Spiritual Magic.
A magic that primarily isn't oriented from the users' core; instead, they become the channel of the strange energy which originates from thin air.
It's mentioned thin air for those who don't have a spiritual tongue. Not to talk about that, having the talent to bend and utilize the spirits is extremely rare, to the point where an entity in every hundred years is born with such skill.
As generations passed, the existence of the Spiritual Tongue became a myth since no promising generation showed signs of being in a friendly relationship with the small things revolving around the planet.
Primary functioning of spirit-based attacks.
Spirits are being who get along pretty well with anyone who keeps their company and acknowledges their presence. There are some certain egos of some specific spirits, too, like the Space and Time spirits are the rarest of the rarest to get in contact with.
It's said that whoever gets surrounded by all six types of spirit would become the first Spirit Monarch of history and capture the world in his fist.
...
Back to the present.
The serpent queen wasn't a newly born monster but far from it. She was an existence who roamed the outside world since ancient times and fed herself every hundred years.
Naturally, she has seen various kinds of beings and also has fought against them.
But having the ability to oppress mana gave her superiority over those who tried to stand against her and not to mention her own might, which was not less than those demons.
However, what made her feel the sensation of being scared for the first time in life was a spiritual user which she met around five hundred years ago.
That was the first time she came to know that there was still something she couldn't go against, so after thinking wisely, she took a strategical retreat but killed the human once she found the chance at his most vulnerable time.
From that day, she found the spiritual users and killed them to cease the existence of all those who could pose a danger to her and like others from her birthplace.
But suddenly, a puny human who had mana not even in comparison to those warriors who came here before, willingly, started whispering in the same tongue which had given the chills of life to her before too.
[This can't be happening! Stop mumbling, you insane human!!]
The enraged serpent queen lashed at Austin, which the latter dodged quite easily as he gathered wind spirits around him before generating a heavy whirlpool on the center of his palm.
Under the shocking gaze of the creature, which saw such proficient use of spiritual energy, Austin threw the wind pool as it started sucking the poisonous gas from the surrounding.
**WOOOOOOOSH**
The gust was heavy enough to push the humungous demon to a corner and also made it difficult for Austin to keep his feet steady at his point.
[Ding!]
[Quest Update!]
[Degree: - Red!]
[Objective: - Save Sicily Reynolds]
[Time left: - 26 min 36 sec-> 3 min 12 sec]
[Reward: - 100 Villain's Point]
[Penalty: - None]
Austin's retina contracted as he saw how the remaining time decreased absurdly before he turned his head toward the creature and realized what had just happened.
'Due to the crash, Sicily must have suffered.'
Gritting his teeth, Austin waited for his vision to get cleared before he decided that it was better to end it here before his first quest fails.
'Well, let's go with the challenging route. '
Bringing out a slim object of one and a half meters in length, which by appearance looked like a traditional sheath, Austin stood while facing the monster.
Bringing the hilt near his waist, Austin extended his left foot and brought his right hand over the handle of the katana. Austin flicked the hilt of the blade with his thumb, releasing the katana slightly out of its cover.
With his eyes fixated on the snake in front, Austin felt the incredible sensation from the blade he had used only once before.

On the other side, the serpent queen collected herself from the hurricane as she felt the chilly sensation from the human who suddenly summoned a blade from thin air.
[Is spiritual energy allows him that too!]
The queen had no good feeling coming from the blade, which seemed to be charging up with a lethal attack as she immediately attacked Austin first.
**KHEEK**
A mouthful of venom was spat out by the serpent toward Austin, which the latter received without any problem since his body wasn't that sensitive to be affected so easily.
**KHEEK**
**KHEEK**
The reptilian queen continued spitting the dark purple tar in the hope of melting the human under it, and she would have succeeded if she had done it continuously for one day, but Austin didn't have that much time to play around.
After supplying his mana, bit by bit, he finally took out the katana from the sheath and slashed it in a vertical cut before putting it back on the cover.
"Tachi no shokei."
The slash came at such a violent pace toward the creature that she was only able to see a blue illumination passing through her throat.
Wait, pass thro...
**KACHAK**
With a flesh-splitting sound, the massive head of the serpent separated from her body before it fell to the ground, along with her lifeless rest of the self.
Austin heaved in relief since he wasn't sure whether he could do it perfectly, even though he didn't have the full mana he had for the first time. But all went well as he kept the katana back in inventory.
"Fuck! It's only a minute!"
Austin ran toward the massive body, which was devoid of vigor now, before he used his sheer strength to split the snake skin in two as he proceeded in a rush.
It didn't take him time to finally find the magic staff that Sicily stubbornly took from him. The staff was standing straight with either end piercing the inside of the serpent muscles.
There knelt an olive-haired girl with her eyes numbly closed and no movement in her body; even the open air met her skin after so long.
Austin hurriedly pulled her out before placing her over his bent knee. As he patted her cheek softly while calling out for her.
"Hey, Sicily. Come on, wake up. Hey!"
He called and called, but no response came. Along with the fact that the countdown on the system was still going on, and also the fading impulse he felt from the girl made Austin sure that she was going to die in mere twenty seconds now.
'Seems there's no way... '
Concluding that he didn't have many options; Austin took out a small glass container that had a peculiar red fluid inside; Austin gulped half of it.
'Sorry, Luna.... '
Closing his eyes, Austin connected his lips to hers before using his tongue as a server and pouring down the content past her throat.
[Ding!]
[Congraturaltion]
....
Austin wasn't able to check the notification since a life-threatening voice reached up to his senses, making every strand on his body stand straight.
"Aus~tin~ Care to explain~."
