A couple of years passed and Alyssia adjusted to the mink's lifestyle while she slowly digested the knowledge that had been given to her. Much like Black Leg Sanji, Bon Clay, Ivankov, Vergo and many others who use their legs, knees and feet in their fighting styles, Alyssia was taking the same path but the main problem was that while they had their own forms and styles, Alyssia had to factor in certain variables.
One of which was her Electro and Sulong abilities, which would boost her speed and would change the way she is able to fight. Many electricity users usually move in a linear path so they either go in a straight line during quick bursts or travel to one location before changing the direction like zig-zagging.
If an attack misses, then there is also the problem that the force of the powered kick would make the user continue forward and lose control. This would either result in falling or leaving the back open to a counterattack before the user can stabilize their body.
Linear motions consist of more blunt and direct techniques such as head-on strikes. These motions are also called Hard Techniques and can involve striking one diagonally. These techniques require a lot of general strength to execute properly with a great focus on technique to make the most of the strike.
Circular motions, on the other hand, are more defensive in nature. It's meant to use an attacker's strength and momentum against themselves. This also involves a defender using the minimum amount of strength needed, which means technique and form are given great emphasis.
Alyssia decided on focussing on training her whole body's strength but focus on styles that most suited her legs and began to repetitively perform the same movements over and over again to gain familiarity with them.
While she did enjoy some other styles, she found that Taekwondo had many simpler movements and kicks within the basic grade of leg martial arts. So, she began to focus on learning them first but she also tried to learn some of the kicks from Muay Thai that target the opponent's legs, to push them back or sweep them to the ground.
Although she could learn to incorporate punches into her style, she felt that she needed to keep her hands in good condition like Sanji had done, for her other profession.
Navigation requires the use of drawing out maps and precision work, so she needs her hands to be in good condition. So, it is no good if she breaks her fingers or wrist during training or in battle when throwing a punch when her main power comes from her legs.
Since she also has a strong Kangaroo tail, which helps her to gain balance and control over her body and she could also attack with it and make up for some flaws, so her hands were not really all that needed for combat.
At the age of four, Alyssia's small figure could be seen practicing simple kicks repetitively and then switching to another leg. Sometimes she would kick forward and then return to normal and then kick up high then bend her leg so that her heel would come around to target her imaginary enemy's head.
Other times, she would use her arms to protect her face and chest, while her legs would kick towards her imaginary enemy's legs at the side of their knees to make them lose balance. After completing several actions as if she had been training for a long time, she had to wipe the sweat that formed on her forehead before heading back to have food with her family. During her free time, she had developed the habit of training her mind to further discipline herself like a martial artist should.
In her previous life, she learned to adapt and endure many hardships as a child without parents so accepting the new reality was not much of a struggle, but she knows the future and the fate of the minks. So, she could either flee the island and risk being captured by some money-hungry people to sell her to a life of slavery or get lucky and live a secluded life somewhere safe, or… she could devote herself to her practice and utilize the system to the best of her circumstances.
If she remembered correctly, Luffy had been born around the time that she had and now she had gained an advantage over the world's protagonist but that did not mean that he would not surpass her one day if she slacked off on her training.
Even Luffy struggled to overcome his enemies and most of the time, luck or his resilience helped him come out as the victor. She knew that there would be a time when he would make his way to Zou and the minks would join in the battle for Wano along with having to endure the attack of Jack the Drought beforehand.
If she wished to survive those events or travel to sea one day, she would need the strength to overcome those trials. But after a couple of years of receiving love from her family, another thought popped into her mind…
Would she really be willing to let the attack happen to Zou resulting in the two main leaders losing a limb, many injured and dead along with the destruction of many ancient buildings and historical sites just so that the Straw Hats can come in and help them out during their time of need and then the protagonist can show up with his lucky halo to form an alliance to overthrow Kaido and Orochi.
As much as loyal the Cat and Dog Rulers were to Oden and wished for revenge and treated their people well, she did not wish to put her people in danger for no reason especially if it only served to benefit others, and in no way would she want her family and friends to be dragged into it.
Over the four years, Alyssia's stats had grown a little because of the constant training of her body and mind with the help of her system. Her talents had improved a great deal but there were always limits on how much they could be improved without gaining real experience or through experimentation.
Leg Martial Arts had reached 60% Mastery, thanks to completely absorbing the basic information given to her and through constant practice and repetition but she required real fighting experience to be able to completely master what she had been given.

The same was true for her Navigation talent, which had reached around 50% Mastery after reading through the basic knowledge and memorizing it. In order to progress further, she would need to test it out and use it in real life to properly make the talent and knowledge her own.
In order to further expand her mastery, she made plans to learn tracking and hunting skills and apply them towards constructing land maps of the island. She could then use her experience to make use of her knowledge and slowly perfect and use her talents that she had gained until the system notified her that she had reached 100% mastery.
Even learning the basics of her Science Skill may prove to be beneficial for her Navigation Skill among other Skills so she did not neglect it and continued to work on it in her free time, but she had very few things to use to experiment with so she focussed on relearning what had been changed from her school knowledge in Chemistry, Biology and Physics to fit the One Piece world.
Even Devil Fruits have an element or rule of some kind, even if their abilities seem strange or overpowered but if someone has enough knowledge, a weakness can be found.
Remaining an idiot like the protagonist, and relying on her brute strength and fighting instinct to win fights was not something she would do, so she had to overcome various difficulties with a little bit of brainpower too.
There were too many dangers in the world that wasn't just from humans or animals, she could drown at sea, die of poison, choke on a peanut, run out of living supplies or simply trip on a stone and fall from a high place.

So she still had to make use of her current skills for now to increase her survival skills. The main problem was her Main Profession which had shown no signs of making progress, so she could not purchase any new Skills or Upgrades even if they are fully mastered already.
Before long, she felt fed up with how things were going with her progress over the years and had no choice but to work on her Main Profession's progression. In the street outside her home, Alyssia's small figure walked towards the house next door and knocked on the door.
An adult mink opened the door and asked. "What are you knocking for?"
He was a little puzzled, the neighbour's kid usually kept to herself and rarely socialized with others within Zou, so it was a surprise that she had suddenly come to his home for some reason. Alyssia cleared her throat and declared in a voice that had a small amount of embarrassment in it.
"I am here to challenge your daughter to a duel!"
Inside her head, she silently beat herself up and felt like suddenly throwing away the system and going into hiding. As a Martial Artist, she needs to initiate or accept a duel in order to begin her task and if she defeats her opponent, she would be able to gain some experience or points which can be used to upgrade her Main Profession, the skills in her possession or purchase new ones.
The problem is that she has to vocally express her desire to duel and compete against an opponent according to a Martial Artist's way of challenging opponents or dojos within the world, so it was a little embarrassing to put it into practice.
While Alyssia was beating herself up inside and completely embarrassed, the mink behind the door looked at her and expressed his understanding that kids will be kids, so he replied.
"Wait here, I will go get her."
In his mind, she was just another kid wishing to make friends with someone their age but did not know how to express it, or she had a quirky personality so he did not mind her request and even if a duel did take place, he felt it would not get out of hand because of the minks natural fighting and high regeneration abilities.
If anything, it would be a good thing for his daughter to experience a fight early in life so long as there is no big danger, so he felt it was best to supervise the duel.
If Alyssia knew of his thoughts, she would definitely reply by yelling in a voice filled with rage. "I can't believe you just thought of me as someone with 8th-grade syndrome!" Not like it would matter if he thought so anyway because her body's age was only four so there was no harm to her reputation but still it would be embarrassing for her twenty-plus year old soul.
It did not take long before the daughter had arrived at the door and looked at Alyssia a little weirdly. At the door was a light blue-haired Squirrel mink with tan fur, a dark patch on her forehead down to her nose, and a large bushy brown tail with two dark stripes down the center.
Upon seeing the mink up close, Alyssia immediately recognized her but also could understand the way she was looking at herself.
Tristan the squirrel mink, is scared by strange people or things which is displayed within the manga when she witnessed the scene of a skeleton talking to a dragon which was Brook and Momo, so Alyssia could understand her caution towards the sudden request and arrival.
Tristan would later be known as an experienced electro user who worked under the Goat doctor, so it showed that she had the potential to be a decent fighter and would be able to learn how to treat various illnesses and wounds.
Instantly a new idea appeared in her mind which helped to reduce her workload and let her focus on other things. No matter how talented she was or what she had to help her, there was a limit to what she could learn and focus on so she required others to assist her. If Tristan could be befriended then the position of a Doctor would be filled.
On the protagonist's crew, he had recruited a Swordsman, Navigator, Sniper, Cook, Doctor, Archaeologist, Shipwright, Musician and a Helmsman, before even adding the other people who had joined temporarily or had the potential to become a crew member like Carrot while he himself held the position as Captain and was useless in most other things besides fighting.
Alyssia had picked the Talents and Knowledge to be able to fulfill the role of a Leader or Captain and also be able to become a Navigator and perhaps a temporary Cook too. If she were to set sail one day she would still need someone else to take up other roles.
Alyssia straightened up her posture and looked as unthreatening as possible in order to not startle her, then spoke in a soft voice.
"Tristan, I challenge you to a duel! Do you accept?"
A few moments passed in silence and there was a little of an awkward atmosphere in the air but finally, Tristan replied as she looked towards her father who was pleading in her direction to accept the request.
"Okay, I accept"
All of a sudden, a Ding sound went off in Alyssia's head and she closed her eyes for a couple of seconds.
Within her mind, she was able to read what had popped up on the system screen.
<Ding! User has initiated their first Duel. If the user wins the first duel, the user will be rewarded with 20 Reward Points upon completion.>
