you like chaos, then you might love the next one.
