After discarding the staff, she jumped up to catch a simple pole-like staff and as she was coming down again she struck it downwards towards someone who wished to attack before she landed but after wielding it a couple of times she felt that it was too thin, light and it also had less of a firm grip.

She swung it again up and down towards her enemies and sometimes to the side or behind, eliminating one or many pirates at once who were on the weaker side and poorly armed, but she still felt uncomfortable and yelled. "Continue!"

This time, the staff landed after she blocked a sword slash from the side with her staff and kicked another enemy to her other side.

Just as her kick landed, the staff fell by her and she pushed the staff in her hands towards the opponent's sword and pushed him back.

During this break, she discarded that staff and picked up the new one to begin blocking oncoming attacks, sweeping and thrusting away her opponents or using her staff to balance her body while in combat.

Sometimes she would add a kick to her combinations while she was slowly gaining a little more familiarity in. She would switch between new staff and continue to fight and integrate her previous experiences and skills into her body and the staff to enhance her combat prowess.

A look of excitement appeared in her eyes as she had found the one that best suited her among the many of them.

The style and shape of it were designed mostly for acrobatics, spinning and vaulting using high jumps, leaps and long jumps, but also in various other ways during combat to attack and defend, but some techniques require the staff to be spun around.

The basis of staff spinning is to use your hands and body to move the staff around. However, this staff design seemed to flip that all on its head, literally.

The design seemed to use the staff to flip, twist and roll her through the air and even up/along walls, so it quite suited her current skills that she had learned but also the new Acrobat skill that was being stored in the system.

It felt super light but was proven to be extremely durable and flexible.

The staff has an extra steel weight and a rubber ending on each side for better grip on the ground and to protect the staff from abrasion. But there were always going to be other options to use besides rubber so that it could conduct Electro freely.

There is also a stepping point on the staff to help with some parkour movement.

The more she used it the more familiarity she gained with it and she was able to put more ideas into practice that she had come up with in the past or remembered from several more famous staff/polearm users that also use kicking as a focus like Sai of the Happo Navy who also has high acrobatic skills and also Vergo who has a similar style of combat but uses a bamboo type of staff and is more focussed on the marines style of combat which is more polished and specialised towards the six styles.

After combining her lower body skills with her staff, parkour or climbing and acrobat skills, she may be able to figure out her own path, but for now, she could only copy various moves that she had seen in the manga.

Copying the basic concept behind the move used against Lao G, she vaulted herself up into the air towards the captain of the pirates suddenly and got some air for a little while.

The sudden approach caught the captain off guard as her heel descended onto the top of his head suddenly.

Previously, after he failed to shoot her, he was targeted by Nica from afar and was wounded. As he tried to enter the fight, he was fired many times until he dropped his axe and lost a lot of blood.

Just as he regained his fighting spirit after quickly wrapping his wounds, he was caught off guard as a heel descended from above and came down on the top of his head.

The strike was powerful enough to knock him out, but could even kill him if she hadn't held back a little.

Right away, many ideas came to Alyssia's mind on how to modify her staff and what kind of attachments to make to it along with the shape, length, width and kind of materials that should be used.

However, instead of dealing with her many ideas and things that were swirling around in her mind, she had to focus on the present situation as her crew were grabbing some ropes to tie up the badly injured pirates.

Alyssia sighed at their naïve thinking and ordered them all. "Check their clothes, mouths and even their shoes for any hidden knives or objects and take away anything of value they have on their bodies. Get the location of their ship and be ready to hand them over to the locals for a reward. One or two of them must have a bounty on their head, even if it is little."

Although she knew that they were small-time pirates with an overused name, they still may be worth something if handed over to a place that collects bounties, whether it is a marine post or a broker that handles it for others.

Alyssia had an eye for an eye mentality when it came to these pirates. If they wished to rob her, then she felt that it was fine to do the same.

Their treasures may be found or stolen from others, but once they lost to her and her crew, they become her property.

It would also serve as a warning to others that she is no pushover.

Right as the fight ended, and the crew cleaned up the mess that was created, Alyssia stepped towards the side of the ship and looked down at the people below with a provocative look on her face. "Anyone else wishes to take up the challenge like these people?"

It was not her being arrogant, but she needed to establish her position so that she could make use of the system to gather more fame points and also warn off anyone who thought it would be a good idea to follow the pirate group who were defeated.

If she took a weak stance, more would come later or would try to play some tricks in the dark without knowing the consequences of their actions.

Many had grown used to their criminal lives and only really were careful around their superiors, law enforcement figures or those in power, so when a newcomer arrives, they make many mistakes offending the wrong type of people.

The more experienced of them have learned to hide in the dark and watch how everything plays out before they make a move like a serpent hiding and waiting for their prey to show weakness.

Now that their crew were unharmed, even when outnumbered, they began to pay more attention to Alyssia and her crew members but remained cautious and waited to see if a chance presents itself.

However, they did not expect their next course of action.

Alyssia held a map in her hands which had been marked with an X and left the crew while running, followed by Archie.

Archie was suitable to bring along to carry heavy items and look through the ship for anything of value, but Carrot, Tristan and Clifford were most suitable for defending the ship.

The combination of those three was more than enough to handle ordinary humans that only had some fighting experience against ordinary people and other low-level pirates or marines at most. Even the less experienced Clifford and Archie could handle many people on their own thanks to their high agility and beast sense, that allows them to adapt to many situations.

Taking down a mink is not so easy of a task unless dirty tactics are used or the other party is someone with the kind of fame to be known as a supernova or of a similar bounty or strength.

Even if that was true, Alyssia did not feel comfortable leaving the ship alone or with too few of her crew on board as she went elsewhere, even on this island because she did not know what hidden forces might be hiding here.

After arriving on the ship, she couldn't help be reveal a look of disgust. "Truly… the pirate life sure is one that was never really explained in great detail. This hygiene problem is really serious.. so much for the glorious life on the seas and looking all flashy like the straw hats."

Archie looked confused and asked. "What do you mean?"

She shrugged in response. "Nothing… just the smell and mess on the ship of these pirates is so bad."

With her beast sense as a passive, it was something that was always on, but it became more active during combat situations, so now that she had stepped on the ship her sense of smell was able to pick up the foul smells of the pirates. "Mould.. urine… smelly feet and body odour urk!"

She turned to Archie and pinched her nose while talking. "Hurry and get this over with. After this, you can pay someone to clean the ship so that it looks and smells presentable. We may be able to make some extra berry from the ship if it doesn't have so many faults."

Archie looked a little happy. "Boss, can I fix it up a little? I promise I will not put too much of our savings into it!"

She looked at him and then replied. "Good idea. If it has too many faults, they will only lower the price down further, so do what you can in the next couple of days."

Archie smiled foolishly. "Thanks, boss!"

She sighed in response. "Let's get to work!"

Some time passed and everything was dug out from every corner or place where someone could hide their secret stash and put it in a large carrying crate or bag.

Several large bags of jewels, weapons and berries were inside, which showed that they had a successful pirate life or were successful in some jobs that they had been given in the past.

She looked over everything carefully before separating them into different categories. "Sell the jewels and weapons. They are useless, but keep the few navigation and logbooks and any other books or information that they have collected. What a shame.. they have no devil fruits. I could have sold it for a high price."

Would a small-time but quite large-sized pirate group have a devil fruit? Probably not, but there was always the small chance that they were lucky enough to encounter it or steal it from someone on their travels, so even if the chances were small, she would not mind acquiring one.

Many people wanted to own a devil fruit to make themselves powerful without having to put the effort into building their body up through hard work and would pay large amounts for it so it was one of the world's best money-making opportunities that paid a large sum of berries besides hunting pirates with a large bounty.

Alyssia already had a mink body type with a superpower-like ability called Electro and also a cost effective and situational Sulong form to use, but even then she continued to train hard.

With the current advantages that she had and the weaknesses of the minks, she did not wish to add a devil fruit power to her body to create another type of weakness in exchange for a power that may disrupt all of her training and martial arts style that she was developing.

Many devil fruit users tend to develop their fighting style to suit their devil fruit abilities, so if she ate one, then what she had learned and ingrained into her body would have to be changed once again.
