“”Pitfall?””

Alan and Henry’s words overlapped. They were twins after all, so it was to be expected.

“Leave it to me, I’ll use earth magic! I’ll pop a hole where they’re making noise and catch them all at once!”

Eric followed up after Mel, who sounded very pleased with herself.

“And then what are you going to do?”

“I think we should then give them a good talking to so they don’t make such a racket again.”

Mel replied with a big smile.

She really was strange. Everyone was a little taken back when she started talking about something like fear mongering, but she didn’t care about that.

Then Liz Cather followed.

“I would prefer a more peaceful solution. I can’t think of a concrete plan right now, but I don’t think forcing them to stop is going to calm their rage.”

“I agree with Liz’s idea.”

Duke agreed with Liz Cather, and Mel clicked her tongue lightly.

I didn’t think Duke would agree with Liz, but this time I understand what she was saying.

The use of force would not last long, nor would it solve the problem completely.

“So, I guess we’re supposed to come up with a concrete plan for that now, right?”

Everyone nodded at Eric’s words.

I was certain that this problem would not be solved right away.

It will be a long-term battle. If we wanted to temporarily settle the disturbance, Mel’s idea would be fine, but that’s not the way it works.

We talked a lot after that, but no solution came out.

Gayle came up with more logical ideas, but it was difficult to control the students, who were now letting their emotions get the better of them.

I was unable to offer any ideas.

Most of them had regained their ability to make accurate judgments, and a number of them were able to use magic. I felt like I shouldn’t be there.

I was surrounded by a feeling of inferiority that I had never felt before.

Overall, no solution was reached that day, and the group broke up. Today I was returning to the Williams’ house.

I was so occupied with myself that I forgot to ask Liz Cather if she could cure Gramps’ disease.

I was shocked to realize that my existence was no longer of any value to others.

Without eating dinner, I retreated to the library. For the time being, I wanted to be alone.

I couldn’t use magic, so I had to be smarter than everyone over there. Being young was not an excuse.

I desperately scanned through the book and stuffed my head with a vast amount of knowledge.

Alicia would probably be angry if she knew that I was spending every moment I had to sleep doing this.

But she most likely would not understand what I was feeling right now. Only I could understand the fear of being left behind.

Alicia, Duke, and Gramps were all so much ahead of me.

I could understand why Liz Cather was struggling. I had to learn more because I was behind.

I knew that this was a bad idea, but I couldn’t help it.
