Although Apple forgot his name, that didnt mean she forgot about the man altogether. She remembered his face quite well.

And Jayden seemed to remember the man too, seeing his reaction now, it was certain that this man recognized him immediately.

Your boyfriend? Jayden raised his eyebrows at Derek and looked at him more intensely. It must be really hard to have a long distance relationship, Jayden commented.

Then Gladys started to share her experiences in their long distance relationship and complained about a few things.

Needless to say, their lunch turned out to be a little messy and not up to the mark, but Apple found this amusing, because Gladys seemed like a friendly girl, unlike Tania. Maybe, they could become friends.

Apple quite enjoyed Gladys chatter that dominated the conversation, even though Jayden didnt think so, because he was a little annoyed that his dinner with Apple had been disrupted, especially with the man next to him.

So, what are you guys going to do tonight? Gladys asked, looking expectantly at Apple and Jayden. I have some friends coming over to a party tonight, want to join? she asked enthusiastically, then took Apples hand and squeezed it tightly. Come on, it will be fun to party together. You two werent even present at the closing ceremony of the Tordoff family gathering because of the incident.

Maybe next time, Jayden said to Gladys. He then stood up. I have to go see my parents.

Hearing that, Gladys eyes went wide. She then made an unnecessary fuss. Youre going to make your relationship more official? Will there be an engagement event? Im really good at organizing parties, you should let me arrange your engagement party.

Gladys seemed too enthusiastic to notice Apples smile that looked like she was grimacing.

Thats too soon, said Apple, then patted Gladys hand to calm her down a bit, now that they were the center of attention. Besides, Ive met Mr. and Mrs. Tordoff before this. Its just an ordinary meeting, we are just paying them a casual visit.

Gladys looked a little disappointed, but she didnt give up. Give me your phone, Ill save my number on yours, if you change your mind and want to join the party tonight, call me. Okay? she said cheerfully. The party is definitely very lively, because I am the coordinator of the event, she said proudly.

It took a while for Gladys to calm down a bit and let go of Apples hand after she saved the number on her phone.

If youre done, well leave now, Jayden said, holding out his hand for Apple. He wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Oh! You two look so cute, Gladys gushed and Jayden quickened their pace which made Apple laugh once they got to their car.

Youre such a freak, commented Apple.

Oh, you dont know, but shes the cousin Ive always avoided, Jayden replied. He then told the driver to get out of the way, as if Gladys was going to chase them all the way to the car. She wont stop talking if you dont get out of there soon. She could talk all day without realizing it. If I had known she was here, I would have delayed our departure, Jayden grumbled.

Apple laughed even more at Jaydens expression. I think shes quite cute.
