“Why don’t we wake Su Yang up and let him decide what to do?” said Little Hus.
Just when everyone was at a loss of what to do, Pool said, “I remember that Lord Su Yang has a special item called [Lethe’s Porcelain Bowl]. Drink from it and one will forget what happened in the past 30 minutes. Why don’t we take it out and let this man drink twice? Wouldn’t that work?”
Pool’s words reminded all the little monsters about the special item, so everyone nodded and agreed.
“Right!”
“It’s workable!”
The little monsters split up. Some of them stayed behind and watched Old Sixth Liu while the others went back to the virtual space and searched for the bowl.
A while later, Pool came back with the bowl. Deeny calculated the time before she told Pool to feed Old Sixth Liu the water to make them forget them.
After drinking the bowl of water, Old Sixth Liu passed out.
The little monsters tossed Old Sixth Liu out of the door, locked it, and went back to the virtual space.
…
At midnight, Old Sixth Liu woke up in front of Su Yang’s basement. His body hurt badly after he opened his eyes and he noticed that he was covered in bruises which made him look miserable.
He was stunned for a moment.
‘Sh*t, why am I covered in bruises?’
He tried to find out where he was by looking around, but he could not recognize the place. It was after a closer look that he realized he was in front of Su Yang’s door.
Fragments of his memories started to piece together.
He remembered that his gangster friend had hinted to him that Su Yang had slept with his wife, and after he got drunk, he became angry and tried to storm into Su Yang’s house.
After knocking for a long while, the door opened by itself. He went in and… there was nothing!
Nothing at all! He could not remember anything after that. It was as if his brain had shut down.
Then, he realized that he was covered in bruises in front of Su Yang’s door.
No matter how hard he tried to remember it, he could not remember what happened after the door opened.
‘Creepy…’
He looked at the bruises all over his body and then at the tightly shut basement door. He could not help but shiver in fear.
Not daring to linger any longer, he got up and crawled back home as fast as he could.
Old Sixth Liu got home in a terrified state, and when he opened the door, he saw his wife, Pan Zhaodi, sitting in front of the TV with her signature frigid look.
Pan Zhaodi’s gaze turned sharper when she saw Old Sixth Liu covered in bruises. “What’s wrong with you?”
Old Sixth Liu was instinctively scared of Pan Zhaodi, but when he thought of what happened between her and Su Yang, his moral state reached a new high and boosted his confidence. He gulped nervously and straightened his back. “I should be the one asking you what’s wrong with you! Why don’t you ask yourself what you did?!”
Pan Zhaodi looked at him coldly as she took a rolling pin out from under the couch.
She did not move. All she did was sit there with the rolling pin, but Old Sixth Liu shuddered as if a pail of ice water had been poured over his head. The courage he mustered up faded immediately.
As he gulped nervously again, he tried to hide his fear by standing as straight as possible and erected his neck to make him look tougher. “Y-you! You know what you did! What were you doing with Su Yang at the park last night? Your knees were bruised and you looked all tired! My friend saw you together with him!”
Pan Zhaodi stared at him with a calm gaze, and a while later, she said, “Are you accusing me of cheating?”
The moment the words escaped her month, Old Sixth Liu fell chills go down his spine.
Pan Zhaodi then made her move. She bolted up and swung the rolling pin at him mercilessly.
Old Sixth Liu instinctively dodged and ran, but she did not want to spare him. She chased and beat him relentlessly.
Old Sixth Liu was a proud and egotistical person. Despite being chased from the living room to the bedroom and from the bedroom to the study room, he did not make a squeak.
Pan Zhaodi was not a talker either. All she did was beat Old Sixth Liu. She did not scold or scream despite chasing him.
A strange scene of the wife chasing the husband happened throughout the house. Clunks and clanks sounded from all over the place. Heavy thuds sounded when the rolling pin hit Old Sixth Liu, but neither of them said a word.
The chase and beat lasted for 10 minutes before Pan Zhaodi tossed the rolling pin away and went back to the bedroom.
Old Sixth Liu collapsed on the floor while panting heavily. He felt like his soul had left his body.
Once again, he hated his parents for having chosen a violent wife for him. ‘Are they trying to watch me get killed?’
Just as his thoughts went wild, Pan Zhaodi came out from the bedroom with a bag and tossed it at him.
“I was sparring with Su Yang last night.”
She left the bag and a confusing explanation for Old Sixth Liu before she went back to the bedroom and locked it.
He opened the bag and saw some used protective gears. There were even sweat stains and mud on it.

He knew Pan Zhaodi was a martial arts fanatic, and when he saw the evidence, he believed her without a second thought.
There was also another reason why he chose to believe her: Pan Zhaodi never lied.
During their wedding, she had told him that she did not have any feelings for him and that she was marrying him because she could not disobey her parents’ will. She even warned him to stay away from her at the night of the wedding.
Therefore, Old Sixth Liu never liked his wife. They had been married for a few years now, and other than having some occasional allowance, Old Sixth Liu never enjoyed a bit of his married life.
If it was not for their parents, he would never have married this woman either because he had a lot of girlfriends outside.
They were like roommates rather than husband and wife.
Nevertheless, the man’s possessive side could not allow his wife to cheat on him.
Just when his thoughts were running wild again, Pan Zhaodi’s voice came from inside the bedroom, “You aren’t allowed to sleep on the couch today.”
Old Sixth Liu pouted and mumbled, “Fine. I’m sleeping on the floor anyway! It’s much cooler!” He then pulled cushions from the couch and laid them on the floor before lying down.
Even though he was beaten up by the little monsters and Pan Zhaodi, Old Sixth Liu was still thinking about nonsense before he slept.
‘I made the right choice of buying the expensive couch. Should I change the floor to something softer? Or maybe I should just buy a carpet.’
…
Su Yang woke up after a quiet night. He washed up and wanted to have breakfast, but Deeny told him someone was knocking on the door.
He went out of the virtual space and opened the door.
It was Pan Zhaodi and Old Sixth Liu.
Old Sixth Liu’s face and body were covered in bruises. Su Yang could not help but giggle at him. “What’s up, Brother Six? Been getting into art lately?”
Old Sixth Liu glared at him but did not answer.
Pan Zhaodi said with her signature frigid look, “I’m sorry that he came to disturb you last night.”
Confused, Su Yang said, “Did you come to my place last night? Why didn’t I hear anything? Are you sure?”
Su Yang looked at Old Sixth Liu. “Brother Six, did you come to my house last night? Why didn’t you call me?”
Judging from the surprised look on Su Yang’s face, Old Sixth Liu felt that it was strange.
‘He doesn’t look like he’s lying…Did I really go into his house last night? Or was it because I was drunk last night and I can’t remember well?’
Old Sixth Liu started to doubt his own memory.
Pan Zhaodi showed a rare doubtful look. “Didn’t he come here last night?”
Su Yang nodded seriously. “No, I had a good sleep last night.”
“Can you let me have a look inside?” said Old Sixth Liu.
“Sure.” Su Yang then stepped aside and let them in.
Old Sixth Liu entered the basement and looked around. The basement was simple and plain, but everything was neatly arranged, and there were no signs of a fight or struggle around.
Old Sixth Liu fell into the sea of self-doubt. ‘Did I really come here last night? Or was I too drunk and fell into the drain and injured myself? I really thought I came here to teach Su Yang a lesson!! Goddamnit, this is so embarrassing!’
With that thought in mind, Old Sixth Liu was too embarrassed to linger, so he covered his face and ran away.
Pan Zhaodi saw him off before she nodded at Su Yang. “Thank goodness he didn’t come all the way here to cause trouble. I’m sorry.”
Su Yang waved and said, “It’s fine, Sister Pan.”
“Let’s spar another day when you are free. I’ll take my leave first,” said Pan Zhaodi.
Su Yang’s mouth twitched. ‘To hell I will! If I spar with you again, I’ll die!’
After the two of them left, Su Yang checked his basement but did not notice anything strange. Nothing seemed off except for a stool which had one of the legs broken.
Only
‘Maybe I broke it without even realizing it.’
Since it was not important, Su Yang cast it out of his mind after he had breakfast.
It was a Sunday, but it was an important day for the company. Su Yang had to interview the applicants he invited.
The interview would directly affect his company’s development and indirectly affect his Silver Mission. With enough talented people in the company, he could steer the company into the fast track and speed things up. Therefore, a broken chair was none of his concern.

He headed to the office after breakfast.
While he was tidying up the desk, the office door opened and someone stormed in.
It was Wang Dong with a thrilled expression on his face. “MR. SU! OUR APP HAS EXPLODED!”
