"Haa!" Vollrath lifted his ax high in the air.

Seeing this as a folly, the Troll dropped its club and closed its hands in a fist, ready to punch the warrior before he could bring the ax down.

Just then, a bright beam of light pierced the Troll's eyes, blinding it for a moment. The Troll stepped back in a stupor as Vollrath's ax fell, slashing the troll from shoulder to waist.

"Phew! It really is easy to fight with a good supporter." Vollrath wiped the sweat off his forehead and walked toward the group. The Otherworlder called back the floating orb of light he had used to blind the Troll.

"But, it is amazing!" Eilhard said. "How are you good at fighting and magic? A wizard and a warrior!"

Nope, he wasn't good at either.

"This isn't wizardry, Eilhard." Liesl corrected the healer. "Wizardry and magic are different. Sir Iatra is a mage and a warrior. It is still just as amazing, though!"

His being amazing in their eyes no matter what he did put a strange sense of pressure on the Otherworlder. Ignoring the group, he turned to Aida.

"Any more up ahead?"

"Nope." The scout replied. "This is the last split. How did we get the easier route four times in a row again?"

The routes he had not taken were the harder ones. The Otherworlder already found it a little rough alone in the easier ones. He had lucked out here.

The Otherworlder only nodded and stepped ahead. Somehow, he had taken the lead alongside Liesl.

Soon, the Sanguine Snakes and the Otherworlder crossed over all the Resolution Splits and reached the first crystal reserves in the dungeon.

Blue and Red stones of mana were studded across the dungeon walls, glittering brightly in the dark place.

Dungeons were, but a space created from the extreme concentration of mana. They were a natural phenomenon that occurred when the world changed by the will of the mana. But in such dungeons, the core of their energy, or the mana stones, were formed inside the monsters born from the environment.

This wasn't the case with a dungeon like the Galterius Cribs that had its mana crystallized and laden along its walls. The Galterius Cribs was an artificially created dungeon that had long run out of its creator's control.

In such a place, all the energy, in the form of mana crystals, was constantly being used to keep the dungeon up and running. So it was impossible to harvest the crystals from them unless one caused harm to the dungeon so it could not fix immediately.

That was killing monsters.

The more powerful and numerous the monsters one killed, the lesser energy the dungeon would use. Thus allowing them to harvest the mana crystals in a way not dissimilar to the natural dungeons.

In such a manner, it would be better for each person to set on the tougher path in the Resolution Splits, but the dangers hiding in such a place shouldn't be underestimated.

"Well, here we are. Do you have any storage devices, Sir Iatra?" Liesl asked as she eyed the crystals they could take pull off from the walls.

"Yeah, but it won't be big enough for the boss room as well."

"Then, should we just take a little from here, in case we fail the boss raid?" Eilhard offered.

The Otherworlder thought for a few seconds before nodding. With practiced hands, Aida started digging into the walls with her daggers while Eilhard assisted her in removing them. Since they weren't active combatants, they took on such duties.

The Otherworlder felt he should assist them too since he had taken on the role of a supporter in the battles, but he was sitting in a rather comfortable position and didn't feel like getting up and it didn't seem like they were expecting him to join, so he ignored them.

While the three combatants rested. The Otherworlder took the chance to ask a question he had been wondering for a while.

"Liesl," he called out.

"Hm? Yeah?"

"How are we going to get to the boss room? Surely we won't be loitering around, right?"

"Huhuhu!" Liesl narrowed her eyes and broke into a haughty giggle. "I was waiting for you to ask. You see, Sir Iatra. Dungeons have their boss rooms in the place that is the toughest to reach. Which is usually around the center of the dungeon after facing all kinds of traps and monsters."

"I see,"

"And well, while it doesn't work with all dungeons. There is a sweet little life hack you can use in the Galterius Cribs, which are shaped in a rather smooth circle."

"Ooh!" The Otherworlder spoke up in admiration. If it was a circle, finding the center was rather easy. As long as they could get to two ends. "So you will trace a chord and get to the center from there? That is indeed a sweet trick."

"Uh, yeah!" Liesl smiled and patted her chest. "The end we entered from, and the second end I will locate using spirit magic."

"Have you been mapping our path, then?" The Otherworlder asked while cursing himself internally. Mapping the path was something he should have done himself from the beginning. It was essential for survival.

"Yeah! Leave it to Aida! Our scout is no joke, you hear? She will get us straight to the center of the boss room!" Liesl said as Aida shouted a 'leave it to me' from the side. The scout girl was truly working the hardest among them.

When they had pulled out enough stones, they all took a little while to rest together before finally setting off again.

"O ancient spirits, the voices of the world. I beseech thee! Guide me through these lands."

What?

What was that?

That was embarrassing as hell!

The Otherworlder could feel his fingers curl up in second-hand embarrassment at Liesl's sudden actions. Soon, small will-o-wisps of white and yellow started circling the wizard as sounds of childish laughter reverberated through the dungeon.

Liesl had called upon quite a few spirits who flailed around her while laughing in joy. The Otherworlder still felt a little embarrassed as the spirits whispered in the wizard's ears and danced again till they all faded away, leaving only a small mark on the back of her hands.

"Hm, the spirit call was a success. Let's go."

'That meant she failed at times. Of course, she did!' Spirit magic worked with communication and affinity, not from some teenager's chant! The Otherworlder felt a powerful urge to tell her how she was just embarrassing herself in the eyes of the spirits but was also feeling an equally powerful urge to let her clown around. In the end, he left her alone while hoping he gets to see her do this in front of a large group.

Aida communicated with Liesl to reach another end of the dungeon. After connecting their path in a straight line, she formed a circle around it and got a chord.

With great skill, the scout led them to the correct path, and they soon found themselves facing the boss room.
